Angelina Jolie's Knife Skills | Late Night with Conan O’Brien

[Applause] I feel so small yeah it's like the subway here tonight [Applause] by uh congratulating you on winning a Golden Globe that's a very impressive thing thank you did you go crazy after you won I did I got really drunk I took my dad my dad was with me and the first half of the night he was like really proud of me and your dad of course I'll just point out in case anyone doesn't know is is Jon Voight yeah and and uh he was there for his own nomination right exactly that was really neat and um yeah so in the beginning of the night he was really proud and then and then after you know I started down in Tequila he was like oh do you think that's a good idea and then he left so he just cleared out he was that was the last time I want to be around this is going to get crazy uh I think the place I mean of course you've done a lot of work that the people would know you for but what I what I really I guess got to know you best was in that Rolling Stones video that's where I first saw it was that probably the that those videos they play them all the time and uh which one was it's it's it's the one where the name of the song you remember the name of the song yes which one um has anybody seen my baby right right exactly what's it like to be in a Rolling Stones video oh God did you I mean you obviously had to work with them and yeah it was uh it was it was amazing it was really nice to meet them and uh and they're actually really nice people they're exactly what you'd expect they're each individually exactly what you'd expect but they're really nice and uh meeting them was was nice stripping for them was really nerve-wracking um and I was scared what were they like I mean when you you know what how did they react when you go into the this room do I just for this thing can you take off all your clothes that is not my is that how you audition yes that's how I got it that is how I got this job that was no uh no I had art I was doing the job and I didn't actually know what it was gonna they said you'd do a little act and then you'll run around the streets and Michael Chase you on the streets and I thought okay um and then I got there and they kind of said so you know just kind of like you have an outfit put this on over the outfit and then just just get in front of them and kind of like do a dance and be you know sexy and take it off and I just you know nearly threw up you were nervous how were they about it all I hope so happy they're probably like this the Rolling Stones you think by this point have just seen it all they're probably so jaded about a naked woman as you kind of just go what am I going to show them yeah but they haven't really seen before yeah they're probably like Hey kid woman oh look a butterfly it's amazing yeah this is more unreal to them uh and and I I was uh watching the Clips from from Gia and they uh and you have all these well you have a tattoo in that movie but understand you have a lot more to many more tattoos that they cover up yeah they're they're actually in areas that that should not be shot you know what I mean they're kind of you know okay no more sad that's all right those things hurt when you get them don't they doesn't it isn't it tattoo extremely painful I've often been you know thought hey tattoos that's what people say are cool now not that I would ever get one because I'd look you know like Opie with a tattoo but I'm cool see Air Supply but it wouldn't work for me but they also they're very painful aren't they no they're they're I don't know it's this is going to sound strange but it's kind of like a meditation you know it's kind of this uh it's an okay pain because it I like it yeah yeah that's okay that's cool if you're all right with it I'm okay with it it's all right it's yeah like it focuses your mind and you just lay there it's okay okay well you did it like six times okay so you must not have hated it uh is there something uh G of course is a story of a very famous supermodel of the late 70s and and early 80s and um you share something in common with uh with Gia who's a real person which is you both that you both have a fascination with knives or you had she's passed away since then but she was fascinated with knives you're also fascinated with knives is that right yeah I've collected weapons since I was a little girl and um my mom went I went to the so when you were a little girl you asked Santa for a grenade [Applause] fair when I was a little girl and there's all these kind of you know it's kind of it reminds you of history and it just there's something um beautiful about them in traditional and just different countries of different weapons and blades and there's just something beautiful about them to me so and you practice with these I guess they're called butterfly knives right you like to practice with them or sort of play around with them we have one right here no I was curious I didn't even know like I don't even know how to use one of these things what do you do just show me what they what they do these are you collect butterfly knives right yeah you um okay let's go like that and who do you do the chair really okay see you sort of make it look cool I would just be like and then I just run away down the street they'd say go after that Air Supply guy uh Gia is on HBO it's this Saturday night at 9 00 PM yeah and uh I've heard amazing things about it so best of luck with that and congratulations on the Golden Globe that's a really exciting I have two things really strange I have to say hi to Alfred and I'm wearing a skirt so that makes no sense to anybody but there you go sorry I'm sorry why does that make no sense that you're wearing a skirt I think if you're saying hi to Alfred that's you know what I I have no idea I'm so nervous I'm about to fall over why are you so nervous what are you nervous about it's just this show come on and you're holding a knife nothing will possible and you've got three of the
