clash between a couple of ACC rivals in a game that could have big time implications for the rest of the season as we'll see a team coming off a crucial by week the Virginia Cavaliers taking on the 19th rank team in the land the Miami Hurricanes for EA Sports college football ree Davis with you alongside David poock and Jesse Palmer time to get this game started and they thought about a return Then thought better of it they'll bring it out to the 25 the Cavaliers offense will start this game off and here comes the quarterback and one thing you know for sure with this team as he goes so goes Y and he's a big time Talent reace this guy can hurt you in a multitude of ways throwing and running the football he's going to have to be dialed in though because this defense is going to give him a lot of different looks it's really important mentally this QB is on his game I don't know why but it's a thing the ACC wheel of Destiny you spin it you never know how it's going to come up and you can't afford to give away a game early in a conference like this and I think both of these coaching stats David they get enough rush and it pays off the sack of the 20 you can barely hear yourself thinking here they're trying to get this defense off to a good start on Third and long hoping to throw beyond the sticks he'll pull it down on the move is the 30 and he's not going to get there the defense Stands Tall and makes the stop the Cavaliers will line up to punt it away this will be their first punt of the afternoon and he's going to get it up to about the 29 yd line before he's brought down so Miami's offense headed onto the field our first look at them today as we take a look at our impact players for this game David what do you look for to make an impact from your leaders your leaders not only have to lead the football team but they got to step up and make plays on the field keep everybody calm these guys typically do a really good job yeah David and they also generally set the tone for their respective football teams regardless of which side of the ball they play on the teammates look towards them to step up in big games like this rifles it down the middle and he makes the catch inside the 25 you get a guy who can do that on the outside and it's sort of been the DNA of Miami's program yeah just speed those are guys that put throws toward the end zone and good coverage there to knock it away and deny the score offense gets set for second down and they got him for the sack this defense they are tenacious and they've got guys up front that are athletic and that are so strong and then can collapse the pocket we saw it right there in that play action attemp and good hands there by the defense on that shot to the end zone quick timeout called by the offense after the play time Miami and on fourth down here comes the field goal unit he's going to have to get into this one a little bit from 47 ydd away and that is no good and guys after the Miss no change in the score after the Miss on the 47 yd field goal attempt they'll put it in play from Their Own 30yd Line the give to the tail back pretty good job of running to get two there to the 32 after picking up a couple it's second and eight on the move that play just never had a chance they knock him down for a loss of five Here Comes This Home crowd as the defense tries to get off the field on third down looking to throw and he needs a chunk play feeling some heat they're trying to get to it and the Cavaliers will call on on their punt team three and out they got stuck in Reverse they hope the punt can bail them out fair catch called for and [Music] made here comes the hurricane offense looking to gather a little more strength you want to talk about taking the wind out of your sails Drive the ball down the field and miss the field goal maybe you know what don't leave it up to Kickers execute better offensively I think you move the ball nice you got to keep that in mind but Palmer I think you got to stay aggressive and don't settle for field go yeah because you got to know there's just no margin for error right now you just have got to be able to execute at a higher level and here's the tackle at the line of scrimmage and that'll send us to the second quarter we've reached the end of the first quarter and it has been a defensive battle and the stats tell the tal so far let's see if the offenses can find a little rhythm here in the in the second a third down play to get the quarter started Anderson wants to throw makes the grab on the left he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense the kanes come to the line with a new set of downs trying to get to it hit hard as he released the ball on that first down pass and didn't never had a chance and and here comes the offense on second down Al Al he's looking to throw going for it all and makes the grab in the end zone touchdown hurricane each and every week I think this coaching staff does such a good job of steeming ways to get this guy the football in the passing game and defenses can't cover him without last catch this now his 10th receiving touchdown on the Seas and no chance at a return here they'll start this drive at their own 25 Virginia sending its offense back onto the field last time David it was one two three kick the last drive that three and out sometimes that put your defense in a bad spot and you got to get a drive together here so you don't wear the defense out I just think David too predictable that last Drive they got to do something here to get this defense on the Fels the give out of the gun [Applause] 26 somebody needs to make a play here it's third and long from the 26 from the gun wants to pass and they get to the quarterback and knock him down back at the 16 the Cavaliers will punt this one away re and out and not much choice but to get rid of the ball he only needs a sliver of daylight he's brought down with a really solid effort to pick up any bit of yardage he could on the pun return and here comes that Miami offense back onto the field unloads to the wide out complete downfield and they'll finally catch up to him but not before a big chunk of yardage is picked up after that huge gain now a chance to cash it in from just outside the five a first down run in the Red Zone he pushes his way down to the four as they get closer and closer now on second and goal Anderson will throw got it takes it to the house touchdown cage and coming into the game you look at the stats and you say top 10 offense in scor so they better be able to create what explosive plays another explosive plays they've been doing it all year long those plays are back Breakers defenses just can't contain this offense and he takes this from inside the five and good work by the coverage team to get the Return Man Down On The Ground Virginia has it back the caver offense headed to the field now we'll get a chance to see if they can answer that last score trailing by 14 yeah and at this point of the game I feel like offensively you should go back to what's been working for you in this game don't be afraid to dial up plays that you've already had success with running it and throwing it it's okay to repeat plays down 14 at this point and I would also say Palmer kind of understanding that my defense is not playing great they're going to get him for a safet he tried to make something out of nothing and still got stuck for the two so after giving up the deuce on the safety now they'll be able to kick it away without a rush from the 20 out to 3 miamian looking for a productive play on first down he Wast no time and comes out throwing grabbed behind the line it's Allen didn't pick up a lot there moved it Forward just a few again this is a running back that can hurt you running it between the tackles and he's dangerous out in space they like to throw it to him out on the perimet as he picks up a couple yards there he's right on target he's brought down but he went backwards after that completion not the way they had it drawn up ball is at the 41 as this defense tries to force the punt on Third and long from the gun wants to pass it's complete he's one out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down this offense absolutely humming as they come to the line again Anders the 20 a first down sack can be a drive killer now it's second and 13 throws to the tight end got him downfield and he unleashed the RPMs on that pass man this sophomore has an [Applause] [Music] arm he's looking to throw and it's picked off at the goal line that's a way to make make a stand and he's brought down and this defense gets the ball back for its own they've got him PN deep in their own end In This Crowd trying to help keep them there trying to find his man on first down the short hands it's Harrison slips a tackle and he's got room and the tackle is made but not before that completion gets him 30 plus there's a timeout called as this offense tries to find a way to draw a Little Closer gets it out quickly out of the crowd and now he's got room and he was loose and in the open field and on his way a tremendous pick up on that one they'll throw it on first down unleashes to the end zone and he's got it touchdown Virginia and this offense continues to have some success and I'll tell you what when it gets down to it and you need a play they're starting to find this playmaker he he you can tell the QB looks for that's three TDS now in four games and I think they'll keep feeding the big fella you get that touchdown right before the half build the momentum and the last thing you need to do is mess it up by allowing a big kickoff return and good work by the coverage team to knock down the Return Man time dwindling away as they try to put points on the board right before the half the running back has and a really nice run and pick up there before the defense avoided disaster and stopped the really big play they'll use a timeout right before halftime maybe time for one or two more plays just enough time for one final play of the half and by reviewing how this wide out has been a Onan wrecking clue the kid's been everywhere and I love how he's willing to go across the middle but that he also has the Jets to burn these DBS on the Deep ball if this then he has the first down
