Killing Blow adds additional effects to his normal abilities so let's talk about that first before we move on ship's ultimate is called killing blow and its active effect is a short- range execute on Heroes that have 20 % or less Health with the upgrades increasing sh's movement speed execute threshold and providing a reset of the ability when he kills a target with it once you unlock shiv's Ultimate you also unlock a passive when shiv deals damage to enemies he'll gain a little bit of Rage while at full rage shiv gains significantly increased damage and additional effects on his basic abilities after not dealing damage for a short amount of time the rage meter will slowly deplete shi's first ability is 1st Ability - Serrated Knives called serrated knives sh thr throws a knife forward dealing damage and slowing the first enemy hit that enemy now also has a stack of bleed on them dealing some damage over time if an enemy is hit by multiple daggers the bleed stacks and the debuff duration is reset while at full rage these knives will bounce to another nearby Target applying the same effects to both enemies serrated knives upgrades Grant an additional charge an increased buff duration and increased damage on the knife and bleed effect shiv's second ability is slice and dice when activated 2nd Ability - Slice & Dice shiv will Dash a short distance forward damaging all enemies he crosses paths with when at full rage slice and dice Echoes dealing damage a second time in the same path as before the upgrades for slice and dice are a lower cooldown increased damage and a cooldown refund based on the number of enemy Heroes hit finally shiv's third ability is blood 3rd Ability - Bloodletting letting when Shi takes damage some of it is turned into a damage overtime effect applied to him using blood letting heals for a percentage of that ticking damage the upgrades for blood letting are a long longer damage over time duration a lower cool down and an increase to the percentage of damage he can heal and negate now let's talk about shiv's ability combos shiv has two primary combos that Define his approach to combat the first combo is serrated Ability Combo's daggers to apply pressure and a slow follow up with slice and dice for some quick burst damage and catch- up potential and then use your ultimate to deliver the killing blow the second combo is opening with his ultimate then using serrated daggers and slice and dice to slow and catch up to enemies this combo is perfect for catching enemies off guard especially around corners use your ultimate to close the gap then follow up with serrated daggers and slice and dice to finish up the job right now I'd highly recommend a more Spirit focused build for shiv as he can easily Stack Up kills at full Rage with Recommended Build & Core Items knives dashes and executes to his heart's content I'd recommend starting with ammo scavenger and extra charge to get him off the ground from there shiv has a couple core items that give him big Power spikes when purchased active reload lets shiv reload significantly faster and keep his rage building in crucial moments while improved burst lets him deal 1/4 of an enemy's health bar with just a single dagger finally rapid recharge makes it so you can spam serrated daggers and fights keeping enemies slowed and bleeding them all the time my preferred shiv build is also available in game and as a cheat sheet Link in the description if you'd like to download that as for leveling and upgrading his abilities serrated daggers is the best level one skill by a long shot followed with blood letting at Ability Leveling Guide level two to keep you topped up on early skirmishes with SLI and dice taken third opening up your ability to engage and disengage fights finally at level four take shiv's ultimate and start building up that rage meter for Ability upgrades I'd recommend maxing serrated daggers first by saving up your ability points then applying two upgrades into slice and dice with his ultimate being maxed out next then you can finish off slice and ice with the final upgrade and fully upgrade blood letting last in team fights shiv should prioritize targeting high damage Heroes like gry Talon Teamfighting as Shiv vindicta wraith and lash as an assassin Your Role is to dive in and eliminate these threats before they that can turn the tide of battle don't shy away from drawing attention though with blood letting shiv's effective health is much higher than it appears giving your allies time to capitalize on any chaos that you create in the backline as for ways to counter shiv shiv struggles Counters & Advantages against items and heroes that can slow him down or drain his health items like heal ban and siphon bullets which steals Max Health are particularly effective against him additionally Heroes with strong crowd control such as Dynamo and vindicta can keep shiv at Bay however shiv excels against squishy Heroes like greaty Talon and hay who can easily be burst down and poked repeatedly sh's lethal burst damage coupled with his mobility and rage management make him a formidable force in the right hands mastering his Combos and knowing when to strike are key to dominating the battlefield of shiv whether you're outmaneuvering your opponents in 1 V ones or wreaking havoc in team fights shiv's burst damage and Agility make him a deadly addition to any lineup now that Final Thoughts wraps up our Deep dive on shiv but if you found this guide helpful please make sure to hit the like button on this video and subscribe for more in-depth hero breakdowns in the future and if you would drop a comment below on who you want to see a breakdown for next thanks for watching and I'll see you in the next one [Music]
