Top 15 Fantasy Football Kicker Picks for 2024!

Intro all right welcome back to touchdown talks I'm Spencer Taylor this is going to be the top 15 NFL fantasy kickers for 2024 I know 15's a weird number for a ranking video usually you'd see like a top 10 or we've been doing top 20s thus far but for kickers and soon with defenses for these fantasy rankings not going to be doing 20 because with these positions I don't feel like there's really that many relevant ones for Fantasy that we need to go over and talk about again for the most part you're likely going to be in a 10 team leag if not maybe you're in a league that's slightly bigger maybe maybe 12 maybe at minimum you're in a small League like an eight Team league or something like that but generally you're going to be in that 10 to 12 range maybe slightly higher in a really deep league but either way even with say 12 for example or even 14 there's 32 teams so for kickers and defenses where there's for the most part only going to be one per team that plays throughout the season and is really relevant enough to be talked about in fantasy especially before the season starts and for drafting kickers and defenses we really don't need to go over that many of them and especially being that with kickers and defenses they're not really that valuable to your team and honestly with both kickers and defenses unless you've got really like the top two or three you may honestly want to just stream the pos position and week to week just kind of look at matchups look at uh weekly projections look at the Players or defenses who are projected highly for that week because they've got a got good Pro rection add them to your team play them that week and then maybe be ready to just go ahead and drop them next week again that doesn't really apply to obviously quarterbacks wide receivers running backs that's why we did those the way we did but for kickers and defenses you want to generally be drafting these pretty much towards the very end of your draft now certainly if in your draft a bunch of other teams in your league start jumping up and grabbing kickers or defenses sure if you want to and you're you're up next sure if you're there's still someone in that top three or five of those positions and you want to take them go for it and get that position taken care of but it may even be worth it even in that case to still just hold on and wait till the last couple rounds of the draft and then take care of kicker and defense that way you can get more depth on your bench for other positions and as I get as I said again with kickers and defenses even if you do try to draft within that top three or five for the position it may not end up panning out and you may end up just streaming that position anyways in the end so it's really not that worthwhile to prioritize kickers and defenses in the draft but either way going to give you these lists just so you know what to look for so for number one at kicker I Aubrey have Brandon Aubry with the Dallas Cowboys he finished as the number one overall kicker in 2023 not only is he a very dependable kicker but the Cowboys have a great offense and they should be able to produce at a high enough level that Brandon Aubrey should be getting plenty of opportunities and for Fantasy kickers that's the key as with many fantasy positions opportunities and volume is really important for a value valuable player in fantasy so for kickers it's especially field goals extra points are great too but if a kicker is on a team where they are refusing to kick field goals and they're just going forward on fourth down and the only opportunity the kicker is getting to get fantasy points is on extra points that's not going to be very good for you so you want a kicker that is going to be with an offense that is going to be getting them into the red zone and getting them the most opportunities they can at field goals rather than extra points at number two on my list I have Tucker Justin Tucker although he didn't finish first in fantasy in 2023 he actually finished second and then this year he's projected to finish at around fourth for kickers even though he might not be the number one best for Fantasy kickers anymore in the NFL he's still one of the best active kickers in the league he might be a bit older but he's still one of the best kickers in the league that's active right now and being on the Ravens certainly has helped his career and they should yet again have a very dependable op offense to an extent they've got Lamar Jackson they've got J John Harbaugh as their coach also with Harbaugh they're not a team that you know is overly aggressive on Fourth downs and with Tucker's reliability from long range he often gets plenty of nods to go for it and kick a long field goal which is good for you on fantasy meaning he'll just get more Butker opportunities at number three on the list I have Harrison bucker bucker like Tucker has been a very dependable top kicker in fantasy for pretty much his whole career and at least for the last few years he's been very dependable he finished as the fifth overall kicker in 2023 for fantasy and currently ESPN actually has him projected to finish first among tight ends this year don't know that he'll actually do that but of course being on the Chiefs is a huge reason why he's been giving that much confidence for Fantasy he's very dependable he also has good accuracy in long range and being on the Chiefs who can be aggressive at times but with Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes there you know they they they play very smart football they know when to go for it but they also know when to take the points and so that works out very well for bucker you know they're they're an offense that even though certainly last year we saw them not be as high powered as we're used to they were still often able to get at least within field goal range for Bucker and he could capitalize on that for you for Elliott Fantasy now at number four on this kicker list I have Jake Elliott with the Eagles he finished third in 2023 and is actually finished or projected to go second for 2024 in in points the Eagles should still be a good offense and have give give him plenty of opportunities to kick if they aren't as efficient at fourth fourth down attempts they may end up deciding to kick a little bit more often which could help Elliott's production as you can see his projected totals he is projected slightly lower than what his totals were last year even though he's projected to finish second but that's of course because a lot of the projections overall for this year at any pos position are kept a little lower so then that way you know if they do good they'll outdo their projections and you'll be you know pleasantly Koo surprised all right now at number five I have the Falcons kicker young way coup he's been one of the best kickers in the league since he entered very accurate he's a very young kicker he remains one of the most accurate kickers in the history of the league his his accuracy percentage right now is at 88.5% and the Falcons will of course be very different looking as I've mentioned in previous videos recently with re Raheem Morris as the new coach and Kurt Cousins at the helmet at quarterback he he should have plenty of chances to kick field goals and and all the the differences on offense should give a trickle down effect to coup and keep him as a safe certainly top 12 kicker if not I would say a top five McPherson kicker now at number six I have Evan mcferson he converted 83.9% of his field goal attempts last season while hitting seven out of 12 from 50 plus yards so that's pretty decent and he also finished this season with 135 points uh with Joe burough healthy again that should help the Bengals offense this year and therefore should also help mcferson production in fantasy and keep him as a certain top 10 kicker in fantasy this year all right now at Fairbairn number seven I have Cami fairb Baron with the Texans fairon actually produced week to week at a top level at kicker last year in 2023 as you'll see he only ended with 113 points not very high but that was because he wasn't able to stay healthy the whole season he missed some time due to Due a due to a quad injury but now back healthy in 2024 Fair Baron should have a chance to be a easy top 10 kicker being that the Texans are assumed to be a really good team yet again with CJ strad and that offense that they have there now at number eight I have the New Zuerlein York Jet kicker Greg zerline zerline is entering his third season with the Jets he made 35 out of 38 field goals last season his most accurate campaign since 2017 uh that that equals out to 92.1% on accuracy with how bad the Jets offense was last season it's no surprise that his performance last season in fantasy wasn't the best if things go just as well as everybody hopes with Rogers and with that offense Zer should have plenty more chances to kick field goals than he did last year now at number nine on the list I Dicker have Cameron Dicker he finished seventh in 2023 he's projected to finish at around nth for kickers in 2024 I think his projected ADP is pretty accurate and his projected points the Chargers could be a better offense but at the same time this year maybe kind of a rebuild they're kind of gearing up to be more of a running team and we'll just have to see how they can do with the pieces they do have right now they should be able to move the ball certainly at least through the Run game they might be able to do so and with Harbaugh at the helm now he's a coach that again a little bit more of an older style coach in the sense that sure he may go forward on fourth down when it's when it's correct to do so or when it's smart to do so but he's also a coach that might be a little bit more willing to just take the points when when they are available and let Dicker go out there kick the field goal so that could be good for you on fantasy if you pick Dicker and again I've got him here at number nine that's around where he's projected to go for kickers so he's one of those kickers that certainly if you see other player if you see other teams in your league start jumping early for kickers and getting those top ones you could wait a little while keep building up your bench depth and go for Dicker in one of those last couple rounds and you should be safe to still have him Moody there at number 10 I have Jake Moody Jake Moody with the 49ers he is the heir to Robbie Gold and he had a really great rookie season in 2023 after he was the first kicker drafted in the actual 2023 draft out of Michigan kicking for an offensive Mastermind like Shanahan with a roster that they do certainly can help him but also has some downsides in that the 49ers are one of those teams that can go for forward on fourth down maybe more than some teams would because they do have the talent to do so but Shanahan's not really the most aggressive coach when it comes to that stuff if they're in a situation where they can take the points than really needing to force it on fourth down they'll do it especially being they are the 49ers they'll they'll be leading a lot of games so if they get stopped in the Red Zone they'll be willing to take the points so that that should help Jake Moody be somewhat reliable uh or at least worthy enough of being a top 10 fantasy quarterback and therefore likely being worthy of being on a roster most of the Santos Season up next at number 11 I have CYO Santos only reason I don't have Santos higher is just because his average draft position is so low that you really don't need to worry about focusing on him so early Kyro Santos especially for me as a Bears fan he's certainly a player that I would suggest as you know if you're not going to pick in those top three kickers maybe top five if you're not going to get one of those wait wait till the very last couple rounds as you can see here's average draft position 283 that is that is pretty darn low and I think that's under what his actual value is going to be as you can see he finished with 155 points last season that put him in fourth for kickers he he's projected right now to be way lower as far as the ranking for points on on ESPN anyways but I think that's very low he's going to be on a bears offense or be with a Bears team with an offense that has plenty of more weapons now again there's a lot of unknowns of how the Bears offense is going to look but they should be able to produce enough to be getting into the red zone semi-frequently or at least into field goal range and Santos has a pretty good range he's pretty accurate at k kicker so I think certainly if you want to just be conservative at kicking kicker or at picking kickers for your team and you want to wait on them build your your bench step first I would definitely suggest keeping Cairo Santos in mind and being ready to draft him towards the end of the draft now at number 12 I have Bass Tyler Bass with the bills he wasn't the most consistent kicker in 2023 he did have some good weeks still with the bills who do still have a defensive head coach so that can help him in that they may not be the most aggressive at times when going forward on fourth down and therefore may be more willing to take the points with a field goal and being that they are one of the better teams should have the lead a decent amount of times or at least be in a close game to where they're comfortable with a field goal now at number 13 I have Jake Bates Bates he is a rookie kicker the first rookie we have on this list he he's going to be with the Detroit Lions he's the only R rookie on this list period actually and the Lions should have a great team in offense again but of course they have become very aggressive on Fourth Downs so that kind of makes things a little bit scary for drafting Jake Bates honestly at this point he is 13th on this list so unless you're in a deep draft in in a deeper League that as I said maybe has 12 people maybe maybe more teams in it unless you're in one of those leagues if you're in just kind of the default all 10 Jake Bates is kind of in this range where probably wouldn't even suggest drafting him at all and just you know depending on the week maybe pick him up off of Waiver Wires and put him on your team but otherwise I wouldn't really suggest it again he's also a rookie so we don't know how things are going to go for him in the NFL he was a good kicker at in college that's why he was drafted this year for the Lions but again they're they're just a team that's not the most prone to take field goal attempts as often as some teams would and so that doesn't really help bait's rating for Fantasy now at number 14 I have Jason Sanders Sanders had a couple he had some okay weeks last year wasn't the most consistent but he's more likely a streaming off option off the waiver wire against favorable matchups rather than somebody that you're going to draft and Gay then last on this list of the top 15 kickers I have Matt gay he's been one of the better kickers in his career but not really any longer up there but as you'll see he did for 2023 he did finish with quite a big good bit of of points was in that top 10 range this year I don't know he'll be there but keep an eye out out for him with his average draft position and his projected totals I don't know that he's worth drafting outside of in a deep League or if you're really confident that Matt gay and the Colts are going to be in field goal kicking positions a lot otherwise I would say just let him fall out of the draft going drafted and pick him up off of wer wires later on in the Ontro season and with that that wraps up the
