IOWA'S NEWS LEADER. WELL, WE'RE BACK WITH JAN REIGHARD NOW AND IT'S GOING TO BE A HOT DAY TO GARDEN OR JUST ABOUT DO ANYTHING OUTSIDE TOMORROW. YEAH, MAYBE THE ONE THING YOU'RE REALLY GOING TO WANT TO DO IN THE GARDEN IS GIVE THOSE PLANTS SOME EXTRA WATER, BECAUSE, YEAH, IT'S GOING TO BE TOASTY OUT THERE. YOU SHOULD ALSO GIVE YOURSELF SOME EXTRA WATER TOMORROW. IT IS GOING TO BE WARM. STAY HYDRATED OUT THERE. WARM NIGHT SETTING UP FOR US ALL ACROSS THE STATE. TEMPERATURES STILL HANGING OUT IN THE 70S AND 80S AT THIS TIME. IT STILL FEELS LIKE 97 AT THE DES MOINES AIRPORT AS WELL. EVEN AS WE APPROACH THIS 11:00 HOUR. VERY WARM FOR US OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES ONLY DIPPING DOWN INTO THE UPPER 70S HERE TONIGHT. CLEAR SKIES STAYING WITH US. THAT TAKES US INTO THE DAY TOMORROW. YOU'LL NOTICE BY LUNCHTIME TOMORROW WE'RE ALREADY SOARING. THOSE TEMPERATURES. ACTUAL TEMPERATURES INTO THE 90S. FEELING EVEN WARMER AT THAT POINT. HERE'S TONIGHT'S FORECAST. EVERYBODY DOWN INTO THE 70S AGAIN. NOT MUCH RELIEF DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS FOR US OUT THERE. AND NOT MUCH COMFORT IN SIGHT ANY TIME SOON. WE'RE IN THAT MISERABLE CATEGORY FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY. ONE OF THOSE PHRASES I LOVE TO SAY AND HATE TO FEEL AIR YOU CAN WEAR. THAT'S WHAT WE'RE DEALING WITH HERE OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS, EVEN AS WE HEAD INTO WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY, WHERE THINGS START TO RELAX A LITTLE BIT, IT'S STILL GOING TO FEEL PLENTY STICKY DURING THAT TIME FRAME, JUST BETTER BY COMPARISON. HEAT INDEX AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS AND INTO THE DAY TOMORROW DOES IMPROVE A LITTLE AND THEN IT GETS WORSE ALL OVER AGAIN TOMORROW AFTERNOON. WE'RE TALKING TRIPLE DIGIT HEAT INDEX VALUES AND NOT EVEN JUST INTO THAT, BUT MORE SO APPROACHING THAT 105 TO 110 CATEGORY. FOR THOSE FEELS LIKE TEMPERATURES. AGAIN, THIS IS DANGEROUS HEAT. THIS IS NOTHING THAT YOU WANT TO BE MESSING AROUND WITH. YOU WANT TO TAKE THAT TIME INDOORS, TAKE THOSE BREAKS. IF YOU'RE DOING MANUAL LABOR OUTSIDE ESPECIALLY, OR TRY TO PUT THAT OFF, IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. TUESDAY AGAIN, A SIMILAR PICTURE FOR US A LITTLE BIT BETTER TOMORROW IS GOING TO BE THE WORST OF THE HEAT, BUT STILL TWO DAYS BACK TO BACK. PLUS TODAY AS WELL THAT WE'VE ALREADY GONE THROUGH THAT HEAT ADVISORY WILL BE BACK IN PLACE FOR US ACROSS CENTRAL IOWA TOMORROW WITH THOSE HEAT INDEX VALUES EXPECTED INTO THAT 110 DEGREE RANGE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. AGAIN, ACTUAL TEMPERATURES FOR US, A LITTLE BIT BETTER, IF YOU COULD SAY THAT 99, THOUGH STILL EXPECTED IN THE DES MOINES AREA, 98 FOR AMES, THE FORT DODGE 95 GRINNELL. THERE 97 ATWOOD 95 AS WELL. VERY WARM. LAST TIME WE SAW HEAT LIKE THIS BACK ON JUNE 24TH, BUT WE'LL PROBABLY SURPASS THAT THERE TOMORROW. SO HOTTEST DAY OF THE YEAR EXPECTED FOR US THERE TOMORROW. TAKE IT EASY AGAIN. STAY HYDRATED. IF YOU CAN. HERE'S HOW THINGS LOOK FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. MORE 90S ON THE WAY. WE DO START TO SEE A LITTLE BIT OF IMPROVEMENT BY THE END OF THE WEEK, SENDING US BACK MORE NEAR NORMAL INTO THOSE LOWER 80S THERE. TO WRAP UP THE WEEK. BUT AGAIN TOMORROW, T
