it's actually not bad for million bucks if you get one of the cards you get 50k yeah that's good yeah so yesterday so what do you get for just being on the show I'm wearing the road that's that's a 50 you're the first one to wear it you're the first one to go into the lounge as a millionaire already you sort of wrecked it well multimillion but yeah thank you thank you your cont but I love too that we've got a theme here because when we spoke to you a few months ago the year's gone so quickly we had you on zoom in your pajamas and now look at me in a dressing gown don't I look wonderful you look great it's actually very luxurious dressing gown you look good and befits a millionaire so when how long does the competition last whose money is it not ours and what if no one wins we get it oh I hope so yeah sounds fair enough no we don't there lady yesterday she uh one of her numbers that she was going to pick she she was between four and five so she went 45 the four had the 50 behind it so she just went with the four she would have won 50 I think you should have given her the money anyway no about 6 months ago we had a woman pick 19 she's like it's my daughter's birthday my birthday my friend's birthday my favorite number the night before has a dream oh I'll go 47 the million bucks was in 19 wow she's flat you like telling the stories of the people who have won no and we give themable David we also give them counseling they actually yes they get a counsel do you get counseling as well our boss tried to give us canceling and I said you're the one that needs it so we didn't have to you know what our boss does actually David you might appreciate this it w be not but when we're a bit flat or need some she thinks I think gives you a line of cocaine no well that get us up and about wouldn't it no she dresses up in costumes she's coming here dress well with great ideas she comes in dressed up in a costume to try to get us up and about wow that must work as a half of one of the greatest comedic Duos of all time how would you feel if your boss just turned up dressed as a bumblebee would that be funny to you well to my mind that's enforced fun yeah and force fun isn't Fun you know say come on let's have fun you think no I can't have any fun now yeah she's mad for that um I love that you're in Melbourne and I I didn't realize this that Melbourne it does mean a lot to you because it is the second place other than obviously back home that your career launched is that right when you came here with Little Britain yeah bit bit bit of a bush um whated just read that in the herald s well okay let let me explain um so when we did our Little Britain life show Melbourne is the first place that uh we played and Barry Humphrey's came to our very first show there we go and then the next day took us out for lunch at The Flower Drum Chinese restaurant so it because we hadn't played outside of the UK and Island so we didn't know we had a you know interational audience and then also it went so well and and you know cuz Australian audiences are really up for it and you know just somehow it felt like that even though the show's called Little Britain it felt like Australia was the spiritual home yeah did you have the crab at the flower drums good is it in the show I had it last Friday I but I'm not here to uh to promote a Chinese restaurant um well you brought it up as much as as much as I enjoy it a bloody good one he now Dave you're doing obviously some children's books and I just saw uh I just saw blue out over in America 35 billion streams you going to turn any of your kids books into TV shows or movies any thought well some have been uh television adaptations on the BBC um there have been stage adaptations there are some movies in the works and also cartoon series in the works but don't compare it to Bluey I don't sure it's going to be that big or Peppa Pig or something like that well who would thought blue was going to be big before they released it well no one really knows no one really knows do they don't I I want to ask you cuz as a fan of Little Britain from its Inception thank you and and I know you get asked about this a lot but I asked Nick's a comedian and I ask this really he does not as big as you yeah unfortunately a very I'm and I'm not but I am a I love big word isn't it big word yeah but I there a spectrum you're somewhere on that Spectrum yeah okay his book turned into cartoons got a stand up special on YouTube we've all done stuff I as somebody who loves and appreciates great comedy I get very frustrated by things by working with comedians who aren't very good oh that's Jesus Christ is frustrating I understand will it change like I feel this is this couldn't have turned that worse for me but will will this do you see on the landscape and looking into the future this is just a blip on the radar Little Britain will back streamed on all platforms like we can access it um yes i' yeah well yeah your friend's getting bashed and you continue with the question I try to stick up for most people I think just see comedy for what it is which is playfulness and they don't take it too seriously it's the whole idea about comedy isn't it and the thing is me like an equ this has turned around pretty quick I haven't seen your act but I probably never will but um not a fan of everything you say isn't necessarily your point of view is it and if you look at someone like Jimmy car yeah you're playing with ideas and I think sometimes you're saying stuff but people don't get to say in their workplace so people go and see you to hear that stuff releasing tension isn't it about things anyway so I think some people are taking comedy very literally and um they have no sense of humor and they're the ones who want to be in charge of comedy and it just can't happen otherwise you know it's just we're going to live in a in a comedy free world and no one wants that absolutely I've been uh watching a few of your interviews you've been doing the rounds um and Little Britain too coming back well we're going to we we we're making a show together but it's not Little Britain it's something else have something else in it it's going to have that in it though isn't it well I you going incorporate a bit of Little Britain in there along with other humor well you know there's some Little Britain characters in the show in my show that's what I meant I'm not smart enough to oh I'm not a smart I'm not the I say is properly read the notes you know SE some headin hey this was on Instagram I watched you on another show and we were talking about it I've watched all your interviews on other shows did all other you on Carrie and Tommy yesterday you had a little bit of a go at Tommy and then you had another go another thing I was just watching it going geez what am I up for do I even speak to this guy cuz he sounds really smart and I'm not smart enough to go back so I just thought I'd be really nice no but you just keep talking in the hope that something interesting comes out no but I was just trying to pump up your stuff well you're very kind you're very kind but yeah the uh in the in the live show I'm doing an audience with the uh Carol beer the computer says character she comes out of the start and then Lou from the Lou and Andy if you've seen it um just got glazed over there have you ever seen it any never watch you never watch it I'm not a big to be quite intelligent to to appreciate AFL Superstar I know that I was told I was told that wasn't the only thing I was told um here because I know one of the most frustrating things for you must be people coming out with all your catchphrases like no I've literally have to stop myself cuz all I want to do you know like those devilish fantasies I've been sitting it whole time just to say got English for a second what fantasies she got I just wanted to say computer says not oh jeez God it was uncanny wasn't it was exactly like the b b you have no idea what we're talking about I you know you Tak fire off Evan which is nice but finally put your hand up take a few bullets F when you get a guest in you want them to to smile and laugh and she made smile and laugh oh she's lovely she's a very attractive lady oh there you go she's a bit bit bitty we you do know what it is no I don't I just what do you know what it is you want B well depends what it is well it's it's basically the sketch was uh about a man who still um his mom still breastfeeds him oh we had a phone we had a oh oh my God this is I do know this because we had a caller come in and say uh we uh what was it conf or I think it was Cash fessional where you ring up and you tell us something that you seen or I think that was the segment and they were getting married and the uh the bride walked into at the the church walked into a room and the the groom was on his mom's titty getting getting breastfed before the wedding how old was he they were getting married they were old so 20s or something yeah like 20s and then people were comparing it to little and then and then and I saw you around the table and I've seen it wasn't a joke it was
