playing Hard Rock today six so e Welcome to Hard Rock stadium the smoke machine is rolling and the Miami Hurricanes making their customary grand entrance onto the field today A ranked versus ranked the 43 halfway there on first down it's second and five right now my defense how about that interior defense stuffing the run for nothing come to the line at the 42 facing a third and short looking wide out receiver wasn't ready for the throw incomplete this is the type of play that can give the offense momentum third and short from inside the 20 from the gun wants to pass can't make the connection on third down thanks to that tough hard noosed pass defense and now it's Fourth Down defense did a great job third and short on the opponent side of the field they're expecting quick throw everybody they dug their heel on the ground they're able to break on the ball Force the incompletion he gets a block looking for Running Room he'll get it to the 43 yd line before he stopped just enough time for one more St before the end of the the [Applause] quarter Martinez on the carry and the run is for no gain and no more time left on the clock in the first [Music] quarter now to see if these guys can get back in the game as we open the second quarter we'll get this quarter going with a second down play dropping back it's Ward fires to the big fella nice pitch and catch there and they'll have enough for the first down let me tell you this senior quarterback can flat fit it in a tight window now on first down from the 43 yd line receiver on the Move gets the touch pass can't get him to the ground and a good solid pick up there before the defense knocks him down nyd pickup on first down and now they can take a shot on second and short they'll try the Run shakes off the defender and he's brought down but the defender got a face full of stiff arm before he picked up that first down the hurricanes are moving quickly down the field they'll give it to him again a run up the middle is stuck for No Gain stopping the run is very high on every defensive coordinator's list making the team onedimensional nice job stuffing the run on that play right there nowhere to run on that one he loses four on the carry yeah they're just going to need more pushup front there was nowhere for that running back to go the offensive line got moved right back into his lap and as a result they yards on that play they're trying to get to it and the defense the quter down at the 44 pretty nice as a defense right when you can go nickel put five DBS on the field and not have to Blitz anyone trusting your front four to get the job done on third down and they do it right there getting the sack fourth down and the punt team sends it the other way and that is textbook instructional video out of bounds right around the goal line they're backed up first and 10 from inside their own five let's see if they can create some space they go to the ground finds a hole and he'll pick up six out to the 8 yd line I know it's sexy to throw the football but if you can pound it away and get these kind of gains they will just add up wear the defense down get first downs and ultimately get some points find some Running Room he'll pick up four out to the 12 and you know when we talk about great third down defenses it really starts with them getting stops on first and second you've got to get those stops early in the drives to set up third and long so that's a missed opportunity on that second down by this defense you ain't getting by all these guys right up the middle unless your offensive line and your tight ends and everybody is putting in the work up front committing to blocking the running back does a great job finding the exploding through how about that nice big huge game if I'm the OC let's call that one again getting that push they pick up a four out to the 26 after the productive first down play it's second and six fires to the big fella still running at the 40 defense on skates that time they finally drag him down at the 42 well after that last play you can see how electrifying this guy is and how special he is after he makes the catch if I'm on offense I'm trying to find a lot of ways to get him touches in this game looking to the big tight end incomplete and he threw that one up for gron into traffic fortunate to get it back after the misfire now on second down he's looking to throw fires to the wide out all kinds of room to throw that one in there and they'll finally catch up to him but not before for a big chunk of yardage is picked up they're in the Red Zone first and 10 from the 20 new set of downs after that completion looking to throw it again fires to the right and this will be incomplete a big hit there for his second down couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they throw it again on second down they'll take to the air he's got and he's in for the touchdown no quarterbacks and receivers develop confidence and chemistry as the game goes on these two right now are definitely on the same page [Music] P unit on the field the fate and a little Shuffle he'll run into the end zone for the two-point conversion and the trickery pays off lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown Drive I wish this would be the real score the returner will field it and try to do some business and they he'll get him on the ground as yens comes out to start the next Drive first play of this drive comes from the 14 yd line they'll come out on this drive and let it rip it's complete a quick tackle made but he's got PL for here before the defense finally makes the [Music] stop comes out throwing on first down and the defense gets to the quarterback a timeout is called as this offense tries to find a way to get more points on the board before the half looking to pass on second down almost [ __ ] didn't you intercept that INE the defense almost came up with a turnover they've got some work to do on this third and long from the 40 they'll turn to Martinez he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple well the linebacker showing you read and reacts he knew exactly where that running play was going and he beat the football to the line of scrimmage and forced the tfl fourth down and the punt team sends it the other way bringing it back it's Zimmerman and they'll get him down after the return at the 27 yd line the offense lining up for a first down play he's looking to throw it going for the big Play It's incomplete and he's lucky to get that one back all intercept after the quarterback and receiver failed to hook up they'll try it again on second down he's looking to throw unloads to the right complete downfield and he breaks into the open inside the tan lean for the wire touchdown and too man I mean he's just too big for DBS to cover and he's too fast for linebackers to cover if I'm this QB I'm looking that guy's way a lot more often than this one getting set for the point after the kick is up and good and put one more on the lead aggressive play calling on that drive just two plays they get the long touchdown pass to pay it off just about set to kick it away and he takes this from inside the five and they'll bring him down to get the offense started on the next Drive Line gets set first down power football with the run across the 25 he's got room now they've got a little room to work with they're out to the 28 with the first down they'll ride the hot hand fouls through the defense and after that they'll head to the locker room [ __ ] first the Jo that LeBron guys who's got a better seat there in South Florida than you a captivating to this one it's been a fun start to this one and this offense has really been the story they opened up a sizable lead and unless something drastic changes things might get even more out of hand a combination of lethal efficiency and that offensive line has been the key they've mauled that defense and also just about real quick they made no doubt about who's the better football team sometimes avoiding disaster is the best thing the pter just gets it out of there oh yeah I got an interception and I returned it by the field again these last couple of drives Jesse have been about the defense making clutch stand I think for this offense they can stay aggressive knowing that their defense is going to bail them out time and time again here yeah and especially when you go for those fourth down situations you do that a lot of times because you know your defense can make stands make stops they did on that last possession for you the handoff keep working on that clock that's what you expect from a senior don't give them any extra yards great tackle there after the strong run on second down third down coming do they do it again he'll P it down man down on the play as the officials no way that [ __ ] hurt himself bro [Applause] bro [ __ ] setting up for a first first and 10 from the [Applause] 26 the give to the back Powers through the defender he's just outside the 20 yd line stopped at the 21 after a pick up of six second down here and maybe they've got time to get one more snap off before the about in this one Jesse but I'm sure they'll try to seek out some positives well this might be an opportunity to go back when they watch this game and just find OPP for the coaching staff to condense The Playbook a little I was going to say there's not a lot of good to go back to that' be a quick film session because there was more negatives than positives but when you look at this this week you got a week to figure it out figure out what your offense is going to be moving forward and this is just one of those days man where everything has gone wrong right like they just haven't been in a rhythm they haven't they haven't got it going and never built the momentum this is this is one of those days that you learn from you try to grow from a lot of things that we're going to show in the film room that people aren't going to like but hopefully you can learn from it and do better next time wants to throw it's Ward pocket starts to collapse excitement of the day your quarterback getting drilled late in the football game offense has sputtered they haven't found any kind of good Rhythm they haven't done things that that really gives your coach confidence and and makes you want to believe in them this offense has a lot of work to do before their next football game boy that seemed to be prime return territory instead he'll make the fair catch here comes the offense onto the field again from the gun the running back has it a solid pick up there before the defense is able to make the stop and there's nothing more frustrating than when you get late in the game and you know they're running the football and you don't stop it it's been that kind of day for this defense they haven't played well they're going to have to go to the well they're going to have to figure some things out practice this week I can promise you will not be a lot of fun with these coaches they'll try to run for it just what they' hoped for on third down as they've got a first at the 32 that is how it's done on third down at short and no doubt about it an easy hole to get through and clearly get the first down if you really want to simplify football the low man wins that time the offense got the better of the D easily pick that up got three on first down it's second and seven on the move it's quick and he's able to bounce off one tackle but still not a whole lot of running R and the defense is still fighting they the day that they dreamed of you know talking to the coaches coming to the game like they thought they had a good plan they'd be ready to attack and and and limit some of the damage this offense has done they haven't done it today though they got to go back to the drawing board figure some things out cuz this wasn't a great G third down play from the gun and they're going to another score one last points on the scoreboard and they say play to the final whistle this offense took it to heart scoring late maybe they could have wasted the clock and made no doubt about it this one's [Music] over ready to try the point after and the extra point just TS a little bit more onto this huge lead so that scoring Drive took only six [Music] plays I [ __ ] get back bro what kind of field position can he help him with on the return how this nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 and after this play the cake will be baked looking to move it through the air here's a throw down just masterful working that Seline and getting the toe down for the catch this is what an elite team does they know they're better they go out they take the figurative sledgehammer and hit them right between the eyes and they just look good in every phase of the game if I'm on the coaching staff I don't know what you could ask for your guys to do better I think the challenge now for this team is going out next week and trying to play with the same type of intensity and the same level of execution well Jesse it's easy to look good on
