together here so you don't wear the defense out I just think daveid too predictable that last Drive they got to do something here to get this defense on their heels got some of the work done on first now let's see what they have on second down that's a great example of the defense there tackling the catch as soon as the big fella caught the ball and he intercepts it made the play on the pick was hoping to make one on the return he'll have to settle for letting the offense pay it off from the 26 timing has to be so good when you're throwing into his zone defense over the middle of the field the ball's got to come out specifically on time because these windows close really quickly ball there thrown a little bit late as a result it's an INT B man miss and they're able to force him out of bounds after a short pick up it's just so nice to know you can start off on first down with positive plays positive yards handle football off set up a good second down solid pick up of four on first down it's second and six moving out of the pocket and not much going on downfield he just get rid of it and Live to play another down know the situation know the game of football right when I start to get outside the pocket I don't see anything there I can throw the ball away I don't have to take a sack get a lost yardage play I can just throw the ball out of bounds as long as it passes the line of scrimmage we go on to the next down no harm no foul scanning the field it's fores fires to the wide out and the pass it's picked off he was looking for room to return that but he'll just hand it to the offense they'll take over at the 18 some defensive players just have a b I've played with guys throughout the course of my career that you can't coach it it's not speed it's not strength it's literally I know when to break on the football how to go get it and how to pull it in it's just a nck out across the 20 to the 21 yd line a three yd gain and those physical runs take a toll it might not be a big game now but down the road third fourth quarter late in the ball games they tend to turn into bigger runs got three on first down it's second and seven he's looking to throw quickly out to the tight end and the catch was one thing and the Run even better a big pick up on that one they pick up the first down on the drag route I know that seems like a simple rout but it's actually a lot more complex than what it looks like because that route changes based on whether it's man or Zone if it's man coverage he's flying across the field if it's Zone he's got to sit down over the ball in a soft spot giving his quarterback a place to go with it nice job with those guys he's got it on the left nothing but green grass down the middle touchdown TCU and once he found open space the band might as well start playing how about that quarterback taking the shot down field and delivering to the wide open receiver I love this quarterback re cuz he's aggressive he wants to take shots he's looking for every opportunity to show off that Cannon and that arm Talent he showed it to all of us right there the kickoff bounces through the end zone they'll bring it out to the [Applause] 25 afraid to throw it this drive and offensively I love running these drag routes I mean these are the routes that whether it's Zone whether it's man they're so successful it's just about seeing what the defense is doing doing and getting it to him in open space nice job the wide receiver have some space after the catch able to go make extra yards nice pitching catch SC TI 7 to will start the quarter offense about to snap it on second down to the air it's foret fires to the middle nice defensive play to get a hand in there and knock it away this defense is heating up they got an interception in the last possession you can tell breaking on the football really really well seeing where the quarterback's throwing it going and try to get it got another hand on it almost had another interception caught near the sticks it's Presley we asked earlier this week who's your favorite receiver and of course he said the open one but we know who he really wants to go to on third down the best one I mean I think the open one obviously the politically correct answer but you want to find the guy that you got that great chemistry with you know exactly where he's going to be you got that Bond and that trust how about the defender being a heat seeking missile he was on radar lock he found the football and flew down with some bad intentions nowhere close on that one as he got drilled trying to deliver the football and now they Pace third [Applause] down they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here on Third and long try to convert through the air working on the right really nice job to convert that third down and they've got it at the 33 well this tight end can run these Crossing patterns and he can catch the ball against man coverage or Zone coverage that time nice job seeing the ball in helping his QB out miles ahead for a pick up of one to the 32 and sticking to the run I tell you what a lot of teams that are really good are really stubborn and they continue to run the football even with little success so this offense is going to continue to focus on running the football you can tell they go to the draw fighting off the defender he make the stop as he gets it inside the 30 to the 28 a gain of four and as an offense having success on a run play like that early in the game just opens up all the possibilities of your playbook leaving for play action running the ball throwing the ball screens anything is at your disposal at this point he took a hit as he threw it and couldn't deliver the football it's incomplete and fourth Down's coming and they'll have to settle for a field goal try he's going to try to punch one through from 45 yds away and the kicker delivers the three ball to finish off the drive and with that they've taken the lead and take shots they're going to try and keep their secondary players in a position to make these types of plays good job on the back end forcing that incompletion they're setting up the screen he breaks a tackle they make the stop but not before the screen has hit him for a first down and much more really good execution by this offense and the horn frogs come to the line with a fresh set of downs looking to move it through the air he turns that loose down the right side and there's an example of what happens when the quarterback doesn't have a chance to set his feet the pressure just forced him to have to work off schedule a little bit and I think because of that wasn't able to be as accurate as he wanted to be pocket starts to collapse that pass is incomplete and they're probably fortunate that it wasn't knock free for a fumble pressure got to the QB that time he was trying to find his check down out of the back field but the hit forced the [Applause] incompletion on Third and long trying to have a big completion here unloads to the Wi out and the ball is picked off not a lot on the return but they can live with that as they've got it at the 49 this is obviously not a great start for this quarterback here two interceptions already in this game he's got to do a much better job with his decision making wide receiver coming across in motion wants to throw on first down send it downfield and a big play on the outside what a job to keep those feet in bounds and get the completion and how about the big strike down the field I love when offenses take shots down the field try to make big plays now they're set up in the Red Zone they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one I love this linebacker because he's able to dissect what's happening in front of him and he reacts downhill uses his speed to get to the line of scrimmage and create the negative Play It's the two-minute warning and we'll see if the offense can tack a little something extra on their answers right second quarter getting closer to the half offense is still having a lot of success stringing some first downs together defense is going to need to figure something out before they get to way all the way down to the three and the defense is reeling and with the stuff there Jesse on second down this little third to midrange you got two downs what are you thinking here maybe getting your third and goal from the gun wants to pass feeling some heat and they can't make the play on third down got to give the defense credit on that play taking everything away forcing the incompletion now it's decision time fourth and short in your in field goal range what do you do here and here comes the field goal unit for the second time tonight no good it's still a three-point game after the minut and that's just the Chip Shot that's just a field goal they got to make TCU has back in the horn frogs go on offense mistakes are going to happen as they did on that last drive now how will they respond Jesse and this is the kind of guy who's going to take full accountability that was my bad that's on me I'm about to lead this offense now down the field score some points dang Palmer I wish I before the break to build momentum Jesse but you've also had some miscues on offense a big part of why you're losing theame game right now i' take it into halftime make my adjustments and come out ready in the second half yeah I'm going to take it in halftime too Paul but I'm trying to put some points up right here be aggressive set the tone be like Hey listen this is what you're going to get in the second half so find something really quickly you can go to hey get him down after he makes a catch they'll try to kick it into overdrive clocks running second down coming he's looking to throw going for the big play catch inside the 30 and still running this defense giving up ground as he's finally knocked down at the 26 there's a timeout called as this offense tries to find a way to draw a little closer the horn frogs will have it first and 10 quarterback checking the play he wants to throw fires toward the end zone and it's caught touchdown hard frog and I tell you what that passing touchdown man that should sparkk this whole team like The Comeback is more than on now like they got the touchdown they cut into the lead you want to get a stop and go into the half get all the juices all the excitement and be like listen the passing game's rolling we got this The Comeback some P they got the late touchdown on the board now about to kick it away and hoping the defense can keep them from answering so much for the Touchback here he comes rolling the dice to bring it out of the end zone did not work out as he stopped at the 13 the offense lining up for a first down play they'll crank up this drive with the pass oh he's going to try to get it all here he holds it in and nobody's close the offense will have to use its first time out of the half time does the few seconds remaining here as they try to put something up before halftime looking to throw it's fores steps away and he's left with no option but to throw it away good decision by the QB you're outside the pocket you're trying to find an open Target no one's open throw it away and Live to play another day one more snap coming before halftime right back to the air on second and 10 unleashes one deep throw into the end zone it's picked off that's going to wrap up the first half here and now we join Kevin with the halftime [Applause] update and the horn frogs will kick it off to start the second half that one bouns through the end zone and it'll be a [Applause] Touchback Oklahoma State hoping to get the pistols firing on offense they had this lead to start the third quarter because of the passing game didn't get a lot done on the ground they didn't but the quarterback is in a rhythm that was obvious in the first half and so this first drive you want to continue that you want to see good decision making you want to see him playing on time and as always delivering the football I I mean I don't know how I don't give him the football it's the reason I built the lead he's the guy that I can trust this offense is built around him so I expect more of the same here in the second half he'll come out throwing on first down got his man quickly stopped after making the catch my coach said you'll never go broke taking a profit take what's there take the positive yards and never complain now on second down after the short [Applause] completion back to throw it's fores gets it out fast he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense you got to give the o line a lot of credit there because it gave the receiver time to work all the way across the field on the drag route against Zone coverage quarterback gets it to him he's able to turn it up and get a first down [Applause] easy they'll throw it on first down pulls it in it's Presley crosses the 30 he got away they're able to keep him out of the end zone he'll be stopped at the two after the big play in the passing game how nice is it as a quarterback when you don't have to throw post routes to get great stats no I can just throw quickly to one of the fastest players in the entire nation and let him burn this defense and he takes it to the house touchdown Cowboys they'll try to add another to their lead Precision blocking up front created the open Lane and the running back followed it beautifully yeah I it's pretty easy to follow an offensive line that makes those holes and just gives you a caravan all the way to the end zone what an unbelievable job blocking up front from inside his own 10 let's see what he gets not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 TCU has it back in the horn frogs go on offense they are trailing by 10 here Jesse but this is the type of team that seems comfortable in an offensive shootout you got to hold serve at this point right you got to drive the field put some more points up on the board yeah they just scored you can answer that now and keep this thing close David and I think you're used to that as offense like football is so fastpaced now and you score so quickly it's not that big of a deal to get down 10 you keep being you keep being aggressive they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one well the linebacker showing you read and react he knew exactly where that running play was going and he beat the football to the line of scrimmage and forced the tfl and this offense just can't afford not to get the first down here already trailing big and the clock is and this sophomore able to wreak some Havoc and get the sack great job up front on this pass rush defense in a dime Personnel grouping they've got 6bs on the field they're expecting pass so they're going to have to win with four guys and they're 41 they got the job done Oklahoma state has it back and the offense is on the field Jesse a very productive Drive last time wound up with a touchdown yeah mixing and matching play calling really well nice balance on that last one dayve we'll see what they can do here in this next Drive yeah and I don't expect anything different when you put together a drive like that I would do more of the same keep the pace keep it going no gain on first down after the incompletion now second and 10 from the 40 back to throw it's fores and he really needed to hold on to that one but it was not loose and third down is coming well that's just a great play by the defender and great timing it was the hit that forced that incompletion third down conversions are a huge stat and this one would be a doozy if they can pull it off from the gun wants to pass unloads to the right he's got it and he is marked out of bounds after another big gain this aerial attack has had no problem moving the ball with chunk play and it looks as if they've buzzed down replay wants to have another peek at that last play and they take another look at the play but the officials on the field were right and the play will stand the Cowboys with the first and [Applause] 10 got some room headed to the goal line pistol fire ing touchdown cowboy and they take it in for six more points they want to finish the season strong and man or they doing that here in this week 11 performance this defense is going to have to do a better job being physical that's two rushing touchdowns they've now allowed they have got to be better close to the line of scrimmage here's the return from inside his 10 he was looking for four Running Room but none to be found as he stopped at the 23 TCU will send its offense back onto the field boy three and out last time David they'd like to be more productive this time around yeah in the last Drive nothing really clicked no rhythm got off the field really really quickly they need to put something together here OPP yeah David bad execution on that last drive so they got to take a collective breath and start playing like a unit yeah and a really nice job by the QB seeing linebackers are a little bit soft playing pass give the rock hand it off let the running back do the rest gets it out quickly he's brought down solid pickup but a little bit short of the first down this defense is going to have to be careful not only do they have to worry about this guy running the football but they've got to keep their eye on him when he runs routes too he is a versatile back they're bringing heat nowhere close on that one as he got thrilled trying to deliver the football and now they face third down that last incomplete pass has him staring at a third and three on Third and short they'll try to throw for it good timing on the quick out found enough room to get it into enemy territory there down at the 43 yd line well look that wasn't a touchdown but that was a massive play for this offense they needed some momentum they needed to find a rhythm in what better way and converting on third down awesome job by the quarterback getting to his it's hard to run on a defense that comes off the ball like that and runs to the football like that good luck no holes anywhere they'll Run play action looking to the big tight end and it's picked off again his night vision hasn't been on par he was trying to get that return going instead he'll hand it to his offense at the 38 the defense has been all over this quarterback all game long it's almost as if they know where he's going to throw that now the third interception he's thrown using the back as a receiver on the screen they finally get him stopped but what a good job by that front wall to set up the screen and create some lanes for their running back great job too by the QB there holding the ball as long as possible allowing the pass rush to up field and at the very last second getting it to his guide so that he can go get the first down outside the pocket lets it go it's caught downfield they'll finally drag him down but not before he gets it to the 40 and it's a first down nice job by the receiver on the back end there too he sees his quarterback on the Run moving and he just works to get himself open to give his guy a place to throw the football they're able to connect they keep the drive going and he'll step across the sideline have making a good gain on that one that's the end of the third qu with the score Oklahoma State TCU 14 we'll get this quarter going with a second down play dropping back it's fores a little release to the back there to make the stop but he is is a weapon out of the back field in the short passing game and they've got a first down and a great job by the QB finding the running back getting the football where he can do some damage after the catch and most importantly get the first down grab behind the line it's Stewart well it's a nice job to of the quarterback after the play fake there getting his eyes down the field he had to get that to his tight end quickly knowing he wasn't going to have a lot of space to run with after the catch now here on second down see if they keep tossing it around fast motion from the offense on second down just keeps firing catch in the middle it's Owens and they make the tackle but he has plenty for the first down well the defense did a nice job taking everything away down the field but once the drag route was caught they just couldn't rally to the ball carrier in time to make a tackle and as a result new set of downs pulls it in it's Stewart that completion gets them inside the 10 and the defense is running out of room to defend really good concept there to get things going and use the tight end early yeah I mean just such a great job on first down setting up an easier second down understanding I don't always have to push the ball down the field but see the tight end make the throw know it's not a big game but makes life really easy on me on second down and this drive feels like it's just gone on forever right the clock is just tick tick ticking away the defense is aware of that it's got to be frustrating because you just allowed another first down fresh set coming up you touchdown cowboy and The Stomping has commenced they extend this lead and it looks as if they are going to make it two wins in a row oh they blocked the extra point this is a guy that put a lot of pressure on himself coming in this season he felt like he was ready to have a breakout here he knew he had all the tools in the toolbx to be able to get it done and he's showing it that's his 10th rushing touchdown on the season getting the extra point block soured that touchdown drive just a bit but they'll line up to kick it [Applause] off he'll start the return inside is five he was looking for more Running Room but none to be found as he stopped at the 23 TCU has it back in the horn frogs go on offense one of the most valuable things a quarterback can have David shortterm memory just forget that last pick you dang right clear the mechanism and the pressure was too much they get him at the 15 that's a good example there of complimentary defense the DBS and linebackers are playing Zone they're playing their spaces and they force the QB to to have to hold the ball try to work through his progressions then the pass rush they win up front they make the stop but not before he takes a chunk out of what they need to move the sticks you know at this point of the game guys trailing the way they they are late in the game check down throws are not going to get it done you've got to be more aggressive in the passing game you're going to have to and it's his fourth interception of the game and he's wrapped up after a solid return on the pick he up them pass rushers bringing them DBS that's what I'm doing in this situation when I got the lead by a couple scores late in the ball game in the fourth quarter I'm going to rush the passer like crazy I'm going to put all those DBS back playing the pass that's what happened great job understanding they're going to have to take shots we get the interception this one's almost done a solid pick up there before the defense is able to make the stop operating in the Red Zone here on second [Applause] down touchdown Oklahoma State and the route is on Oklahoma State the lead grows and you can sense they know how important wins are this late here in week 11 and the extra point is good finds his rhythm after shanking a couple lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown drive on the move from inside is five and the return man showing great vision to be able to find some space and put his team in much better field position first down here with time for maybe one more play until the two-minute warning by we he'll start this drive fiery he finds a soft spot in the middle they make the stop trying to pick up just a little bit at a time to get to that first down marker right on target with that last pass now it's second and medium they'll run the screen Nifty little dance step they finally get him stopped but what a good job by that front wall to set up the screen and create some lanes for their running back R it easy comes out throwing on first down quick completion on the out route he's there to make the stop but the damage has been done as they pick up the first down on the throwing catch the horn frogs come to the line with a new set of downs they want to just keep throwing it looking for the End Zone almost intercepted they took a shot on first down and just about turn the thing over and this is just one of those days man where everything has gone wrong right like they just haven't been in a rhythm they haven't they haven't got it going and never built the momentum this is this is one of those days you learn from you try to grow from a lot of things that we're going to show in the film room that people aren't going to like but hopefully you can learn from it and do better next time and this offense is going to have to find more explosive plays and it's it's it can't just rely on the Dink and dunk it's going to have to find itself and score more points listen they got beat up today today but moving on in the future they've got some good pieces they got to find a way to fit them together create some explosive plays on this offense cuz today they've been lacking and this defense has put a game together like it is hard to put all the facets of Defense together run defense pass def they've been so good man dialed in you could tell they were ready they were fast they were physical they dominated this football game makes the grab and they finally make the tackle but this will be a pretty easy conversion for this offense from the 17 yd line threatening to score on First and 10 from the Red Zone looking for a man makes the grab it's James touchdown TCU and they add six more to the board with that trip to the house and a nice touchdown continuing to fight continuing to play this one it's pretty much over down multiple possessions this late in the football game it would take a miracle but nice job by this offense continuing to fight push the ball down the field make points almost ready to kick it away after scoring the [Applause] touchdown he's going to try his luck from The End Zone rolling the dice to bring it out of the end zone did not work out as he stopped at the 13 Oklahoma State hoping to get the pistols firing on offense What a Feeling This has has to be David in complete control and headed toward Victory formation yeah no stress under a couple minutes left in the ball game well in hand these are the ones Jesse you like to just run the clock take a knee whatever you want no doubt they're going to love watching this game filmm too there's just so many positives to take away from this and this is the kind of performance today that is really going to help this offense is confidence and they'll bring him down after a short pickup third and short they've got them backed up inside the 20 and the he can get the ball back here here's the handoff he showed it all there a little looseness a little power and he's got the first down I'll say watching this offense this year one of the things you have to be really happy about is their ability to move the sticks this is one of the top 25 offenses in the country in getting first downs that running back is one of the biggest reasons he is a weapon guys this is a really good win for this ball Club as they put together consecutive Victor and in this season that's what you got to do you got to put together good weeks build on each other build that momentum continue to grow as the season goes in yeah David it's all about building confidence and it's really important for these players to go out work hard in practice practice and see that hard work really pay itself off on game days it's a team that's really starting to believe in itself
