afterburners kid tag and he ran away from the defense to take it in touchdown Ohio State what a way to start this game offensively you find the match up you like you put it in his hands and he does the rest the defense looks like they were sleepwalking out there to start this game one play they go the distance to score a touchdown this defense better way [Applause] Miami Z fielded In The End Zone it's Restrepo rolling the dice to bring it out of the end zone did not work out as he stopped at the [Music] 13 here's this offense with a fresh set of downs [Music] from the gun the running back has it navigates that massive bodies and gets four out to the 17 that's a really nice play it's impressive R it's first down and the defense thinks you might be running the football you still can line up you can get some movement at the point of attack and find a little free for your running back they'll go to the ground they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one great job by the defense everybody firing off the ball hitting their guys holding their gaps running to the football nowhere to [Applause] go they line up with some serious work to do if they want to convert this one on Third and long he's going to have to throw for it into double coverage and it's intercepted that kind of play can really get you going not only on defense but the great field position for the O at the 37 not in the start this kid was looking for very first pass of the day gets picked off this is a defense that's got a lot of ball Hawks on the back end he's got to be real careful with his eyes not Telegraph throws like he did right there he's going to have to settle in from the gun running back gets to give he got a bunch and look close to getting a lot more but he's got the first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs they're going to ride this running back gets it inside the 25 down to the 22 yd line with a pick up of four solid pick up of four on first down it's second and six [Applause] trying the left side he's brought down but not before they pick up the big first down that has got to be demoralizing if you're on defense because they just ran the ball right up the middle down your throats and they gashed you we On The Run it's Judkins going to work on second down in the red zone is still some ground to cover to pick up that first [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] down now they're going to throw it going for six throw to the end zone picked off and the offense makes the tackle in frustration after the interception Drive comes up empty and it's a turnover that is one the quarterback is going to want to have back it's touchdowns or it's check Downs once you get down to the Red Zone you can't get too aggressive and greedy trying to fit the football into small windows and as a result QB throws a pck they'll try the Run that's a good run to give them some Breathing Room pick up a three out to the five and the running back didn't get much there nice job by the defense you can tell they're focused in on this running back on this run game being physical getting knock backs and limiting his carries the give to the running back from the shotgun and after the stop that is going to put a bow on this first quarter on the [Applause] that's the end of the first one with the score Ohio State 7 Miami [Applause] 0 we've got this third down play to open the quarter wants to throw it's Ward fires to the big fella and not much doing there as that defense runs him out out of bounds a couple of yards shy of the first down marker but they've decided this is four down territory the offense still on the field they're throwing for it on fourth down makes a grab enough for the First turns out to be an easy conversion for this offense as they move the chains on fourth down and they're showing you their intentions early in the game it's fourth down you're in your own end we're going to be aggressive and we're not just going to do this early we're going to do this all game long awesome execution on a critical band they'll throw it on first down excellent coverage and good use of the hands to knock it away his defense is heating up they got an interception in the last possession you could tell breaking on the football really really well seeing where the quarterback's throwing it going to try to get it got another hand on it almost had another interception DB does an outstanding job here on the Deep pass locating the football no pi able to swat it away pass incomplete they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here on Third and long try to convert through the air and the incomplete pass will bring up fourth down it's so nice when you know it's third and long you know a pass is coming you worked on it all week get your feet set at the sticks understand that quarterback's got to be rushed get him off of his spot nice execution by this defense three straight misfires has left them staring at Fourth and 10 but they'll try it again he'll try to throw and pick up the first down looking to the big tight end makes the grab and it's plenty for the first down not much of a fourth down gamble when it's that much of a short see an easy conversion for this offense the clock has reached the two-minute Mark and they have a chance to at least cut into this lead before the break and the canes are on the Move wide receiver shows Motion One Man In The Back Field and he gets it not a whole a lot of room there three yards maybe second and seven and the Hurricanes looking to take advantage of this Red Zone trip they go to the ground he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three Indie Car tempo as they head to the line for this third down play clock [Applause] running looking to throw it's Ward throws to the tight end got it he's right out of bounds after the big game and they are in business first and goal really nice job there with the quarterback reading coverage he knew exactly where to go with the football and at what exact time the timing could not have been better they get the completion on third down setting up first and goal and now a chance to pull even as we get late here in the first half the snap sets up the throw Falls incomplete and he did everything perfectly except catch the football second down coming I love the coverage on defense in the Red Zone everyone's got their eyes on the quarterback and they're flying to the football and you saw that there on the incompletion they'll give it another shot on second and goal from the four he's looking to throw he's got takes it to the house touchdown Kan he'll try to tack on one [Music] more smashes it through for the p8 precise Relentless execution on that 13pl scoring drive and they CA the drive with a four yd touchdown pass caught inside the 20 chance for a good return nice job executing all of the assignments as they put a stop to that return at the 22 the Buckey roll that offense back out there that last possession a prime example Jesse of how things get condensed in the Red Zone hard to throw when the windows are smaller and that's what happens down here at the goal line David which this quarterback here just take accountability and ownership and come out here lead your off and move on like we needed points that's something that we can harp on we'll watch the take this week but now it's time to move on let's get another drive though back to pass it's Howard unloads it left makes a connection they make the stop but this passing game does some damage and they move the sticks with the first down clock stops momentarily for the first down they'll hurry to the line wide out in motion used the play fake now to throw unleashes one oh what a grab by the defense not a lot on the return but they can live with that as they got it at the 49 this is obviously not a great start for this quarterback here two interceptions already in this game he's got to do a much better job with his decision here comes the hurricane offense looking to gather a little more strength this could be a real turning point in the game they scored a touchdown they got a stop and now a chance to break the tie yeah this offense has got it cooking man and how about the defense great job getting that stop getting the football right back to the hot hand now this offense Palmer has a chance to take the lead you can see the offense too they understand the situation right now they were jonesing on the sidelines to get another opportunity to run back on the field they are ready to drive this ball and go score they got nothing on the last play it's second and 10 quarterback just flat missed him incomplete the defense was obviously ready for that play they've obviously been watching film they know that that pass play is one of the bread and butter plays this offense has so nice job defending it now facing a third and long from the 50 yd line from the gun wants to pass finds a tight end they make the stop but not before they do their work up top and pick up a first down and that's why QBs love their tight ends so much right especially when they're athletic cuz they make short throws turn into long games because of his ability after the catch it's so unique and special he is dominant in this offense and he goes down after making the grab picked up a few but he's still short of the first down marker quick timeout call by the offense after the play Miami yeah and you see running backs in today's football they play wide receiver basically for you but you got to find a guy that you can throw it to and you know he's going to catch the ball consistently little bit more to go after that last completion they'll try to pick it up on second down feeling some heat hit as he throws and that ball is picked off taking it the other way inside the 30 pass to T and he will roll into the end zone touchdown Buckey just one moment and all of a sudden the Fortune's turn you're in a position where you're about to give up points and now you flip that around and you put points on the board perfectly executed what do you do in an interception first guy blocks the intended receiver everybody else starts to form a wall where the ball's going nice blocking nice interception nice return for the touchdown [Applause] here he comes from inside his own five coverage team there to make the stop they avoid disaster and that's the end of the first half that's the end of the first half State 14i the Buckeyes will kick it away first and we'll start the second half and he'll bring it out of the end zone he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the [Music] [Applause] 18 and here comes that Miami offense back onto the field a big reason they find themselves trailing to start the second half those two turnovers in the first yeah and I think coaches will tell you the number one thing that you got to make sure to do is take care of the football you want to create explosives you want put up a bunch of yards but step one Jesse taking care of the football it just goes to show you how critical those mistakes are only two plays that's really what separates this team for potentially having the lead if they clean up the errors they've got a chance to win this game linebackers have such an amazing responsibility got to play run got to play pass how about this seeing the Run aggressively getting downhill and getting in the back field and making the tackle for a loss back to pass it's Ward using the back as a receiver on the screen they make the stop after the catch and still some work to do to pick up that first down and the kanes in the hurry [Applause] up why receiver now comes in Motion in the gun and looking to throw on third down and that pressure just engulfed him a sack for this defense and that's just a simple Blitz by the middle linebacker and he's able to win up front he sees the Gaff he's able to beat his block and get to the QB the offense waste no time getting the timeout call go well the upside is you could get a first down the downside is you could blow the game going for it inside your own 30 throws for the tight end and it's knocked away they'll give up the ball failing to convert on Fourth and those fourth down stops are so huge for momentum to turn the ball back to your offense great pass defense seeing the ball breaking on it swatting it down so the receiver couldn't make a play nice job by this defense they stop him just a link or two short of the first and man what they can do on second down here they'll give it to the back he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three well good call by the defense there they dialed up Blitz into that running play the linebacker able to make a [Applause] stop they need a conversion on Third and three to make the most of that great starting field position looking to throw for it throws to the wide out a strike downfield he'll be stopped just short of the end zone but they'll have it first and goal third down a lot of times it comes down to not necessarily who's the most open who do you trust the most yeah it's not about the x's and the O's it's about the jimmies and the Joe's and when my guys better than you and he takes it to the house touchdown Ohio State well just as you would expect that didn't
