all the things that happen behind the scenes okay it is 6:00 a.m. y'all it's Friday we're here on the east coast in New York City it's Friday the 13th and this is Fox and Friends we have a Fox News Alert 33,000 Boeing workers go on strike overnight what this means for the already embattled company and for you the traveler that's right meanwhile in politics kamla Harris in Pennsylvania today as Donald Trump heads to Nevada after announcing this new major policy change we will end all taxes on overtime you know what that means think of that plus it's almost the weekend and that means football grank he doesn't have a first name anymore will be live with his predictions on NFL week two on Fox and also recap the big injury last night which was it on Fox uh will we be bringing back the vest oh yeah that's important Bron gave Brian a vest that doesn't have sleeves well I guess all vests don't have sleeves but he ripped it off in New York City we RI SLE like Hulk Hogan R R's been in the gym so I'm interested to see how this is going to look right I'll rip off these sleeves and put on his vest we're running out of Music La okay all right Fox and BR start right now morning is a better with friends yep yep and mornings are better with politics so let's talk about the state of the race vice president Harris is set to Rally voters in Battleground Pennsylvania today while former president Donald Trump heads out west with stops in California and Las Vegas uh mine Rivera joins us from Washington though good morning Maddie hi guys good morning this election is still anyone's game there are 78 toss of electoral votes up for grabs across six Battleground States that's per Fox News Power Rankings those states are Arizona Georgia North Carolina Nevada Wisconsin and Pennsylvania the Keystone state has the most votes up grabs so it's no surprise that vice president kamla Harris is going back there today we know ours will be a very tight race until the very end we are the underdog let's be clear about that we are the underdog and so we have hard work ahead of us but we like hard work hard work is good work her campaign says it is entering a more aggressive phase which could perhaps incl include more interviews with local news outlets as she faces criticism for not doing enough interviews the Trump campaign says the former president is set to hold a news conference at his first event in California today the first words out of that Fighter's mouth is I want to rematch I want to rematch and that's what she said I want to rematch polls clearly show that I won the debate against comrade Camala Harris she immediately called for a second debate which means that she was like a price fighter that lost a fight and later today Trump heads to Nevada where he is expected to talk about the economy guys bye to you indeed mine thank you very much we got it of course well one of the big stories uh I think whether you're a Republican or Democrat is the moderators much more aggressive much into factchecking not on kamla Harris no follow-ups fact not an opinion there was no follow-ups with her and there was a bunch with Trump but it wasn't just people in the moment thinking of themselves these two moderates thinking of themselves uh I wonder how accurate this is it wasn't it wasn't uh Instinct it was preparation they prepared they studied Donald Trump's let all his debates and his stump speeches and they were ready to fact check the former president just the former president not K Harris yeah Mark Penn wrote an article with um who's the other guy who wrote it with Andrew Stein and he said as we reviewed video and we compared notes we became concerned about the role ABC and of ABC and and what it did to our democracy they said the moderators were supposed to be neutral and they were supposed to be neutral referees but they decided in advance to fact check Trump and not comma and in fact part of this uh opad they've got in today's Wall Street Journal says when referees put their thumbs on the scale the game changes the results have to be thrown out we are robbed of our time and democracy is drained of its meaning a presidential debate shouldn't be a stag wrestling match it should be a feature between two candidates on Level Playing Field so voters can make up their minds free of interference and they go on to talk a little bit about how they really like the CNN debate because nobody did any fact checking if somebody wants to fact check it's up to the other person well part of the reason why all this push back is coming in right now is because when you look at the New York Times or you look at reers you look at some of the political even our Fox digital uh focus groups the voters and the independent voters were so focused on the issues but clearly doing the debate the moderators didn't give the opportunity to push back on kamla Harris to say where do you stand on the issues and there's a lot of people that left the debate still not knowing where KLA Harris stands on the issue and that's just malpractice I was watching Kevin oier last night and I can't I'm mad at myself too one of the biggest moves with with her economic plans are the only thing we have detail on to a degree is their economic plans if you're going to tax unrealized gains on stocks this going to it's going to pull almost all the money out of America and uh that should at least been questioned so some so if I if I start a company and it's worth multi let's say $200 million all of a sudden my tax bills comeing do at the end of the year but I'm not going to cash out I want to grow the company so I'm going to have to sell it to a bigger company in order to pay my tax what made it egregious is that they became such experts on tariff policy when it came to the fact checks there but when it came to her economic policy Ley they had no information on that and Lawrence there were dozens of Lies during this uh Charlottesville she lied about she said she lied about a national sales tax that Trump has never supported she said Trump wants a nationwide ban on abortion he didn't he said I just wanted to go back to States let the voters decide a ban on IVF he's been an advocate for IVF that was just one extreme person that mentioned not to have IVF so many babies are born because of IVF Trump's involvement project 2025 wasn't involved that was Heritage Foundation and that Trump uh wants to cut Medicaid which is not true Mark Penn and Andrew Stein who wrote this for the Wall Street Journal they start the entire oped by saying we watch the debate we thought kamla Harris beat Donald Trump she knew her lines and threw him on the defensive and he could not keep up but it was they said after reviewing the video and after reviewing things it just wasn't fair and that is why it was a threat to democracy think she won for whatever they watch the tape so anyway it turns out Steve baglia a longtime um LA Times writer on media sat down with her after the debate at the Ritz Carlton in Philadelphia and they had a conversation just a little bit about what was going on and she revealed essentially why they did the factchecking uh he she told him the decision to attempt to correct the candidate was in response to the June 27th debate between Trump and Biden on CNN whose poor performance led to his exit from the race people were concerned that statements were allowed to just hang out there and not be disputed by the candidate Biden at the time or the moderator she said and so ultimately they decided we can't let what happened on CN happen again ter that's such a terrible statement because what they're implying by saying all of this is because Donald Trump end up getting Joe Biden out of the race and so because things didn't go our way we're going to put our hands on the scales to help the candidate a lot remember there was moments in the debate where kamla Harris looked to the camera and said did you see what the moderator just said you see Donald Trump is L she used the moderators to her event well to that point at the conclusion of the um of the mark pen oped it says the moderators at CNN exemplified fairness had they corrected Trump while letting Joe off the hook as ABC did he Joe might still be the nominee they're absolutely right well the other thing is Mark pen told me on radio Monday it was the worst before he even looked it back he was it was the worst moderated debate he has ever seen and remember he did three clintons he did Hillary and bill twice and then he's been an expert doing the Harris polls I mean he's doing this for about 40 years so I've never seen him more I thought wow I didn't think they were good but I didn't think they that bad he goes no they're really bad well what do you think they're hearing at ABC do you think everyone's patting them on the back all the Democrats and saying great job nice to stick it to Donald Trump or do you think they're listening to the conservatives and the moderates and the Independents that are upset with the fact not being fair that's a great question I I I love what Trump said he goes he used to like him and he goes I don't really like him anymore and I don't think his hairs as good he did say that because I don't like his hair as much well I was and that was when CNN cut out of that they were carrying it live and then they cut out right there I I kind of get where he's coming from though there's a lot of people at least David is a respected journalist he does a newscast every day and been number one for a while he he at least appeared to be fair and I go what happened why did you go in there like it seemed like it was like a new how about how about this um I watch it back I didn't detect sarcasm really you're a sarcasm expert because most of the comments that you got them on with the bleach and with the uh dictator for a day these are sarcastic throwaway lines that they ends up being banners against in in attack ads and this goes to the basic premise should the moderators do any factchecking and what we saw the other night was no absolutely none because if you're not going to fact check everything you can't anything it's not fair and and Bernie Sanders even said she's being pragmatic just to win which means she's willing to do anything she's willing to lie to win we heard Donald Trump say no tax on Social Security checks we heard him say no tax on tipping which could help Las Vegas and now we're hearing him say no tax on overtime many of the people here here at Fox work over time many people in your industry work over time this was Donald Trump in Tucson Arizona I'm also announcing that as part of our additional tax cuts we will end all taxes on overtime you know what that means think of that think of that that gives people more of an incentive to work it gives the companies a lot the people people who work overtime are among the hardest working citizens in our country and for too long no one in Washington has been looking out for them those are the people they really work they're police officers nurses Factory workers construction workers truck drivers and machine operators it's time for the working man and woman to finally catch a break and that's what we're doing because this is a good one and I think it's going to be great for the country let me tell you something he is baiting the Democrats right now there has been they keep saying that he's for the billionaires class that he's for the tax cut for the rich and every single time they do that he responds with policy that affects everyday people and she's forced to try to mimic him in some way so the question is will kab Harris match him on this well remember the IVF too he said I'm going to make healthcare plans to the IVF she hasn't touch touched that yet she does do tax on tips stepen Moore heard this he's an advisor to the president and he'll probably be if the former president president is the 47th president he'll be in there too he said this about this premise he was kind of sprung on him last night with Sean anity every time I've talked to Donald Trump about tax policy it's been eight years now I've been working with them on this every time we talk to abouta he he asked three things Sean number one how will this policy affect workingclass Americans number two he'd ask will this help small businesses and number three he would say is this going to expand the economy is it going to make the economy better I think people are going to really like it if you work extra hours you're going to get a little bonus from Trump you know what and he's running for president and it sounds good there are a number of uh Republican deficit Hawks who don't like this because it would add at least his many tax proposals would add about $6 trillion doll uh under the deficit and Brian you mentioned the IVF that also uh his suggestion that he's been a leader on that the worry is if it becomes a mandate who's going to pay for it because he had said it's either going to be the government or it's going to be private insurance and so it's like that too would be another added something into the national de well I have a theory yep let's IVF more people more people more babies they grow up they pay taxes so if you give more babies to workingclass people they'll have more kids who eventually pay more taxes it's actually even more than that it's families who so badly want children and they would not be able to have a family if it weren't for IVF and it's expensive very very expensive I also and that's the question who pays for it and this is a whole another debate I don't like when we have deficit conversations that when it's people's money I mean attack the spending don't don't start including including people's money uh into the death um a lot of people say that it was Donald Trump's policy when he cut taxes that led to more in the deficit okay then get spending under control this is people's money don't try to the more money you put back in my pocket the more I'm going to spend correct so that's that's how Donald Trump thinks get the government out allow the market to to recover on its own if the stuff cost $6 trillion just find6 trillion someplace else to pay for it how about the EV mandates of giving everyone money to go buy an electric car right about how much are we spending to send illegals to college or put them in hotel rooms or you know give them a cell phone so use all that money ex to help pay for some of the americ we we could solve every problem but we got to go to break if we just if we could get rid of commercials we're going to go to Lauren before we go oh that's right oh so you you looked at the rundown a little closer than I did it out the tax Lati standing sitting there for about 5 minutes I'm sorry la news alert thousands of bowling employees are walking off the job overnight after 96% of the union workers voted to go on strike it's a big deal guys good morning this is the first strike at Boeing in 16 years and it could throw a major wrench in the company's already fragile supply chain uh overnight 33,000 Boeing Employees agreeing to go on this strike after Boeing and the union had been in contract negotiations this past week our members rejected the contract by 94.6% yeah and they voted a strike by 96% yeah that was pretty overwhelming and this comes after the workers rejected the company's new contract offer because it didn't include the 40% pay hike that they were asking for as I said first strike at Boeing since 2008 during the financial crisis that cost them $100 million a day and it could throw a wrench in their already fragile supply chain the strike will likely lead to a massive production delay at a time when they're trying to increase plane production this strike affects the workers that make the 737 Max overnight Boeing responding saying quote the message was clear that the tentative agreement we reached with IAM leadership was not acceptable to members we remain committed to resetting our relationship with our employees and the union and we are ready to get back to the table to reach a new agreement guys remember they have a new CEO Kelly ortberg what is he going to do now to write the ship the board is certainly watching as are the customers and the shareholders La how does this affect travel for for people across our country today uh it I don't think this affects travel because they're in the west coast factories that make the Jets so the airlines already have the planes that will be operating but look if Airlines can't get planes that they've ordered yeah absolutely in the future this could affect that so Lauren you got two companies you got air bus and Boeing I mean that's it so if if one goes on strike and they have all these contracts things are just not to get built this is an American Giant and not only are they a commercial airline they're a defense contractor and oh remember Starliner it came down from from the international station without the crew these are major airlines this is why this is a dow stop this is an iconic American company it's down just about 40% this year what do you do with it and all these problems how do they write the ship when it keeps getting worse well here's here's the thing ultimately the union leadership agreed to the deal last they said okay we'll take 25% this is as good as it's going to get and then the union leadership was over was rejected 96% of the rank and fil said we want 40 yeah we want 40% we want more than a signing bonus maybe an annual bonus they're mad that they don't have their pensions anymore uh there's worker discontent in the country because the cost of living has gone up and guess what the agreed to 25% pay hike over four years which would bring the average salary by the way to about1 $5,000 before overtime that just doesn't cut it anymore especially in places like Seattle where it's really expensive to live and speaking of overtime Donald Trump wants to make sure that you are not taxed on it let's see what happens there all right thank you Lauren good to see you guys good to see you they're going to crack down and when we punch out they're going to make sure now when we punch out at the end of the day I forgot yeah Carly did you punch in no I have never punched in or punched out so I am allotted about a million dollars over but it's not but it's not going to hurt the company Brian so they don't they'll still allow overtime you're right good point just America America's going to lose some Revenue I just don't understand how this is going to work with Brian kill me though he works 18 hours a day be good new it become good news more more money goodness you can buy another kill me mansion with all that o so many I can't even all I hope you share it with Dawn all right guys we got some more stories a couple wild ones coming out of blue States this morning first illegal immigrants in California could soon be given discounts on their cell phone bills under a new state proposal the plan would give migrants up to $19 off on monthly cell service up to $39 off phone service connection and even some fee exemptions those who apply would not need a social security number that's the key but would still need another form of identification uh the proposal is scheduled for an agency vote later this month and across the country in New York City the council here passing a a slavery reparations bill that will create a reparations task force the goal is to quote examine the impact of slavery and past injustices for African-Americans in New York City the nine-member task force will cost $1.5 million it's still unclear who will be footing that bill right now at least 11 other states are also considering implementing reparations have a feeling I understand who's going to be footing that bill guys that would be the NYC taxpayer that's right right so they're going to have a a group that looks into it right yes yeah they always do and then when they they say well we reviewed it we'll we'll continue we we'll continue our efforts of reviewing this we're going to figure this out yes all right Carly you much this people insane I mean they're passing our money left and right to illegal migrants in this country just passing it out on debit cards and now they want to review uh go way back reparation figure that out it makes absolutely zero sense uh Tom brelli said who's a republican Congressman he said as soon as I can find somebody who was enslaved uh I will pay them if not I I'll move before I'll pay this right all right Trump is heading to Las Vegas today and our next guest says there is one key voting block that could put him over to the fton County district attorney fny Willis Chanley painter has the details on that story Chanley what do you know hey Lawrence so the judge dismissing these two criminal counts against the former president conspiracy to commit filing false documents and fing false documents the judge ruling that they fall under Federal jurisdiction now Trump's attorney posting quote president Trump and his legal team in Georgia had prevailed once again a grand JY indicted Trump and 18 others more than a year ago on charges that they attempted to overturn the 20120 election result in Georgia six other charges were dismissed against Trump earlier this year the case was thrown into limbo when an improper Affair was revealed between prosecutor fonnie Willis and Nathan Wade the prosecutor she hired to help bring the case against Trump Wade was later removed separately a Georgia Senate committee is investigating allegations of misconduct against Willis related to conflicts of interest and misuse of tax dollars but Willis's attorney confirming she will not cooperate or appear at that Senate hearing today until there is has been a Judicial determination of the validity of the subpoena that State uh Senate subpoena demands Willis turnover among other things all emails and text messages between her and Wade And as far as that criminal case the Georgia court of appeals has paused the proceeding until October when it hears Trump's motion to disqualify Willis as prosecutor Ansley I'll send it over to you okay thank you Chanley former president Trump is out west he's continuing his Battleground Blitz today in Las Vegas to Rally the voters there as experts say that Nevada could be the key to winning the presidency in 20124 and Fox News Power Rankings show Georgia and North Carolina joining Nevada as tssa up state so let's bring in Republican strategists Chris perdome hey Chris good to see you good to see how you doing I'm doing great thank you so why why is Nevada so important why Could That Swing the election well well first and foremost obviously the Hispanic population out there is an increasing very important growing electorate you have 42% over 37% uh of Hispanics who uh prefer Trump when it comes to immigration policy and overall you have 46% to 36% um who prefer president Trump former president Trump and the of the situation is people are are frankly tired of of obviously the lies and obviously the deceit when it comes to a policy perspective you look at uh Camala Harris and and you say to yourself uh someone brought a very good point to me she has been in office right obviously a US senator and the fact that she has not had one not one moment of Engagement with President Trump not one moment for the people of State of California which I'm from California I think says a lot so if you don't have any type of Engagement with the former president United States that you were you were Senator during the time of how can you fight for the people of California or for the country uh you know albe it so I think Nevada is obviously going to be a very very very important State uh in NADA and itself Hispanic make up over 30% of the population and you have uh african-amer African-American excuse me about 9% so that's nearly half of the population and I think with their support now 46% over the 36% uh obviously supporting Trump I think it's a very very obviously important piece and that potentially can sway the election yeah so Chris if you look at the Fox News poll Nevada presidential preference goes to kamla Harris 50% 48 to Donald Trump now there is a 3point margin of error so they're essentially neck and neck in previous presidential elections uh Bill Clinton won uh with 47.9% versus Trump 45.5% Joe Biden 50.1% and Trump 47.7% so what does Donald Trump need to do what does he need to focus on to resonate with the voters there and do you think the voters who haven't made up their mind do they are they associating KLA Harris with the last three and a half years oh absolutely they associating her absolutely look I think when obviously my time has spent out there doing a campaign and 2020 uh look Nevada is a great state they have a lot of great people I think he has to continue to stay on his message and focus on obviously what he wants to do obviously immigration is a very important piece that people have already talked about when it comes to Nevada and I think overall the economy uh people are frankly tired of when it comes to daily issues in their pockets and I think he focuses on that he made a very good point when Harris came out and made a statement that said she commits to you know bringing down grocery prices uh if she becomes president and what she'll do blah blah blah this and that he made a very good point he said look you've been vice president for three and a half years you haven't done anything to change it so what makes you think you'll change it now so I think he has to stay on message um he's great on business people know that he's great obviously from a policy perspective I think things that affect minorities uh immensely right it affects the rest of the world but particular obviously uh with the numerous Financial wows I think he has to stay on target and and unfortunately she obviously she'll probably do what she can to try try to throw him off of that I think he has to stay on message I think he'll be fine um and look I think we all know that Trump is not a person of pose uh I mean yes we all respect him at the same time I think it show when he became president uh the POS didn't really matter so I think people Express themselves but not fully when someone's on the phone that you don't know that you can't identify with yeah even though Hillary won in Nevada in 2016 and Biden won there in 2020 they aren't running on the policies of no tax on tips which can help all the people who work at the in Vegas and also no tax now on overtime that affects a lot of the the blue collar folks that work in that town too so we'll see thank you so much great to see you good to see you again have a good weekend thank you don't move because grank is coming up but first the latest attempt to restrict Free Speech online but remember Friday we still watching the remnants of Francine moving across the Mississippi Tennessee Ohio River Valley the area of low pressure there uh the front associated with it is giving us the potential for some severe storms between the border of Georgia and Alabama and also some flooding across uh the panhandle of Florida flood alerts for some of these big cities Montgomery up towards Florence even Jacksonville uh because of that moisture streaming in both from the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic which we're going to get to but we do have that flash flood threat not only today but through Saturday then we have this area of low pressure off the coast of Georgia and the Carolinas it potentially could develop into something I don't think it's going to get a name but it is going to bring heavy rainfall along the coast and interior sections of the southeast so that's something we're going to have to monitor over the next few days the good news is uh temperatures are cooling slightly across the West we still have many fires that are burning so we'll continue to keep you up to date on that happy Friday Steve duy over to you thank you very much J you got it all right misinformation legislation is taking off around the globe Australia becoming the latest country to crack down on social media introducing a bill that could fine platforms like Facebook for failing to prevent misinformation could a law like that happen under President Harris if she's elected well back in 2019 she made her thoughts pretty clear we will hold social media platforms accountable if you act as a megaphone for misinformation or cyber warfare if you don't police your platforms we are going to hold you what's H say what's to do we what's all this s I say fore see what for for those for
