on your side and they do it they finish it with the passing game and tell you what keep that passing game up you can keep this lead keep the momentum and keep putting up numbers up to add another and the pat gives him a 14-7 lead quick work on that scoring drive just four plays and they finish it with an 11 yd touchdown Dart the kickoff team out there and ready to go oh look at Mr hands taking the squibber inside the 30 he'll be down and that's the final play of the half and the Hawkeyes will try to kick this one deep to get things underway in the second half the ball squirts through the end zone that'll be a touch back they'll bring it out to the 25 and here comes the Michigan offense back on the field they had this lead to start the third quarter because of the passing game didn't get a lot done on the ground they didn't but the quarterback is in a rhythm that was obvious in the first half and so this first drive you want to continue that you want to see good decision making you want to see him playing on time and as always delivering the football with that I I mean I don't know how I don't give him the football it's the reason I built the lead he's the guy that I can trust this offense is built around him so I expect more of the same here in the second half halfway there on first down it's second and five wide out in motion dropping back it's orgy and he can't escape and down he goes and that's the thing about this defense yeah they may be losing the game right now but they've got difference makers on that side of the football they got guys that can step up like that create Havoc get a sack create negative plays they're going to need more of that here in the second half if they're going to win this game a third and long coming up [Applause] [Applause] here looking to throw and he needs a bunch oh they really could have used that catch their physical pass defense it brings up a fourth down I know this offense came out here in the second half hoping to build on their one possession lead but after that incompletion I think the smart thing is to just kick it away here let your defense play and try to get it back to you without giving up any points and the Wolverine send out the punt unit he's going to try to flip the field with this [Applause] one running it back it's brown this guy is a daring pun Return Man he's not going to settle for the fair catch a solid return gets a B ground from the [Applause] offense Iowa has it back on offense hoping to ride the wave to the end zone DAV they' love to do what they did last time and put this one in the end zone you ain't lying they did a great job the offense was clicking everything went well Palmer they execute and got the touchdown and they really were in a nice rhym as well see that here on the next drive too just keep doing what you're doing everything seems to be working and you seem to have this defense on their heeld didn't get much done on that first play of the drive it's second and 11 with Jet Sweep pass runs for the tackle and he'll step out of bounds after a very productive play man the defense you hold your breath when this receiver has the football out in space you have got to make sure you're playing with outstanding Pursuit nice job there but as this game goes on they've got to keep an eye on this guy and make sure they know where he is at all times gets it out fast crosses the 30 got away and he strides his way into the end zone touchdown hawy that was a lightning fast dri that ends with a touchdown if you can string a few more drives like that together man we might as well get our popcorn out because we're going to get a lot of score and the extra point was good no incident there and we are tied up in the third quick strike offense on that three playay scoring drive and the Capper coming on that 48 yd touchdown Dart after that latest H tied things up just about set to kick it away again that ball skips through the end zone it's a touch back and they'll take can anyone catching he's at the 20 touchdown Michigan and with that one they jump on top here in the second half man how hard is it to defend when you have a weapon like this at running back that can play wide reer you can design ways to get the football in his hand Palmer once you get in his hands he'll do the rest yeah no doubt I mean and often times those are easier throws for quarterbacks and these running backs they're just naturally so good when they have the football out in space their Vision their creativity their ability to make people miss and this guy showed you right there a difficult difficult guy to stop now if you're this defense moving forward and the extra point is true and they're on top by seven about kick it off after punching it in for the touchdown bounces through the end zone it's a Touchback they'll bring it out to the [Applause] 25 Iowa ball back on offense that last Drive really productive David wound up with a touchdown they'll try to do it again yeah so I don't expect this offense that change too much Reese they had a great Drive they got the touchdown everything working I would expect them to keep pushing this ball downhill and just imagine if they could put another touchdown on the board right here they could capture so much momentum in this game with backto back TDS and he does a really nice job finding open space and making a good gain before the stop is made I know it's sexy to throw the football but if you get pounded away and get these kind of gains they will just add up where the defense down get first downs and ultimately get some [Applause] points the big pick up on first down leaves him with second and one the Hawkeyes get it past the sticks they picked up that first running the football that's good news for an offensive line that really has been getting pushed around and bullied in this game so far let's see what happens moving forward they'll break the seal on this quarter here on first down looking to move it through the air fires to the big fella they've got it inside the 30 they'll mark it at the 28 it's first down they pick up the first down on the drag route I know that seems like a simple route but it's actually a lot more complex than what it looks like because that route changes based on whether it's man or Zone if it's man coverage he's flying across the field if it's Zone he's got to sit down over the ball and a soft spot giving his quarterback a place to go with it nice job with those guys being on the same page there hind is tight end they'll finally put the brakes on him at on Third and long a check down would be the last resort and he's on his way he'll go all the way touchdown Iowa great job with the score and listen right here at this point in the game there's still going to be time left my defense is going to have to make a stand regardless I'm going to kick the extra point cuz the field goal still beats me if I go for a two-point conversion and the extra point ties the game in the fourth so a scoring drive there of 83 yards and they finish it up with a 15yd scoring toss coming down the stretch in the fourth and we are all tied up about set to kick it away fielded In The End Zone it's Morgan didn't find any crease in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the 17 [Music] Michigan ready to get that offense rolling again a quick strike touchdown up top the last time they had it Jesse they'd love to do it again no doubt they've got so many Playmakers on the perimeter David just find a way to get these guys the ball in space and you already started man making that big play opening up this offense this quarterback is feeling good about himself I wouldn't be surprised if they give it right back to him I love the decision making by the quarterback here you're trailing it's a two-minute situation you're not just throwing to receivers but you're trying to find matchups that your tight end could take advantage of with his athleticism keeping track as a defensive coordinator where they're running the football you can see they ran it to the right do they like this matchup is the right side of their offensive line really good I'm going to be paying attention to that cuz that's a big game I got to make sure I shut this down the next time they run it now they'll line it up from the 44 on First and 10 [Applause] they're going to ride this running back and he won't quite get there but boy after that pick up just a few inches to go for the first and array of possibilities here man when I can run the football like that on first down and create second and inches and and stay way ahead of the sticks and and be in a position now where I can throw the football or run I will have a lot of success on the offensive side of the where man tackled in this the defense uses a timeout and we are down to 11 seconds left to play balls at the 24 a lot of confidence in their kicker from here but they'd love to take it off of his foot and convert the first down motion from the offense quarterback touch pass on the Jet Sweep he ended up going backwards on the play and they will not convert that third down they'll get the timeout [Applause] first down sack pushes it back now it's second down off the play faint nowhere to go and the ball is loose picks up the ball and tries to make something of it and whatever they did on first and second down don't do that anymore third and very long coming up unloads to the wide out all kinds of room to throw that one in there and the defense is swarming to keep from getting to the first [Applause] down this the biggest play of the game so far going for it on fourth down in overtime he'll try to throw and pick up the first down might be looking to run Fire's on the Move incomplete and they turn it over here in the first possession of overtime [Applause] defense has its back against the wall as they try to extend this game and force another over time on the ground it's Edwards got some room headed to the goal line oh he dropped it once that ball was loose offense didn't have a chance Defenders everywhere it's a turnover now first down here in the second overtime scanning the field it's orgy gets it out quick [Applause] and the Wolverines are in the hurry up they'll run it out of the shotgun and they make the tackle but he has plenty for the first [Applause] down this thing has been back and forth now first and goal as they try to take the lead in overtime number two they move the tight end all over keeping it on the ground on first and goal he'll pick up three before he's down at the six now on second and goal the run up the middle trying to find his way to the goal line he pushes his way down to the four as they get closer and closer they've got a little work to do here on Third and goal in overtime [Applause] they believe in their running game on Third and goal here and they're able to get him [Applause] down not even thought to take the field goal they're going for it on Fourth and goal the offense will use a timeout with a critical down coming in overtime [Applause] [Music] they're going for the touchdown here on Fourth and goal in overtime he'll keep it on the sneak touchdown Wolverine got it in to take the lead here in the second and a fourth and goal situation bring in the beat the goal on package all the heavy guys the tight ends and just Pound The Rock when you need it running back falling for getting the touchdown offense just went big on [Applause] your now in the second overtime you must go for the two-point [Applause] conversion they're going to run it can't do it better than that the two-point conversion is good and the lead is [Applause] [Applause] eight now on first down they need to answer with a touchdown the give is to Williams they wrestle him to the ground but he's got plenty for a first down and that's and the Hawkeyes have taken it inside the 20 trying to find his man on first down fires into the end zone and he can't quite make the connection as he was trying to pay off this Red Zone opportunity [Applause] operating in the Red Zone here on second down they'll throw again after the incompletion going for six it's incomplete he was shooting for the end zone right there they are up against it a third and long needing a touchdown here in overtime trying to move the sticks on third down through the air it falls incomplete he was trying to find his man for [Applause] six does the drama get any thicker the offense comes to the line on fourth down here in overtime fires to the end zone touchdown hawy with that now a two-point conversion away from triple overtime I think the quarterback showed his head coach a lot on that last touchdown pass the Poise and the confidence and because of that David on this upcoming two-point play you might just put it back in his hands and let him go win it for it yeah man I need it again right like these rules I got to go for two is a obviously come up all year long all week long that's what you do you know the rules now you got to go execute what a thriller what a confidence Builder to be able to come up with a win like that in overtime this team has to love their ability to come up with big plays and big moments how about in overtime the individual efforts we saw this team playing as a unit doing enough and doing everything that was needed to get the double it's such an exciting game up and down back and forth it's it's heartbreaking you l you come through with these games late
