when they hear Sandstorm and serve big spur starts getting those claws sharpened Williams Bry Stadium comes alive in support of their South Carolina game CS today a showdown between a pair of undefeated Giants in a game that should have longlasting implications as we'll see the number 14 team in the country the Arkansas Razorbacks taking on the winners of four straight the South Carolina game cup for EA Sports college football ree stav is with you alongside David poock and Jesse Palmer time to get this game started [Applause] and the game Cox will get us under way with the opening kickoff he'll bring it out it's Anthony I imagine he's going to get an earful on the sideline after bringing it out of the end zone and being knocked down at the 11 you think the fans are ready for this one the Booth's shaking underneath us guys comes out throwing on first down just a short pass to the tight end and that corner came in hot despite knowing that he was giving up some siid things did not go their way in ACC play last year this year an opportunity maybe to turn things around and we've seen people in this league turn things around the ACC every year it seems like you know like Reese you always say spinning that wheel of Destiny who's going to be in the championship game so it's not unheard of that you can have a bad season and turnning around so Jesse a lot of examples to point to as they kick off this season yeah it it's critical then to get off to a fast start like they've got to come out here in their first conference game in a season play and put it all together offense has to March the ball score points defense needs to get some stops and create some takeaways and set a standard for yourself throughout the course of the Season fires to the right and this is going to be incomplete on Third and how loud is it in this building this is crazy this these fans are going absolutely nuts and I used to love when the fans got involved and I'm on defense because it messes with the snap it messes with the communication and it can really rattle an offense on fourth down going to the air and the incomplete pass they roll the dice Snake Eyes there are analytics out there in college that say maybe you can go for that at that point of the field here in the first half it's still early if you don't get it you can come back later in the game make it up score some more points and that mistake will be erased the problem is right now at this juncture of the game that was a big time error the fact that you didn't get that you're now giing your opponent points back to the ground game on the left and maybe he'll get back to the line of scrimmage but no more than that love seeing these early seon top 25 matchups you can get a really good feel of how good these teams are guys and the intensity is going to be big too David because the players you know on these teams they've been thinking about this game for a long time they knew they'd have a national stage got some room enter to the goal line touchdown game cop and they jump on Top This offense is so good man they can hurt you in so many different ways and they do it so quick so explosive they can put driv big Drives together they've really had a great year and that's why they're a top 10 offense and the kick is good but there's a penalty flag and I think it's going to be roughing the kicker the kickoff team on the field he ought to just boom this thing through the end zone with that extra 15 yards on the penalty he'll bring it out it's Anthony nothing wrong with the Touchback and they wish they had one right now but he stopped at the nyd line defense has him pinned back and listen to this crowd Roar off the play fake on first down to throw a strike downfield and they'll do more than move the chains they'll move that thing more than 30 yard down the field before he's finally stopped yeah and the quarterback knew exactly where he wanted to go the football had time spins the ball deep nice job by this offense understanding what the defense is giv them and creating the Expos fires into traffic intercepted bringing it back the 30 he's at the 20 and they capitalize not only on the pick but on the great return to improve this field position what an amazing play by the defense not only do you get the interception but you completely flip the field and how about the open field running by that guy once he made the and the offense is out on the field with a first and goal the Gil he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple you know when you're playing against a defense of this caliber you're going to have to have some sort of balance right you can't just drop back and throw at every single play nothing going on that last run they're going to have to find another way to get it going hand in the ball they'll run it to the left looking for the end zone and how about that play by that giant that mountain of a man on the defensive front I think one of the keys of this defense's success all season has been how good they've been stopping the Run they are at top 10 unit when it comes to russing defense and it's helped them out this year down in the Red Zone they' love to make this short field payoff with a touchdown instead of settling for three but it is third and the catch and Rod into the end zone touchdown South Carolina really nice job working the route and getting himself opening he's able to locate the football snag it out of the air and this guy now has five receiving touchdowns on the year and let's check in with Kevin Conor in the studio Kevin Hey guys got a final score in a big top 25 matchup Ohio State went on the road and just dominated and that's one way to grab attention on a national level make a statement in someone else's building and prove you're legit and did the Buckey ever do that always interesting to see ranked teams Collide and today was no different the agony and Ecstasy of college football fellas yeah how about that sounds as if they had a good ball game there Kevin thanks for the update the Hogs send that offense back onto the field to say this has been a slow start it's a bit of an understatement and they really need to get it going here Jesse that's right the opponent they're firing on all cylinders right out of the gate offensively for this unit they've been slow and struggling they need an explosive play to wake themselves up yeah and it's just the first quarter so it's not the end of the world you've seen slow starts but you got to continue to pick and pick and pick until you find that play or or that scheme that you can use against this defense all kinds of room to throw that one in there and they were looking for a chunk play and they got it explosive picks up more than 30 nice confidence by the QB good throw over the middle of the field nice little strike down the field for a big play listen you got to throw it where it's open and he found a slot found a little hole in the middle of the field nice job attacking he's looking to throw it the quick out there to make the tackle but the big throw is good enough to give them a first down well that was a dart right there he's going to give saw a chance because in the old days in the SEC you had to run the football if you were going to win championships today you better be able to get it done through the air you think of all the great play callers in this league and all the highman trophy winners this league has seen at the QP position in recent years you better be able to do it throwing the ball this guy I think gives Arkansas a chance with his arm nice job by the QB you can tell they want to push it down the field they want to be aggressive on first down which I love which is really hard to stop from a defensive standpoint but does a good job scrambling outside the picking up the first down and then saving his life good job get out of bounds fires into the end zone and it's caught touchdown Arkansas one of the areas they really focused on with this receiver in the off season was we need you to make more plays for us in the end zone when we're taking shots we need to be able to step up and make tough catches David what a grab right there and I think a lot of that has to do with trusting your guy knowing where he's going to be going to sit down when he's not so being on the same page and then having a guy that can go get him just when the ball is near him he's going to make the play just like he did right there for six points and he puts through the extra point almost ready to kick it away after scoring the touchdown not going to risk a return here he'll make the fair Catch South Carolina ready to go on the attack in another offensive Odyssey and David how they would love to stick it in the end zone one more time after that last drive and once you get the defense on their heels and you back them off a little bit you get in a little bit of Rhythm it's really hard to stop Jesse and they're going to try to do it again right here and if you're this play caller you're what's happening right now because everything you dialed up on that last Drive ended up working out you're just looking at your play sheet everything you're picking is working let's see if they can pull it off again here nowhere close on that one as he got drilled trying to deliver the football and now they face third down doesn't take this defense a lot of time to get to the quarterback man they've got speed all over the place they hit him so quickly and because of that the ball Falls incomplete [Applause] back to throw it's sers looking to the big tight end oh they really could have used that catch there physical pass defense it brings up a fourth down third and short like that on your own side of the field you're just looking for a quick hitter you're trying to get the ball out of your hand quickly but the timing completely off there for the offense and the ball Falls incomplete and the offense will stay on the field do you think they're just going to try to make the defense jump on fourth down trying to find his man grabs it at the 25 in stri touchdown game Cs and once he found daylight it was ktie Mar the door baby well this offense is top 10 in the country in points per game because they've got a lot of speed and they've got home run hitters they score fast they don't need 10 plays to go down the field you saw it right there they've recruited well they've got Playmakers they are going to be a problem for defenses all year long about to kick it away after scoring the touchdown here he comes from inside his own five finds his way up to the 24 before he goes out of bounds and Arkansas ready to send out this offense the last time they had it they took it down the field for a touchdown they can build some confidence that they could go backto back scoring drives here yeah and remember it's not uncommon for offenses to find themselves as the game goes on they had some things not go their way early but they found something last Drive David let's see if they can build on it yeah you you you just pick and pick and pick until you find in that place where you're like okay this is an advantage I have they clearly found that dude they score here we're in for a ball game off the play fake on first down wants to throw incomplete he had to get rid of it before he wanted to the defense put the heat on there's a lot of QBs that when they get hit and when they get hurried and when they get pressured they become very average really nice job by the defense pressuring the about pocket starts to collapse he gets rid of it but I don't think they're going to let him get away with that nope here comes the flag the Roar of the crowd trying to fuel this defense to keep them pinned in their own end on Third and long he'll have to turn it loose deep unloads to the wide out he's got an open man and the tackle is made but not before that completion gets him 30 plus it's a beautiful pass and catch I love the job the quarterback does manipulating the defense with his odd he Froze that safety and that allowed his receiver more room to work as well to throw it's green he's going to take off Midfield he's got Ro he turns this into a nice G and gets down to avoid the [Applause] hit they'll break the seal on this quarter here on first down looking to move it through the air getting some heat can't find his man as he took a shot trying to deliver that football and it'll be second down this conference has a history of getting wacky and the last thing you need to do is get off to a slow start in ACC play hey what does everybody talk about every year right like conference he's going to throw deep right side and it's incomplete after taking a shot on second down they're scaring it third bad news on that play it's an incompletion the good news is the quarterback knew if his guy wasn't going to catch it nobody was with that ball landing on it bounds release to the back they're working that left side and this offense is feeling it as they rip off a big chunk of yardage and they've got it on the 22 the Razer backs come to the line with a fresh set of downs they'll throw it on first down can't hold on he had him right down the middle and he flat dropped it offense about to reel off its seventh play of the drive wants to throw on second down going to try to get it himself Nifty little Scamper on this one enough for the first down and he slides in safely and the Razer back's in the hurry up looking pass it's green he got it and he will score touchdown Razer backed up in the shadow of their own goal post no problem when you start in the black Zone inside your own 20 coming out it's difficult you can give up a safety you get worried about that the offense puts a great drive together great job executing great job getting a touchdown lining up for the pat and with the extra point they're down a touchdown 2114 kickoff team is on the field they'll try to drive this one [Applause] deep and it'll be a Touchback the ball will come out to the 25 yd line [Music] and the South Carolina offense is back on the field after standing on the sideline and watching that long touchdown Drive they really need to put something together to give their defense a rest and that's a real thing man like you played a lot of plays you get worn out you need a chance to go decompress on the sideline get some oxygen Palmer now it's on this offense yeah this is the definition of complimentary football CU it's a two-prong problem you've got to score points and answer you've also got to take your time and give your defense an opportunity to get their win he's back to throw on second down got his man on the right he's brought down quickly minimal gain there still a bit short of the first down yeah and you see running backs in today's football they play a wide receiver basically for you but you got to find a guy that you can throw it to and you know he's going to catch the ball consistently quarterback flips inead quickly to the receiver creates a little space all kinds of Running Room running inside the 20 touchdown game cop and once he found open space the band might as well start playing and coming into the game you look at the stats and you say top 10 offense in scoring so they better be able to create what explosive plays another explosive plays they've been doing it all year long those plays are back Breakers defenses just can't contain this offense and the extra point is good for a 2814 lead lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown drive it bounds through the back of the end zone it'll be a Touchback Hogs send that offense back on to the field now we'll get a chance to see if they can answer that last score trailing by 14 Jesse Yeah and at this point in the game I feel like offensively you should go back to what's been working for you in this game don't be afraid to dial up plays that you've already had success with running it and throwing it it's okay to repeat plays down 14 at this point and I would also say Palmer kind of understanding that my defense is not playing great so I know offensively I got to put some good possessions together here make something happen on this side of the football pressure coming and the Freshman will talk up a sack the Razer backs are in the hurry up on Third and long doesn't need to take the check down picked off he'll try to take it back continues to fight for yards he'll finally go out of bound but he was showing off all the skills after that interception this is obviously not a great start for this quarterback here two interceptions already in this game he's got to do a much better job with his decision making and they Cy the middle of this defense and that is not happening stopping the run is about physicality it's about I'm bigger than you I'm stronger than you up front really nice job by the defense showing their strength bowing up stuffing the r back to pass it's sers fires to the wide out and the incomplete pass was just too hot to handle so the timing on that throw and on the route was just convoluted messed up from the beginning and you see quarterbacks wide receivers in the offseason always working on timing and always working on throwing on air but when you put a defense in front of them now things start to speed up a little bit a lot of you'll see these little mistakes and where it looks unleashes one deep he's got it in the end Z touchdown South Carolina no midseason concentration laps here in week seven as they push out that lead and it's so underrated the the relationship between a QB and a wide receiver the timing the ability to know where he's going to be and be accurate the football that's what leads to nice touchdown Jess well the chemistry between these two guys has to be great when throwing because coverage is going to be tight the throw might not be perfect but this is something these two guys have been repping in practice over and over and over and it's paying dividends now on game and there will be no return on this one as the ball bounds into the end zone and Arkansas ready to send out this offense they're down by 21 points but you get a touchdown here and you do at least apply a little gain pressure it's true I think for them to get back in this one at this point now they need the quarterback to play his best football he's going to have to be good really pre- snap David making sure they're in the right looks and he's got to be really good with his decision making he's got to be dowed in because defensively you're giving up points so it's not like you have the luxury the defense playing great the offense is going to have to score and score pretty Dar good it's third down now they ought to be able to get off one more play before the two-minute warning run the gun wants to pass [Applause] and he's not going to get there the defense Stands Tall and makes the stop you want to talk about aggressive or nuts this off is staying on the field inside their own 30 trying to get to him trying to escape and get it himself will not get there a fourth down stop that's a great job there by by the defense here early in this game getting a huge stop and they've got an opportunity to make the opponent pay offense taking over now in great field position let's see what they can do here from a play calling standpoint to try to put some points on the board what a Nifty one there to pick up the first down with the weapons this offense has you knew it was just a matter of time in the Run game before someone was going to break a long one they just been running into a wall they just couldn't seem to find their es and get enough movement up front but they finally got it there picking up the first let's see what happens next head to the end zone he rumbled all the way down to the two yd line he gave a little bit of everything on that one it's so nice as an offense to know you can generate explosive plays by handing the football off to this guy he has got incredible speed this offense has been running wild in the first half but they want more before they go to the locker room he'll pull it on the read he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three the best Red Zone offenses are the ones who can run the ball in this area but that's a tough ask today especially against this unit one of the best five defenses in the nation stopping the run this is a and he's got it touchdown game c receivers do this every day all day throw it and wait just a second the officials going to take a second look at this one and the play will stand after the replay boot just does a little double cheing to make sure lining up to tack one more onto that lead and the extra point will tack another one onto this lead quick work on that scoring drive just four plays and the score comes at a 5yd touchdown pass kickoff team lining up to send this one [Applause] away that ball skips through the end zone it's a touch back and they'll take over at the 25 yd line Hogs send that offense back onto the field boy they've been caught in a buzz saw here in the first half but maybe a chance to carry some momentum into the break here it all comes down to this drive right here ree obviously this offense has everything go right for them in the first half but here's an opportunity David to execute some plays put some throws together and generate some points and you're right Jesse and this offense needs to start now like we got to get some points on the board create some momentum and continue it because you've dug yourself a significant that last incomplete pass has him staring at a third and [Applause] three makes the grab it's satna a timeout is called as this offense tries to find a way to get more points on the board before the half and the Razer backs will snap it on First and 10 he wants to throw dumps it to the back got his man and the catch was one thing and the Run even better a big pick up on that one the Razer backs want to pick up the tempo going up top on first down going to throw it over the top of the knee and he is finding wide open defend all over the field his third interception of the day that's why as quarterbacks you cannot Telegraph the pass you cannot stare down your receivers because these Defenders they're watching it and that Defender knew exactly where the QB was going with that football and that's why he picked it off South Carolina ready to go on the attack in another offensive Odyssey they'll throw it on first down and he was hit just as he was releasing the pass and it falls to the ground incomplete yeah this def hadn't had a lot of success this offense has been doing what it wants at will finally get to the QB finally getting some pressure finally getting a big hit on him that'll pay some dividends down the road power football with the Run that's a 15 he's loose and he was loose and in the open field and on his way a tremendous pick up on that one the offense calls a timeout to stop the clock that'll put a smile on the OC's face to get a little breathing room now it's first and 10 from the 38 dropping back it's sellers fires to the right the receiver was doubled and they picked it off and they'll Clow in on him after a good return on the interception as a quarterback you've got to give your receiver an opportunity to make the play you got to put the ball on his body and that throw gets away a little bit from the QB and that leads to the tip in the interception a great spot to start this drive for the offense wants to throw on first down looking to the big tight end got his Man Down field touchdown Aransas that is the ultimate grab and go for the score man nice job getting the passing game going th this is big man going to the half and listen I know you're trailing but building some momentum maybe this second half we can keep airing the football out cutting into this deficit and who knows what the heck will happen and they tacked on the extra point that drive not too taxing on the Playbook One play put it in the end zone just like that so here comes the kickoff after the touchdown and the last thing you need right before the half is to give up a big return he'll bring it out it's Bennett not nearly as much as he hoped when he brought it out of the end zone he'll be stopped at the 15 time dwindling away as they try to put points on the board right before the half to the air on first down he lost one down the sideline pass Falls incomplete and there are still three seconds left it's so hard to get these guys to the ground they're such good athletes nowadays and you can see had a chance to wrap him up but he's so elusive he gets out of the tackle still forces the incompletion but man these guys are a nightmare to try to get on the ground and that pass is intercepted and he'll be brought down and that's how we'll end the first [Music] half we played two quarters here time to go to Kevin Connors in our halftime update and the Razer backs will kick it off to start the second half [Applause] you'll call for the fair catch here and the South Carolina offense is back on the field he'll start the third quarter with the Run he's little gains can start to add up as he gets it up to the 34 I know SE thr the football but if you can pound it away and get these kind of gains they will just add up wear the defense down get first downs and ultimately get some points caught in the back field it's haror and he'll have enough for the first down at the 42 here's this offense with a fresh set of downs quarterback Quick Pass to the receiver runs through a tackle and runs through another one and he's brought down after a nice game this offense has a lot of different ways they can attack you you're going to see the entire Playbook at work in this game throwing it running it and getting guys the ball out on the perimeter great job looking to throw it's cellers l one deep down the right side he's got it touch down game cop and the route is on like a Thanksgiving turkey they're just being hard no shot they have no idea how to get this quarterback he's on fire everything he's doing is working defensively we got to figure something out we got to try to do something a little bit different bring more pressure at this right Sho he's on so much fire he might as well just send everything everybody at the results everything [Applause] anyways coming out with it it's Anthony makes a move got him little room there he goes open it up he will score touchdown Razer backs well maybe they thought if they kicked it into the end zone that he wouldn't dare bring it back instead he just dared them to tackle him and nobody could what an explosive return and those guys got so much speed they ain't scared and you could tell takes it out good blocking give him a little crease and you could see the speed you don't put slow guys back deep you don't see Jesse Palmer rning kicks no no no no you see the fast guys and you see an open space and boom he's gone they're just about to boot it away full of energy after housing that last kickoff fair catch called for and made South Carolina ready to go on the attack in another offensive Odyssey and the ball is out who's going to get it and the defense snatches it and they're trying to flip the field touchdown Arkansas the defense takes matters into their own hands that ball was squirting around on the field finally corraled by the defense and they turn it into six and it's so hard defensively do I jump on it and make sure I get it or do I scoop it up and try to make the big play he chose to scoop it up and it pays off makes the big play gets the touchdown let's go to the studio now and check in with Kevin Conor Kevin what do you got Dynamite match up today fellas let's show you what's going down Wyoming needs to pick up the pace but this puppy is far from over and with that crowd there in laramy behind them I'm kind of banking on a comeback they're trailing by nine to Houston we'll Circle back if anything big happens you should know about it oh and how about that I know Kevin and those guys will be keeping an eye on it for us and the South Carolina offense is back on the field they'll try the right side not much doing there he gets it to the 26 a gain of one didn't get much on first down it's second and nine looking for a man it's sers using the quick game they make the stop but this passing game does some damage and they move the sticks with the first down and that's why if you're the offensive coordinator you've got to find as many ways as possible to get this guy going just get him the ball close to the line of scrimmage doesn't need to be a throw deep down the field he's so Dynamic when he has the ball in his hands you saw it right there looking to go up top on first down out of the back field he's open and how about that catch and run so dangerous this guy this quarterback obviously did a lot of film prep coming into this one he has been picking this defense AP with that last completion guys he's now got over 300 yd passing here's a quick throw out to the left he's brought down solid pick up but a little bit short of the first down well he was putting up big num coming into this one we knew the quarterback was going to go his way early and often with that last catch he's now got over 500 yard receiving on the a across the 25 he's got mov and he's knocked down but there's also a flag that's been dropped let's check on the call so the decision has been made and the coach will take the penalty and now on second down for this [Applause] offense now the quart back changing the original play call using his legs to buy some time and he makes the catch inside the 15 that's where they'll Mark him down the what they play there to pick up a first down well how about the offense setting that play up we've seen earlier in the game a couple shorter throws they just trying to suck those safeties closer to the line of scrimmage anticipating that they would get an opportunity to take a shot they called the perfect play at the perfect time right there and a nice run there before the defense finally makes the stop well on these little push passes timing is so important you're trying to snap it right as he's getting a full head of steam when he gets the ball he's hitting the outside David it puts the defense in such a difficult spot you immediately have to be rotating when you see that motion so everybody's got to communicate and kind of bump over that's why offenses love to run it just it makes the defense communicate and see if you can just get them out of the the Gamecock have it in scoring position on first and [Applause] goal they'll try to get it in with the run just hammer it with this running back again and he knowses his way into the end zone the offense strikes again to extend it lead here in the second half and they got everything working how great is this you extend your lead now you get defense back on the field great job taking advantage of the situation and building on that lead and the extra point is true and the lead balloons to 21 about to kick it off after punching it in for the [Applause] touchdown oh right through his fingers he muffed it and he takes this from inside the five he only needs a sliver of daylight he's got an alley can they catch him he'll take it to the house touchdown Razer back and he's in for the second score of the game my goodness note to self kickoff team don't kick it to him anymore squib it kick it to the other guy just don't let that guy touch it again ready to try the point after right down the boulevard can't do it much better than that get the kickoff return take it 98 to the house and put a touchdown on the board they're lining up for the kickoff and let's see if this return team can answer with a score of its own no return coming he'll call for the fair catch South Carolina ready to go on the attack in another offensive Odyssey they Unleashed an aerial assault last time that took them right to the end zone David So Reese with that drive I think you running toward the tap and they'll finally bring him down after he rips off a huge play well the defense knew coming into this one that this team was going to try to use their speed and take advantage of it they did right there nice gain on the Run play to the right found plenty of Running Room in that defense they've got to find a way to get there and make the tackle in the open field yeah and they got to do a good job with their eyes the football and they got to get a lot of bodies to this guy cuz he is fast picked up two yard on that last one they need eight on second down the receivers often will run their route based on a side adjustment oh he's going to try to hit him deep and that is interception number three on the day and they'll drag him down after a good return on the interception a veteran in this defense stayed locked in on his rules and made the interception so you come out of the locker room for the second half and right away you throw a pick bad news too because you go into the locker room and you sort of regroup and you start thinking about how you're going to attack this defense what adjustment he's got it on the left open Runway ahead he's at the 10 touchdown Arkansas a Lazarus likee comeback is underway one of the reasons this offense is so exciting to watch theyve got guys that are dangerous after the catch and if this quarterback gets through his progression David he hits you in stride these guys will take it to the house man it's your job to do the rest right you hit me in stride where I don't have to stop running I don't have to break down it makes it so easy the connection between quarterback wide receiver you can tell this is a good one and that's why they got six on that play and it's up and good as they draw Just a Touch closer that one going to get Little Star mark besided on the play sheet One play explosive touchdown just like that kickoff team has the ball teed up in there about ready to go fielded In The End Zone it's Bennett slips through the line he's on the loose and there he goes he will score touchdown South Carolina he just took it the entire length of the field end to end Coast to Coast Nationwide for the touchdown and how about the fans in the stands go no no no no no take a knee take no yes yes yes yes over 100 yard for the kickoff return nice job taking at the Enzo making a huge they're lining up to kick it Off full of momentum after housing that last kickoff can't hang on he muffs it and Arkansas ready to send out this offense a quick strike touchdown up top the last time they had it Jesse they'd love to it again no doubt they've got so many Playmakers on the perimeter David just find a way to get these guys the ball in space and you already started man making that big play opening up this offense this quarterback is feeling good about himself I wouldn't be surprised if they give it right back to him took just one play and they got it almost to Midfield first down from the 49 coming out going for it all and they dialed up a shot play but they couldn't make the connection it's great for this quart to take shots down the field but you just don't want it to feel like a give up or a Chuck it up and hope kind of play and I think understanding the situation now I'm on defense right if they're going to take shots down the field maybe I'm a little bit more aggressive with my Blitz understanding that everything's going to take a little bit more time to develop if they're going to take those deep shot and he holds it in inside the 30 and they are finding some space in this defense he's got it down to the 25 razor will have it first and 10 to the air it's green they're trying to get to him a really nice run and gain and he gets down to avoid taking punishment he does a good job of dropping back going through his progressions nothing there what do I do go get some yardage make it positive don't sit back in the pocket and force something into a bad situation or take a sack great job making something out of nothing and he was looking to the end zone and they couldn't make the connection well the quarterback knew where he wanted to go with the ball his intended target just wasn't open so the quarterback made sure he put that football in the stands on second down he'll let it fly feeling some heat and he was fortunate not to lose yardage on that play able to wedge it back to the line of scrimmage boy they'd love to pick up this conversion and go to work with a first and goal third and long and he'll try to throw for it they're bringing Heat and the quarterback is snowed under down in the fourth quarter it's two wait for empty possessions they'll go for it on fourth down he'll try to throw and pick up the first down it's incomplete and they desperately needed to keep that drive going and they couldn't make the connection it was a massive missed opportunity failing on that fourth down so they're trailing there's a little bit less than 3 minutes to go here their defense has got to be able to get the ball back here quickly for them to have any shot they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one and I think if you're the head coach defensively now obviously you've got three timeouts in your back pocket you're trailing at this point and the offense is going to be running the football trying to bleed the clock they're going to take as much time off the game clock as they can before sing it you've got to start thinking about using some of those timeouts moving P the 25 oh look out he's at the 30 he's at the 10 Waltz is Into The End Zone but he might be dancing the other way there's a flag on the field this offense has a second down play looking to throw It's sers Quickly complete and he's knocked down immediately but a good pick up on that play defense uses the timeout quickly trying to get that ball back and preserve time for their offense you make up the game plan and not a lot on the play sheet for this third and long from inside their own 20 quick pass on the jet motion looking for room at the 25 got a lot of running room at the 30 the tag touchdown game and they'll put that scoreboard operator to work and put six on the board they build this fourth quarter lead and they are just minutes away from going 5 and0 we check in with Kevin Connor what's this is a top 10 defense this is a challenge they're going to make everything difficult so when you can make some plays against this you got to absolutely take advantage create some momentum for your squad nice drive by this offense that one bouns through the end zone and it'll be a Touchback okay so here comes the offense returning to the [Applause] field he'll come out throwing on first down he's taking a deep shot and it slips through his fingers incomplete that would have been a huge gain if he could have held on after the incompletion it's second and 10 from their own [Applause] 25 throws to the wide out wide open down field they'll get it to the 48 no need to measure it's a first down sprinting to the line to try to get this one off clock's running he's going to pass a deep throw as the clock winds down nearly another interception it'll be second down and this defense has put a game together like it is hard to put all the facets of Defense together run defense pass defense they've been so good man dialed in you could tell they were ready they were fast they were physical they dominated this football game and that makes five interceptions in this one the nightmare is alive he looked as if he thought he had it all the way and this junior makes a play this is a beautiful situation for the defense when you're up by two plus scores and you're in this situation you know exactly what is coming it's going to be a pass they have to because the clock is their enemy great job playing pass forcing the interception almost putting the nail in the cof and they'll bring him down after a short pick up and I'm a fan of this man run the football eat the clock we got the lead this offense has put together a nice day man like just balance Rhythm timing play calling everything is worked that's why they built this lead they've had a great day today and the ball's on the ground oh the offense ought to go by a lottery ticket because that ball somehow bounced right back to them they'll keep it as a defense you just want to steal some possessions create some turnovers you force the fumble man what a break for the offense to fall back on it those are those are moments that you just get a little bit frustrated because it's just it's the luck of a bounce still on his feet at the 45 flying down the left side we're at the Midway point of the season and
