need a little caffeine or maybe the sheer energy of this matchup will'll keep you wide awake as we know anything can happen when you kick off after dark as we'll see a squad from the Sun Belt the UL Monroe warhawks taking on a team looking for its first win the Auburn Tigers for EA Sports college football I'm ree Davis joined here in the booth as always by David Pollock and Jesse Palmer guys let's tee this one up and the War Hawks will kick it away to start us off on the move from inside is five really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 so Auburn's offense will start this game off and this big fella can beat you in a number of different ways in the passing game David yeah so much fun to have a guy that I can rely on that can beat guys over the middle of the field that can beat manto man this guyy the Ultimate Weapon and I love that this guy has an awesome catch radius you don't have to be perfect as a quarterback when you throw to him he can make you look good smashes through he stopped just a chain link or two away from the first down and sets them up beautifully here and that would be the definition of first down success putting yourself in a good position it's second and inches I can do whatever I want next I can take a shot down the field I can run the football and get a new set of sounds like nice first down execution this guy's a game changer at the running back position man don't you just feel like you have to be if you're going to be tot in the Rock at Auburn Bo Jackson obviously won a Heisman Trophy Cadillac Williams Ronnie Brown on the same team at the same time and then tank Bigsby here in recent years too physical Runners but they also had speed they were the total package and I think this guy fits right into that category at the 45 on it way that defense got gashed but they finally get him to the turf at the 47 Auburn lines up quickly one of the things I love about this offense is they're very verstile in their passing attack they throw to receivers and tight ends and the screen game is big as well this guy is a weapon you're seeing that here early not able to break the big one on that screen to the running back but he found enough and a solid pick up on first down offense get set for second down5 [Applause] from the shotgun the inside Ki and you can forget running in the middle against this defense defense is about firing off hitting the offensive guys and staying in your gaps everybody knowing where they're supposed to be you could tell the defense everyone was right where they're supposed to be nowhere to run here comes a third down situation and the defense hasn't been able to slow them down they're setting up the screen they finally get him stopped but what a good job by that front wall to set up the screen and create some Lan for their running back the give on the inside he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three well and how about this uh offense you think of this offense you think of throwing the football and top 10 passing in all of college football but the defense knew something right like you could tell they were going to come out and run the football they brought out the goal line brought in some big boys and really was ready for the run on that play looking for a man it's Thor and he was hit just as he released it and it falls to the turf doesn't take this defense a lot of time to get to the quarterback man they've got speed all over the place they hit him so quickly and because of that the ball Falls incomplete oh what a grab by the defense trying to take it back he's at the 40 a really good return after the interception puts them in business at the 29 and that right there is a huge reason why this team has a winning record coming into this game their defense takes the ball away and here on the opening drive you see the athleticism in the back end of the defense picking it off and putting it in Great field position for their own short Fields make successful offense is just what they want here out of the gun to give to the back and the running back didn't get much there nice job by the defense you can tell they're focused in on this running back on this run game being physical getting knockbacks and limiting his carries he's going to pass on second down and this one's going to be incomplete he was trying to make the connection in the back corner of the end zone a little less room to work with now as the ball's at the 28 and it's third and long unloads to the wide out wide open downfield and he'll run it into The End Zone touchdown warhawks and what a nice start for this offense the throw game getting working getting the touchdown pass this quarterback getting a little bit of confidence this passing game getting in a rhythm nice start for this offense well you could draw a line in the middle and he would have hit that [Applause] thing the officials offered the deal and the coach accepts it they will take the penalty the kickoff team out there to boost it away in 15 yds farther up the field after the roughing the kicker penalty here comes the offense on first down they're going to open this drive with a pass finds his tight end good call good execution as they move the chains and they have a first down at the 38 the Tigers come to the line in the hurry up to throw it's Thor his man down the middle really nice job there by both guys the throw and the catch to work that defense and get the first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs wants to throw on first down pulls it in it's Coleman this quarterback right now is in a Groove and he's doing a nice job in Pre snap he's reading the coverage and he's getting an idea of where he wants to go with the football that's why the ball's coming out of his hands so quickly that's why he seems like he's in a great Rhythm right now just enough room to gain a couple down to the 34 you see if they go back to the run here on third down to the ground to try to pick up the first and they'll finally get him down after a terrific pickup all right well look I know the defense was feeling real good about their run de coming into this one and how they've been playing up to this point but finally David the offense breaks through and they finally generate something positive on the ground I can't tell you how easy it is when you're going to throw the ball consistently and I know it I'm going to pin my ears back and I'm going to get to the quarterback it makes life really easy on the defensive line but when you can have balance now the defense doesn't know what's coming they need more of this if they're going to be successful on offense from the gun leaves it on the inside with the back operating in the Red Zone here on second down they'll run it out of the shotgun and he was fortunate not to lose yardage on that play able to wedge it back to the line of scrimmage not a lot of ground to cover and not much to defend a big third down in the Red Zone they'll throw it to the back on the screen and the catch and run into the end zone touchdown tiger [Applause] [Music] My Philosophy on going for two is only when you have to easy looking to pass It's Thorn safe completion on the screen worked on the touchdown might as well do the the same thing on the two-point conversion he gets all eight points on that trip almost ready to kick it away after scoring the touchdown and no chance at a return here they'll start this drive at their own 25 guys we'll see what this war hawk offense can get done this time now they need to put something together to answer that last score there's a lot of pressure too on this offense to have to execute at a high level they've got to score points they but they can't go too fast cuz their defense right now is tied and I think that's the difficulty being a play call like I have to balance all of those things my defense is a little bit tired I can't put on the field but I got to be aggressive because this is a back and forth type game so a lot to process and think about they've got it at the 37 it's first and 10 secondary walks up on the line showing press coverage that's what you expect from a senior don't give them any extra yards great tackle there picked up two yards on that last one they need eight on second down from the gun give on the inside and they'll stop him after a minimal pickup yeah and the running back didn't get much here but you know you clearly want to always establish the tempo run the football be consistent make that defense physically meet the challenge pressure coming a little screen to the running back they finally get him stopped but what a good job by by that front wall to set up the screen and create some lanes for their running [Applause] back give to the back and a short gain on this run and that will bring us to the end of the first that's the end of the quarter an Auburn has the lead and after that first quarter let's see if these guys can get back in the game in the second [Applause] we'll get this quarter going with a second down play linebackers trying to create some confusion the give out of the gun the warhawks get it past the sticks I love when players understand situations and they understand where the first down marker is and they understand where I got to get to a lot of people you'll see run north south and try to bounce out wide and make big plays sometimes it's not about making big plays sometimes it's about getting that first down to make sure I get an extra set of downs instead of trying to make those big touchdown runs dropping back it's moty fires to the big fella and good coverage by the defense just a short gain a nice job by the defense there tackling the catch and smothering the tight end they know this offense is going to try to find him in the passing game in a lot of different situations that time perfect coverage and nice job bringing the big guy down not easy to do that pass is well off Target he got hit as he was trying to throw and they can't convert on third down and it's no good and after the Miss they're still down by a single and Auburn is ready to go back to work on offense going up top on first down that one never had a chance incomplete after the quarterback and receiver couldn't connect it's second and 10 he's looking to throw and they're not quite in Rhythm there it's incomplete if they can convert here that type of play can really give you a shot of momentum wide receiver coming across in motion setting up the screen defense was not fooled by that screen to the back and they'll stop him short of the marker it'll be fourth down Auburn to the line in a hurry he'll try to throw and pick up the first down finds him out of the back field they make the stop but not before for the screen has hit him for a first down and much more really good execution by this offense and they're showing you their intentions early in the game it's fourth down you're in your own end we're going to be aggressive and we're not just going to do this early we're going to do this all game long awesome execution on a critical down to the ground with the back and I think they'll give him two on that one second and eight coming up and the defense doing a great job committing to the run when you commit to the run like this obviously you can give up some plays in the passing game but you got to stop the run first after picking up a couple it's second and eight back to throw it's Thorne floats it out in space at the 35 he's loose he's run out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down all right second quarter getting closer to the half offense is still having a lot of success stringing some first downs together defense is going to need to figure something out before they get and he strides his way into the end zone touchdown Auburn and this offense right now they're doing some damage through the air that's now their second passing touchdown they thought coming into this game they were going to have some matchups on perimeter of the field that they could take advantage of and they've done that so far here today got it set up on the outside he's into the end zone the two-point conversion makes it a two- possession game and a nine-point lead about to kick it off after punching it in for the touchdown out of the end zone I know he thinks he can house every return but sometimes s you just have to take a knee as he stopped at the 14 U Monroe has it back on the offense ready to go to work we talk about settling for points but sometimes when you have to settle for nothing David it can be demoralizing yeah and it can definitely be frustrating and I think it leads you to say maybe I go for it more but Jesse I think this offense just needs to put another drive together and just finish Stronger Yeah and and be a little bit less predictable too especially as they get closer and closer down to the end zone and now you just can completely flipped how I play defense I'm not really worried about the quarterback running the football I'm like okay he's he's number three or four on my list of who I think can beat me but now he does that now it puts it in the back of my mind I got to think about it I got to stay home I got to stay disciplined nice little nice little curve ball by the offense dialing up the second down pass play had to throw it before he wanted that pass is in complete and they're probably fortunate that it wasn't knock free for a fumble after the second down now misfire looking at a third and eight they'll Run play action he tosses one high and deep down the left side oh and it's picked off threw it right into the teeth of double coverage who says defensive backs don't have hands nice job breing the football and making the catch a lot of times you see guys SWAT it down or you see them trying to catch it looks like they have two left hands defensive packs don't catch real well nice job reging the football nice job securing the int is actually catching now here comes that Auburn offense onto the field again man what a drive last time for the touchdown that passing attack was Lethal David yeah and you know you hear all these stupid commentators like me and Jesse talking about create balance you know run and pass no when you throw that good spin the ball around so the defense has to find a way to affect the quarterback on this drive because last drive he had way too much time to thr from the 47 yd line on First and 10 quickly out to the tight end ripping through the defense and getting it all the way down to the 24 yd line Auburn lines up quickly the magic bean is spinning out of control already over 200 yds in the first half yeah they're being aggressive offensively throwing the football trying to take advantage of this defense on the back end they've got their back right now in a Groove they say you could call holding on every play well they did on that one but they're just making things harder now it's first and 20 leaves it with the back at the 20 he's got [Applause] space going to work in the Red Zone they can't pick up the first down without getting it into the end zone he'll pull it on the read nowhere to run on that one he loses four on the carry as we reach the two-minute warning they'll need to try to get a stop to keep this thing from getting out of [Applause] hand back to pass it's Thorne they're trying to get to him headed to the end zone it's a fumble and this fumble will squirt out of bounds you start to get that offense going and start having success you got to make sure when you get closer to the scoring range I take care of that football if you don't coach is going to go you on the sideline you in the [Applause] game go straight ahead into the end zone he goes touchdown Auburn the Mantra is always finished and they're trying to do that here in the regular season with this week 12 performance and no no secret about it line up in goal line formation I'm going to run the ball down your throat my guys are more physical than you six points on the play and now they'll try to get the two-point conversion guys looking to throw using the back as a receiver on the screen he's got a nose for that goal line first he scored the touchdown now he makes his way in for the two-point conversion about to kick it away after scoring the touchdown and he'll just take a knee and this drive will start at the 25 guys we'll see what this Warhawk offense can get done this time boy they've been caught in a buzz saw here in the first half of maybe a chance to carry some momentum into the break here it all comes down to this drive right here ree obviously this offense hasn't had everything go right for them in the first half but here's an opportunity David to execute some plays put some throws together and generate some points and you're right Jesse and this offense needs to start now like we got to get some points on the board create some momentum and continue it cuz you've dug yourself a significant hope now from the 40 it's first and 10 he's looking to throw [Applause] it he is stopped behind the line of scrimmage they'll lose yards on that one there's a timeout called as this offense tries to find a way to draw a little closer to the air it's booty coming after him he's got his man they make the stop right there good pickup it's still short of the first down and the warhawks headed quickly to the [Applause] line in the gun looking to throw on third down finds a man on the left now they're really starting to threaten as they pick up the first down at the 34 yard line DB's right up on the receiver he makes a catch that is exactly what you're looking for when you talk explosive plays the defense finally able to make the stop the warhawks will snap it on First and 10 they've marched to the Red Zone and here they go can't make the grab as he was looking for his man right at the goal line man these windows get tighter down here in the red zone and those catches are a little bit more contested more people near you and it gets a little a little bit more difficult but you need your players to step up for your QB and make big plays I think he's going to look back and say I should have made that play they get it down to the seven on that pass play in Prime position for a score they'd love to pick up this third down and get a fresh set with first and goal shotgun snap wants to throw it on third it's complete and he will score touchdown you El Monroe and I tell you what that passing touchdown man that should spark this whole team like The Comeback is more than on now like they got the touchdown they cut into the lead you want to get a stop and go into the half get all the juices all the excitement and be like listen the passing games rolling we got this The Comebacks in full effect he'll start the return inside his spot he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 and Auburn is ready to go back to work on offense now you find out just how much of a gunslinger you are will you roll the dice here late in the half D and you know the defense is going to be really really conservative so I think it's an opportunity to be able to take a shot see how much of a chunk you can get before then you decide really Jesse how you want to finish the half just can't turn it over and throw a pick the quarterback here you have got to be so smart if you're going to be aggressive with your decision Mak he's got the back in the middle and been field he's got R big big gain on that one as he steps out of bounds with a first down just a few seconds remaining here as they try to put something up before halftime they'll throw it on first down unloads it left the pass is incomplete and the clock will stop with 5 seconds left my job is to make sure that ball comes loose and I got to go through that guy use my shoulder pad drive my feet and really really be physical cuz if he bobbles it at all or as soon as his hand gets to the ball you can tell the difference when that body jerks forward and that ball starts to come loose and top quick timeout from the offense to save precious seconds waning seconds of the first half and they'll try to tack on a three before they head to the locker room this is going to be a 46 ydd field goal attempt smashes it between the uprights and the field goal to end the half takes it to halftime that's the end of the second quarter that means it's time to join Kevin in our halftime update thanks guys a first half that saw a little bit of everything there on the planes and we have to start this halftime breakdown by addressing the play of this Elite wide receiver this is clearly a young man who once he's finished playing on Saturdays he's going to be playing playing on Sundays the kid has different gears he has a knack for finding gaps in the defense and I can't remember a college player with that kind of catch radius and with that let's send it back to the guys at Pat die field in Jordan hair Auburn ready to boot it deep to start the second half and it'll be a Touchback the ball will come out to the 20 yd line U Monroe has it back in the offense ready to go to work they got a lot done through the air in the first half and they might need even more production here in the second I think they will Ree and and I think this is an offense that has proven they're playing with good timing right now they've got some matchups where they're winning oneon-one and they're just going to have to keep going back to the well David and relying on hitting some explosive plays to win this game yeah and I think we look at numbers naturally and and they're losing so that's the most important thing on the score scoreboard but they have had success and so what do you do you keep playing pitch and catch you got to score but you got to talk to your defense I need some stops I need the football back quickly so we can do some more damage they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one and the warhawks are in the hurry up trying to move the sticks on third down through the air right on the money to the outside he dragged the toe oh and how about the ball placement only the receiver could get man what a big catch on third down going up catching the football understanding where you're at now getting a fresh set of downs nice play by the receiver he's brought down solid pick up but a little bit short of the first [Applause] down got his man downfield and he almost ran away from everybody on that one a huge pick up on that play the biggest rule change for me if I could make one in all of college football would be legal man downfield and when they run these RPO plays and those linan start to creep further and further down the field I would love for the refs to call those more often it's a cheating play basically running these rpos so hard to stop nice execution by the offense they probably cheat going to work on second down in the red zone is still some ground to cover to pick up that first down he'll keep it himself they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one boy they'd love to pick up this conversion and go to work with a first and goal to the air it's booty receiver looks it in it's complete and he's not going to make it the defense denying him the first down and here comes the field goal unit for the second time time tonight it is perfect hold on just a second guys flag on the [Applause] play might be the worst case scenario for this defense thought they'd held them to three now the offense with a chance for more here's the hand off he steps and powers and works his way they finally get him down at the [Applause] two second and goal coming [Applause] up he's looking to throw can't make the grab as he was going for six right there after getting nothing on the last play will they try to run it in from the two on third down from the gun wants to pass it's incomplete was shooting for the end zone right there and for the second time tonight they'll try out the field goal kicker a really short kick but you got to have that angle just right oh he missed it no good that one may sting a little guys instead of getting it down to 10 feeling good about things still a 13-point [Applause] lead got it in the middle it's fair weather and the big fella couldn't elude the cornerback who makes a sure tackle right on target with that last pass now it's second and medium On The Run it's Hunter he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple a third and long coming up here get wants to throw It's Thorn get it out on the screen didn't have much room to run and not a whole lot of help short gain there and still plenty of ground to cover for the first down Auburn's going to have to send out the punt team first time today we've seen a punter go to work he will signal for the fair Catch and take it just inside the 35 guys we'll see what this Warhawk offense can get done this time you want to talk about taking the wind out of your sails Drive the ball down the field and miss the field goal D you know what don't leave it up to Kickers execute better offensively I think you move the ball nice you got to keep that in mind but Palmer I think you got to stay aggressive and don't settle for field goals yeah because you got to know there's just no margin for error right now you just have got to be able to execute at a higher level gets it out fast a quick tackle made but he's got plenty for the first down a new set of downs after the completion they'll throw it on first down it's it's complete to the left and he was just a couple of steps away from taking that one even further after the catch well we see another catch by this guy this defense is going to need to do a better job of tackling the catch in coverage I know they want to slap the ball away but if you can't do it and force the incompletion you've got to at least make sure you're able to drag him down to the ground as soon as he catches the ball using the quick game and a good good job in coverage there as they stop it after just a few tried to pound it on first down now back to the line they want to just keep throwing it that's caught it's Bailey he's close to the first down but they're going to Mark him just a little short well a nice completion there finding the tight end and what's so beautiful about that is while they didn't get the first they were able to pick up enough yards now to make the third down manageable really putting this offense in a good position just outside the red zone as they pick up the first down they'll spot it at the 22 the warhawks come to the line with a fresh set of downs dropping back it's booty they're working that left side that's about as close as you can get to that marker and it will be second and just a few breaths away from the first down well the offense just taking what the defense gives them there there's a lot of cushion out in coverage so that that was just too easy for the quarterback spits it out and they pick up the first lowers that shoulder delivers the blow he's brought down but he's got him inside the 10 first and goal from the eight you know you start day one of training camp running your base runs you need a few yards you run these plays you need a first down you run these plays you read them over and over and over again not sexy they're not pretty but in the end they're effective and they get you that new set of downs when you need it I like this guy as a running back because he can run between the tackles and he can also go outside he can really do it [Applause] all they'll run it to the left here looking for the goal line one step W twep squeeze this junior knows how to get him on the ground this is a money play on Third and [Applause] goal he took a hit as he threw it and couldn't deliver the football it's incomplete and fourth Down's coming they'll try to salvage a field goal on this drive and this one splits the uprights well the head coach decided to play it safe on Fourth and inches and try his field goal team out there and his field goal kicker just made him look like a pretty smart gu here he comes from inside his own five and didn't find much room at all as he'll go out of Bounds at the 12 now here comes that Auburn offense onto the field again last time David it was one two three kick the last drive that three and out sometimes that puts your defense in a bad spot and you got to get a drive together here so you don't wear the defense out I just think David too predictable that last Drive they got to do something here to get this defense on the heels as they get set to snap it just about to reach the end of the quarter they'll run it from the gun and he's got enough for a first down now to see if they have enough time to snap it again here in the third that's the end of the quarter and Auburn has the lead let's take a quick look at the national rankings to see how this playoff race is shaping [Applause] up one more period to go to see who can make the winning plays and come home with the [Applause] victory they'll break the seal on this quarter here on first down he's going to pass just a short pass to the tight end and he is marked out of bounds after another big gain this aerial attack has had no problem moving the ball with chunk play well I tell you man this guy's been putting on a show all game long we've seen his decision making we've seen his athleticism because of him they've got this huge lead in the fourth quarter so why stop throwing it just keep it going when the Going's good you want to talk about making it easy for an offensive coordinator you pick up a bunch of yards on first down make that second down really really manageable that's a great job by the offense 6yd pickup on first down leaves him with second and four looking downfield it's Thorne and the pass is incomplete thanks to a big hit what a hit by the defender that's a good throw and that was going to be caught but how about the defender dislodging the football from its intended target nice job third down play from the gun caught close to the marker it's Coleman third down conversions are huge and they've got one and they're at the 35 and with that one he's now over three bills for the game and there's two reasons why reys he's made good decisions and he's been accurate throwing the football all game long he wants to throw got a man it's Coleman and he was loose and in the open field and on his way a tremendous pick up on that one you know what's interesting at this point of the game with the lead in the fourth quarter the defense is expecting them to run the ball and because they're putting so many guys close to the line of scrimmage they're taking advantage throwing it two straight completions now back to and it's intercepted maybe breathing a little life into this team and a big return after the int sets up the offense for this possession all right sens ofcy now has to go through the roof of this team they needed their defense to come up with that turnover right there so if you're on offense you got to get these plays called you got to get aggressive take some shots and this sophomore able to wreak some havoc and get the sack the defense coming up big there and the sack is great but the secondary deserves some credit too no doubt you can cover like that in the secondary and drop back in your Zone and only Rush a few and you feel comfortable getting home and they're going to get to the quarterback that is a great feeling and that's fun to be a defensive coordinator calling the plays on third down he drops to throw looking left got him downfield oh he got loose The Tackle is made but he's got it first and goal from the six now the chance to pay off that big play from just outside the five Corner showing press they want to be physical here to the air it's booty they're bringing heat and he can't escape and down he goes defense rolls up deep in its own end on that last play now a second and long coming he's looking to throw lets it Fly and that one and is picked off in the end zone it doesn't get any better for your defense you know exactly the situation in the fourth quarter everything in your favor don't let him make big plays how about you make a big play nice job getting the interception it's not icing on the cake yet but it's getting pretty close trying to get to it and the defense makes a play sacking him back at the 10 dealing with a second and 10 from the 20 25 he's looking to throw this will be picked off maybe just the turning point they needed touchdown warhawks the defense with a huge momentum swing taking it all the way in how fast did this game just change offense in the lead with the football looking great defense makes the big play we've got ourselves a ball game now now and right down the [Applause] middle so the decision has been made and the coach will take the penalty they're about to kick it away and the defense probably can't wait to get back out there after the pick [Applause] [Music] six and Auburn is ready to go back to work on offense well the good news is they threw a touchdown pass last time it was just to the wrong team Jesse well that's unfortunate part of the game for quarterbacks but guess what they do happen so you've got to be able to turn the page here and Lead this offense well I think you know this defense is going to be aggressive they're going to jump routes they're going to play aggressive you got to take advantage of that maybe use that this time to your advantage I'll be honest man if I had the weapons these guys had offensively I'd be staying aggressive too it's what got them this point it's why they have the lead here in the fourth quarter take some shots when those opportunities present themselves to the air on first down they've got the screen set up still on his feet finally run out of bounds but he has this offense rolling with a first down fresh set of downs after the completion they'll try to keep this clock moving on the ground and he's swallowed up at the line of scrimmage by the big defensive tackle awesome job up front by this defensive line being so good at the point of attack and eating blocks eating some double teams that allows these linebackers to run free unencumbered and get to the football we've reached a two-minute warning in this offense trying to milk this clock and keep time on their side ordinarily on second and 10 you might look past but here you just want to keep that clock moving they'll run the screen he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense that play is going to drive the head coach absolutely crazy you've got the lead why are you going out of bounds just get down lead the clock the clock right now is your friend timeout called there by the defense desperate to get the ball back and save as much time as possible now on second down and we'll probably see another run and that might do it if they can get a first down he'll run it again he'll get that one all the way down to the four yd line before he stop quick timeout called by the defense stopping the clock to save as much time as possible for their offense the clock and the scoreboard on their side as they come to the line first and goal they'll try to get it in with the run and he got nothing in the line of scrimmage is still the 5 yd line defense uses a Time out quickly trying to get that ball back and preserve time for their offense can the D deny them on second and [Applause] goal looking to throw it's Thorne just not quite able to make the connection it's tigers that is the ultimate grab and go for the score and you know late in the games offenses sometimes get conservative when they got the lead and they got the ball I love this offense they were aggressive they got another score added to the lead now you're trying to Salt this game away here we go he wants to throw it they're setting up the screen worked on the touchdown might as well do the same thing on the two-point conversion he gets all eight points on that trip so they put together a npl 75 yd drive and the score comes on a 5yd touchdown pass and he's going to bring it out not nearly as much as he' hoped when he brought it out of the end zone he'll be stopped at the 15 U Monroe has it back in the offense ready to go to work that last Drive was promising for a while but you just can't mess it up at the end with the pick Jessy no You' got to be able to finish drives especially in this game if you're going to win in David they've got to be able to eliminate the mental mistakes yeah and I don't think you get conservative or play it safe you can trust your guy I think you put the ball right back in his hands and let him do his thing hit hard just as he released it on first down and just couldn't get it to the receiver and and the incompletion brings up a second down for this offense he's looking to [Applause] throw that pressure got to him and he just had to Chuck it out of bounds Ball's at the 27 this offense facing a third and long back to the air one more time he wants a big play here late makes the grab on the right and he was Off to the Races finally tripped up at the [Applause] 36 defense trying to keep this offense from getting a line on who to block looks as if they didn't get it off in time it'll be a delay of game there's a difference between being methodical and thorough and slow they were slow and they got the flag scanning the field it's booty feeling some heat always a welcome play for the defense as they get a backck at the 47 now they've got to hustle to the line and get set and they spike it and get the clock [Applause] stopped I'm not positive but that first down marker might be in the next County on Third and long a check down would be the last resort and the quarterback is snowed under time out called by the defense 13 seconds to go down by multiple possessions you can't come up empty on this drive they'll go for it on fourth down he's taking a deep shot late in the game incomplete on fourth down and man did they need to keep that drive alive and That Just About Does it that's about puts this thing to bed the offense listen they had to they had to go for it but now defense this is the situation when you say I'm just going to eat clock up by several possessions eat clock get out of here with a W first down for this offense looking to move it through the air makes the catch is Hunter he's R out of bounds but not before turning in a big pickup and moving the sticks for a first [Music] down they get the timeout and the clock reads three seconds and they'll send the field goal team back out for the second time tonight this is not a straight on Kick a 42 y from the right hatch field goal is good and that will extend their lead even further winning those individual six battles every Play Time After Time After Time After Time and that leads to a victory here and I love when teams go out and play like it's sudden death like if they lose the game their entire season is over this game wasn't for the national championship but wouldn't you wouldn't know that watching this winning team David tremendous effort and tremendous execution I love competitive people I love competitive coaches I love competitive teams that they know that their job is to go out and get a w no matter how no matter
