Star Wars Outlaws Sales Look DISMAL As Ubisoft Stock TANKS

things are not looking good for Ubisoft massive entertainment and their latest release Star Wars Outlaws there's a new report claiming that sales are down 55% compared to Star Wars Jedi Survivor at report rot this up over at that parkplace.com and we have this report coming to us from Nintendo life reporting that Star Wars alls top the sales chart in the United Kingdom best in Hogwarts Legacy Elden ring armored Core six fires of Rubicon and EA Sports fc24 so it was at the top of the UK sales charts however this is uh what is significantly concerning at least significantly concerning for Ubisoft I think gamers are probably rejoicing at this indicating that their rejection of this game is indeed working but games industry head Christopher dring reported this on X he says launch sales for Star Wars allw are 55% lower than what Star Wars Jedi Survivor did he also noted it was 15% bigger than ubisoft's massives last game Avatar frontiers of Pandora which I think was a financial flop I do not think that that game sold well at all I think they lost money potentially on that game especially with the licensing and everything like that and you know that Lucas film games the Walt Disney Company is also getting a licensing fee for this it was even seemingly helping them with the marketing giving Ubisoft uh and their influencers passes to Disneyland Etc paying for all those people to uh try and promote the game hoping that it would maybe revive the Star Wars brand which is been significantly destroyed by lucasfilm and the Walt Disney Company over the past couple of years can just look at the most recent television release the Acolyte and seeing how the viewers on that show uh quickly quickly evaporated week over week one of the worst performing Star Wars shows I think it is the worst performing Star Wars show on Disney plus of all time at least up until this point we'll see if Skeleton Crew surpasses it but these numbers do not look good 55% lower sales in the UK compared to Star Wars Jedi Jedi Survivor and only 15% bigger than Avatar frontiers of Pandora not looking good there he did add this caveat though a little bit later he says so it turns out there may be some missing data from the physical numbers so it's worth waiting for the end of the week when the digital stats are in which is just true generally however uh we don't just have this we have some other evidence to show that this game might not be performing as well as what some people might lead you to believe we have a report from True trophies they do a weekly most popular PlayStation 5 and Playstation 4 games chart and uh when Star Wars Outlaws released it only placed 25th on the chart in its first week that is not good the Alex Kess aers Stevenson even shared this number 25 is just below the middle of the chart and it sits behind pretty much every major in middling live service game in terms of popularity right now normally these are the early 20s spots where PS Plus's Indie Games debut not new triaa open world games so obviously their chart is the top 40 placed in the 25th below the half half mark there not looking good just uh for comparison it performed worse than games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 hell divers 2 Elden ring ubisoft's owned Tom cl's Rainbow Six Siege which I think was in the top 10 and then obviously black myth Wukong which has been dominating the sales charts we know that it sold over 10 million in what just its first four days of release who knows how well it has done since then haven't seen any reports on that but massive massive numbers for that game and Star Wars Outlaws not looking good only 25th on true trophies um top PlayStation 5 and four games chart we also have this report here from stuttering Craig aka Craig skistimas uh the host and owner of sides scrollers podcast he shared that a source inside a major Box Store retailer informed him that there had been only 41 pre-orders for Star Wars Outlaws in a major metropolitan area where 27 locations of the chain are located uh he said this I have an Insider who works for high traffic game stores in one of the most populated places in the US they have 27 stores in that area and there have been a total of 41 pre-orders for Star Wars Alice 41 there is no hype for this game just provid some color he did share this I think this was yesterday on September 3rd yep it was yesterday he wrote this regarding Concord my Insider told me in June July and August Concord had only 231 pre-orders companywide 91 of them were canceled before the game before the shutdown of the game they sold 140 copies of Concord in over 900 stores it says I want to reiterate that is roughly one copy for every six stor so looks like I mean obviously we only have 27 stores in a major metropolitan area 41 pre-orders but looks like similar similar pre-orders compared to Concord which is not good we know that game was just shut down yesterday less than two weeks after it was released obviously a very different type of game live service game uh 5v5 Team shooter actually requires people to be playing the game in order to make money or at least that's the the idea because they were going to launch some in-game store Etc with Cosmetics so they're going to try and do that Star Wars Al obviously single player game it does have the DLC with the season pass and all that stuff so they do want you to buy this game and continue to uh play it so they can sell that DLC and those season passes Etc when they release it with like Lando calz and Hondo and AA I know those are the two that they all have announced will be coming up for that game so still not good not good this does not look like it is performing up to expectations uh you can also look at the twitch tracker uh significant significant decline in interest in the game just a week after its release the game's Peak at average viewership occurred during the game's 3-day Early Access if you pre-ordered the gold or ultimate editions or subscribed to Ubisoft plus it had an average viewership of 45,5 51 viewers on August 27th that was the peak it has since been in Decline on September 2nd the average viewership was down to 6,668 that is a massive massive decline there in average viewership I mean we're talking almost 40,000 average viewers just wiped out if you look at Peak viewers ship it is an even more Grim picture in my opinion Peak viewership hit 17554 on August 26th but like average viewership has declined since then most recently it's Peak viewership on September 2nd was 10,977 so massive declines there when looking at twitch viewership and just to kind of provide some color show a comparison here Blackmouth Wukong was fourth on the true trophy's most popular PlayStations games list it had an average Peak viewership of 241,000 number for Star Wars Outlaws and Blackmouth Wukong way more people watching streams at that game on average and then on September 2nd it had 37,2 162 average viewers so that's almost more than the peak average viewership of Star Wars Outlaws I mean only 8,000 difference there despite being out for a lot longer if you look at Peak viewership 482,000 508 on August 20th on September 2nd it still had Peak viewership of 8,21 that is uh crazy that's almost more than the entire Peak viewership of Star Wars Al which is what 117 so only little bit less than 40,000 there despite it being out for two I think two weeks longer than uh Star Wars Outlaws just showing just how dominant Blackmouth Wukong still is people are obviously interested in this game they're playing it they're watching it Etc you can even look at like I said the the number of channels who are actually streaming it twitch tracker reports that Blackmouth Wukong hit a peak of 5,371 channels on August 19th while Star Wars allas only hit a peak of 1,221 that is in over four times as many channels were streaming black with black myth Wukong compared ared to Star Wars allas I think that just shows you obviously Blackman Wukong being massive massive success but still I think it just shows you how poorly Star Wars Outlaws is doing in comparison to it so uh we also have I just want to bring this back up I I think investors have kind of saw the writing on the wall even back during ubisoft's um q1 earnings report they the company predicted that it's Q2 would just bring in 500 million Euros which investors thought was rather low Barkley's Nick Dempsey even asked this when he said when I look at the guidance for a Q2 and if I assume something similar for back catalog in Q2 and q1 kind of getting to to 230 million euro that sort of range for the new release Star Wars Outlaws when I look at the $70 price and then assuming what you might get from it I'm getting to around 5 million units something in that sort of bracket first of all where could I be going wrong with that think secondly are you just being pretty conservative in your guidance because I guess given the interest in that game we might have thought it would be more than 5 million units remember 10 million units for black myth Wukong back uh in his first four days I think five million units is actually probably a higher number than what this game actually is going to sell I think that is it's really high based on like what we're seeing already I think that it's going to be come in a lot less than that but anyways this is what Ubisoft CEO if as gamont said he says we can't comment on the very numbers you are quoting but what we have factored in is a strong launch for Star Wars Outlaws that reflects the fact that it is among the most awaited games of the industry this year and a really strong positive Community sentiment and also the fact that we are coming with the biggest marketing campaign ever so far for an Ubisoft game so that's what we've been factoring in the second quarter so I think like they just threw bad money after bad money with the marketing and on this game and just kind of piled up their losses with that because I just don't think that they are going to recoup the the costs that they have put out for this U at least to the extent that they probably thought they were going to uh in fact following the release of Star Wars Outlaws remember it general public August 30th is when it released came out on a Friday so it was just been out for uh I guess a week if you want to count the Early Access stuff but we saw that the stock over the past five days has declined by over 10% nearly 11% decline there you can see sharp fallof right there at the very beginning of September so it looks like uh investors do not think that this game is selling well uh and are reacting to it it's um at a low of 1550 not not good uh for Ubisoft but I'm sure gamers are loving this uh this is all part of the plan to punish these companies that are pushing the woke agenda Ubisoft being one of the biggest uh AAA game developers that pushes the woke agenda it's all over their website it's all in their game development it's in their character design you see that in the character of K vess you see that in the fact that they chose to have kvest be the protagonist be a Smuggler in this game uh doesn't really make any sense uh should have been a male character in my opinion in the vein of Han Sol probably should have been a Han game if we're being honest they set it in in the same time frame where Han Solo is operating could have even had Lando C rizing but they chose to introduce a new female character and I think that has everything to do with the Dei agenda at Ubisoft and I think they're going to pay the price for this and I think uh this game might do marginally better than Assassin's Creed shanos I think Assassin's Creed shanos is actually going to do worse but things are not looking good over there for Ubisoft and that is only good news to my ears and I think good news to many gamers who are just sick and tired of this agenda that Ubisoft and other AAA game developers have been pushing on us trying to get them to buy into their twisted sick and at the end of the day evil ideologies but let me know what you guys make of these uh this report that sales for Star Wars
