[Music] welcome to Tuscaloosa Alabama Title Town some call it a moniker that many claim but this city lives thanks to the Alabama Crimson time what we have in store for you today a clash between a couple of SC teams that could have season long ramifications as we'll see the winners of three straight the Missouri Tigers taking on the winners of three straight the Alabama Crimson tie glad to have you with us for EA Sports college football I Davis David poock and Jesse Palmer with me in the booth guys we are ready to Tee It Up [Music] Alabama about to kick off to get this game [Applause] underway on the run from inside his zone five he was looking for the big return there but he'll go out of Bounds at the 28th [Music] [Applause] [Music] this crowd bringing an ear splitting welcome to their visitors a hand to the running back found that space and picked up six out to the 33 these guys have really performed at a high level in SEC play the task is to try to keep this groove going yeah when you start the season like this man this is exactly what you drew up win your conference be great in your conference get to the conference Championship I'm not putting the cart before the horse palmer but great start no doubt to win the SEC is a long road you know about that I know about that personally and they just got to take one game at a time they've done an outstanding job of doing that this year this crowd full throat splitting the eard drums and letting him know it's going to be a long day looking to throw it's cook and he got a hand in there knocked it away incomplete you just got to wonder too guys if the crowd didn't impact the offense they playing on the road on the first third down of this football game incomplete the idea here I think just putt it away and see if you can regroup cuz this environment is awesome Missouri will have to send out the pun team get the first one of the day out of there he ought to be fresh I only used him twice in that Victory last week [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] here's this offense with a fresh set of [Music] [Applause] [Music] downs looking to go up top on first down that's caught it's young he's brought down quickly minimal gain there still a bit short of the first down it's early in the game and as offenses try to get their Rhythm these easy completions are very important because that's what helps to get your feet underneath you as an offense and as a unit and hopefully as this game goes on they'll be able to rev up and get more aggressive taking shots trying to get a rhythm in the passing game now on second down they'll run it out of the shotgun they pushed it out to the 39 after picking up five I know this is an offensive line that has a ton of Pride they want to come out each and every game and really impose their will on the dline they got just enough push there on that run play to pick up the first they'll snap it from the 39 first and 10 he wants to throw the short hands it's CL good pick up there as he gets the first down and they'll Mark him at the 48 the transition of Alabama quacks over the years been fascinating from the dreaded game manager label to playmaker to playmaker to spread it out to Heisman winter I mean that's how much this offense has changed and evolved and they're going to be aggressive and they're going to score points in this New Age Era they make the stop right there good pickup and still short in the first down I like the decision by the quarterback here just get the ball out of your hands get it to your playmaker a lot of times he'll dance and make even bigger plays than he did here but it was still a positive game now on second and [Applause] short looking to throw it's milro back open in the middle Nowhere to Run nowhere to hide only a place to be tackled immediately this defense is going to have to be careful not only do they have to worry about this guy running the football but they've got to keep their eye on him when he runs routes too he is a versatile back a completion but not quite enough for the first down third down coming for this offense trying to pick it up on the ground moving deeper into enemy territory move the chain it's first down at the 27 and a great job by the offensive line you're going to run the ball right at the middle you better control the line of scrimmage you can see the center the guard the tackles doing a good job getting on their guys just enough where this running back can get into space and make the big game going up top on first down the short hands it's tail and those slot receivers nowadays don't go to water you can play Touch football in an elevator to lose to these guys because they're so quick and so Dynamic get open and catch the football got the completion on the last play still some work to do on second down the give to the back brought down to the ground but he has enough for the first down you've got to be loving what you're seeing from your offense here on the opening drive at this game they're in a really nice Rhythm they've got real good balance going on right now and they've got the defense on their heels Alabama with a first and 10 [Applause] here might as well give it to him again got some room headed to the goal line they'll finally get him stopped at the one yd line what a run there and already this guy is leaving his mark on this game opening drive backto back runs where he's found a way to get positive yards he was able to pick up the First on that last carry they should keep feeding him the football the more success they have it's going to open up the Play action game nowhere to run on that one he loses four on the carry so on offense you've got to find a way to put six up on the board you know that in this game field goals may not get it done so big time players make big plays in big games who can you rely on right now to get you a touchdown after getting nothing done on first down second and goal from the six they've been running it but now the pass can't make the grab as he was going for six right there you simply don't see that very often quarterback of this guy's caliber missing a guy wide open in the end zone he makes those throws in his sleep man the last thing you want after controlling the ball moving it down the field is to have to settle for a field goal attempt it's third and goal pre snap motion quarterback trying to get a read it's complete on the right side and he cruises his way to the house touchdown Crimson TI that was an absolute Sledgehammer of a drive just taking the air out of the ball and it's hard when you run that many plays not to make a mistake and throw an interception or get penalties and put you in a bad spot but the offense just strung play after play after play together and got the is and they pick up the extra point kick or knock it right down the middle lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown [Applause] Drive he'll start the return inside his five he's able to sneak his way across the 20 and steps out at the [Applause] 21 maou has it back in the offense coming out on the field the last time we saw this offense we had to look quick it was a three and out Jesse he just had no rhythm in that last drive so someone's going to have to step up and make a play David and get oh it's out oh look what I found the offense keeps it and those are so frustrating when you're a defense and you swung to the football and you stick the quarterback and you make him cough it up just to have the other team recover it again and you don't get it still a good stick still a good physical play keep hitting that [Applause] quarterback you want to talk about hearts in throats when that ball was on the ground the offense would coming it own fumble they'll run it from the gun they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one and that play shows you really what this defense is about it's a difficult one to attack they're really good one of the best in the country they come at you from all angles so I I'm interested to watch how do you mix up the play calling how do you keep the defense off balance cuz they are a good one timeout called here by the defense is the first one they've used this half they'll try to move the chains on Third and short from the 27 looking for a man it's cook takes his shot and that's a mistake you don't expect to see from a senior and he is lucky to get it back third and short like that on your own side of the field you're just looking for a quick hitter you're trying to get the ball out of your hand quickly but the timing completely off there for the offense and the ball Falls incomplete so Missouri will have to it away this will be the second time they've had to kick it away he only needs a sliver of daylight working his way on the return up to the 40 yd line before he stopped [Applause] [Music] [Applause] here comes that Alabama offense on that last Drive defense had no idea what was happening run or pass and that wound up in the end zone Jesse yeah you saw the experience in this offense that last drive too on that touchdown everybody on the same page these guys have reped these plays over and over in practice and in games and it's working baby yeah so I got to find a way to disrupt it I got to find a way to maybe be more aggressive maybe Blitz mess up this Rhythm they got going not a whole lot of progress made there on the short run and offenses want to continue to feature the Run they want balance even if it's not super successful you can take it little bit at a time just to keep that defense honest second down coming up he's looking to throw trying to escape and get it himself still on his feet at the 45 running for the tap that is exactly what you want to do with the football he's got it all the way down to the 15 yd line oh and you hear this Stadium erupting this crowd at home they're just waiting to feed off of an explosive play and they get one right there from their quarterback doing a tremendous job on the scramble outstanding individual effort and just a deciple level in this place has just gone up it feels like 10 F going to work on second down in the red zone is still some ground to cover to pick up that first [Applause] down the give is to Miller mark it off as a 6yd gain down to the 6yd line [Applause] that's the end of the first qu with SC Missi [Applause] [Applause] a third down play to open up this quarter let's go they'll try to run for it gets it inside the five down to the four and it'll be first and goal been really impressed watching this offense this year and how good they are on third down the reason they're so efficient they don't have penalties they keep these third Downs manageable and they've got a special talent at running back that can find his way to the sticks turning to the running game on first and goal into the end zone he goes touchdown tie follow the blocker the offensive lie will take you to the Hallelujah land and I tell you what most of the time Reese it requires a little bit of skill to find that hole and you know Slither through a little crack that was not a crack that was wide open didn't take a lot of vision cuz the blocking was outstanding and for a quick update let's go to Kevin Conor in the studio all right guys a little update on what else is happening in college football this weekend Arizona is ahead in this one this team plays a fun brand of football there in Tucson but they're a long way from closing this out they are up by just one over West Virginia just another week of college football where we've come to expect the unexpected fellas and how about that one Kevin will be keeping an eye on everything going on El [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Missouri has the offense ready to go on the field this is when the pressure can ramp up a little bit on an offense David when they start feeling the heat to answer a score and I think being down 14 you can kind of feel that way but dude if you put a good drive together this is a seven-point game so Paul are no need to panic just going to say David I mean this thing can flip quick you go down score all of a sudden your defense gets a stop or who knows better yet gets a turnover this game is entirely different and he runs through one tackle and picks up a few and the Tigers want to pick up the [Applause] tempo on Third and short they'll go to the power running game he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three well that play didn't stay a chance I mean nobody even blocked that guy and he's able to get the tackle for [Music] loss I know you want to keep the ball away from the other offense but going for it inside your own 40 on fourth down they'll try to throw it makes the grab it he's got the first and they reacted well to the completion but it was too late to keep them from getting the first down the definition of four down territory has changed over the last few years extended into their own territory there anywhere everywhere just look at the card right that card supposed to tell us what to do but n maybe I'll go for it anyways this offense took a little bit of a gamble but they get the first down nothing to worry about this creating some space getting just enough good blocking and they've got it up to the 47 yd line I know it's sexy to throw the football but if you can pound it away and get these kind of gains they will just add up wear the defense down get first downs and ultimately get some points wide out in motion from the shotgun they'll run it and a really short game before he gets a whole bunch of company from the defense and sticking to the run I tell you what a lot of teams that are really good are really stubborn and they continue to run the football even with little success so this offense is going to continue to focus on running the football you can tell pocket starts to collapse and he was hit just as he was releasing the pass and it falls to the ground incom complete and I like the aggressiveness on Third and short trying to throw the football take advantage of a look that they got they weren't successful and now it's Fourth and short turn who knows what they're going to do fourth down and the punt team sends it the other way really explo when he gets his hands on the ball and he found a couple of premices and made a nice game before being run out of [Applause] [Music] bounds the tied offense rolls onto the field they' jumped on them executing at a high level and up 14 nothing David this is the exact start you I the offense is playing great defense has gotten stopped you're in a position now Palmer to put the hammer down and get a three possession lead I'm really impressed with their physicality on both sides the ball early in this one they've been winning in the trenches so here on offense keep running the football and show your dominance didn't get much on first down it's second and nine back to throw it's milro oh he had it and he dropped did almost one of those big plays he's known for it'll be third down well they're leading by two possessions offensively and that could have been a gamechanging play right there that's a throw the quarterback would like to have back he's very lucky that was not intercepted they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here they'll move the running back to try to force the defense to adjust that pass is well off Target he got hit as he was trying to throw and they can't convert on third down yeah and you don't see that often right this guy is illegal he's one of the best in the business this is what he does for a living obviously it's why he gets paid millions of dollars yes nil is real so I I don't expect many misses from this guy like that and now the ball is knocked free defense falls on the ball going to be a turnover listen I love the individual effort by this pper Turner he's trying to make guys miss is trying to make a big play for his team but he cannot put the ball on the ground he just now gave the ball right back to the opponent after your defense forced [Music] toart here comes that Alabama offense they had to punt it away on their last possession but man what great field position this time I mean this is awesome like last possession didn't go great now you're set up in an opportunity to get some points start thinking about what plays I like Jesse as I cross the foi there are a lot of offensive coordinators out there David and in this position they like to take a shot right away and try and capitalize on this field position great job creating space that's what you're supposed to do when you get man coverage you got to find a way to get a step make it easy for your quarterback to read that leverage and when he drags across the field he can see had him he completes it for the first down Alabama trying to cash in on this Red Zone trip they'll run it in the Red Zone it's Miller able to get one down to the 15 oh man there's some big hitting going on in the trenches right now this defense they take a lot of pride in stopping the Run let's keep our eye on them throughout the course of the game and see if they can contain this running attack wants to throw on third down they'll run the screen and the defense able to drag him down but not before they'll recycle with that down marker really nice play call there because the defense might have been thinking on Third and short in the Red Zone they're probably going to run the football instead they throw it catch him off guard and now they've got first and goal Alabama comes to the line with a first and goal they'll try to get it in with the Run he steps and powers and works his way they finally get him down at the two yeah and a great job by the offensive line seeing the Blitz picking it up and then it's on the running back running back finds the hole gets a little bit of a crease makes a nice run they go right back to their man on second and goal they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one and with the stuff there Jesse on second down this little third to midrange you got two downs what are you thinking here maybe getting your quarterback out on the perimeter and giving him a run pass option see if you can get the defense in a bond what will the offense dial up on Third and [Applause] goal the playaction fake and the quarterback goes down at the 11 yd line referee signals timeout it's the defense wanting to make sure that they have everything just right with a big play coming that thing would have hit a spring in the middle of the upright perfect and that lead grows even bigger they keep pushing that lead out and the kickoff team's getting some work fielded In The End Zone it's Johnson and the returner will be knocked down [Applause] [Applause] missou has it back in the offense coming out on the field they've gotten nothing done so far and they already find themselves in a three possession hole Jesse yeah and as a head coach you're wondering what didn't I say what didn't I do to get my team ready to go because we look like we're sleeping blocking at this point nothing went well in the first quarter you just say refresh like let's try to find a way now chip into this lead try to make it somewhat manageable when you get to the half it's incomplete and he's lucky to get that one back almost intercepted oh that hit him in a bad spot right in the hands great play you still get a pass break up but man that could have been an interception by the defender there nice break on the football but secure that big F get the six get the pick six now on Third and 10 if they can move the chains here maybe they can get this drive started dropping back it's cook pressure coming he took a hit as he threw it and couldn't deliver the football it's incomplete and fourth Down's coming oh you know what time it is when the defense gets that stop on third down fist up in the air nice job getting to the quarterback putting some pressure on him hitting him for for in the incompletion fourth down baby Missouri will have to send out the punt team he's going to try to flip the field with this one slips through the line and the punt team able to sling him to the ground we've reached the two-minute warning and they will try to build on what has already been a dominant first half performance [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] the tied offense rolls onto the field always good to get points on a drive David but Chip Shot field goals can leave you a little empty and I think it's great to get points but the great teams get touchdowns in the red area you got to get out there this time and execute a little better on this drive you're absolutely right David generally the best Red Zone offenses are the ones that run the ball the best so let's see if they can be a little bit more physical on this [Music] drive after the incompletion it's second [Music] down the receivers often will run their route based on a side adjustment getting some heat One Step W two-step squeeze this junior no knows how to get him on the ground well great job there by the defense because they weren't able to get him sacked right away but you saw the coverage in the back end no the quarterback to throw the football didn't get the sack obviously you don't get the negative play but you also don't give up a big one you're feeling pretty good about where you are right now in this drive on Third and long he's going to have to throw for it gets it out fast finally run out of bounds but he has this offense rolling with a first down it's all about critical downs and distances on defense you want to be great unit defensively you've got to be good on third down and in the red zone for this defense giving up a third down like that that is just a gut punch to the air it's milroad they're trying to get to it the quarterback scrambled around but the defense able to scramble him and turn it into a sack we we knew coming into this game this defense had some matchups they felt really good about up front and they W one right there getting to the quarterback creating a negative play and they're going to need these guys to start winning more of those because they are finding themselves in a hole here early in the game they'll throw it to the back on the screen they make the stop but not before he takes a chunk out of what they need to move the sticks he didn't get a big gain you you want to call that play and probably want to get more yards but you could tell that was super close from seriously busting loose nice job running the screen getting the ball to your playmaker if he could just make one more guy miss that might have been [Applause] huge on Third and long tried to convert through the air coming after him and the defense is there to stop him short of the first down you know what Rees it is a great play and I think they were in nickel so they brought an extra guy on the field that has some speed take a linebacker that's a little bit slower off the field and you could see it pay dividends on that third down here's a Timeout on the field tight game here late in the first [Music] half and for the second time tonight they'll Trot out the field goal kicker he's going to have to get into this one a little bit from 47 y yards away never a doubt right down the middle and now the lead is extended a little clur so they put the field goal on the board and about to kick it away and hoping that'll be the final points of this first half the ball squirts through the end zone that'll be a Touchback they'll bring it out to the 25 [Applause] the offense set for a first down play wasting no time throwing on this drive catch inside the 25 and he'll haul it in and take it to the endzone touchdown Tigers man nice job getting the pass game going th this is big man going to the half and listen I know you're trailing but building some momentum maybe this second half we can keep airing the football out cutting into this deficit and who knows what the heck will happen and the point after is good that kind of Drive will boost your confidence One play hit the big pass put a touchdown on the board trying to get back in this game with that last score it's a 13-point game as they're set to kick off no return coming he'll call for the fair [Music] catch just a few seconds remaining here as they try to put something up before halftime let's [Applause] go give to the running back and they'll bring him to the ground after a short gain that's going to wrap up the first half here and now we join Kevin with the halftime update theama the Tigers will boot it away to start the second half and it'll come out to the 25 no attempt at a return [Music] [Applause] [Music] here comes that Alabama offense they start this third quarter with the lead but they might want to think about Shoring up that protection yeah the good news is you're you're leading on the scoreboard the bad news is your quarterback doesn't feel like it cuz you can't protect him so David adjustments in pass protection that has to be something they were talking about here at half time 100% just you can't get him hit that much he's still doing a good job stop delivering the football but if you keep hitting the quarterback enough man they'll start to see ghost they'll panic and they'll make some of those mistakes halfway there on first down it's second and five leaves it with the back they'll Mark him down at the 40 after ripping off 10 no surprise I mean with the way they're running the ball early in this game they're just going to keep doing it and they're just not hammering out two three four yd gains they're gashing this defense you saw it right there to the air it's milro trying to get to it this time they were able to keep him in check and stop him short of that first down well you're making a positive out of a negative and that time quarterback nice job buying time he's trying to throw the football downfield nothing there so instead of throwing it away getting the incomplete just get what you can get and make this next down more D quarterback changing the plays at the line off play action that pass is incomplete and they're probably fortunate that it wasn't knock free for a fumble and you must do that against the guy of this caliber this kind of QB will absolutely pick you apart you got to get hurries you got to get pressures and when you can get hits and make them feel the physicality of the game maybe you can take that guy and knock him down a few notches right on target this time he's got enough to move the chains and they'll spot it at the 47 Alabama Rolling quick ly downfield set up with another first down easy they'll try the run and they drag him down but not before he picks up the first down this is going to be a big key for him David with the lead here in the second half running the football right staying on the field and bleeding the clock yeah run the football you're ahead you can be a little bit more conservative but again this opens up the pass this keeps everything in balance for this offense productive four ydd gain there on the ground as he gets it down to the 31 you know it's so important for offense is to want to keep third Downs management the way you do that is by having success like that running the football on first down after the productive first down play it's second and six a little pre- snap eye candy for the defense stop is made at the 22 a 10yd pickup and a first down just outside the Red Zone and this offense has got it all working right it's just been tough this this defense is on its heels can't figured out a bunch of plays in a row now bunch of success this offense is doing what they want to do how they want to do it defense is going to need to do something different to try to and the rush will get to him at the 25 if it works they tried to follow up the big run with a pass and didn't work out for them now how about a good job by the defense you know sometimes when you when you give up runs you get more aggressive you want to bring more guys to the line of scrimmage and you want to overreact the defense stayed calm stayed true came up with a big headed to the end zone touchdown B hold it in and just kept right on running to the Hallelujah land they've extended the lead and taken control here in week nine one of the reasons this offense is so exciting to watch they've got guys that are dangerous after the catch and if this quarterback gets through his progression David hits you in stride these guys will take it to the house man it's your job to do the rest right you hit me in stride where I don't have to stop running I don't have to break down it makes it so easy the connection between quarterback wide receiver you can tell this is a good one and that's why they got six on that almost ready to kick it away after scoring the touchdown that one bouns through the end zone and it'll be a [Applause] [Applause] Touchback Missouri has the offense ready to go on the field there's certainly still a hill to climb but they've got to make sure these drives pay off got a touchdown last time can they back it up here well and it's amazing in a football game how sometimes they'll surprise you he hurls one deep down the left side what a snag by the defense taking it the other way and they'll drag him down after a good return on the interception looks as if we have an injury on that last play and we'll take a break to check him [Applause] out first down here for the offense from the gun they'll try to impose their running game it's just so nice to know you can start off on first down with positive plays positive yards hand the football off set up a get second down after the three- yd pickup they come to the line Second and seven oh so close to paying off the tip drill he had it in his and but it bols incomplete well this defense knew coming in they were going to see some RPL and they were going to see some quick game a nice job there taking the throw away from the quarterback now trying to keep this drive alive on Third and long from the 45 cut cut cut on the run it's young they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one and that's a great play by the defensive end the best athletes on the field play defensive end you can ask anybody yes I agree Jesse ree see they agree with me same thing but you watch them get off the football make the play that's why you put your back fourth down and the punt team sends it the other way and the punt will hit at the one just a little too far for them to be able to down it it'll be a Touchback and come out to the 20 [Music] Bou has it back in the offense coming out on the field well let's see if this drive goes better than the last one they were in and out quickly after the quick pick David yeah first play big mistake man now let's get this offense in a little bit of a rhythm maybe before you open it up again Palmer or you trust him right away uh he seems to me like the guy maybe that just needs to kind of get into the flow of the game so maybe you get the running game going here and just give him some easy looks to let him get Lou that got three on first down it's second and seven movement here from the tight end looking for a man it's cook fires to the middle incomplete and he threw that one up for gron into traffic and fortunate to get it back and this offense has got to find a way to get some gimmies some layups some some screens they need some Yak some yards after the catch they got to find some guys that can make some plays for this offense because it's just Boomer bust there's not a lot of consistency they got to put some first downs together put some Drives together be more consistent feeling some heat that pass not close as he got drilled trying to deliver it and it'll bring up fourth down and finally the defense is able to get some pressure on this quarterback theyve been trying all game long different ways to affect weren't able to get there but on that play because of the pressure it affected his accuracy and that's why the ball Falls [Applause] in yet another punt on the way got to make sure that hamstring stays loose he's been busy makes a move just a wall of Defenders everywhere he looks and he's guided out of bounds after a short return the tied offense rolls onto the field there have been few obstacles for this offense as they are starting to pull away here in the second half Jesse and this has been a dream game for this play caller too and it's like anything that he's calling is working flawlessly yeah it's fun to be the offensive coordinator but not the defensive coordinator they have had no answers it's been an absolutely miserable day trying to Solve the Riddle of this offense slammed to the ground but not before he gets the first down I love him play players understand situations and they understand where the first down marker is and they understand where I got to get to a lot of people you'll see run north south and try to bounce out wide and make big plays sometimes it's not about making big plays sometimes it's about getting that first down to make sure I get an extra set of downs instead of trying to make those big touchdown runs it's a really nice looking throw this dude is a weapon in this offense at the quarterback position it's so funny you know I think back to guys like breake maroy and AJ McCarron guys that may or may not have unfairly been tabbed as game managers and then you think of Jaylen Herz Tua and Bryce young in recent years and just how Dynamic and versatile these guys were at the position and how they've really helped take this offense to the next level watching this guy reminds me a little bit of that that was a really nice catch and an even better run after the grab yeah and get the ball to your playmaker what's good about having him in the slot is he can go either direction you can get him matched up on somebody that's not as fast and you watch he can run away from those lines backward sa theyve moved it forward to the two now it's second and goal tries again to get it in they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one man and that's a frustrating play when you go in reverse near the goal line go to go situations Palmer you got to get those positive yards you can't go backwards if you're trying to get a touchdown you know I'm trusting in my quarterback here to make the right decision looks like we're going to have to throw it right but if it's not open just throw this thing away you don't want to take a sack lose extra yardage here just be smart with the football that's the end of the third quarter of play the score Alabama 27 Missouri [Applause] 7 got it they'd love to start this this quarter off with a touchdown right here 29 Philly 29 Philly quarterback on the keeper touchdown Alabama and The Stomping has commen they give themselves a little more cushion as they try to reel off their fourth straight win this coach wanted to be absolutely certain on a challenge he was right the previous play will be overturned and this field goal team has been busy this kicker comes out for the third time tonight it's good he could have hit a string right in the middle of the uprights there and they'll push that down a little further [Music] that lead just keeps getting fatter in this kickoff team doing a little running and he takes this from inside the five not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 Missouri has the offense ready to go on the field last time David it was one two three kick the last drive that three and out sometimes that puts your defense in a bad spot and he wants to take the top off and they can't make the connection going for a big play on first down and it's just that that kind of day for this quarterback in this offense guys they have never been able to get into a rhythm throwing the football timing's been off accuracy hasn't been great we've seen some drops just not in sync and that's why they find themselves trailing by a lot right here late in the game looking to pass it's cook unloads to the wide out connection to the right and he was loose and in the open field and on his way a tremendous pick up on that one I'll tell you you cannot count this team out because of who's playing quarterback when this guy's in the game it's never over yeah they're trailing here in the fourth quarter trying to burn this defensive back and this is dropped incomplete pass he had a huge gain in his fingers and he couldn't hold on well they take a shot down the field it's another incompletion it's really been that kind of story this defense has made this guy earn it every single play really small Windows to throw into one touchdown pass that's a little bit surprising and they got him he'll get him down for the sack it's pretty obvious this defense came into this one knowing they were going to have to play a complete game until there were zeros on the clock especially against this quarterback you cannot take your foot off the gas and that's exactly what they're doing here late in the fourth quarter they're still bringing it and they get another sack on Third and long he's going to have to turn one loose downfield and the defense gets loose bringing the Heat and down he goes again and this defense came to play they know about the high-profile QB they Rose to the challenge and dominated the competition today they took care of business and they made no doubt about who's the better football team down in the fourth quarter it's too late for empty possessions they'll go for it on fourth [Applause] down he'll try to throw and pick up the first down the incomplete pass ends a frustrating series and they turn it over on Downs there's not many play calls she to score a bunch of points really quickly so you got to go for it here I I like the aggressiveness but this offense continues to miss the mark and they just got to score more points they got to do better right Palmer that's expert analysis they got to do better they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one man down on the play as the officials take a break to let him be checked out didn't get much done on that first play of the drive it's second and 11 from the gun they'll try the middle productive four yd gain there on the ground as he gets it down to the 31 they line up with some serious work to do if they want to convert this one easy to throw it's milro receiver looks it in it's complete and his mullers are probably rattling after that big hit but he did get the first down you got to give the o line a lot of credit there because it gave the receiver time to work all the way across the field on the drag route against Zone coverage quarterback gets it to him he's able to turn it up and get a first down from the gun running back gets to give they make the stop but you can't give up four yds a chunk on the ground down in this area of the field it's at the 18 solid pick up a four on first down it's second and six moving the running back trying to get the D to tip its hand the pull and throw off the RPO stopped after making the catch this quarterback right now is in a Groove he's doing a nice job in pre-nap he's reading the coverage and he's getting an idea of where he wants to go with the football that's why the ball's coming out of his hands so quickly that's why he seems like he's in a great Rhythm right now boy they'd love to move the sticks here and take a shot at it on first and goal and the defense is swarming to keep him from getting to the first down well the defense got the stop there on Third and one let's see if they can do it again here on Fourth and inches David I just got to find a way to fall forward be physical we work on this all week you know you're going for it on four game this kicker's leg is getting a workout he's already made three field goals and here he comes again it's good and that will extend their lead even further we check in with Kevin Connor what's going on Kevin guys right back to your game after we update the nation on this one Kansas State was able to squeak one out in front of those home fans in the little apple in fact I think in the end the difference may have been those kstate fans who will enjoy this win 60 Minutes of football and a convincing outcome and touchdown Crimson time they push out that lead a bit and draw much closer to a win here in wheat n dude this you didn't think it could any worse right you thought this game's over as it is anyways offense still throwing the football still trying to make plays and the defense just continues to pour it on gets the pick makes its way all the way to the end zone they'll kick it off and send that defense right back out there to try to score again after the pick six coming out with it it's Johnson he gets a block just an outstanding return there and really sets up his offense nicely all right guys so here's the offense back on the field again fast motion from the offense he'll come out throwing on first down fires one high and deep grabs it at the 25 in stri touchdown tigers and once he got loose it was all over number one once the game reaches this point you start thinking ahead and how you can find something positive to take into the next game dang right keep the offense role and try to find some plays that I can use throughout this season that I can have some more success or I guess have success I haven't had a lot of success today but I'm looking for the future and he puts through the extra point that makes the score about to kick it off after punching it in for the touchdown number 19 set to kick off and they desperately wanted to attempt a return but decided not to instead they'll take the Touchback here comes that Alabama offense they had this thing in a hammer lock at halftime and now they are really ratcheting up the pressure David and I tell you what this offense doesn't have to change a thing pmer they've done what they wanted in the first half and starting off the second half in the same fashion and I like how they're letting different guys get involved too they've got so many different playmakers all over the field hand off from the gun that's what you expect from a senior don't give them any extra yards great tackle there kept it on the ground last time let's see if they go back to it on second down wants to throw it's milro that pass is incomplete and they might be fortunate it wasn't knock threee for a fumble it'll be third down I'm not positive but that first down marker might be in the next County and he want that clock to run on the move is the 30 nothing but green ahead at the 30 he's at the 10 touch down TI and the beat down has ensued they give themselves a little more cushion as they try to reel off their fourth straight win lining up to tack one more onto that lead and with that extra point the lead remains in the gargantuan category quick strike offens on that three playay scoring drive and he capped things off with an 884 yd thrilling race to the end zone about to kick it away after scoring the touchdown he'll bring it out it's Johnson he doesn't get it back to the 25 he's out of Bounds at the 21 yd line [Applause] [Music] Missouri has the offense ready to go on the field they torch this defense with an explosive passing play for a score last time out let's see if they go right back at him looking deep and he's picked off again his night vision hasn't been up to speed his third interception not only made the pick but he also made up some ground and took it back to the 38 and as a defensive linean late in the game man when you know it's pass you're pinning your ears back trying to get to the quarterback and DBS are trying to do this had them stats get the int nice job by this def line gets set first down leaves it with the running back able to scr three yds out of that one somehow it's second and seven small gain I know but again the defense knows he's going to run the football he's willing to run the football not just drop back and pass make him onor the Run game you got to do a lot of this and it looks as if the offense will just take a knee I'm not really sure what the thought process here is other than just trying to troll them by not running a play a third and long coming up here and the offense is content with where it is they'll take a [Applause] knee and they're going to head out to line up for a field goal and he's going to have to get into this football this is a 53 yd [Applause] attempt good right down the Boulevard and they just tack on a little more to this gargant and Lead they're really starting to extend that lead as they get ready to kick it away again here he comes from inside his own five he's got great speed and the returner runs out of real estate as he goes down [Music] kazou has it back in the offense coming out on the field this has been a really disappointing performance David no question about that but they can find some positives yeah and every time you watch the tape you know Jesse coaches are pointing out look at this this was open if we have just ran the details to the right route hung on to the football little things can make a big difference yeah that's why they call it a game of inches David but I'll say this if you're on offense don't go on social media this week it ain't going to be pretty after this performance you got to lock in you got to take the week of practice very seriously and find those positives that you can build off D your talking picked up two yards on that last one they need eight on second down out of the gun they give to the back a strong tackle and wrap up from the Junior and and I think this offense is all but surrendered right like they're they're down so much they need to be throwing the football if they want to score a bunch of points to get back in this game but they got find something moving forward man this was a rough day this was not a great offensive performance they got to bounce back the next opportunity the next moment cuz today o it was not a good day for the fourth time tonight it's an interception he was looking for that big return to go with the pick but he'll set him up in business set 36 heat up them pass rushers bringing them DBS that's what I'm doing in this situation when I got the lead by a couple scores late in the ball game in the fourth quarter I'm going to rush the passer like crazy I'm going to put all those DBS back playing the pass that's what happened great job understanding they're going to have to take shots we get the interception this one's almost over this is what you're looking for when you have the better team go out and show it don't fool around with them go out and play to a standard of Excellence just dominant you know you're going to take care of business you know you're going to win it's it's it's like how many how many can I win by and I like that you keep your foot on the gas and just continue to pile it on it's their job to stop you let them do their job you just keep going on it's not about the x's and the O's it's the jimmies and the Joe's this is why recruiting is so important in college football they just had better players more physical they were faster and it showed today so that's going to do
