offense lining up for a first down play from the gun give on the inside and the defense holds firm no pickup at all on that play they got nothing on the last play it's second and 10 a 6yd pickup that leaves them with third and fourth trying to pick up a first down to the air it's [Applause] green they're working that left side that'll be enough for the first down as they mark it down at the 31 yd line and the Panthers come to the line with a fresh set of downs first down they'll go to the ground fakes his man out oh he still got more he's right out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down this pin offense has been quicking on this drive from the Red Zone looking for a receiver pass rush gets there there gets home gets him down at the 23 pit pushing the pace and the defense coming through with the first sack of the day and I tell you what this defense they get so many negative plays and they play so fast sometimes you think when you watch them on tape they got 12 guys last week they pitched a shut out this week playing a great ball again and the defense dragged him down there's not a lot more beautiful in football than the play action and the open tight end CU it free freees those linebackers it freezes those safeties because they have to come up for a second and play The Run and then the big tight ends big Targets on the back end can catch the football and make big plays they're trying to run the football there's just nowhere to go for the ball carrier inside he tried to bounce it to the outside that linebacker way too fast he met him there and forced the tfl they'll try to pick up the first they'll get him stopped just short of the end zone but they're in business here with a first down man down on the play as the officials take a break to let him be checked out he what happened to this the guy he don't look like got hurt he Bruce he didn't even get hit on first and goal let's see what pit does here touch pass on the Jet Sweep and the defense makes a big hit knocks him down ground on first down now second and goal from the five looking for a path to the end zone to the right they get him on the ground at the three ydd line but this defense is taking some punches they keep pushing forward down to the three but now it's third and goal quarterback changing the plays at the line needs to get it in the end zone on Third and goal they won't let him in he had a nose for that end zone but he will be stopped short sometimes turning your up at easy points can come back to bite you but can they make it pay off by converting on fourth down and he Sprints to the end zone touchdown Pittsburgh and how about this offer a big situation on Fourth and goal and you trust your running back you trust your offensive line you trust the the pit offense back on the field and ready to roll on that last Drive defense had no idea what was happening run or pass that wound up in the end zone Jesse yeah you saw the experience in this offense that last drive too everybody on the same page these guys have rep these plays over and over in practice and in games and it's working yeah so I got to find a way to disrupt it I got to find a way to maybe be more aggressive maybe Blitz mess up this Rhythm they got what a Nifty R there to pick up the first down here's his offense with a fresh set of downs wants to pass it he's going to run it so many rivalries built on proximity and pit and West Virginia have been squaring off in their backyard since 1895 and it's just crazy to think about a rivalry that goes that far back so close to each other it means so much for a year a year of bragging right ball well the hate started in 1895 and every single year every time these two teams play you just see that on the field to the ground to try to move the chains really nice job to convert that third down and they've got it at the 33 and now on first down after converting with the Run quarterback will audible they got him looking run but they're going to throw it and that incomplete pass caused by the big hit on first down second down coming here comes the offense on second down they're looking for an advantage in the running game to the right that play just never had a chance they knock him down for a loss of five seventh play of the drive coming up but a long way to go on third down dropping back it's Hill throws to the wide out he's got it finally pulled down but not before moving the change for a first down everything seems to be working for this offense right now if they keep this up this could get ugly by the fourth quarter PES ahead for a pick up of four down to the 14 going to work in the Red Zone they can't pick up the first down without getting it into the end [Applause] zone looking for a physical attack from the gun not a lot of daylight there let's give him one to the 14 they'd love to pick up this third down and get a fresh set with first and goal little touch pass to the receiver and the completion gives him a fresh set of downs and keeps this drive moving after another clutch third down conversion it's first and goal they'll try to get it in with the run and he got nothing in the line of scrimmages still the five yd line and the D Deni them on second and goal they'll move the running back to try to force the defense to adjust touchdown Panther and they made it to the house when they found that six points offense slips the running back out of the back field nobody decid the Pittsburgh offens is back on the field really good balance on that last Drive they mixed it up all over the place Jesse yeah how nice too to have the defense on their heels because at this point they don't know what's coming at them they had problems stopping everything that last last drive so I think this defense would come back with a little more aggressiveness I mean they let them have what they wanted now they got to dictate to this offense a little B they make the stop but the sweet ping catches plenty to give him a first down here's his offense with a fresh set of downs from the gun he leaves it with the bat Bulls his way forward he had all kinds of company as soon as he got and he had to fight his way back just to get to the line of scrimmage to the air it's green finds his tight end and a good job of coverage by that defense just a short pick up got quite a ways to go to keep this drive going it's third down from the 45 he's looking to pass and he was hit just as he released it and it falls to the turf third and long everybody is first down for this offense trying to start the drive with a pass he's going to take off at the 35 he's open and he gets it up to the 36 and it'll be a first down that's the way to give yourself some breathing room now the second play of the drive from the 36 to the air on first down got the Quick Pass biting off the defender they make the stop right there good pickup it's still short of the first down this offense has a second down play they run the reverse One Step W two-step squeeze this junior knows how to get him on the ground the Panthers want to move quickly bully ball on Third and short and they'll move the chains and get it to the 47 yd line they picked up a couple of first downs to start this drive and now first and 10 from the 47 running to the left he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three last play was a near disaster now dealing with second and 13 he's looking to throw and and he can't escape and down he goes I'm not positive but that first down marker might be in the next County on Third and long he's going to have to turn one loose down field fires the pass intercepted taking it the other way he's at the 10 and with the inter here comes the offense on first down here's the handoff he'll push his way out to the 38 pick up of three got three on first down it's second and seven quarterback checking the play scanning the field it's [Applause] Hill completes it along the sidelines but that'll be for no gain now this offense facing a third and long from their own 30 from the gun wants to pass throwing right it's caught downfield and they finally get him down but not before he's got him set up for business at the 49 yd line pit coming to the line after getting another first down fires to the right and the pass is in intercepted and they'll drag him down after a good return on the interception and the senior just snatched the ball out of the air and gave it back line gets set first down used the play fake now to throw finds his big TI end makes a catch and knock down must be nice for this quarterback knowing he's got this type of athlete playing the tight end position that can work the middle of the field form he's a guy who can stretch it vertically as
