it's carry time oh my gosh yeah it's time for me to talk it's G's time to will like any game she wins at okay so as a parent one of the hardest things is feeding your children right it's is it oh it's so annoying because they're picky oh the whole gamut from when you first have to feed them to have like pretty much skins at Birth having to learn to breastfeeds hard work is a nightmare not masitis is a nightmare having to work out when you get to bottle feed breastfeed what suits you is a very very tricky mental hurdle that you got to jump shouldn't be but it is if you pump and dump am I right ladies when you got to pump and dump then when you start doing uh when did I last of my wine am I right ladies when then you got to start um pureing food oh then you got to start making sure when you give them solids they don't choke and then you start feeding them food and you make these amazing meals and then they just go pop and they put it over the edge of the of of the high chair and you're like then they get to the the era where they just want to eat white things just bread chips biscuits that's all they're interested in then you have multiple children well they all like different things don't they everyone says just make one meal for all of them that's what we did Growing Up then you have children that don't eat and then everyone tells you that's bad cuz then they're not getting their vitamins all die and is this why you continued to breastfeed ol till he was 14 exactly easier it is the point of all of it is feeding your kids is a nightmare dinner time is a pain in the giant backside and a lot of parents a lot of moms particularly who are doing that dinner time routine say that's the time of their night they'd like to swap someone else out and they can do that bit for them Chef so I heard a hack the other day now I cannot remember where I saw it I either saw it on Instagram Tik Tok online somewhere yes there's this movement to feed kids dinner at 3:30 in the afternoon really so your kid is never hungrier than after school like never hungrier like they eat every single thing they can find entire loaves of bread just eat eat eat eat eat and it's never anything that good for them cuz often you're not home so it's whatever they find in the pantry or it's going of cost Fortune so you give them a loaf of bread and go guys go to town on that loaf of bread and that's all there is until dinner time stuff too okay but then you get to dinner time and they're so full from all the snacking that they then don't eat dinner and dinner is where all the goodness is right and so because they're not that hungry they then get picky and they don't eat it they don't eat dinner and then at 8:30 they're like hey I'm hungry and they're eating crap again right and so this whole movement is if you feed them dinner at 3:30 when they get home they're ravenous they'll probably be more willing to eat things they wouldn't normally eat because they're hungry and then you reverse it and when they're hungry again at 6:37 that's when you give them the snack they would have had after school but you know they've had all of the goodness and the good stuff and this idea that breakfast lunch and dinner is you know at 7:00 a.m. midday and then you know 600 or 7 at night n dinner's 3:30 yes Carrie firstly firstly not my idea but I'm on board firstly I love it I love the initiative but I assumed dinner was largely based around when the parents get home and can cook sure but then you just give them leftovers from what we just do do all of in the reverse so like whatever instead of having leftovers the next day you day have the food the day before and then leftovers is dinner the next day this is starting to get tough so when are you cooking for a Wednesday for example oh Saturday no the week before well often you've got leftovers don't you not when when I grew up we had family but like if you're going to have I grew up in one just do it all prove it do it all that I guess that's meal prepping then and who's time for meal prepping yeah that's annoying that's a real little thought about that you could cuz my mom Carrie she she just fed us the same thing every night so there was no different dinner oh we didn't have a choice it was just snacks so meal prepping and that's simple well that's what I had for a lunch cuz then I had cold snag sandwiches I think that's just so depressing on so many levels anyway I thought it was pretty good I haven't worked through all the little issues like when you're making that dinner that's a really good point still I think it's worth a try come on what about this you start work at like 4 in the morning you knock off at midday I still think I still think it's a great idea I still think if there's a way you can have the meal already prepped and they're eating it then what about you feed them even what about you give them dinner straight after breakfast and then you're done breakfast and then you know they've had their veggies and their steak we P for dinner or their mins or whatever you at 3:30 that's good backwards 1060 I want to hear your parenting hack that'll change everything clearly mine's got a few little issues got to eye now but one that you've tried and tested and works well for you call us 13160 car and Tomy you choose Aro it's Carrie bmore and Tommy Little we're talking parenting tips yeah I saw this thing on Tik Tok I think we've worked out it was it's annoying because you see it and then it goes and you can never find it again I think her name was Paige boak on Tik Tok and she feeds her kids uh their dinner straight after school when they're ravenous and want food rather than hours later when they've had all their snacks and they're full and they don't e the good stuff just question question about Paige did she get married to Gareth Turner Paige Turner thank you so you know what's funny about Paige Turner my mom taught a Paige Turner at school when she a teacher yes that's good that's so weird I told you I went to school with Jackie Chan yeah that's brilliant Jackie Chan got called at the principal's office almost every day the principal just liked saying it absolutely we're asking for your parenting hack Paul uh has DM us and he has said cuz we we hereit a snag when well we here to snag and we were trying to work out when you're cooking the meal though if you're having it straight after school cuz often parents aren't home yet uh and Paul said you still got to cook adult meals so you do that the night before and then they have K the kids have the extras for dinner the next day after school but isn't the so then you just have to cook twice cuz isn't the idea to stop cooking at nighttime no it's not really about that it's about your kids eating the food you serve oh is it because they don't like they're not hungry and they've eaten all the rubbish and then they don't need it yeah okay John have you got thoughts I was absolutely going to reate exactly what Paul said was um yeah the first night say you're going to start it off tomorrow um grab the leftovers that you already suggested Carrie and put those out for them at 3:30 then the parents just cook at night like they usually would and the portions for the kids then just get pleed up ready for 3:30 in the next day have you got kids yourself John I do and do you think this is a good hack I think it's absolutely superb I actually turned to my 9 and 12y olds and said uh would you guys do this yourselves so we're going to try that out tomorrow good on your job changing the world good on John John what about um Emma Emma how can we help what have you got for us well I was laughing in the car because I was literally 5 minutes late for school pickup because I was waiting for the children's um Pastor to cook oh in the car on the way to gymnastics oh see Emma I have this issue too because when you got to take your kids to their activities when do you fit in the food bit so you just have it on the road that's right you've got to carb up before the activities Emma how do they go um cartwheeling with a ragu in their stomach well youve got to keep it uh non-s sloppy food preferably but um yeah haven't you made pasta pasta well it's vegetarian pasta for my pescatarian daughter oh oh God Emma oh times have changed haven't they is she the only one in the family that eats like that um well she's one of four yes the pain in the yeah pain in the pescatarian good on you good day Doo yeah mate what have you got for us um I no screams at night goes without saying but in order to make the kids feel tired I don't use normal lights um when it gets dark I have lamps all over the house and use lamps get mood lighting going even for cutting up uh for dinner I've got an old Desh lamp above the choing board it works you're doing the opposite to what casinos do you know when they why do they Shine the lights to keep you away they try and make you not know that it's gotten dark and stuff so so that well that's what I used to do around Daylight Saving Times and stuff especially when you got young kids I'd close all the curtains at like 5 and just say it was still we were all on normal but you'd see the that slither of really bright breaking through yeah yeah until they're smart enough to no good on your demo thank you hello hello well that's a morning so you've got Brey you've got Brey happening it's all goes in the slow cooker seed off closed off by the time you get home at 3:34 o00 in the afternoon it's all ready to go they are hungry you're hungry everyone's happy can I ask a question about slow cooker Kylie cuz I went through a real slow cooker phase yeah and I don't know if it was me does every slow cooker Meal start to taste the same yeah depends on what you put in it I don't reckon it does a whole chicken we've we've done a whole chicken roast in the slow cooker we've done lamb we've yeah it's fantastic but the the chicken does it come out just kind of a bit like swap does don't you find it's all kind of like um Ste no you can steam whole chicken the whole bird in there hope hopefully prep beforehand you know all right Chien out in the backyard as well so that kind of helps as well you do yes what do you mean you're not putting you're not going from are you going from your backyard to the slow cooker no no but we do have six um six pet hens in the backyard as well so they're always good for eggs in the morning that sounds like the dream uh get a Lauren you have go Lauren there hey hi hi I'm here yes my biggest struggle is getting fresh fruit and vegetables into my kids I find I've got a 2-year-old who loves to throw and I have attached something that my friends actually told me about called a catchy to my high chair and whatever is thrown it is caught doesn't get dirty I scoop it up put it in a little container and that goes in my bag with me when I do pick up from school when they are ravenous and there are my after school snacks you've got a bag of thrown fruit in your bag no well it gets caught in this catchy it's this amazing little like white tray that attaches to your do you work for just about single and even the singles are shorter they're making shorter for Tik Tok and things like that so when I heard you had 60 songs I was like MIT you're doing a lot of work bro you can't box this brother in that's it you don't like albums here 60 songs I say cu the new one that's coming out is a cover of Tina Turner and we'll play a bit of that in a minute but what made you pick that song the best yes well it's such an iconic song and uh when she passed I was like you know what maybe it's a cool way to just pay some homage and some respect to an absolute Legend So we did it but it's like I put myself in these positions where I walk to the Cliff's Edge and it's like please I hope I grow some wings cuz we could plummet here that where The Bravery sits like is that you're not you're wanted to leave on high and I had my perfect opportunity because um he pointed to a poster on the wall and he goes you know what I started I stopped watching this I stopped watching this because it just got a bit unbelievable and I turned and the the poster was of The Walking Dead and so I said oh no the zombie apocalypse got a bit too far-fetched and unbelievable and he let out a big laugh and he goes yeah I see what he's saying I probably shouldn't have started in the first place and then I thought nail it I dropped the mic and I walked off what I hadn't facted into the camp was that nobody on the Arrow Bridge had started moving and so I turned and walked off looking back at him laughing and I walked straight into the lady in front of me who walked into the man in front of her and caused a little three person pile up on the Arrow bridge and they all went oh which he started laughing and he went you got him again n he said you got to watch where you're going bud my God I know I now carry I guess so there was one moment uh so you guys got a Time penalty because you didn't complete the dancing thing and then um so the team that came second last was the maths uh couple um SEL everyone but like people were just rocking up to the Finish Line with Mom and I just sitting there they must thought we were like really arrogant going yeah we'll cross we we'll cross when we're ready like like people who celebrate too early it was awful so when they cried we're like oh that's that's good on them you know it's uh happy happy for you guys was going out first best case scenario I reckon I guess it's either first to last right because if you come second last you still don't sorry second first oh God second place you you don't um you don't even get to like he doesn't raise any money for your charity so I guess coming last was second best I don't know get paid the same um I hope so I really hope so that's amazing because I watched a quot yours said which said we were really
