[Music] glad to have you with us from Tampa Raymond James Stadium as a couple of teams get set to square off in the Union home mortgage Gasparilla Bowl there's nothing quite like wrapping up a regular season with a Bowl victory it just leaves a good taste in your mouth going into the off Seas as we'll see a squad from the Big 12 the TCU horn frogs taking on a team from the ACC the North Carolina Tar Heel glad to have you with us for EA Sports college football I'm Rees Davis David Po and Jesse Palmer with me in the booth guys we are ready to te it up [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] kickoff team is out there ready to get this bowl game [Applause] underway from inside the 15 here comes to return couldn't find a way to create that broken field as he stopped at the [Applause] 25 offense set on first down they weren't able to get that one off it'll be a delay of game that is a completely avoidable penalty the quarterback just went into brain lock and lost track of the play clock looks as if they didn't get it off in time it'll be a delay of game the quarterback just lost track of the play clock didn't get the snap off quickly enough offense getting set for first down go looking for a crease to the left thrust that arm out they make the stop but not before he takes a chunk out of what they need to move the sticks and as the game goes on you're going to see this offense continue to use the RPO that look was conducive to handing it off the defense now is going to start putting more guys in the Box to slow this running back down and that's when the quarterback's going to have an opportunity to keep the football and make plays throwing rumbles ahead for a think up of five to the 29 com and as an offense having success on a run play like that early in the game just opens up all the possibilities of your playbook moving forward play action running the ball throwing the ball screens anything is at your disposal at this point oh he's going to try to hit him deep oh he dro op it and what a missed opportunity early in this football game this is a point where you just got to be able to focus in the critical down and distances in this game like that third down right there when it's a good throw you got to make the catch you've got to be able to make that play they are backing up their pregame words their first drive of the game fourth down in their own end and they're going for it he'll try to throw and pick up the first down fires into traag picked off trying to take it back and they'll close in on him after a good return on the interception that's kind of a double whammy for this offense because on their opening drive not only did they turn it over with the interception but they've Now set their defense up in a really tough spot deep in their own end here comes the offense on first down he Wast no time and comes out throwing the short hands it's Williams that's about as close as you can get to that marker and it will be second and just a few breaths away from the first down when you're a defense you have a choice do you play man or do you play zone they sat back in zone that might change they might change their mind and try to switch to man here shortly in the future from the Red Zone it's Sanders fights off a Defender they get him down but this offense is set up first and goal from the night all right guys that's not a home run type play but he did enough there to keep the chains moving the horn frogs will try to punch it in on first and goal quarterback Quick Pass to the receiver and a nice run there before the defense finally makes the Stop and the horn frogs racing to the line in the hurry up go Straight Ahead he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three listen the defense won that play as an offense here the key David you can't go backto back negative plays you got to be smart with the football here looks like you're going to have to throw it just can't force it you got to make sure you're playing with that clock in your head you can't take a sack and I think this is a situation where I spread you out I get more speed on the field I make the defense declare I see what they're in but I'm definitely throwing the football and they've got him down after the short completion but they inch closer and closer to per makes his connection and he'll take this into the end zone but hang on just a second flag down let's see what this is about so the decision has been made and the coach will take the penalty this seems to be a chip shot field goal attempt in a routine three points but they will go for it on fourth down gorilla gorilla he's looking to pass and the incomplete pass turns the ball over on down so many factors go into making the big play in the big moment calling the right play getting protection you got it all B up it's perfect and then he does that drops the ball right in his hands touch pass on the Jet Sweep they needed to find enough space and get it get moving forward he's T to 22 well guys bll season is here always fun to get these non-traditional matchups That You Don't See regularly what do you guys remember about playing in a bowl I think you remember all the moments throughout the season throughout your career and then it's the last time that you ever get these group of individuals together you say goodbye to so many people and and it's kind of bitter sweet but always fun Jesse um to do to dance with your boys one last time but another thing too I love the Swag Bags personally I love getting the gifts yeah I mean to me David really it was thinking about the tradition and history of these bowl games I think that's one of the best things about college football we're in an era today where goal games don't matter as much as they did back when you and I played but it was special to take the field with your guys one more time but playing in games that had so much history after the incompletion it's second and 10 from their own 25 oh the quarterback can make a big play when he starts moving around and he is going to lose yardage nowhere to run as he is forced out of bounds defensive lineman live to get after the quarterback to get sacks to get by those big hog moles up front on the offensive line and say you taste dirt you make up the game plan and not a lot on the play sheet for this third and long from inside their own 20 looking to pass it's Harold quarterback moving out of the pocket that pass is well off Target he got hit as he was trying to throw and they can't convert on third down the tars will line up to punt it [Applause] away makes a move that Nifty return sets up the offense and negate some of the yardage on the punt first and TCU has it back in the horn frogs go on offense boy that last Drive they had a chance to put three on the board and pass this one needs to be productive David I I got no problem with aggressiveness it was a pretty decent drive this offense didn't fully clicking yet they need to get in a little better Rhythm and they need to capitalize on those scoring opportunities and they've got the weapons to do that too David they've got guys that can make plays in space they need to focus on them and get them the ball this got three on first down it's second and seven here we go he's looking to throw got away from trouble and got rid of it fires to the tight end and they'll finally catch up to him but not before a big chunk of yardage is picked up man this offense is so dangerous ree they've got dudes all over the field that can make plays there's a big gainer in the pass game you get a chunk of yards like that now the defense is really on its heels throwing right he caught it and he will score touchdown hard frog one of the reasons this offense is so exciting to watch they've got guys that are dangerous after the catch if this quarterback gets through his progression David he hits you in stride these guys will take it to the house man it's your job to do the rest right you hit me in stride where I don't have to stop running I don't have to break down it makes it so easy the connection between quarterback wide receiver you can tell this is a good one and that's why they got six on that play no shot at a return it's out of the end zone and it'll be a [Music] Touchback LLY gets set first [Applause] down P jet sweet pass looking for room at the 40 can anyone catch it and they get him out of bounds after an explosive run just chewing up yardage along the [Applause] way that's the end of the first quarter with the score TCU s North Carolina Z back at it to open the quarter with this first down play on the run it's Marlo tough sledding there as he picks up one to the 29 I get it that the game is the primary thing about going to a bow but there are so many festivities surrounding it Jesse what do you remember about something you experienced there was a lot of pageantry when I think back to the bowl games I played in and you have function you get to visit a brand new City generally in warm weather you get to meet the other team there's some friendly competition the biggest thing that stands out to me though was a street brawl against the Miami Hurricanes with Bourbon Street getting ready for the Sugar Bowl about 12 hard to forget that well great job there by the defense because they weren't able to get him sacked right away but you saw the coverage in the back end nor the quarterback to throw the football didn't get the sack obviously you don't get the negative play but you also don't give up a big one you're feeling pretty good about where you are right now in this drive to the ground to try to move the chains they were all over him nowhere to go as that third down play turned into a disaster great team defense on that one play everybody doing their job people winning their one-on ones D linemen staying in their gaps linebackers and DBS filling you just can't do it better they'll move the running back to try to force the defense to adjust into the end zone touchdown North Carolina on to attempt the [Applause] try smashes it through for the pat they put together a five playay 75 yd drive and they close the deal with a 20yd pass for Six and they thought about a return Then thought better better of it they'll bring it out to the [Music] 25 TCU will send its offense back onto the field Jesse a very productive Drive last time wound up with a touchdown yeah mixing and matching play calling really well nice balance on that last one day we'll see what they can do here in this next Drive yeah and I don't expect anything different when you put together a drive like that I would do more of the same keep the pace keep it going maybe some confusion on the snap count it's going to be a false start the officials offer the deal and the coach accepts it they will take the penalty line getting set on second down motion by the back forces the defense to adjust feeling some heat that pass is incomplete and they're probably fortunate that it wasn't knock free for a fumble they've made third down offense a key it'll be tested on Third and long from the 28 with the catch it's Sanders nice pitch and catch there and they'll have enough for the first down nice job by the QB it's third down it's money down I'm looking to throw the ball down the field what what what what's open my running back find him hit him let him do the rest good job back to the air one more time he's got it really nice job there by both guys the throw and the catch to work that defense and get the first down the horn frogs are moving quickly down the field off the play fake on first down wants to throw and he got smacked just as he released the pass it's incomplete one thing I've noticed from talking to coaches about their approach to bowl games is how many of them use it as a springboard for next season they try to focus on developing some of the new guys maybe that have joined them for the Bowl practices I mean you get 15 plus extra practices you start to play and experience more as young guys the older guys get a little bit more rest but yeah you're building the F touchdown TCU reeled it in and just made the house call this is a receiver that is so good running routes you never know which way he's going to go at the top of his route because he doesn't kick he doesn't Telegraph where he's going the timing on corner routs is so important and the quarterback did a nice job getting it out early so his receiver could make the catch and take it into the end zone and the extra point is true and they're on top by seven so that scoring Drive took only six plays and the score comes on a 35 yd pass pass for [Music] Six lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown [Applause] drive here he comes from inside his own five he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 [Applause] nor Carolina has it back in the tarel so pleased to send the offense back out that last drive an absolute aerial assault for the touchdown Jesse and it was a nice job in play calling too David just giving the makes the grab on the right hit the afterburners kid he's at the 10 touchdown UNC and once he found some daylight it was time to make a house call and how about the tight end showing off the athletic ability does a great job in the blocking game now when you need to make a big play in the passing game you just turn him loose throw him the football and he can make big plays like he did right here [Applause] [Music] after that latest answer tied things up just about set to kick it away again and he'll just take a knee and this drive will start at the [Music] 25 TCU has it back in the horn frogs go on offense these two defenses have had their head spinning here in the first half and now we might even see a little more scoring with this drive it's going back oh look out there he goes just gashing this defense a big Gainer to the 40 yd line and the quarterback knew exactly where he wanted to go the football had time spins the ball deep nice job by this offense understanding what the defense has giving him and create an explosive play going up top on first down fires to the tight end he knew exactly where he wanted to go with that one and they've got enough for the first down they pick up the first down on the drag route I know that seems like a simple route but it's actually a lot more complex than what it looks like because that route changes based on whether it's man or Zone if it's man coverage he's flying AC unleashes one deep makes the catch he gets it in touchdown hard frog try to add another to their lead and with the extra point the score is now 21- 14 quick strike offense on that three-play scoring drive and the score comes on a touchdown pass covering 28 yds the kickoff team takes the field to boot this one away he'll bring it back looking for help bust through behind his P didn't find any crease in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the [Applause] 17 the North Carolina offense returns to the field the way this game started you feel as if you have to score a touchdown every time you have it and now we'll see if they can respond yeah and I wonder how much pressure that puts on the offense Jesse like you know this is back and forth that I got to score and every possession matters so much what does that do to you as a quol well it puts a lot more pressure on you for sure to feel like I got to make every third down throw if guys are open vertically down the field I got to hit them too we can't let our serve get broken they go to the ground they make the Stop and this running game moves the change as they get the first down and here we go if you're an offense you got to get that ground gain going so you can have some balance and then you give it to your quarterback Palmer and let him make some plays down the field later on yeah exactly and know coming into this game this offense knew they were going to have to someway somehow at least establish a semblance of a running game for exactly what you just said you got to be able to use playaction pass later in this game to get some explosive plays down makes the grab on the left side and they'll do more than move the chain they'll move that thing more than 30 yd down the field before he's finally stopped the offense showing motion from the tight end trying to get a read on the D looking for room it's Hampton not a whole lot of room there three yards maybe second and seven and offenses want to continue to feature the Run they want balance even if it's not super successful you can take it little bit at a time just to keep that defense after the three- yd pickup they come to the line Second and seven wide receiver shows motion they feed him again solid fundamentals on that tackle from this freshman they're strong and they're strong defensive tackles they're strong there's such big jokers in the Middle where they just lock out those offensive linemen and running backs listen they don't have much of a chance when you got that 300 plus pound guy grabbing you around the shoulder pad you they go to the ground pretty quick on Third and long trying to have a big completion here that has not close as he got thrilled trying to deliver it and it'll bring up fourth down yeah and third and short that choose not to run throw the football and I think a lot of that has to do with they know they're in field goal range they can take the three points on the board one for two on fourth down attempt so far and we we will get a third attempt here he'll try to throw and pick up the first down and this will fall incomplete and they'll turn it over on Downs that is just a play you have got to be able to come up with they don't get bigger than that fourth down you've got to make the catch whether it's a perfect throw or whether it's off of your body you're good enough if you're athletic enough to haul that play in you've got to make the play for your quarterback and your offense to keep that drive alive and he's not able to come up with he had all kinds of company as soon as he got it he had to fight his way back just to get to the line of scrimmage the offense will have to use its first time out of the [Applause] [Music] half they got nothing on the last play it's second and 10 he's looking to throw he misses his man the accuracy just not what it needed to be on that play well the good news is he did a nice job reading the coverage he knew exactly where to go with the football that time just a little bit too much on that pass you wonder if that's just nerves got to settle himself down third down conversions are a huge stat and this one would be a doozy if they can pull it off from the gun wants to pass pressure coming and the def defense gets to the quarterback of 11 [Applause] the on fourth down looking for the completion he's got it down the left they finally make the stop that's going to make those halftime stats look a little bit nicer as we head to the break first half in the books time now to join Kevin Connors in our halftime update and the Tar Heels will kick it off to start the second [Applause] half oh he's going to take a chance and bring it out stopped at the 17 and he's probably second guessing that [Applause] [Music] [Applause] return TCU will send it offense back onto the field and they got it done in the first half but the job now follow up close the deal and bring home a bold Victory finish you hear teams say it all the time that applies to them right now David here in the second half it's a lot of really good things and that first half need some more big plays here to get this double and you've seen it with Bowl gam big swing fires and picked off looking for more room the 30 he goes out of bounds but he just about did H it himself what a return after the interception here's this offense with a fresh set of downs receiver on the Move gets the touch pass got some room headed to the goal line and he's on his way he'll go all the way touchdown tarel and they did make the extra point and we have a tie ball game here in the third that's taking advantage of a golden opportunity set up with great field position and they struck quickly for the touchdown so much for the Touchback here he comes it's great to think you're going to score every time you return it but man what a bad decision he's down at the six TCU has it back in the horn frogs go on offense after that last pick David they really need to take care of the ball this time no doubt and Palmer I want to know what Spurrier said to you on the sideline after a pick do that again and you'll be right here beside me for the rest of the game you got to go out you got to call your plays and I hope this coaching staff isn't going to be afraid to throw it this drive three yards first down for the offense after that penalty they're going to throw it to start the drive time to take a shot fires into traffic it's it's picked off God got some room to run inside the 30 he's at the 10 and he's out of Bounds at the three almost took that one all the way back what an interception he's dangerous because not only can he catch the ball and pluck it out of the air but he's hard to bring down too this is a guy that I think could play offense for a lot of programs around the country touchdown North Carolina and with that one they jump on top here in the second half a quick strike just as we expected yeah and quick strikes are easy when you got such great field position obviously when the offense starts in such a good spot puts the defense in a bad position and the offense takes advantage he's going to bring it out from deep that gamble did not pay off as they bring him down at the 12 yd line first and 10 TCU will send its offense back onto the field let's see if this drive goes better than the last one they were in and out quickly after the quick pick David yeah first play big mistake man now it's complete a huge pickup and they'll get it to the 39 yd line and they'll move the chains and how a defense I got to find a way to get some more pressure on the quarterback or disrupt their timing and their Rhythm I can't give give him these big chunk plays through the air I got to be maybe a little bit more aggressive or do something a little bit different hit hard just as he released it on first down and just couldn't get it to the receiver this QB has had a lot of success all day long throwing for so many touchdowns looking very comfortable finally the defense gets to him finally the defense gets a win they needed something to go their way got to start getting some more hits on this guy fires to the middle receiver wasn't ready for the throw [Music] incomplete they had the big play to start the drive but a couple of misfires now leaves us with third in 10 off the play fake using his feet to buy time and he throws another interception his third of the night and they'll drag him down after a good intercepted intercep a veteran in this defense stayed locked in on his rules and made the interception North Carolina has it back in the Tar Heel so pleased to send the offense back out and David how they would would love to stick it in the end zone one more time after that last drive and once you get the defense on their heels and you back them off a little bit you get in a little bit of Rhythm it's really hard to stop Jesse and they're going to try to do it again right here and if you're this play caller you're loving what's happening right now because everything you dialed up on that last Drive ended up working out you're just looking at your play sheet everything you're picking is working let's see if they can pull it off again here looking downfield it's Harold looking to scramble gets rid of it quickly to the tie end and a good job of coverage by that defense just a short pick up a nice job by the defense there tackling the catch and smothering the tight end they know this offense is going to try to find him in the passing game and a lot of different situations that time perfect coverage and nice job bringing the big guy down not easy to do fires toward the end zone and good coverage there to knock it away and deny the score the offense is trying to go with a quick throw here and see if he can catch the defense napping but great job and coverage forces the incompletion just one for three on fourth down today but they'll try to move those chains with this play quarterback changing the plays at the line on fourth down they're taking to the air going back to the well another deep ball and it's picked off right at the goal line God brw on the return he's out of bounds showing off the hands on the pick and then the Nifty moves on a terrific return and they were most fortunate to catch up to him there he almost turned that into a pick sick man and he had a convoy too as soon as he had the ball he just looked around him there was just a lot of open grain and took off great job by his teammates on defense getting down field and setting up some blocks complete downfield they make the stop but this passing game does some damage and they move the sticks with the first down great spot to attack there right off the turnover try to strike and keep them reeling absolutely coaching 101 Sudden Change when you create a turnover and you get the ball back on offense attack attack attack use the momentum try to make a big play and the horn frogs want to pick up the [Applause] tempo back to throw it's Hoover On The Run still looking and the pressure gets there and down he goes at the 18 you try to catch him off bounds maybe on first down and goal right here a situation where maybe you sneak in a pass defense was ready got the sack now now you got to be a little bit more creative now that you got the negative play the defense I know you worked this all week you got to get ready to execute the Red Zone this defense is going to have to be careful not only do they have to worry about this guy and it looks as if theyve buzzed down replay wants to have another peek at that last play and they take another look at the play with the officials on the field we're right and the play will stand huge play in the Red Zone Third and goal coming up9 trying to barge in into the end zone he goes touchdown TCU ready to try the point after and I love the physicality of this offense it's third and goal it's money time I've got to be more physical than you and that's exactly what this offense just did put the ball on the ground and put it in the [Applause] inside he'll take the return and try to improve the field position and The Return Man is stopped and will leave it up to the offense on the next [Applause] Drive looking for a productive play on first down easy he'll put the tight end in motion the give to the back across the 25 he's got room and he's running in the open and that was a huge run that almost went to the house the defense kept him from scoring he's up to 86 yds rushing and getting ever closer to that 1200 yd Mark looking for space it's Barlo a strong tackle and wrap up from the junior that's a really good job by the defense wrapping him up getting him on the ground take away that run game make him onedimensional put him in passing situations really good job by the defense they'll go to the ground had to work to pick up three down to the 33 yd line started this drive with a bang but now it is third down the back goes in motion little touch pass to the receiver he gets it oh so close to the first down marker but I think he's going to be a touch short no sign of the field goal team they'll go for it on Fourth and short from the 28th they'll try it on the ground he's not going to get there stopped short on fourth down hey if you're going to go for it on fourth down and you decide to run the football you got to be sure up front that you're going to win The Trenches they didn't get it done that time they need to be more physical moving forward they're going to try to do that again in the same type of situation in this game quick pass on the jet motion banging slithering whatever it takes to get that ball up to the [Applause] 32 that's the end of the third quarter and after 30 we all TI [Music] will start the quarter offense about to snap it on second down back to pass it's Hoover looking deep snags it on the right he's Off to the Races touchdown hard frog and they grab the advantage taking the lead here in the four number zero and the defense lets the big tight end get behind him and you could see it when he saw his tight end streaking down the field he knew he had to throw it up in the air let him go make a play he does it big play for this [Applause] offense just unloaded on that kickoff don't have to worry about a return on a kick like that they'll bring it out to the 25 [Applause] [Music] the North Carolina offense returns to the field that last Drive was promising at times but stalled out and they turned it over on Downs Jesse I think they got to do a better job here just being better early in the Downs on first down finding positive yeah and it's frustrating when you move the football and get stopped on the other side of the field and get no points but they've had some success and I like the aggressiveness they just got to cash some of these drives in last incompletion leaves them still sitting at their own 25 with second and 10 getting some heat and the defense is all over the quarterback and down he goes the tars are in the hurry up on Third and long doesn't need to take the check down in these situations third eternity exactly what to do I'm putting more DBS on the field I know it's a pass my best pass defenses and then I turn my pass rushes loose go get that QB the coach still thinks he was right the officials say he was not the challenge is denied and the timeout is gone he just wanted to get it out of there from his end zone he'll haul it in right around the logo he's brought down but a really solid effort to pick up every bit of yardage he could on the punt return TCU has it back in the horn frogs go on offense and now that cushion is a little bit smaller Jesse and any mistake would get magnified yeah little bit of pressure now on this offense he's got and he will score touch down now TCU TCU know quarterbacks and receivers they develop confidence and chemistry as the game goes on these two right now are definitely on the same page and the extra point is true and they have a two touchdown lead up 14 in the fourth air lining up to boot it away car no chance return that one a booming kickoff out of the back of the end zone it's a Touchback they'll put this one in play first snap of the drive from the 25 motion trying to get the defense to show his hand coming after him he's there to make the Stop and they threw it in reverse losing yardage on that play I think if you're the head coach at this point telling your offense doesn't matter what's happened up to this point of the game obviously things haven't gone our way but we have a chance to execute in a two-minute situation and give ourselves a chance to win let's go do it one play at a time quarterback floating away from pressure on the move he fires working that left side that is exactly what you're looking for when you talk explosive plays the defense finally able to make the stop offense lines up for a first and 10 from the 43 receivers telling the quarterback what they see looking to go up top on first down he lets it Fly and he throws another interception his third one of the night takes it the other way and a big return after the int sets up the offense for this possession heat up them pass rushers bringing them DBS that's what I'm doing in this situation when I got the lead by a couple scores late in the ball game in the fourth quarter I'm going to rush the passer like crazy I'm going to put all those DBS back playing the pass that's what happened great job understanding they're going to have to take shots we get the interception this one's almost over looking for a deep man and that one's incomplete wor taking a shot there but couldn't hook up you know these throws to the perimeter of the field can be so tricky for a quarterback you've got to be pinpoint accurate and have great timing you didn't see it there from the QB couldn't get anything done on first down now second and 10 from the 46 to the air it's Hoover this time he's got it open space at the 25 and he almost ran away from everybody on that one a huge pick up on that play man it's go time for this defense now I mean you're down by a couple scores and they're still making big plays you got to find a way to get stop create a turnover switch the momentum to your side quickly just missed his man gave him just a little too much and on that incompletion I think the quarterback is being just a bit too careful trying to throw that ball too far outside obviously aware that the Defenders are coming from the inside you don't want to put it behind the intended target and risk the pick six but he needs to be more accurate nowhere close on that one as he got drilled trying to deliver the football and now they face third down well as a quarterback when you get to the outside you know you don't have all day to throw You' got these Defenders they are coming they're running at you hard so you've got to do a better job getting the ball out quicker that hit forc the incompletion on Third and long try to convert through the air quick strike complete and they'll finally get him down after a terrific pick up the horn frogs want to move quickly out of the gun looking to throw and the pressure was too much they get him at the 15 quarterback just has to be more aware of the situation first down go to go situation you cannot take a set so the QB if no one's open you got to make sure you're throwing that ball out of the end zone and helping your offense out is incomplete third and goal from way back back there looking to throw and he needs a chunk play quarterback feeling the pressure and down he goes at the 22 on the yeah in the defensive line you know third and long situations I'm rushing the quarterback you bringing the nickel a little bit more speed on the field and the defensive line gets home and gets the sack on third down and the kicker delivers the three ball to finish off the drive and that lead grows even bigger they're really starting to extend that lead as they get ready to kick it away again this will not be returnable as it sails out of the back of the end zone North Carolina has it back in the Tar Hill so pleased to send the offense back out mistakes are going to happen as they did on that last drive now how will they respond Jesse and this is the kind of guy who's going to take full accountability that was my bad that's on me I'm about to Le this offense now down the field scor some points dang I wish I would have play with you I didn't play with many quarterbacks I'm just like yeah my bad hey guys I got this sorry about that it was more should have ran a better route here comes the offense on second down back to pass it's Harold now he's going to Glide away from pressure nothing doing downfield he'll cut his losses and threw it away it'll be third down it's got to be frustrating to be this quarterback in this game too just never had confidence being able to step up in the pocket and deliver throws when he gets flush they're still taking away all the throws down the field it's just been one of those days on Third and long he's going to have to turn one loose downfield and the quarterback goes down all the way back at his four yd line it's pretty obvious this defense came into this one knowing they were going to have to play a complete game until there were zeros on the clock especially against this quarterback you cannot take your foot off the gas and that's exactly what they're doing here late in the fourth quarter they're still bringing it and they get another sack on fourth down going to the air he's taking a deep shot late in the game and it's his fourth interception of the game taking it the other way he'll go down right there but what a big play to come up with that turnover four BS take over first and 10 TCU will send its offense back onto the field firmly in control of this game we'll see if they just try to run out the clock and get out with the victory everybody on offense here should feel really good about their performance today too David they had a really good game plan coming into this one and they went out and they executed at a very high level yeah lights out and this game's over interested to see the philosophy now do we keep chucking the pill and keep trying to score points cuz it's the defense's resp responsibility to stop him or they just run this clock and say all right we did enough today we kick him in the face and the hor frog headit it quickly to the line had it in his hands for the score and let it fall to the turf it'll be third down well we are winding it down guys only a few more plays left in this season also wrapping up a really outstanding performance for this offense yeah and they're sending in touchdown hard frog and the route is on these guys looking to put the finishing touches on this game with that score yeah I think you feel confident that ends it right late in the game you would take a miracle for defense to get back in it that Miracle is no longer coming down about to kick it away after scoring the touchdown if you can do that I don't know why you don't do it every time reduce the risk bang it out of the back of the end zone they'll put it in play at the the 25 the North Carolina offense returns to the field it has been a rather forgettable day that's finally coming to a close David yeah he's looking deep and that makes five interceptions in this one the nightmare is alive and he's wrapped up after a solid return on the pick this is a beautiful situation for the defense when you're up by two plus scores and you're in this situation you know exactly what is coming it's going to be a pass they have to because the clock is their enemy great job playing pass forcing the interception almost putting the nail in the looking to move it through the air and the pressure gets to him down goes the quarterback I love the defensive effort there they didn't get him right away they stayed after him he was scrambling going backwards they get the sack on the first play of the drive oh he's going to try to get it all here and it falls incomplete and the offense is lucky to have it Defender right there almost headed in his grab some third down conversions tougher than others this one a long one on third down from the 43 fires to the wide out oh what a spectacular layout and catch this is the absolute right call they're going for it on fourth down he'll try to throw and pick up the first down makes the catch he's got him enough well they just drained all the suspense out of the fourth down conversion moving the chain easily the horn frogs have it with a first and 10 looking to throw it's Hoover unloads to the white out fires a bullet now it's picked off and he is brought to the ground and that's how we'll wrap
