Reis joined in the maybe he'll quit the Sun Devils will kick it away to start us [Applause] off Dam cow [Applause] bills return so the Mississippi State Bulldogs offense will get the first swing of the game starts with that grown man what I really like about him too is he's versatile right he can carry The Rock he can catch the football he's good at blocking this guy stays on the field for a reason didn't get much done on that first play of the drive it's second and [Applause] 11 and that's going to fall to the ground incomplete that leg hopefully it St good they line up with some serious work to do if they want to convert this one I love the quick decision that QB made there on that RPO knowing he wanted to get it out of his hands fast just stop Mississippi St will roll out the and this is why you don't want to get in these situations third and long defense knows its pass they're playing past playing deep QB has nowhere to go with the football so he just throws it away and if they would have let him get away he had 99 speed their first possession as we take a look at our impact players for this game David let's see to make an impact from your leaders your leaders not only have to lead the football team but they got to step up and make plays on the field keep everybody keep going really good job yeah David and they also generally set the tone for their respective football teams regardless of which side of the ball they play on the teammates look towards them to step up in big games like this really nice stop there from this going keep it on the ground thir motion from the offense on Third and short trying to impose their will and move the chains there we go nice job to pick up the first down and they'll spot it at the 42 man that was a good run but it was almost even better great job by the offense keep the running game going you get big chunks Like This Not only was that a big chunk it also looked like it could have gone for more makes the grab it's dawk yes sir one thing and the r even better a big pick up that big play in the passing game there and I like the receiver gearing down in the Z did a nice Jobing builds are [Applause] [Music] the extra point was good to finish things off almost ready to kick it away after scoring the [Applause] touchdown he'll start return inside five there we go not a lot of to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 the Mississippi State off headed back to the field to go to work the last time we saw this offense we had to look quick it was a three and out Jesse they just had no R last drive so someone's going to have to step up and make a play David and get this thing going yeah let's find some juice find your guy find those plays that you know you can run inside out forward backwards get some first downs get some positive momentum that's caught it's Davis bounced off his that's a great play by the off that play essentially of a you're running exra to theimer of field so now can and they'll try to drive ahead on Third and oh he barely got it understand situations and they understand where the first down marker is and they understand where I got to get to a lot of people you'll see run north south and try to bounce out wide and make big plays sometimes it's not about making big plays sometimes it's about getting that first down to make sure I get an extra set of downs instead of trying to make those big touchdown runs put it right on him sweet good pick up and they'll move the change with the first down Mississippi State driveit on all cylinders they'll ride Davis here get him on the ground how Lan is still lagging bad honest they go right back to it and they try the middle of this St defense andise to the challenge all right job by the defense being St that's your job be Stout up front stuff in the Run play make them get in more passing situations but do not let them run the football that's 101 stop the run first you got to have him you got to have him oh if it's just frames that's not that's not too bades such aob with his out he's patient and he's consistent and he's got good hands you don't see him put a lot of balls on the ground nice job there picking up the first down hey five to six yards a pop I don't know if you guys are really good at that but that usually equals a first down every couple carries so don't forget just easiest completions ever for quarterbacks Palmer I bet you would have loved being able to just Flip It Forward that counts as to your completion percentage which is good and then it's all the catch easy for Q you wouldn't have been the only all in this Bo D if I were allowed to it's holding my guy I tell you that it is so hard to defend it's so hard to seal that edge especially when this guy's Full Speed Ahead coming around the one side Mississippi State to the line with a fresh set of downs as well give it to him again an attitude run as he's dragged down after a pick up of down to the 14 running out my [ __ ] throat counter play is a great play to mix in because defensively you're not looking for the counter you're looking to attack attack [Applause] ATT all right let's got to keep him here lining up to convert third down from the gun wants to pass unloads to the wide out no Mississippi State and they made it to the that's all good running back down their throat extra point with no problem precise Relentless execution on that 13pl scoring drive and they closed the deal with a 16 yd throw for the touchdown here he comes from inside his own [Applause] it's all good D we going to come back state has the ball back and the offense making it way onto the field after standing on the sideline and watching that long touchdown Drive they really need to put something together to give their defense a rest and that's a real thing man like you played a lot of plays you get worn out you need a chance to Dam cow bill is the most annoying thing on this game yeah this is the football cuz it's a two-prong problem you've got to score points and answer you've also got to take your time and give your defense an opportunity to get their win time winding down in the quarter as they come to the line on Third and long try to convert through the air he gets the job picking up the first down then getting down run it with the QB winning out it's been punch counter punch throughout the early part of this game as we take a look at the first quarter [Applause] stats they'll break the seal on this quarter here on first down he's going to pass caught in the back field it's Atkin they stop him almost immediately short gain there still a little ground cover pick up he's slow but he's a 91 tight end has a chance to run a little and a really good job by the QB throwing an accurate thr I got to hit those guys on the Move On The Run so they can do this they can catch the football get up field and chew up some extra yards well it's a nice play design there you're getting the running involved in thearter gives it himly so he can go to Feld and get the first yes it is I don't know how that play worked a of from the defense and here comes the offense on second [Applause] down looking to throw grab back the def let him even though it's a they lost yard that receiv looking at his teammates like guys what's up you're not going to block for me on the screen seriously I just lost yards on a screen play how does that happen trying to move the sticks on third down through and oh my God he made it after a that shows a lot of poise and a lot of experience by that guy there now thinking to himself hey on Third and long I'm going to have to throw and make a really good throw here to go get oh thank God not my guy I was about to say my thought I was about to sa my half back was hurt 22 first and leaves it with the back you'll take four yard on first down every time second and six oh yeah oh yeah they'll throw it no I don't [Applause] throw that's why I don't throw on the great return to improve this field position never a good time for a turnover but it always seems a little worse when you're about to knock on the door of the end zone no doubt about it and it's this area of the field greas where your execution really has to be great because down in the Red Zone the windows to throw into for a quarterback were smaller and they close a lot quicker so you really have to be on the same page as your wide that the oh my God he got me on it finally catch up to him but not before a big chunk of yardage is picked up defense going to jam these receivers right off the line free snap Motion in the back field they'll try the Run Relentless tough running gets it down to the operating in the Red Zone here on second down off the play fake get him back thank [Applause] God really has to sell the fake he can't tell his offensive lineman's getting beat right away while he's selling the fake he had no shot third and he'll throw it I'll take a field goal well two great plays in a row by the defense and if I'm on the coaching staff offensively David I'm starting to wonder okay how can I protect my quarterback do we need to move the pocket change the launch point do I got to get the ball out of his hands quicker because right now I'm fine with that your line a lot of you see DV if I just don't throw I would be better but I got to throws two big sacks really get this off going the wrong direction is going back on offense and they come out looking for a spark forced out of the pocket there he goes there he [Applause] goes first down there's a timeout ases to find a way to draw a little closer comes out throwing on first down quick comption you don't you don't tell my quarterback what to do he's a man timeout here late in the first half and they'll try to get more points on the board before the break quarterback checking off on second down wants to throw it quickly out to the tight end they'll immediately always nice to have that security blanket of the tight ass and it's nice to have a tight end that can line up in different areas of the field too it's not always going to be in a three-point stance he can sometimes be in the back field you can flex [Applause] no well all got to gos to fire on second down he unor a bullet to the right imagine incomplete he took a shot on the final play of the quarter and couldn't quite find his man the Bulldogs will try to KCK this one deep to get things underway in the second half that was my fast guy the returner will Feld it and try to set up Fi not fast enough by theage team and they at the 21 Arizona state has the ball back in the offense making it way onto the field first play from scrimmage and they'll keep it on the ground oh just make it through like this David every possession is magnified and I think more than anything it just gets frustrating and you got to put that behind you you got to see what this defense has been doing to be so successful pmer now use it against him yeah David I think for a play caller this is tough right it's like you have to have the perfect play on just to get a first down in these types of games I think you're just trying to get guys out in space see if a dude can break a tackle maybe that generates an explosive play and it breaks this trend yeah they read that [ __ ] the defense wouldn't let lose there and it was a completion but they lost yardage they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here on third down he drops to throw just as he was releasing the passs ground not great I'm falling apart line up to it first time we've seen their punt team this afternoon it'll go out of bounds and we'll see where they mark it it's going to be right around the 35 here comes the Bulldog offense back onto the field the sledding has been tough scores have been at a premium Jesse and every possession seems like it could switch the momentum of the game yeah re for this offense just feels like they just have offensive coordinator David he's having to go deep into the Playbook just to try to generate a first down and the good is there's not a ton of game pressure cu the other side's not scoring the [ __ ] was that get that one play and then maybe you get those juices going something can start [Applause] [Music] to they'll keep it on the ground there's just so def we we can come back now counter know offense can work in the play action off of all these base runs too so much offensive volume this defense needs to worry about I wish they'd fumble one [ __ ] Time shadow of the goal post trying to defend their own End Zone from the gun he'll try to throw he thank you fires traffic off goes out of but he just did it himself Saed and this saf is a ball hwk he's aaker not only have we seen him get involved in the running game and make tackles playing down field but he plays the center field position as well as anybody in college football you saw it right there they'll run it from the gun at the 40 there he goes oh stay in and what the do alwaysed that's not even I wanted by right Edge and now what does this do this makes cornerbacks come up and Tackle safeties come up and Tack as opposed to line he could have shed one more you get your guy out in space where he can use his speed and his physicality against guys that usually cover and don't come up and make tackles after the productive first down play it's second and six [Applause] they go to the ground tackled at 31 that's that's fine it's the emmo of this offense and they really put a lot on the offensive line to go out really trying to establish their dominance and their assertiveness and they've done a good job of that early in this game running the football offenses gain momentum with third down conversions like that they've got it at the 25 and the sundevils are flying down the field and the and after the prev the shot hand off to the there he goes I'm just going to keep on feeding them boys set of [Applause] downs they're getting this guyed up should have went out not to lose on that able toed it back to the Line ofage This is a defense that we know takes T of Pride that's where and end you're right I am wearing them out not last give to Brown oh yard sometimes for the defense it just takes one play right to create some momentum obviously this guy's been eating him up he's got over 100 yards rushing on the day finally David they get something positive here in the Run game defensively but you all we got to hit this how hard is it the [Applause] snug it in the drive and it's a deadlock here in the third quarter after the field goal after that lat answer tied things up just kick that's not what I wanted to do needed to pick up an extra block or two but as it is 2 they drive from the 28 yd line the toss to the right how's he not hurt yet I've hit him so hard so many times ofter oh he just Jed the [ __ ] out of my guy and they make the tackle but it'll be enough for a first down and we'll see if they get another playoff here in the third what a ride it's been through the first three quarters of this game we are all tied up let's check out some stats here they come first and 10 from the 48 wide receiver now comes in motion with Jet Sweep pass he is stopped behind the line of scrimmage they'll lose yards on that one last play was a near disaster now dealing with second and 13 from the gun they'll try to impose running game that's what keep on holding them baby keep on holding them yard here thatp of can really you a shot of momentum fires to the wide oh he's just a little too slow I had it [ __ ] red L well how about the offense setting that play up we've seen earlier in the game a couple shorter throws just trying to suck those safeties closer to the line of scrimmage anticipating that they would get an opportunity to take a shot they called the perfect at oh my God just hike it running the whole damn clock out and I don't think they got a snap before the play ran out I'll take [Applause] that that is aely avoidable peny the into brain of clock a first down for the off used the play fake now to throw excellent coverage and good use of the hands to knock it that was [ __ ] weird man unun we've beening that all game long really really good defense or listen you can spin on the other side this offense has really been bad fly getting set on second they got a delay of gameing to [Applause] throw he got they just didn't hike the ball on God delay of game another inco and I've said that a lot and these teams are just struggling I mean the offense just doesn't know what to do nothing's working ground game Throw game it's kind of been a fight on both sides drop it thank God could cat defense brings up a fourth down and now on fourth down they will put it on the shoulders of the kicker to save them with his foot Miss damn it that's [Music] fine I have noidea to kick it [Applause] away on the run from inside is a littley state is going back on off and they come out looking for a spark always good to get points David but Chip Shot Fields leave you a little I think it's great to get points but teams in the I'm trying man I'm trying a little better on this drive you're absolutely right David generally the best Red Zone offenses are the run the ball let's see if they can be a little bad Read Bad read get your shoulder in there on the catch point and really make give him something to think about phally jar that football and knock it out nice job by oh my [ __ ] God now such a situate it is plenty of time but you got have up you feel there the defensive end crashed down thinking the running but nice job the handling y just trying to avoid negative plays continue to put stress on the defense that's what he does there wide open I can still I can still got it I can still do it I just got to return this kick the page about to kick it away after scoring the touchdown he'll take the return try to get better field position we got three timeouts Boys Still Still gooda state has the ball back and the offense making it way onto the field we'll see if that failed fourth down in their own end last time David sort of curbs some of the aggressiveness well you hear about it all the time in football go for it be aggressive he's got bodied yeah we do got to score [Applause] quick on they'll the it oh there it is he still got it they me to use the time out there but I had to throw found enough room to get it into enemy territory there down at the 43 yd line the Sun Devils come to the line with a new set of [Applause] downs looking to move it through the air throws to the wide out a strike down fi he get out and he was loose and in the open field and on his a tremendous pick up on that one from the gun the running back tries to hit the hole and he'll make his way out of bounds after the solid pick up man down on the play as the officials take a break to let him be checked [Applause] out going to work in the Red Zone they can pick up the first down without getting it into the end zone motion by the back forces the defense to adjust there we go there we go [Applause] theallu the [Applause] Qui boys how do you all Squid kick and ons kick anybody know come up big and get me the rock back [Applause] it hope to get that thing bouncing around but the is able to Coral it here comes the Mississippi State offense ready to attack now we've got a little game pressure and we'll see how the offense responds in a three-point game Jesse I can't wait to see this quarterback and how he's going to be able to handle that pressure David how will he respond in this situation and just knowing Listen by three now if I can make this a two-score game I can almost put this away in the fourth quarter didn't get much done on that first play of the drive it's second and 11 they'll run it they want to take their time here defense uses a timeout quickly trying to get that ball back and preserve time for their offense and this is a game management type situation I want to run the football I want to run the clock the clock is my friend with the lead late in the fourth quarter inside of a minute I'm going to keep this ground game going and make you have to look at that clock continue to tip so here we are on fourth down and this field goal kicker is going to face all the pressure in the world tried to give it enough heed here we go boys 45 seconds in a dream okay Arizona state is going back on come out looking for AAR so the first of here David is don't knock yourself out of field goal range correct don't take the sack don't get a negative play but if I can be aggressive Palmer I'm still you're right you're right I ain't got to rush it wonder what he's thinking right now lots of pressure on him he caught it he caught it he caught it heent of room and he gets it to the 39 yd Line This offense absolutely humming as they come to the line again oh he ready to shot oh my God oh my God up and they'll try to get it in with the Run boys we did it we did it and they've got the lead in the fin man this game has been incredible the offense comes through late in the game takes the lead what a clutch drive by this offense now I'm looking at you defense you got the lead late in the game I need you to go put this thing on ice and win it for from inside the 10 yd line he'll bring it back oh my God not a lot ofle by the coverage team and they him at the 21 they've got to move quickly here still a chance but they've got to force the ball down the field working the middle timeout is called by the offense they have 14 seconds left no time to waste here they've got to get set and pick up chunk yardage they'll throw it on first down why is he wide open he missed ited up quickly time winding away they've got to push the ball down the field he'll try it again on second and 10 there it is we win win the inter it's such a fine line offens late in the game you got to score you got to make big plays but you can't turn the football over big time mistake this one might cost it's one thing to exe early thank God I don't I don't know how to drop my DBS how do you do that can focus in the moment or they can't great job by the team staying focused understanding it's a close battle win those one play at a time and then look up and then heck I got the win yeah David they just had ice in their veins and you can tell there's tremendous leadership on this football team guys can step up and in the Huddle they can make sure that everybody else is focused to the task in hand in order to get the
