NCAA Football League - Week 4 - Colorado @ Air Force

[Music] [Music] okay here we go [Music] [Music] against the backdrop of the Ro the play my so you guys know stce Academy and when they're not learning to fly they're getting ready for batt on the ground I'm broadcasting what a match we have story still early in the season but this is a major test for a couple of squs who've gotten out of the game undefeated as we'll see the winners of three straight the Cado Buffalo taking on a team reach charged that much needed by week the Air Force falcon 4A sports college football Reese Davis with you alongside David Po and and he'll return it and try to get behind his block he was looking for some running found as stopped at the 18 offense will get the first swing of the game here he comes and obviously defense is always going to be aware quarter but boy he finds a way to put defenses on their heels all the time I mean what can he do he's got the weapons he's got the confidence he's got the experience Jesse these kind of guys are so hard to defend you're right they better be able to find a way to get pressure on him cuz if they don't this is going to be a long day they'll start this one from the 29 on first down he'll try to pop the draw good solid pick up on that one they got it out to the 40 and it's first down here's his offense with a fresh set of downs to the ground he's got it again he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple I think a lot of times when offenses Rel count fake one right right guys you can get some penetration really quickly get behind those pullers you got a chance to get in the back field just like right there and create a tfl he will step out of bounds but not the big pick up and a first down for this offense one of the things that makes this quarterback so dangerous is how accurate he can be when he's on the run and he's a guy that's looking to throw he's not looking to take off himself showed you that accuracy on that play to get the first got his hand quickly really nice job there by both guys to throw and the catch to work that defense and get the first down and the Buffalo come to the line with a fresh set of downs they'll throw it on first down complete downfield they bring him down but he's got a first and goal from the 10 new center Downs right on the doorstep for this offense they want to just keep throwing it and he wses in for the score touchdown colado talk about an offense finding early so nice to find the early get that confence going exactly what you expect them to do yeah yeah I'm going to take him out go great start for the offense about to kick it off after punching it in for the touchdown and he's going to bring it out of the end zone I know he thinks he can house every return but sometimes you just have to take a knee as he stopped on 14 so the Air Force Falcons offense has its first opportunity of the day here are our impact players for this game and it goes beyond executing an assignment to make an impact in the game yeah obviously we were talking about coaching staff this week and we asked them who needs to step up and play while they immediately pointed to these guys right here they are the key for their respective teams yeah they don't always show up in the Box guys are the lead guys getting everybody organized that have to play well for their team to succeed on the option discard a match they finally make the stop with the big Ry isy to move those sticks for the first down I love it what a play going to the fullback in the running game he shows you that he's got some ability thisy time High School running back and he shows you the wiggle he's got some ability to break tackles and he helps his offense out last play was a near disaster now dealing with second and 13 the back goes in motion the option look they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one the defense really gets it they understand what's going on the quarterback is a threat to run the football I have to understand it changes the way I play defense am I going to have more speed on the field whatever I do I got to make sure I do what they did right there focusing on QB lock in and make sure he doesn't make the Falcons will send out the punt unit they'll have to punt for the first time this afternoon a fair catch taken just inside the 40 yd [Applause] line Colorado has the ball back and the Buffalo hoping to put their team in Prime position on offense it's a draw a seven yd pickup it'll be second and three coaches always har about staying ahead of the chains and when you can run with that type of efficiency on first down man you Areo just good spot after that seven yd pickup on first down it's second and three they've got it to the 49 Y Line and they'll move the chain all right nothing flashy there he just did what it took to get the first down it'll be a first down from the 49 yd line he want to throw fires to the wide out got his Man Down field ripped off a huge Shar play on that one as he gets the first down before he out of bounds love the individual effort by the wide receiver after the catch making people Miss showing you the speed now he set up his offense down in the red zone I'm to run it in in the Red Zone he's got four and he's down at the 12 this is a hard offense to run to the outside against because of their speed we saw in that last their ability to go sideline to sideline win at the point of attack as they shut down that smart yeah it's also hard when you get in the red because what do we do on defense we bring in all the big bodies so there's not a lot of space in there to run I like getting the ball in the perimeter you toss it out there you running back he gets out there faster got a positive game still a couple plays here left to Bo they love pick up this conversion and go to work with a first and goal [ __ ] he just never got started going forward a huge loss of eight on the play so they'll send out the field goal unit it's good and that lead grows even bigger guess nobody's watching so after putting three on the board the kickoff team is out there ready to boot it away he'll bring it out I know he thinks he can house every return but sometimes you just have to take a knee as he stopped at the 14 Air Force has it back and the Falcon offense returns to the field they just didn't quite find the Rhythm on that last Drive Jesse they had to punt it I think they got to be more physical David I think up are you kidding me smashes and he FRS at the defendry thought he was going to pitch it kept it himself and turned it into a big play that's the type of explosive play you love to start a drive with first down from the 42 give to the big fullback can't get him to the ground and what moves this guy has the Jes The Wiggles theks just went right past him [Applause] guys Colorado has the lead here really strong performance so far to be able to build a lead here in the first period as we look at the steps free snap motion quarterback trying to get a read they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one all season long we've been watching this defense dominate against the Run they're the number one Rush defense in the entire country with a big lead in this game you cannot run the ball and expect to win and get back in it he has the first and still on his feet he's Off to the Races and he put his foot in the ground and turn it up field turn it into a big play great decision to keep it and that big gain on the last one has them ready to go from inside the 10 and how about that interior defense stopping the run for nothing the and the D Deni him on second and goal now on the option and he's sprinting he'll take it all way touchdown air can these guys just score from anywhere out there that drive sure looks that way and that's what separates really good offenses from great offens you're backed up bad position you can still fight your way out get you touchdown it's a great drive for the offense about to kick it away after scoring the touchdown here he comes inside his own F slips through the line he's on the Roose very he goes open it up he'll take it to the house Dodge down buffalo he is a field flipping machine take it on one end return it to the other and now you get to celebrate what a beautiful job we always talk about defense always none of you are watching my game when they do every single play on the a confident top efficient run gets it up to the 44 well this offense came into the game knowing they wanted to be physical they wanted to establish the line of scrimmage and they're running downhill right at this defense and they're turning out positive yardage early on Third and long he has to throw for it it's complete to the right and they gave him no chance to get loose and they force a fourth down and the Falcons will try to pin them back with the punt this will be the second time they've had to kick it away looking for H out I just had a kick turn for a touchdown and the Colorado offense is coming back onto the field they got the lead here last time they settled I'm struggling against this option [ __ ] they keep doing and and I think they'll take that I got the lead Palmer I got the football I've got to take care of the football put a nice drive together and just get some kind of points on this drive no doubt lots to be happy about right now if you're this team I think for this one though on this drive it's about finding the one-on-one matchups that are in your favor and then exploiting that's what you expect from a senior don't give them any extra yards great tackle there lot of times you want those big plays you want those spash plays but sometimes you're going to take some losses you're not going to run the football overly well but it's a fumble and the defense has got him there trying to pick up some [Applause] yards go figure the one game nobody's watching is the one game I might lose I just turn the ball over they hope to be able to cash in on this drive David after having to punt it last time yeah and I think this offense needs to start it with the first player you need to be successful and productive on that first play and it get you in less predictable situations no doubt to don't you just feel like there's a little bit more sense of urgency on this drive it just feels like they've got to be able to put some points up on the board here back to pass it's bua and it's picked off taking it the other way inside the tag and he's going to take it all way tdch down bucks these guys are really hitting their stride in we four as they push out that lead and with the extra point they now have a thre possession lead at 17 look a lot of time left there's a little bit of distance right now being put on the scoreboard there is but it's so awesome when you're a defense and you study all week about what's coming and what routes to be ready for and then you jump around you make the play and you just go in that end it is so beautiful here comes the air first off back onto the field the big thing now don't get rattled by that last KCK six David it was a big mistake obviously the defense took advantage of it but you got to put it behind you Jesse I'm sure you know a thing or two about throwing Pi six and and had a rebound I believe I've only thrown one in my life but yes I do because of that singular instance I'll say this can't let that play Beat you twice you got to go out not try to get it all back here in one play Just execute the opps and he how the [ __ ] do you defend this 33 preap Motion in the back field quick to he's there to make the stop it's an offense that takes pride in being physical they try to get it going on the ground but no gain on that one does Nowhere to Run not a lot of wiggle room for the ball carry this defense came in knowing that they had to match their physicality let's see if they can keep it up on second down wants to throw it feeling some he lost one down the sideline grabs it inside the T and he Glides into the end zone easily but this one might be coming back so not even the pass interference could stop that play they'll de clim the penalty and they have the touchdown Alex did I tell you you could sorry but said want to hang out you guys yeah well I didn't tell you to Adam top 25 CH is it Lille has the lead right now but like Lamar jaon is under Center out there today which might explain why this one is so close they're up by six can't believe nobody's watching this this this is a better game than I thought it would be Kevin goes final not a whole lot of progress made there on the short run picked up two yard on that last one they need eight on second down just feeds the running back and is stopped immediately by the big defensive lineman here's a Timeout on the field tight game here late in the first half they're going to keep this drive going they'll have to make a play on Third and long from the 26 unloads to the right he strike down field they'll get him on the ground at the 46 and it'll be you leave this party again you ain't coming back I don't know why you took all three of your profiles and you left this chat not job by the defense rushing the quarterback understanding pass and getting the big on the well it's a great job by the receiver fighting back across the DB there to get to the inside at the ball and catch the slam a third and long coming up here dropping back it's Sanders trying to get to him and he is not going to get there as the defense gets him on the ground it's nice for this D coordinator when he puts his nickel package out of the field because that nickel player he's got who Subs in is is good in covering and he can play The Run can spy the quarterback there's a lot of different tools this guy's got to defend against the mobile quarterback and I think we saw a little bit right there in that nickel package Now setting upth pressure coming and it's in the defense I just got distracted this is not a good game we've got a not with this at second the maybe a chance to get off running out of in the first half they're going to have to be efficient to put some points on the the break they're bringing heat it's going to be hard to be him because two and zes yeah I'm three and0 Alex which point has to overcome the negative play after the defense comes up with a sack quarterback extends play a really nice run and gain and he gets down to avoid taking punishment first half in the books time now to join Kevin coners in our update guys time for everyone inside that these typically conservative players open up the Play Crazy a risk here and there to try to gain an edge in what's been AAL and with that let's send it back to the guys Falon [Music] Stadium thanks for that breakdown Kevin and the Buffalo will kick it off to start the second half returner will it field position and the coverage I don't know if I'm going to win this game returns fi triling by a couple of scores they' like to generate some confidence here early in the third quarter down two possessions the coaching staff met in at half and theyve probably this opening drive just like they do at the start of the game they' now got it's to get the ball first like I got the first opportunity to close the gap a little bit apply some great game pressure to these guys get the ball first driving down score right here will be huge they make the stop but not before he takes a chunk out of what they need to move the sticks keep pounding away at this defense and make them play the run if you can get this many a CH they're going to have to commit more guys to the Box more guys to the run then you open up to the passing and this one will be how's that not a fumble the fal decide to [Applause] away I agree that you be with the field position making the fair catch right around the 30yd line Colorado has the ball back in the buffal hoping to put their team in Prime position on offense toss sweep trying to get it outside to the right dances away from one he's working and poking anding and finding his way up to the thir niob by the running back they toss it to him and he's able to kind of weave his way for a very good game for this offense they try to pop a run on the draw really nice stop there from this senior leader it's third [Applause] down now on third down for this offense looking to throw it's Sanders he's got his man they make the stop but not before they do their work up top and pick up a first down and on that third and short I don't think he was unhappy to see that zone nope was a great job by the offense see where the holes in his own are sit down you only need a little bit of yard on this third down get the conversion move the sticks and as an offensive coordinator you don't need the play but this guy running back he's going to make the play perect because Hees everybody moves to come [Applause] on'll minim pick up will they keep it on the ground again you're on third down it'll be a draw and the buffal pick up and obviously this is one of the best offenses in the country and it's because they get first downs top 10 in the nation picking up first downs how nice is it to know you can turn around hand it off to that guy right there and let him go to work he's loose he's all the way down to the three showed it all on that run what a big time run for this offense a physical run get down almost scoring the touchdown yeah and considering how well they're running it right now why would you just hand it off to this guy right here again he works his way ever closer all the way down to the one yd line and this is the area of the field where you need a really good you can depend on you can give him the football he's going to hit a littlee just lower powerful you saw last got a rushing for talking to him this week I know this guy was excited to build off the momentum from the last week when he scored two touchdowns you can just see him here close to the endone he's trying to sniff and he it the long this guy's had a big role in this offense this year especially when they get down close to the end zone that's his fifth rushing touchdown on the year he's been a factor for these guys offensive lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown Drive [Applause] 14 and he's coming out of the end zone hold down at the 18 and the decision to bring it out of the end zone was not a good one here comes the Air Force offense back on the field after giving up that score now it's incumbent on this off to kind of get back and forth going Jesse in this game they got to put some points on the board here there's obviously a lot of football to go so it's not necessarily Panic time just yet but I'm getting the ball into the hands of my best Playmakers on the I hear you J but not play time have you seen my defense I mean I'm not trusting them to get a lot of spots he puts a lot of pressure on this offense and they'll bring him to the ground after a short [Applause] gain guys this off is already really down multiple possessions really need to cash in on this drive defense press coverage he is going nowhere stop at the line of scrimmage is that all they know how to do line up to it away a lot of work I'm the team I'm the one blitzing and they'll bring him down to get the off started on the next D and now the offense will come onto the field again if you like oldfashioned mind up run over a football that last touchdown Drive was for you Jesse that was impressive man great blocking up front and tough physical running by these ball carers and now you wonder how the defense responds like are they going to get way more aggressive just try to stop the run I got to do something to break the rhythm of that running game they'll line up right at the 48 yd line on First and 10 gives it to the back on the draw Powers through the defender they stop him Just sh in the first down but it will be second and inches coming [Applause] up they'll keep it on the ground they get him down and that'll be the final play of team's tougher than I thought they were how we got here more quarter to go and it looks as if we are ready to play back at it to open the quarter with this first down play using his legs to tayen open space at the 25 and it is a CH play a huge gain on that one before the defense bring it to an end what a run great speed great Vision elusiveness dav's Tackle what you got to do to score goore Point down buffal and the beat down has ensued with that the lead nice and comfortable and cruising a start the kick is up and good and put one more on the lead thing you notice Alex I'm not kicking field goals on a first down or punting on a second down Lane running yeah it's pretty easy to follow an offensive line that makes those holes and just gives you a caravan all the way to the end zone what an unbelievable job blocking the front nice job by the kickoff team everybody staying in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 Air Force has it back and the Falcon offense returns to the field the last time we saw this offense we had to look quick it was a three and out Jess just had no R in that last drive so someone's going to have toep make play and get this thing yeah let's find some juice find your guy find those plays that you know you can run inside out forward backwards get some first downs get some positive momentum to the air it's bua and it just squirted through his hands he wanted to take off and got too anxious this defense has kept them backed up now one more stop and they can get off the field on Third and long here's a snap ready to cut one loose uncs it another incom on third down the fal will this one away now Air Force is starting to show the true colors for the F time yet another punt on the way to make sure that hamstring stays loose he's been busy and The Return Man reaches the end of the line and down he goes and the Colorado offense is coming back on the field they had this s in a hammer loock at halime and now they are really ratcheting up Pressure David and I tell you what this offense doesn't have to change I think they've done what they wanted in the first half and starting off the second half the same fashion and I like how they're letting different guys get in ball too they've got so many different playmakers all over the field they'll leave it with him and they pick up just one it'll be third and [Music] N third they line up and it is a a Long Way to the sticks from here on Third and long try to convert through the air on the Run fires down field tremendous awareness along the sideline and the ability to get the foot down for the big pick it really just feels like they are trying to make a statement to everybody in college football they've got a lead they've got it late and they are still putting it on this defense they are still letting it Fly they're airing now trying to light up the scoreb able to make the tackle but not before he gets five yd down to the 21 halfway there on first down it's second and five he'll run it again oh and what a move what a Juke and he makes it P the mark big reason why his team has the lead right now late is because of his performance running the football well over a 100 yards in this game they knew that they were going to have to really a lot of pressure on him he'd have to shoulder the load he has delivered for his offense all G going to work in the Red Zone they can't pick up the first down without getting it into the end zone back to pass it's Sanders touchdown and the punishment has been extended little bit of a scar in the first half reel but as usual Bob's the second half player give you watch putting up points keep putting up touchdowns and you know what this is one of those stats days you look back and you're like that guy had 12 touchdowns in the year Well four or five of them might have been in this game and he passes on the touch back here he comes rolling the dice to bring it out as he stopped at the 13 here comes the Air Force off back on to the field their Drive chart is starting to look a little monotonous punt punt punt David and their defense is starting to get a little frustrated too just keep putting you back on the field possession after possession Jesse this offense needs to get their heads out of there you know what the pter on the Seline with the oyk right they just got to stay on the field dve running and throwing the finally some signs of life from this offense which has done nothing in the second half it's first and 10 using his leg his by the time he does I'll be done to only got four and a half minutes left I mean you're getting drunk there's no other way to put it it's been a bad day I'm trying to put a drive together here maybe to just get some kind of momentum something posi maybe something in the locker room we can talk about that didn't go this defense has just been all over this guy all game long Under Pressure they're finding a way to get to him in affect his rhythm of course they have an interception in this game that's why they've got a big lead through and this sophomore able to wreak some havoc and get the sack well you look at Webster's Dictionary and the term game recer a picture of this guy is going to show up he has been Unstoppable in this football game that's his second sack here today down by multiple possessions you can't come up empty on this drive they'll go for it on Fourth now pocket starts to collapse takes a shot as he throws and he never had a chance incomplete Colorado has the ball back and the Buffalo hoping to put their team in Prime position on offense give as they work on that clock he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple it's going to be tough sliding for the offense here they're trying to ice this game by running the football and leading the clock they've got a pretty good lead here late the game but the defense knows the r is coming right they're going to be loading oh my God what a Juke see that Dave they buil closer to getting a victory here in week and this always is the debate of where you fall it's your job to stop me or I should get conserved because this offense obviously has had themselves a day and apparently their day is not over they're going to continue to keep scoring and the defense better do something about not a chance he lets that one go he's bringing it out and The Return Man is stopped and now will leave it up to the offense on the next Drive okay so here comes the offense returning to the field they were really impressive going for it in their own end last time and put them in a tough spot baby yeah aggressive Reckless they got to find the balance with this offense and really be productive and last possession they went for r with ice call and it didn't work out yeah you're better on third down moving forward though you can keep yourself out of those situations misfired on the last play they'll go back to the air and the sack all the way back at the five one thing I love about this defense and they're showing it here in this game is there's a variety of ways they can get after your quarterback they can get home with four they can get home with three or they can Blitz guys from all over the field but they've got athletes with bad intentions and they've registered a ton of sacks in this one and the Falcons will putt it away on fourth down we've reached the two-minute warning and we see miracles in college football all of the time and they could use one here so from his own End Zone the punt is away now a fair catch is called for and may just shy of Midfield and the Colorado offense is coming back onto the field they're in command of this game now let's see if they tried to rub a little salt in the wound or happy with getting to dou yeah and listen makes the postgame handshake fun sometimes if you do choose to rub a little Sal and keep chucking and keep playing for the Gator you don't play for him because you want the opportunity to throw the ball so when you get in the game late you're not handing it off we were beating Central Michigan by 80 something points he was still let to thr the football it's the defense's job to stop and sometimes for the defense it just takes one play right to create some momentum obviously this guy's been eating him up he's got over 100 yards rushing on the day but finally David they get something positive here in the Run game defensively but you kind of know that coming in he's going to get hit such a great back and he's had a great day need to put more plays together like that right there the Buffalo send out the punt unit the punters have had the day off up to this point first one of the game and the PT will hit it the seven and they can coral it goes into the end zone it'll come out to the 20 they'll snap it from the 20 for the opening play of this drive trying to find his man on first down he's got the back in the middle he'll get it up to about the 32 yd line before he sto and it'll be first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs a little pre snap eye candy for the defense coming after it and the defense is all over the quarterback and down he goes and man is that a just indictment of the day your quarterback getting drilled late in the football game this offense has sputtered they haven't found any kind of good Rhythm they haven't done things that that really gives your coach confidence makes you want to believe in this off has a lot of work to do before their next foot and they might be fortunate it wasn't knock free for a fumble it'll be third down looking to pass it's bua fires left and this is going to be incomplete on third down the Falcons will bring the punt team onto the field wait Which group Jack oh and the return man has no place to run no place to hide and a place to be tackled Colorado has the ball back in theal those hoping to put their team in Prime position on offense what a feeling this has to be David in complete control and headed toward Victory form no stress under left in the ball game well in hand these are the ones Jesse you like to just run wow yeah wow I'm sitting here trying to run a clock out with a running play and [ __ ] touchdown they show their true colors in the second half so like can they gave me a scare in the first half I know I got it it's impossible for them to beat me now continue the P the lead is bigger what a way to a message 17 to 10 uh 17 to seven at half time [Applause] kick just into the end zone and bring it out I know he thinks he can house every return but sometimes you just have to take a KNE as he stopped at the and the returns to the field this has been a really disappointing performance David no watching my yeah well they were scaring me because I couldn't stop their their option place that's all they ran the first two quarters every play was an option make a big difference and I couldn't stop it that's why they got almost 150 Arabs rushing couldn't stop it lock you got to take the we of practice very serious why should they stop I wasn't stopping it so close to paying off the tip really had it in his hands but it falls incomplete now on Third and 10 if they can so I just stuck my game plan on offense and I changed up my defense to how I was playing winds down and it's intercepted turnover from the defense try this again bringing them DBS that's what I'm doing in this situation when I got the lead by a couple scores late in the ball game in the fourth quarter I'm going to rush the pass like I'm to put alls back play the that's whated great J I realized I got more plays than I thought I had in this game the interception this one's almost fouls through the defense looking for room at the 30 they make the Stop and the clock strike zero and that will no they were undef Fe not anymore oh he's up over 600 yards rushing in four games I now own the state of Colorado I beat Colorado State and I beat Air Force got the St of they obviously had their guys ready to play but you'll see the score here 241 rushing yards holy [ __ ] you see that 14 points in the second quarter I was up 2414 and they were scaring me cuz that was too close for me but as usual I blow up in the second half right 28 points in the fourth quarter see how many sacks I have Team I'm Davis this has been another presentation of EA Sports college football I didn't have a lot but oh wrong team yeah five sacks that's all I had this [ __ ] guy three sacks again two straight games he's had three sacks wait what my wide receiver had an interception what how see it right there Travis Hunter my wide receiver had that last interception how insane is that oh my God that guy had a pick in the last game too but that's my wide receiver bro let's see the Rushing look at that 241 yards Ro three touchdowns isn't that insane that is completely insane to oh that's my first game this year I've gotten over 200 yards passing Relic no touchdowns though unfortunately that sucks there my game's done thank God
