e Buffalo zero on the run from inside his own five not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 Buffalo has it back let's see what the Bulls offense can do we'll see if that failed fourth down in their own end last time David sort of curvs some of the aggressiveness well when you hear about it all the time in football go for it be aggressive the problem is when you get stopped sometimes it put you in a hole and Jesse now the offense has to come out and respond they were real disappointed not getting that first down you can see it on the sideline so let's just see if that's kind of galvanized them a little bit here to go make a statement and get some points hand off from the shotgun they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one how frustrating is that you're that running back where were you supposed to go there was absolutely no Lane for him on that part they line up with some serious work to do if they want to convert this one and the heat gets there and they get him down at the 14 yd line and the Bulls racing to the line in the hurry up it's they'll immediately call timeout Buffalo the Bulls decide to punt it away doesn't say much for your drive when you're looking forward to the punt makes a move no what a move really nice job all the way around got a few blocks made a couple of moves and a good return on that one before he pushed out of bounds Missouri has the offense ready to go on the field and David how they would love to stick it in the end zone one more time after that last drive and once you get the defense on their heels and you back them off a little bit you get in a little bit of Rhythm it's really hard to stop Jesse and they're going to try to do it again right here and if you're this play caller you're loving what's happening right now because everything you dialed up on that last Drive ended up working out you're just looking at your play sheet everything you're picking is working let's see if can pull it off again here and the defense snows him under after a very short gain and that's what you're trying to do as a defense limit those damages when they run the football get them on the ground short gains to set your defense for positive situations down the road on Third and long trying to have a big completion here and it goes through his hands oh he had an explosive play right there for the taking but couldn't reel it in Missouri will have to send out the punch first punt of the day and he'd love to lock him up close to their goal line on the move it's bir that is coverage just the way you draw it up don't even let him get started and they knock him down deep in his own end the Buffalo offense headed back to the field boy three and out last time David they'd like to be more productive this time around yeah in the last Drive nothing really clicked no rhythm got off the field really really quickly they need to put something together here yeah David bad execution on that last drive so they got to take a collective breath and start playing like a unit on this didn't get much on first down it's second and nine dropping back it's agbar working the middle it's complete and they'll finally catch up to him but not before a big chunk of yardage is picked up and they'll line up from the 31 on first down and that's good enough first he wants to throw and he was hit just as he was releasing the pass and it falls to the ground incomplete guys this offense is going to have to find a way to protect this quarterback he has already been under unbelievable duress early in this game and they're not going to be able to complete throws if they can't keep from standing up and he's a real Nowhere Man tackled in this no gain land how about the defender being a heat seek missile he was on radar lock he found the football and flew down with some bad intentions and this is going to be incomplete on third down and the Bulls want to move [Applause] quickly they're throwing for it on fourth down and they gambled in their own end and now they give up really good field position kazou has it back in the offense coming out on the field LLY gets set first [Applause] down a hand to the running back makes the tackle right at the 21 yd line pick up of 10 on the play and his offense is threatening with a first down quarterback and running back set up in the pistol they're getting this guy lathered up they'll give him maybe one on the play it's down to the [Music] 20 didn't get much on first down it's second and nine the give to the back dropped after a pickup of four down to the 16 y thir how bold will they be on third down after that last run looking downfield it's cook pocket starts to collapse it falls incomplete and that'll be the final play of the period that's the end of the quarter and Missouri has the lead guys let's have a look at the stats as we played one [Music] period now to see if these guys can get back in the game as we open the second quarter number now on fourth down here comes the field goal team and he'll try to knock it through from 33 yards out never a doubt and now the leaves extended a little will be keeping an eye on everything going on elsewhere opening play of this drive comes from the 12 yd line out of the gun the inside hand off looking for a crease maybe picked up a couple as he gets it to the 14 picked up two yards on that last one they need eight on second down he's looking to throw the short hands it's moral and he's tripped up but not before picking up the first down the thing I like about this slot receiver he's really intentional in his route run the quarterback always knows exactly where he's going to be on the field they've got great chemistry from their own 23 it'll be first and 10 they're going back to the ground just enough there to get it to the 25 a pick up of two the Run game just has not been working for this offense it's all game long you saw it on that last play as well just not getting enough push up front on the offensive line they havn't been physical enough to the air it's Agana escapes TR they get enough rush and it pays off the sack at the 20 the Bulls hit it quickly to the line and you can give all the credit to the crowd for that one offense no no chance and call the FSE so the decision has been made and the coach will take the penalty this defense has kept them backed up now one more stop and they can get off the field on Third and long he's looking downfield to throw going up top and that's incomplete a Defender all over him knocked the ball to the ground fourth down coming up and the Bulls will bring the punt team onto the field this will be the second time they've had to kick it away a fair catch taken just inside the 40 yd line the offense lining up for a first down play [Applause] unlock takes a hand off and he's going right Midfield he's got R and he's brought down but the flag is also [Applause] down just an obvious holding call there and one that just kills an offense's momentum looking for a productive play on first down we from the shotgun the hand off to the back oh he's so hard to get on the ground he's got room hit the gas kid wide open the head and he take it to the house he got loose touchdown tiger number eight huge play it's so nice to have guys that can create these explosive plays like this you hand it to him he can do the rest look at the speed look at the elusiveness getting to the end zone nice run about to kick it away after scoring the touchdown oh he's going to take a chance and bring it out he's brought down at the 16 team would have been much better off to take the Touchback Buffalo has it back let's see what the Bulls offense can do after giving up that score now it's incumbent on this offense to kind of get a back and forth going Jesse in this game they got to put some points on the board here there's obviously a lot of football to go so it's not necessarily Panic time just yet but I'm getting the ball into the hands of my best Playmakers on this drive I hear you Jesse but not panic time have you seen my defense I mean I'm not trusting him to get a lot of stops so he puts a lot of pressure on this offense he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple and that's a great play by the defensive end the best athletes on the field play defensive end you can ask anybody yes I agree Jess agree see they agree with me same thing but you watch them get off the football make it got him for the sack and giving up three sacks a week ago now you've already given up four sacks they got to find a way to protect their quarterback give them a little bit more time and we might as well State the obvious first and second down didn't work out third and very long it's caught they were able to get him stopped just shy of the first down marker this offense is completely confident in their ability to get one yard they'll go for it on fourth down he'll try to throw and pick up the first down finds his man and they convert and he's brought to the ground but not before he gets enough for the first down the Bulls are moving quickly down the field to the air it's Shields he looks that one in nicely they make the stop but this passing game does some damage and they move the sticks with the first down and the Bulls want to crank the tempo wow they've been waiting for that play right they haven't been throwing it a lot they've been real sluggish they've got no points on the scoreboard and now they come up with an explosive play in the passing game to get them in a position to score some points here hopefully a touch down before this first half closes out and the quarterback knew exactly where he wanted to go the football had time spins the ball deep nice job by this offense understanding what the defense has given him and creating the explosive play quarterback reacting to what the D is showing he wants to throw it again hit hard as he released the ball on that first down pass and it never had a chance that's a phenomenal job getting after the quarterback and getting it hit on him to ffect his accuracy because if they didn't get the pressure that was going to be a touchdown he had a guy wide open in the Ed Zone that was a golden opportunity but the defense comes up big we've made our way to the two-minute warning and now they'll try to at least cut a little something off of this lead before the break needs to get it in the end zone on Third and goal can't make the grab as he was going for six right there fourth down and and goal from the three The Playbook is pretty much wide open here looking to throw he wants it all ball into the end zone and it's intercepted and that's just excellent cover man cover one nowhere to throw the football look at everybody playing man across the board and you still got the safety in the middle of the field nobody open and if I'm the QB man I don't need to force it I Don't Force It In The Tight Windows if it's not there he throws it unfortunately gets the interception bad decision by the QB there nice quick throw there it's so important for quarterbacks to be able to find the Rhythm and to be comfortable and confident you want to just get the ball out quickly make it an accurate and easy throw and you could tell that these two guys they rep that play in practice all the time and it's now showing up here in these routes have some reads and adaptability built in and the big fella found that cushion and made the play man it's so awesome how much off have evolved they know exactly what they're getting where to sit down quarterback tight end on the same page gets the first down well on that incompletion the quarterback and receiver just not on the same page I mean that wasn't even close and now on second down for this offense looking to throw it's cook throws to the wide out complete downfield he's there to make the stop but the damage has been done as they pick up the first down on the throwing catch the to Tigers come to the line with a fresh set of downs going up top on first down working the middle and they'll finally get him down after a terrific pick up this offense is clicking everything working together really well coordinator quarterback offensive line good Rhythm good flow defense is going to have to find something to kind of mess up this timing they got going on Fires to the tight end and he's able to shed one tackle and that's a pretty good pickup this tight end is so athletic that at times they'll line him up in different parts of the field that time he was in the slot nice job running the route finding the open space in the defense for the completion fly getting set on second [Applause] down he's looking to throw and this sophomore able to wreak some havoc and get the sack a defense calls a timeout here critically important to make sure they have the right play called and everyone on the same page here on Third and long he'll need to loosen up that arm touchdown by sh what a grab and goal for the score one thing this team has shown early this year it does not take them long to find their footing they get off to fast starts that was critical for them winning their first game and you've seen it here in this one too they show up ready to go there's no sleep blocking I think you got to give this coaching staff a ton of credit for putting their players in good positions to have success the Buffalo offense headed back to the field so late in the half this is really an opportunity David maybe to swing the momentum in their favor dang right there's no time to be conserved we're a little bit down listen I just think this is a point with he'll take a deep shot here oh and it's kicked off threw it right into the teeth of double coverage and after the interception and the turnover this defense has set its offense up for business line gets set first down Corner showing press they want to be physical here back to throw it's cook he's got the tight end quick timeout called by the offense after the play well you haven't seen a lot of incompletions from this guy now in his last two games out completed over 70% of his throw last week he's doing it again in this game as a head coach you got to love the fact that your quarterback is dialed in big play to start this drive now they'll snap it from the 39 looking to go up top on first down he's got his man and he'll run across the sidelines after the good gain and just understanding where you're at on the field make sure you get those feet down before you get too close to that sideline so I get credit for that catch nice job nice pitch nice catch grabbed in the middle it's Burton at the 45 on it way and he was just a couple of steps away from taking that one even further after the catch got to get everybody to the line and Spike it to stop the [Applause] clock they'll line up for a second down play he's looking to throw fires into traffic it's picked off trying to take it back at the 30 inside the 10 and he's going to take it all the way back touchdown buffalo buffalo number three and after the extra point they're now down 24 to7 so here comes the kickoff after the touchdown and the last thing you need right before the half is to give up big return Buffalo he'll start the return inside his SP he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the [Music] 18 they'll come out and take a knee and that should send us to halftime no tricks here looks as if they'll just run it out and take that e time [Applause] ready that's going to wrap up the first half here and now we join Kevin with the halftime update gentlemen what else is new a spirited environment there in columia and it's been a clinic in fundamental defensive football both teams have been Relentless and ball Hawking refusing to give an inch this is the kind of slugfest that real football fans love crushing t tackles and dudes flying into gaps and passing Lanes a testament to the discipline both of these teams have shown and with that let's send it back to the guys at Memorial [Music] Stadium all teed up and ready to go here in the second half kick off here he comes from inside his own five nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 Missouri has the offense ready to go on the field we'll see what they can do on this drive that starts at the 16 yard line and that incomplete pass caused by the big hit on first down second down coming well it's a nice job by the quarterback getting the ball out of his hands quickly on that RPO he saw something he liked just on the same page with this receiver looking downfield it's cook got the Quick Pass and he'll step across the sidelines after making a good gain on that one and wait just a second the officials going to take a second look at this one and they take another look at the play but the officials on the field we right and the play will stand ready up coming to the line of scrimmage on third down easy trying to pick it up on the ground and they'll bring him down but not before he picks up the first down and I just love when guys know exactly where the sticks are you could tell ran with purpose finished through the sticks and got just enough for the first down and a nice job up front too right good communic everybody knew where they had to go hat on a hat work the double teams and get some push still on his feet at the 40 and it is a chunk play a huge gain on that one before the defense brings it to an end man I want to be a running back in this offense when you take that hand off to the right and you see that blocking and all the holes open up that's a good sight for a running back you've heard of Reed and react I think the defense read it they just didn't react very well well when you got that kind of a line just all that push they're getting on that right side and just pushed the defensive lineman back gotten the linebacker laps and man oh man it was it was brutal up front looked like the offense had a chance for a big play there but the running back just could not reel that ball in this offense has a second down play Corners right up on that line of scrimmage on second down he'll let it fly reacted well to the tip but just couldn't squeeze the football instead of the turnover it'll be third down well I know that one fell incomplete but what a day this guy has had thrown the football multiple touchdowns and he's done a really nice job with his decision making hasn't thrown any picks which has really helped keep this offense on schedule he'll just keep slinging it holds it in put it right on him sweet play good pick up and they'll move the change with the first down defense is about feeling out the offense and what they like to do what are they going to do in third and short third and medium third and long so far the offense is winning defense is going to need to make some adjustments this senior quarterback a little too bold there and he's lucky he didn't get picked off throwing into double coverage and good job by the defense the defense clearly knew where they were going with the football double coverage out wide making sure they don't give up a touchdown to that guy nice job by the defense here's the handoff finds AC crease at the 20 touchdown tigers and the route is on another nice drive put together and this offense through two weeks man they look legit this team's about to be 2 and0 all of their dreams in front of them this team looks like a national championship Contender we check in with Kevin Connor what's going on Kevin all right guys a little update on what else is happening in college football this weekend North Carolina is down right now but that kid on the defensive side I know this is a big statement but he looks like a young Lawrence Taylor do not rule out a comeback they're trailing by nine to Charlotte we'll Circle back if anything big happens you should know about oh and how about that I know Kevin and those guys will be keeping an eye on it for us on first down here comes this offense [Applause] [Music] PS and fires complete and he goes out of bounds after a nice pick up on that one you can work your way down the field with these wide receiver screens but also look for the opportunity to turn them into chunk plays later no doubt you throw it quickly you get it to him now DB comes up has to make a tackle now you fake it maybe a little bit later on so these plays they're not huge plays all the time but they can set up big plays down the road for your offense on Third and short they'll try to pick it up with the pass fires to the big fella and the defense makes the immediate tackle but he has enough for the first down well that down in distance the quarterback's got to get rid of it so quickly right he knows the defense is going to be bearing down on him so a nice job catching the gun snap and then turning and pivoting getting it out of his hands quickly and accurately to pick up the first can't find his man as he took a shot trying to deliver that football and it'll be second down couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they throw it again and he's picked off again his night vision hasn't been up to speed his third interception and they'll close in on him after a good return on the interception that's number two that's a good year for a lot of people what a day having two interceptions already I might try my hand on the other guy this guy is not somebody I want to M got some room headed to the go line touchdown tiger and the punishment has been extended well let's count him up 1 two three three is the magic number for touchdowns yeah it's as easy as ABC goodness gracious he's been getting whatever he wants whenever he wants however he wants I might want to change something up or maybe focus on that guy that's getting the football a lot and scoring [Applause] lining up to tack one more onto that [Applause] lead and the extra point just tacks a little bit more onto this huge lead that's exactly what you want to do when you have that type of field position strike quickly and they did one play and they put it on the board that ball skips through the end zone it's a touch back and they'll take over at the 25 yd line Buffalo has it back let's see what the Bulls offense can do mistakes are going to happen as they did on that last drive now how will they respond Jesse and this is the kind of guy who's going to take full accountability that was my bad that's on me I'm about to leave this offense now down the SC some point dang I wish I would have played with you I didn't play with many quarterbacks that were just like yeah my bad hey guys I got this sorry about that it was more we should have ran a better route and he's knocked down immediately but not before he moves the chains it's really tough on offenses when defenses know what you got to do you got to pass the football they're in man coverage how about the receiver understanding where the first down is he smells it he goes and gets it so you get stuffed on first down and now you have the offensive coordinator thinking a little bit yeah we're probably going to have to throw it now on this second play what are we going to see defensively now that they know we're throwing might they Blitz us do I have to leave more guys in the block there's a real Pat and mouse game going on right now between these two coaching SLS and the big tight end a lot of times that's a bigger Strike Zone a bigger dude and you could tell they put the hit on him and that ball came out and it came to the turf nice job playing physical by this defense he's close to the first down but they're going to Mark him just a little short and the offense stays on the field on four and one I'm not sure they're just trying to make the defense jump I believe they think they can get it a quick tackle made but he's got plenty for the first down oh and he finds his slot receiver on that fourth down throw and I'll tell you this guy is not the biggest receiver in college football but he does such a good job working the middle of the field he's just able to get open and read coverage every quarterback loves having a slot receiver like that a strong tackle and wrap up from the junior I never know if it's rally correct to say a team is being out physical you hear a lot in football though that's happening in this game they are just not getting the push they need all game long up front to have any success when they decide to and man oh man he is in the dark tonight his fourth interception looking for more room the 10 touchdown by and this defense coming up with points of their own what an interception return and doing a great job in coverage obviously you got to play one first as a linebacker always that's your first thought process but then reading the QB's eyes breaking on the football catching it and then from there it was easy just take it right to the house fielded In The End Zone it's bir he stopped short of the 20 at the 19 and probably wishes he' just taken the Touchback the Buffalo offense headed back to the field that last pick six at after a drive like that David can swing the momentum of a game the defense is still celebrating I mean such a big play I mean they they gave up and that is his fifth interception a nightmare he is not waking up from touchdown tiger a great return for the touchdown any return for a touchdown is a great one to a defense the and linebackers are so athletic nowadays in college football they can play man on running backs and tight ends and all over the field and how about the linebacker making the athletic interception and then showing you he could be a runner back taking it all the way back to the house for a touchdown Buffalo has it back but see what the Bulls offense can do well the good news is they threw a touchdown pass last time it was just to the wrong team Jesse well that's an unfortunate part of the game for quarterbacks but guess what they do happen so youve got to be able to turn the page here and Lead this offense well I think you know this defense is going to be aggressive they're going to jump routes they're going to play aggressive you got to take advantage of that maybe use that this time to your advantage now on First and 10 from the 26 used the play fake now to throw quarterback moving and he's left with no option but to throw it away know the situation know the game of football right when I start to get outside the pocket I don't see anything there I can throw the ball away I don't have to take a sack get a lost yardage play I can just throw the ball out of bounds as long as it passes the line of scrimmage we go on to the next down no harm no foul the Bulls moving quickly to the [Applause] line back to throw it's agbar got his man quickly he gets it oh so close to the first down marker but I think he's going to be a touch short now the quarterback changing the original play call and they gambled in their own end turn it over on downs and now the other offense is set up bzou has it back on the offense coming out on the field looking for a productive play on first down they'll run it on the counter productive four yard gain there on the ground as he gets it down to the 31 it's the emmo of this offense and they really put a lot on the offensive line to go out and really try and establish their dominance and their assertiveness and they've done a good job of that early in this game running the football not much there on the Run he gets one to the 31 they're facing a third down DB's locked up tight on the receivers oh he's going to try to hit him deep touchdown tiger and The Stomping has commenced and it's not an accident they're featuring this guy his second receiving touchdown of the game that's your job as a coach find my Playmakers get him the ball so they can do damage and have games like this right here lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown Drive Buffalo and they desperately wanted to attempt a return but decided not to instead they'll take the Touchback the Buffalo offense headed back to the field from the gun the ground game Powers through the defender just outstanding vision from The Young freshman on that run and that is just an attitude run running it right up the middle right into the teeth of that [Applause] defense fires the pass intercepted gots of room to run and he's going to run it all the way back touchdown by the DB saw it he thought don't drop it don't drop it then thought don't get caught don't get caught and he didn't the pick six these guys can play offense too now look at this I showed you I can be a wide receiver coach might split him out wide receiver next week after making that big play but defense great job making the interception and you're right doing something with it don't just slide down don't be content take that thing all the way back they'll be able to get off one more play before quarters end back to the ground game on the left there to make the tackle and with that we'll head to the fourth quarter and you want to talk about his favorite receiver it might be everybody based on the number of guys getting touches in a chance to show off their hands in the passing game so will the beat down continue or is this a comeback for the ages in store we'll see as we start the fourth we'll get this quarter going with a second down play the give from the gun he showed it all there a little elusiveness a little power and he's got the first down well it's a good time to mix in the Run play you're down it's late in the fourth quarter right now and everyone's expecting you to throw so not a lot of defenders in the box that's a great situation to try to run the ball it's first and 10 for this offense from the 42 leaves it with the back shakes off a [Applause] tackler didn't get much on first down it's second and nine after the run run run now to throw he let the thing fly quickly but he couldn't make the connection complete just been that kind of day for this quarterback in this offense guys they have never been able to get into a rhythm throwing the football timing's been off accuracy hasn't been great we've seen some drops just not in sync that's why they find themselves trailing by a lot right here lately and the defense knew exactly where that first down line was and they stopped him short down in the fourth quarter it's too late for empty possessions they'll go for it on fourth down the incomplete pass makes this series end in frustration as they turn it over on down Missouri has the offense ready to go on the field line gets set first down to the ground with the back and he picked up the first down but he will remember the price he paid after that hit this this guy's been special today coming into this one they thought they had an opportunity really to get him going running the football and he has delivered you've seen the speed the vision his ability to break tackles well over a 100 rushing yards in this game and that's why they have a nice lead here and that defense doesn't allow a cut back and they get him out of bounds after a short gain halfway there on first down it's second and five5 dropping back it's cook makes his connection and they're able to force him out of bounds after a short pickup great timing there in that throw by the QB on the out route gets it to his guy just in time he makes the catch and his momentum takes him out of bounds it'll be a run on Third and short Slamm to the ground but not before he gets the first down all right nothing flashy there he just did what it took to get the first down and the tigers are on the move he's going to pass turns it Loose got it touchdown tigers and the beat down has ensued points points and more points this offense has had their way they just keep their foot on the gas keep putting up points keep putting up touchdowns and you know what this is one of those stats days you look back and you're like that guy had 12 touchdowns on the year Well four or five of them might have been in this game and he takes this from inside the five and the Return Man is stopped and that'll leave it up to the offense on the next drive all right guys so here's the offense back on the field again at Fourth Down gamble didn't pay off on the last drive and it led to giving up a scoring Drive David yeah and everybody wants to go for it on fourth down everybody wants that but your defense sometimes has to bail out your decision making we decided to go for it we didn't get it and the defense Jesse didn't come up big and prove me right yeah not complimentary football no doubt but look this offense has been in these situations before so you got to come back out here take the field it's a fresh set of downs brand new Drive let's go out and execute put some points on the board pretty good effort on that one to work his way up to the 42 I know it's sexy to throw the football but if you can pound it away and get these kind of gains they will just add up wear the defense down get first downs and ultimately get some points and excellent Vision to find Running Room there and make a really good pickup before the defense put a stop to it well it's a nice change up call on offense because obviously in the fourth quarter you're down by a bunch of points and everybody in the stadium is expecting you to throw it to get back in the game so you dial up the Run play and you get a huge Gainer hopefully that can give this offense the momentum they need to try to scrape and Claw back into this one and the defense doing a great job committing to the run when you commit to the run like this obviously you can give up some plays in the passing game but you got to stop the run first they'll run it from the gun they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one man down on the play as the officials take a break to let him be checked out third down conversions are a huge stat and this one would be a doozy if they can pull it off now the toss got room at the 35 he's right out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down down that's a really nice game it just would have been really nice to see this from this offense earlier now you're getting to the point where there's a couple of f processes do I build momentum for next week do I try to get this offense ground game clicking or do I throw the football every play and try to make this football game close second down here and maybe they've got time to get one more snap off before the two-minute warning on ready there trying to surprise him with the pass whips it out in the flat and you see they keep creeping the running backs out and flat right there he slips him out to the right gets him the football quickly but this defense man I tell you what you talk about speed seeing things reacting and going and getting them on the ground really nice job able to fight his way ahead for a pick up of four but they're still left with a 14 and two he just couldn't hold his water long enough in the line of scrimmage it'll be a penalty false start off the officials offer the deal and the coach accepts it they will take the [Applause] penalty coach has no choice here the
