[Music] hi and welcome to literary hype I am Stephanie your literary hype woman and today I'm hyping up a book-based show because this author that wrote this is Iconic and we're talking about tolken prime television brought many of the cast members from rings of power season 2 to San Diego ComicCon and they let me ask them some questions so one of the questions I asked them was token's work has been around for a very long time what is it about his work that transcends Generations decades all of that to still be so captivating in 2024 and what made them want to be a part of it here's what they had to say I think it's just Timeless there's something about him and his his words that just resonate through time and and I was thinking about this this morning actually I was like what what about it do I sort of what attracts me to talkling and I think it's this Universal theme of Hope and it's sort of the perseverance that a character someone that has to keep moving forward and onwards it's the light at the end of the tunnel and I think that is just such a beautiful romantic thing that I'm so attracted to in talking and I think that's why it's such a collectively inspiring world to exist and and and work in I mean it's it's just so poetic I think and it's just beautiful and I think the world that he created it's just incredible like it it's something that's completely beyond my imagination like it's just it's amazing and so to be able to put that onto a screen and to see those images is just is really amazing and it's just so nice that it's been really nice actually coming back to Comic Con and sort of meeting but also remating people who we met two years ago um and to really understand how much it resonates with people and I think that's the joy for me is seeing the Joy on other people's faces and how much love that is for them I think it's limitlessness he just has this vast unbridled almost unlimited imagination in his works and where his worlds end he leaves these openings for the readers for the fans to fill in their ideas you know the stories are kind of they're beyond just stories that he wrote they've become kind of myths you know they're kind of fables almost stories within stories you know that the fact that some of the stories are characters telling stories so there's just like depth to the world that I think draws people in and then once they get in people fall in love with all sorts of different Corners you know whether it's the elves the dwarves the Orcs the ants the creatures there's there's just something for everyone and I think primarily the thing that connects it all is that it's got so much heart it's ultimately these are fantasy creatures but they have emotions and feelings and experiences even the Orcs that we can recognize and relate relate to because it came from it's something that came from his soul from his being his Essence and he just put that on the paper and I think that's that's something to I don't know it's an inspiration it's to be admired and uh yeah you can you can learn from that you know there was just there was no end to his imagination and he he did it he fused it onto onto onto parchment then with I don't know with such detail that it's yeah it's it's it's it's it's inspiring so that's something to to aim for you know to just let go of your imagination and just really sort of be detailed in that as well yeah the themes are really Universal aren't they um I we read the aath every time we do something like this or like when we're working and stuff and uh that Parable I think is about fear and jealousy and I think everyone has an equivalent of what sailing west would be in their lives um and you can trans POS your own life onto like so many other story lines obviously I'm like a little numor brained um but yeah um I'm sure I'll keep finding things as I get older too season five rolls around I'll be like no actually it's about [Music] this thanks to the team over at Amazon for including me in these opportunities to talk to the cast and thanks to the cast for stopping by my camera and answering some questions I hope you enjoyed it if you enjoyed this don't forget to hit the like button and subscribe to the literary Hype YouTube channel for more bookish and pop culture content thanks so much for watching I'll see you next time [Music]
