hi and welcome to literary hype I am Stephanie your literary hype woman and we are going to talk a little bit about Lord of the Rings rings of power season 2 on Prime television Amazon Prime brought several of the actors from season 2 to San Diego ComicCon and they let me ask them questions so one of the questions I asked was what are you most excited for the fans to see from your character in season 2 here's what they had say well I think um yeah season 2 is about kind of forging alliances and um working together to try to destroy Sauron who's a threat an existential threat to everybody to the elves to the Orcs to dwarves everybody so um you know forging alliances with people when you are atar is not a very easy thing to do because you're not very popular so it's about finding ways to do that and it's kind of a lot of Mind Games cuz there's there's there's a lot of trust issues there uh so we have to work around them and see what we can do to help each other and you'll see that in various different forms yeah a lot of Adventure a lot of new things as well there's there's yeah I think there's a lot coming I I really enjoyed um showing the trailer that was really fun and like um seeing cuz we showed it in Hall h so seeing all of the people's sort of cheering at different moments of what they were excited about um but what I would say is that that trailer teased a lot but also held back so much there's so much more to look forward to um I feel like the danger is quite fun yeah but there's also light at the end of the tunnel somewhere well I'm going to be really selfish and say I'm really excited for them to see glug who is my character glug is uh our new or character for season 2 I've played been lucky enough to play a handful of orc characters through season 1 and season 2 but glug is our first orc with an arc that we're going to see he is adar's right hand orc one of his inner circle he's a fearsome Warrior um he's one of the leaders of the orc Army but what we're going to explore for the first time is seeing Orcs with what we might call a family or social structures and their responsibilities outside of the war and what effects that might have on the events that unfold and glo's relationship with Adar his orc father for example I'm excited for them to see Charlie being really evil um I think the Charlie relationships sorry kellor and Sauron um I'm really fascinated by it and it's kind of um yeah I love a baddie yeah who doesn't thank you so much thank you lovely to meet you I have a scene with Lloyd Owen that we worked really really hard on and I found out made it into the cut and so I'm very excited um it's a lot of family Dynamics coming to a head in one scene um and so I'm very excited about that one I think I'm really excited to see the the reunion of of baric his horse and a seal or I think there the it's his only companion in Middle Earth and there's something romantic about the two of them being together and I just think yeah seor just goes on this massive journey of Adventure and survival and it's a story of be careful what you wish for cuz I think in season one he was so desperate to leave the sunny shores of numor uh and now he is in a muddy perilous world of Middle Earth and he has to fend off spiders he has to fend off monsters and he has to also deal with a falling in love for the first time so there's a there's a lot he leaves he starts the season as a boy and then leaves a man well just the just the progression just the rest of the journey you know it it's a cannon we're all on a on a journey season 1 wasn't the end um and so we just pick up where we left off and you could like when you meet somebody you know it it might be a little bit like obviously you know people are saying oh well does it get darker was the same you know if we met each other you know it's like hello there the polite itties and then of course the more we get to know you might go oh I've about a hell of a day and you're going to tell me all about it and then things get darker and they get lighter and they get darker it's a roller coaster so we're just going to see more of that you know it's it's a very human element that you [Music] see thanks so much to the team at Amazon for including me in this and the cast for stopping by and having so much fun if you enjoyed this don't forget to hit the like button and And subscribe to the literary Hype YouTube channel for more bookish and pop culture content thanks so much for watching I'll see you next time [Music]
