it's I'm sure you are it's way more efficient that's something from like my dad's generation which reminds me of the old joke what joke you know what to do if a bird shs on your wind screen no well don't take her out again that's for sure oh my so okay why are you into bird watch no I find them calming I was sitting on a maid's deck um last night take him out again take him out again he built it looking out at the birds right um Jo want a quick twitching quiz what's this bird it's a duck no sorry that was me we haven't played it yet is it a duck it is not a duck but you're on the right track is it a a gos some might say it's a bit silly ah it's a silly Billy duck silly goose it's a goose so anyway I I found this fascinating so we were sitting there and he was telling me he goes oh do you know bird watchers twitchers they don't have to take photos of what they've seen so there is bird watching competitions around Australia where you have to see all these different it's like a um catching Pokémon they've got a little checklist of the birds but you just it's trust based what you just say you saw the green and gray G there's no such thing as a green and gray G yes but you don't actually have to but that's ridiculous you just SC the red puffing yeah caught four of them you they're not catching them no caught them with my eyes caught a glimpse that's a saying I thought you wasn't too bad you did catch a glimp what do you mean you just say it they could just go down the pub and then fill out a form and say they saw all the birds isn't it rides that cause like a a few raar between the bird watching Community I reckon in every group of twitchers there'd be they'd be like Gary's talking again and there's no way he saw a spatch cocked hen I reckon that's a bit like when you go to the um the Lou and people say they saw the Mona Lisa most people didn't bother to line up I say they saw it yeah I did I did that did you stat of David cuz we heard there was a pool that had um cool diving boards and so we're like why are we going to see this statue and then my mate showed us all a picture of it on his phone went got it got it done and then he just came home and said oh statue of David strapping diving boys she invited him out on the deck oh my gosh bring his out here yeah absolutely is that being coded for protection don't calt Cobalt carry I don't even know ninth on the leaderboard one of the Champs from the Olympics uh two Golds and one silver is Alexa ly she is such a a beautiful human um overcame um a horrendous brain injury as a result of a severe cycling accident to come back and win those goals this is Alexa talking about just how damn proud she is of what she's achieved it's been a long rough Journey for me but it's a miracle that I'm living and I'm walking and I'm talking when they were told that I never would 3 years ago and I've just come so far I am so impressed with myself I'm like Lex look how far you've actually come my family the reason why I'm here and they're up there looking at me but honestly amazing she's an absolute Beautiful Soul uh that family she's talking about her dad Ras as well as Alexa liri are going to be joining us on the other side of these songs Carri and Tommy Carri and Tommy ran Australia for your drive home this afternoon it's Carrie bmore and Tommy Little it was one of the most incredible moments of the par Olympics when Alexa ly won goal inside the world record Line This is the race that inspires a nation a comeback story all of Australia has rallied behind Alexa's Miracle comeback is just about complete hits the ball give her another world record what a lifechanging moment for Alexa ly we're catching up with Alexa now and her mom and dad Russ and blinda who are at the airport about to leave from Paris and head to Greece well welcome guys hi hi we've got all three of you yeah it's a family Co a how how does this work just logistically are you crowded around a phone that's on speaker yeah coffee it's really you imagine when um you win gold and particularly when you break a world record that it's going to be um you know parties and and champagne and fireworks we didn't picture the the moment you'd all be huddled around a phone to do an interview on the other side of the world how are you guys feeling now it's been a few days you're on your way to Greece for a much needed break I'm sure is the the is the excitement still uh Riding High oh it's so very high I still haven't been sleeping I'm just so amazed in myself and the fact that my family and my boyfriend came to watch me and John Bell my coach we did this together Alexa I think the whole of Australia um if they didn't know you before has absolutely fallen in love with you you speak about your family and your mom and dad are there with you and um and how much they've they mean to you and they've done for you I'm sure obviously um mom and dad that is um reciprocated and more so you must be so proud so very proud I just I don't know I I the reason why I went is because of them I was reading um a little bit about um The Journey that you've been on which is just absolutely um horrific every every body does know but for those that don't Alexa can you tell us a little bit about um what happened to you in 2021 and how hard it has been to get to where you are today at some point I believe you were told you may never walk or talk again your mom and dad told to um possibly say goodbye the turnaround is extraordinary for you Alexa it's like a whole different life that you're living now yeah I'm actually living my second life and it's been a big Journey for me and I actually cuz my I actually upset my brain so badly so I have a traumatic brain injury that I don't have a memory and so it's really hard for me to actually remember you know the accident and everything I've been through so it's really hard for me to even explain really it's um it's been an amazing journey for it to as we said on the day of the accident when we were told she'd never walk with talking if she gets alive to the Brisbane Hospital wow it it was yeah so she's an incredible incredible person and the you know the spirit that had her to win that gold medal was a spirit that got her through life and and to make make her survive yeah she's just absolute in credit to herself Russ I cannot imagine there were many moments when you were beside her hospital bed that you could have ever have dreamed of being beside uh a pool as as your daughter won Gold no it's um it's uncomprehended uncomprehended and Belinda what what do you oh oh yeah no it is like Russ said you know like to think you know the three last three years have been like a bit of a roller coaster up and downs and to to actually get to this point um it's I'm speechless it's was a bit of an emotional roller coaster sitting for side watching you know not just one gold medal but two and and our kids were all there and our youngest son cried for about 3 hours he couldn't stop so emotional I think the whole nation was sobbing you guys have such um a positive spirit about you Alexa particularly was that carried all the way through her recovery is that what got her through that she's just got pure joy running through her I just honestly don't stop you know like when you want something you you're going to get it and you're going to keep going it's like when they say that I wasn't going to live or I'm never going to walk or talk again in my brain and in within me I go I'm going to do it I'm going to prove this world wrong and I'm going to do it I'm just to push I push very hard Alexa when you um when you break a world record I've often wondered is it a shock to you or is there something different about that swim where you're like I think I've gone faster than anyone else um look I was just in the moment I didn't even realize I broke the record until like a little bit and I was like what did I they're like yeah you did and I was like oh Bo and then to be honest Alex I feel like you know I got more in the tank but like it was a good swim from me and I was really happy and impressed especially from my coach John Bell he is someone that honestly every day by my side in the pool pushing me hard and it just gives me so much you know drive and everything to go what I want and the record was a big thing on my mind to be honest with you when I when I raced the 100 meter freestyle and it was quite amazing that to to break a world record in a heat and then to break it in a final is very unheard of yeah how amazing I have um never Alexa believed in fortune tellers but reading how your goal as a kid was to be in the Olympics and then when you're in hospital your dad did you bring Russ in a fortune teller who said that Alexa was going to go on and be in the Paralympics is that true no what what it is we employed we we would have done anything then to get this kid through so we employed a Quantum healer and she in the background is spiritual and she's feeling and she's talking to Alexa look I I don't know what I believe in but there's a un and this lady told us in the first week she said I see par Olympics and three medals we have that in writing she emailed us and we were just going lady you you're there's something wrong with you you're just not normal so and there's a lot of other things that she said to us that have all come true in the end you know it just just I would touch the bottom of her feet I couldn't look at her head it was that badly damaged and she said you Alexa needs you to go and hold her hand so just simple things like that I just was quite incredible yeah Alexa obviously there's um lots of ways that uh people deal with life-changing incidents the the the the way that you have handled it is is absolutely incredible and I'm sure there are you know as many light and happy times as there are dark times do you view yourself as lucky because of how you recovered or unlucky because of the incident in the first place I am so very lucky like I'm lucky I'm even living and it's the fact that you know every day it's very hard for me because having a traumatic brain injury it really isn't e easy at all and living the second life every day is a bit of a struggle but that's because I have a behavior coach an OT support workers and I I I am doing my best I am trying my best to improve every single day and I really am I'm doing very very good for myself Alexa it would have been um pretty overwhelming I can imagine to be at the Paro Olympics also and meet the other athletes the inspirational stories behind many of them did you meet any that you really connected with or that you felt so inspired by honestly they all inspire me so very much like all the time i' would cry because I'd just be so proud of how far we've all come and look where we were told we never could do it and it just amazes me that they're out there and they're swimming and I just love it yeah it honestly just brings me so much joy happiness to know we we're such an amazing team a uh Alexa just before we let you go we saw you pulls side uh with a me message from Fisher who you absolutely love you lost your mind it seems to be you ask and you will receive so who do you want to message from next which star do you want to hear from Alexa who else do you love okay teria pittz she is my biggest Idol she is my biggest inspiring person every day I I always listen to her podcast and I love pits I just I adore her she is such an inspiring woman that I'm like whoa you're amazing well first Fisher next tour will'll make that happen Alexa you guys have the best breaking Greece I hope you have such a fun time together as a family and congrats again you're just yeah such a time for bm's I stumbled across a whole lot of uh facty facty stuff on the weekend that blew my little mind I I need to bring you some science bits okay uh I am going to tease through the one I'm going to bring you towards the end is about um morning sickness I love the hook in the break no because there's a lot of women listening that'll be like yes I had it I hated it what have you got for me I will tell you for those women you don't want to give it to them right now uh when you've got morning sickness obviously up the dove speaking of children Searchers have found that having daughters increases the lifespan of fathers by 74 weeks per daughter so they've said that apparently um daughters have an amazing positive effect on on fathers but there's no significant effect from having a son so having a daughter prolongs A Dad's life but having a son doesn't what does it do for a mother's life uh in contrast the lifespan of mothers decreases by 95 weeks per child whether it's a son or a daughter so women live longer without kids so this is what I found interesting I then listened to um a bit of a podcast from Professor of Behavioral Science Paul Dolan he was talking about relationships and husbands and wives and children and this is what he had to say you're a man you should probably get married if you're a woman don't bother see if you're a man you you basically calm down everyone knows what men are like when they're together in groups so you take less risks you earn more money at work uh you live a little longer she on the other hand has to put up with that and she dies sooner than if she never married you know the healthiest and happiest population subgroup are women that have never married and never had children yeah miserably married women clapping away see what you've done to me Trevor so for men they got to find a wife to live longer for women are singledom is the key to a long happy life you're saying that with a very smug um smile on your face but surely quality of life comes into play as well of course and loneliness and all of that kind of thing would I meant having a wife I know I was going to say loneliness would also lead to um early death and things like that so loneliness kills you it does absolutely someone I read a book and it said that being the stress of being lonely is the equivalent to being attacked by a stranger in the street oh my God so you're under that stress every day so you know imagine how tense that makes you that's the stress of being lonely what does the heart and the body well speaking of um being under stress um how's this for a bit of uh science news I'm going to be careful how I say this a bite from the Brazilian wandering spider can cause a you know what that is know how to do the noise yeah that on a man that lasts for up to 4 hours so 4 hours bitten by braz so much joy in your boys 4 hours after a bite from a Brazilian wandering spider where does it wander to where does it bite you does it matter I don't think it matters give specifics do you know apparently the the um Greek name you get spiders the Greek name for the wandering spider is um f nutria which is Greek for murderers so does it then kill you no you survive you just have a for 4 hours Sur they've studied why I'm sure they have but I'm just giving you a bit of the well I was going to say but do you reckon it opens your blood to toxin the Venom boosts nitric oxide a chemical that increases blood flow yes maybe to spread the toxin but then does it make you really sick I don't know stop she doesn't care about that she's got the answer she wants and if you put that to good use um you may find that your wife has morning sickness which brings me to my morning sickness story got to get B more is this scientists think they finally may have pinpointed the cause of severe Mourning sickness and they think they may be able to block the hormone that causes it all completely prevent the condition all together morning sickness is one of the worst things you can have especially for women that have that hyperemesis gravidarum or however you say it I had morning sickness it increased with every child I had the first one was 12 weeks the second one was 16 weeks and then with it was like half the pregnancy just felt so so sick and they've s they found that there's one single hormone called the gdf15 or something that's to blame and so now that they've work that out they're trying to work out cu obviously your hormones go up for good reason so they need to work out if they then block it whether it would have any bad impacts on the pregnancy but they're looking into that now how incredible is science isn't it wonderful bers anyway that's all I've got now y yep great carrying yeah that is where means you can't leave the house which they have now broadened her house range because from home what's it called House detention home arrest yes yeah house arrest good thank you bck um she didn't lay low she was allowed a a Social Security number so she could earn money legally in States and um she started selling her her artwork hosting dinner parties at her house and she's got over a million followers online and she started making bank all while under house arrest now they have broadened her house range out to be 3,000 mi from her house oh and now she's competing on Dancing With the Stars and you missed the little detail oh got she got an an BRAC bracelet yeah so she has to wear the ankle bracelet while dancing at all times that's a press photo order that's so funny yeah what a great get that's a smart idea for a contestant she isn't it that's what I thought as well she's still under the bottom of the barrel she this is yeah this is a new O pop culture and I love it so how how good right they've got that so she's still under house arrest while she she still in Dancing with the Stars she gotten through a few just got announced oh right she hasn't started dancing with it yet drove him to the wedding it was like an open little garden sort of wedding yes went in sat down did the whole wedding thing about probably half an hour later couple of divy Vans no cops walk in they stood back for a little while and wait till the ceremony was over oh well that's nice I know walked up to him grabbed him and he fist pumped the air and he went I don't might say that word I made it to my daughter's wedding mother everyone applauded and the police just pissed themselves off did he then get thrown back in or did he just get a he did yeah yeah yeah then he got into like a lot Fair great idea and then in the evening I did a show for the sort of grown-ups have you guys got children I got three how old are your children five nine and 17 okay well five and nine let's say they would like to if they would like to come to the show in the afternoon and then the older one would probably like if he's if he knows who I am you do q&as who's more brutal the children or the adults with their questions at the end i' say um well I did once have a question by from a child said when are you going to die which I thought was are one to to after after they'd watched you or yeah and uh but the adult sorry it's a good question though when when do you think you are going to die um well I think I don't know I mean hopefully not soon I mean I've got a son who's 11 years old so if you don't mind I'd like to see him reach out you're looking tip toop health I health yes well I yes well I look after my skin same kind of routine that you have Jesse that's it isn't it Jess the second time J uh yeah but the the grown-ups I had a funny thing on Saturday night where this this girl came up to ask a question and I'm shy I'm shy I'm shy I'm shy then I did a bit of comly went too shy too shy too shy if you remember that bit when I was these me and M with these Japanese school girls um and um and then she said um my could you go up and give my mom a hug because she hasn't been touched by a man in many years but it was just a hug but it was quite hard getting out of her clutches of course she held on tight you terrain to navate hasn't there's something brutal about the turn of phrase hasn't been touched by a man you can't say it about Jesse no he has too many times so often so often uh yeah so but also there's Little Britain characters in the show um I come out at the start of the first half and I play Carol beer the computer says no woman who introduces people to the show and in the beginning of the second half so I've got time to get changed I'm Lou out of L and Andy and I call uh Andy and Matt's done a video so we do a sort of like a a video call which is a lot of fun and then the rest of the show is is it's really just meant to be a piece of entertainment people leave on on a high because they've had a great time um but it's basically all my funny stories and a bit about my family some lots of stuff about Little Britain and come fly with me and Brit's Got Talent and uh yeah I've really enjoyed it because I haven't done a show like this before that's so fun there there are so many iconic characters from that show but I do imagine for you it is the type of characters people would yell out from the crowd a lot requests I imagine yeah well there's a chance where you will be to ask the audience if they can match the the catch race of the person and you know I think there's people who are coming who already know who I am so they're very good at that um but it's it's you know we go through you know computer says no I'm a lady in the game of the vision then eventually we have to end up with the strangest catch raise of all time um but I make someone do that on their own just to uh to get the show going and embarrass them a little bit we've got so Britain David Williams do you holiday when you're here like you're out in the harbor were you like swimming you swimming in the harbor or anything fun like that no I haven't yet because we were putting the show together in Sydney so there wasn't really a moment where I wasn't doing that or or or doing some TV shows and things but now or today I've been sightseing in Melbourne which has been not quite the same as swimming in the harbor swimming in the B but you but I guess some time I I've got a day off in canra I'm really looking aw what's in CRA well I went to cber recently and I went and saw I stayed uh two nights two nights yep you can there's a zoo where you can like sleep with Lions next to you and stuff did you do that uh I fed yes we did but I was in the one where the giraffes come up and you feed them in your little Tre top canopy okay we have we have we have we have zoos in the UK house which actually blew my mind it was much better than I thought it was going to be what did you think it was going to be um well I've covered news for 20 years and I was like I should go see this and I thought I'd just appreciate it for all the things I thought I just found it I think it being the epicenter of decision making and all this stuffo Parliament there is an old story about about cam brand swimming because it is situated around a lake lake Bly Griffin and apparently many many years ago there was a cemetery which um its walls and the walls of the lake collapsed and so um for one day swimmers were uh swimming amongst dead bodies you're listening to Carrie and Tommy Tommy has really lightened the mood now with stories about dead bodies speaking of your swimming though cuz Tommy did the um the channel what channel did you do the one from the English Channel but you oh you did that I did but I did it as in a relay which mean youve swam for about 10 minutes yeah so that isn't really done it I'd say you've just been swimming to be fair he couldn't swim before started I learned to swim to do it but um who who else was on your relay and how many people were on the relay we only had a team of 48 so I I think we still it quite well and there was four of us or four of you and how long were you in the water for I was in the water for two 2 and 1 half hours wow which compared to yours you hold records and stuff like 10 and half hours yes in the top 50 of all har me if I'm not mistaken correct but also I was number 666 of people who've done it were you well someone had to be yeah that's what about but that's not the other channel what was the channel you got pulled out of by the French authorities no we tried to swim from England to um Belgium Belgium thank you Jesse did why did you do these things cuz we we thought no one had ever done that swim before right okay and then we found out uh a day after we got disqualified and taken out that it has actually been done twice before okay do do you think to Google it perhaps have a little I trusted I trusted our team captain so you need to be the first even though you can barely swim you need to be the first but also in answer why is he doing it he's just running away from his problems is that why you do your channels is it sexuality no for me in fact someone said he's swimming away from his swimming away from his presume humed homosexuality it was a good turn of phrase well when you swim cuz I am genuinely Fascinate about swimming I think amazing fascinated by everything I do and SW back into that hity very quickly very red I I'm that when you swam the length the temps um how many times did you have to stop because of illness um well I picked up a sort of bacteria in the temps and then basically my ass exploded that can happen preping you olypic no not in a good way in no and uh and so I got ill but then I just had to carry on so that's like EOL or something yeah it just made me feel really sick there one thing you don't want to do when you're when you're uh swimming is feel sick were you were you forgive my were you blowing out both ends while swimming no just no I mean I sort of managed to get to the bathroom but I just felt very very sick but I carried on cuz I guess I'm some sort of hero why swiming where does your desire well swimming because I'm not good at any other sport because um I'm sort of built like a warus and I was always terrible at everything and I I I failed my Cub Scouts Sports badge I fail you can't fail a Cub Scouts but I was failed for being so poor at it when I was was it your attitude or your ability no um I don't have an attitude problem thank you very much unlike some people um no it wasn't my attitude it was just that I failed at every single task and I think the guy just well I have to fail him otherwise you know what this is about the but swimming I was never the fastest but I just liked it you see right and then I thought oh actually and I don't mind the cold too much yeah you must have found it quite hard because you're a Slimmer man than me I found it cold yeah it was yes I found it very you have a shrinkage issue no I mean there's not much to lose no do you know what I mean when you're basine M isn't it's not a demonstrable series out on binge called chimp crazy this series blown up in the US you may not have heard much about it I don't know many people that have watched it down here but the reason I bring it up is because the last episode in the series is out today and in this last episode it's all about how T was attacked by a chimp you see vision of another woman having her face ripped off it's hectic heckers but when we spoke to T hadex um we ended up in a bit of a back and forth with her because she just a bit backstory she keeps um Tonka this chimp this chimp that used to be like a show chimp it used to be in the movies and stuff and she treats it like it's her child really she raises it she believes it's uh happy being with her and doesn't want to be in a normal chimp um you know island or in close Sanctuary where they would normally be kept extreme she went to extreme lengths to make sure that she didn't have the chimp taken away from her uh she dug up a dead chimp of her friends in order to it yes uh to convince a federal court that her own chimp Tonka who wasn't dead she' told them uh Tonka was dead so you can't take Tonka off me because um all of the animal rights people were trying to get Tonka taken off her you can't take Tonka off of me because Ton's tonka's dead so she had used another friend's dead chimp to get the Ashes to hand over to say here's chimp ashes like went to incredible lengths she got quite emotional uh talking to us about Tonka the chimp um you you found it quite um what would be the right expression you felt very sorry for her in that interview didn't you yeah 100% I I think I don't agree with having exotic animals in cages but I think regardless of what you think of that issue her motives were driven by a insane amount of love for an animal now that's not me saying that that's okay if you love an animal to Chuck it in a cage I don't agree with that either but all that we were chatting to was a woman who was heartbroken and that the world disagreed with her and in something that when she was doing in her part of the world and again whether you like it or not in her part of the world it's legal well the interesting part about the conversation with her is she felt like she'd been stitched up she never would have agreed to take part in the doco the doco was made by the guy behind Tiger King and she wouldn't have made um made the doco if she knew that and they tricked her and and said it was um being made by somebody else which is why she agreed um and she she pretty much alluded to the fact in this final episode which is out today what you see at the end the idea that she's being attacked by a chimp she told us in this interview that it just didn't happen the way the docko has made it out to be how do you reconcile the fact that I'm sure you weren't expecting the attack to happen or the lady wasn't expecting to have her face ripped off but she still did but yet this is an animal that is allowed to be around little children and and you know like it's from the outside it's hard to understand how you can't also see the danger and how problematic that might be for people well first of all that documentary is not politically correct about any of that and to go into details about that would be longstanding and would be a long conversation with you guys but that actually did not take place what do you mean which bit the part about that uh chimp attacked me that did not take place at all what what so what were we watching that was um it's it's just a very very long story but I self assure you same thing that I had a debate with the documentary crew about is uh it's just a longstanding but I can self assure you I've never been injured by a chimpanzee ever what is interesting which I think is worth noting is it's been 2 years since Tonka arrived at the sanctuary where Tonka was taken to and obviously doco they then had to go edit it so it's been a while since that was filmed and obviously the people that run the sanctuary Save The Chimps are going to put a positive spin on it but they have come out saying how amazingly well tonker is doing because one of the things that she kept saying was that he doesn't want to be there he wants to be here he's incredibly happy and they've just said that even though he had the choice to be drawn to humans at at the sanctuary he's been drawn to chimps he's become really great friends with two other chimps Jake and Caleb and Caleb has now since been discovered to be tonka's biological son W yeah so he connected straight away with his own son anyway I host of this show both Ryan joins us now welcome Hey great to see you guys everyone had the best time they loved it who did you speak to the most we've been speaking to different people oh have we whose idea who was it whose idea was it to take the palest sweatiest man in the world Luke McGregor and make him travel around the world who who that was what form of torture why oh we it's very desert heavy this season did you feel bad no I just I really it was I really wanted to test him I really wanted to test Luke and then he picked his mom which I mean look I love my mom um but I would not do the Amazing Race with my mom um did they fight or were they lovely uh they no they you'll have to see I mean tonight test them big time cities are hard cities because you can get lost you make one wrong move in a city and you find it very very hard to get back but I just really wanted Luke and his mom to get to the desert yeah yeah just just to give people the backstory Luke and I started comedy together in Melbourne not the hottest part of Australia and Luke used to have a backpack that he carried around solely for sunscreen yeah he used to have a umbrella just to pop AC shade umbrella yeah you're sending him to the desert yeah he has to wear one of those you know those ra it's like a wet suit rash situation he has to wear that a lot fly fisherman wear like fly fisherman wear but uh he wears it in the street um so that's funny but he's uh I hadn't hadn't had much to do with Luke um but him and his mom a wonderful but it's a it's a hectic who surprised you the most out of all the celebrities so tell us who some of the on a ah okay surprised me but the helas did surprise me I thought and you know comedians he was very funny jovial at the start joking McKing around but him and his wife Bridget were tremendous they dug deep Bridget uh she's had a few issues and she's had a few things she's had to overcome but she was incredible she was incredible because she's been on the sideline his whole career and he said to me he said in their actual life Bridge runs things when they go on holiday she's planing the whole thing she executes he said it was like she was born for the role being on The Amazing Race and she was it's look it's it's emotional she's never been away from her boys um and we're away a long time you guys know what it's like when you go on the road uh it was tough but she the sort of the longer it goes the better she gets she was wonderful is there any um any major sources of friction between the uh the Duos that go away who should we look out 100% 100% um maths is great right maths is great for drama Cyclone cell is a problem from the from the get-go and she knows why she's there um she's she she stood plenty of drum but she's competitive as well um and she is the boss of that relationship which you find out pretty quickly I mean all women are right respectfully um respectfully but she uh she was brutal she was brutal she doesn't take no for an answer and um she wants it she any couple broken up not this necessarily this season but over the seasons at the end of have I I can't there's no way in the world I do it with my wife cuz she's always right you know what I mean but she is she is she one of the rare where she is she is actually and she's really good at reading maps and tell me where to go I follow you on Instagram I don't know you super well um off Instagram in in real life we've spent a bit of time together Instagram Sor but now we're off Instagram and we get I'm not going to pretend to say we're best friends we we are um professional friends so I don't know a lot about your personal life but following you on Instagram you and your family um you've been through so much together but you look you're so beautiful about them online yeah it actually I feel like you get quite emotional when you talk about them particular your wife would that be accurate yeah yeah I've uh I've been with my wife 20 years I mean we' broken up a couple of times we've been since since we were young but it's been it's been it's been good she's been there the whole way before I played rugby league before I was an NRL player then stepping into media and she is uh she's the anchor she's the rock of our family and I love being a dad I love being with her and as hard as it's been there was especially a moment 10 years ago it was really hard my personal life um went through some really dark moments and she she stood by me and what through that bit do you think she did she did she got me through everything I mean there was times when I retired and I sort of I I blamed everyone else I sort of went off the rails a bit and I had unhealthy relationships and I was looking for unhealthy people but um I think the freedom after rugby league as well I could was literally doing whatever I wanted all the time and then face some adversity and she stuck with me the entire time and uh we couldn't be happier now we couldn't be happier good yeah we couldn't be happier how would you go so if you two were on the show together disgraceful bro okay disgraceful awful awful do you argue or are you just we argue a
