third set would win in four 64 63 46 75 in the second round he tled shenko and after winning the first two sets shenko would be forced to retire giving TFO the win 64 61 one love retirement in the third round he take on Ben Shelton the Third seed a man he' lost to this time last year at the US Open and this was an epic with TFO losing two of the first three sets and fighting back to win 46 75 67 64 63 to get his revenge in the fourth round he take on poin the 28 seed who just beaten jovic in the third round and after fighting back in the second TFO would eventually win in four 64 762 663 to advance to the quarterfinals in the quarterfinals tifo would take on demitro who just beaten rublev in a five set match in the previous round but after going up two sets of one demitro would get injured and be unable to finish the match giving to for the win 63 67 63 41 retirement to advance to the semi-finals Fritz into the tournament as a number 12 seed and we'll take on Ugo Carabelli in the first round this is no problem getting to in straights 75 6162 the second round he take on Mato bartini who' been really good over the last couple of months and after a close second set Fritz would get through in three 63 7661 the third round he take on thas SAA who had just taken out um in the previous round this again no problem for Fritz getting to in straights 63 64 62 in the fourth round he take on Rude the number eight seed who just played a five Setter in the previous rounds Dro in the first set Fritz would come back to win 366 46 362 to advance to the quarterfinals in the quarterfinals Fritz would take on Zev the number four seed who' just beaten a Wimbledon in a 5 set epic a couple months ago and this was a battle after splitting the first two sets britz would take it out in a close four Setter 763 66476 to advance to the semi-finals these guys have played seven times before with Fritz leading 61 in their head-to-head TFO winning their first ever match eight years ago but Fritz hasn't lost one since including a match last year at aapco they haven't played that much over the time if TFO is going to win this one he needs to try and get the crowd on his side now that's going to be really hard to do because both of them are American so the crowd's probably going to be split 50/50 or at least supporting everything that happens on the court because we're getting an American finalist so try and get the crowd on his side maybe do something crazy in the first couple of games also he's going to have to be ultra aggressive like he has been against these kind of like big servers like we saw with demitro we saw that with poin as well so be aggressive against those guys and maybe the crowd will warm to him if Fritz is going to win this one he need to serve well like he did against ver and probably take it to the tie breaks if he can put the pressure on big fo as well because TFO you know didn't play great in the first set against demitro he kind of got a little bit lucky cuz demitro played so badly in that first set and eventually couldn't get it done so if he can play clean maybe he can get the errors from TFO that were happening in that quarterfinal match and get the win that way too love that we're getting an All-American clash and a grand slam it's been so so long that we're going to get an American finalist out of grand slam as well but have to go with Fritz in this one in four sets I think Fritz's a little bit too consistent and also that head tohe head 61 it's so one-sided F had a great run making a semi-final here again but I just ver and also a top uh performance another top 10 guy there in uh in in rude as well but uh fo you know he's he's done well he's beaten poin who beat jovic he's beaten demitro which is no easy match so you know both of ear in their spots also the Shelton match uh was definitely a key and as you can tell here all right big fo number 20 in the world he's 26 years old from the USA 6'2 right-handed 24 four wins 19 losses on the year he has zero titles this year but he has got three career titles and he's got great form he made the final of the ciny a couple weeks ago and Taylor Fritz world number 12 is 26 years old from the USA as well 6'5 right-handed he's got 38 wins 16 losses on the year he has two titles this year eight career titles including Indian Wales a couple years ago and he didn't have the best form coming in which is interesting and the head-to-head which is super one-sided they played they played haven't played for a year over a year but uh Fritz owns the head-to-head uh pretty dominantly seven matches six to Fritz and it's been eight years since CFO won and that was when Fritz and well both of them were just getting started all right here we are chat second of sets so is thr on the way to this stage uh Fritz has dropped two sets in the last two matches but he's won them in four so that's all right um so against sinner if I get to the there we go so uh 1-1 C and Fritz one all uh they played Indian Wells last year C got a three set win um so they haven't played recently and then of course uh tiao and cner just played 4-1 cner including the match Cincinnati a couple weeks ago C won that one 7662 so big F put up a fight but uh s has won ultimately in the end and I said this earlier I would rather see Fritz C cuz we haven't seen it lately it's kind of again I said this on the same with the women's side you know I I would rather have seen Muka versus sabalenka but Pula Zang is going to be interesting too the America having the the New York crowd atmosphere is a big difference like Cincinnati crowd's one thing they you know they're going for the Americans but the New York crowd in the biggest stadium in tennis all going for I mean we heard we know that when Serena played here the the the atmosphere in the finals even last year the final with Coco last year it was a totally different sounding crowd to a Cincinnati so that's you know that's a whole another thing and you know C and sabalenka deal with crowds pretty well but still it's going to be the loudest crowd they've ever played against except Sab has done that already but for would be the loudest probably the L one of the loudest cows you ever played against um and maybe big fo can make that crowd louder because he is a bit more flashy but I I personally would rather see s versus Fritz um but either way I think C's the favorite um C wants to prefers to play Fritz really I don't know I feel like Fritz has got more consistency which is D more D is dangerous where's my American Pride I don't have any American stuff like shirts or anything is that a step book or are you just happy to see us what Chipotle stands no chance against Fritz what who do you think Draper match was the fact that he just he hasn't got that gas tank yet yet you know he still got some work to do which is you know if he didn't he would have won so I wouldn't be too worried about double faults yeah they were you know 10 of them but it it was more I think he you know you can probably put that to the fact that he was sick and tired you know and he was it just Zapped him that match just Zapped him still got to be proud of semi-final is a big deal well the postcards look great next to the couch yeah I got to get the new ones up on the wall Fritz will win he will have a chance if he focuses okay yeah either way like I said this is a great we're going to have a great finale to this US Open with Americans in the finals it's going to just be a different a whole different vibe of like the crowd is just going to be a whole different thing uh they're going to start in about 25 minutes we have a delay because of they have to re reorganize the whole stadium and stuff get rid of the people that were there for the first match bring in the new people it's going to be it's just a bit of a delay what's up Kylie how you doing Welcome Back Jack was all hard yeah yeah I mean Draper did the best he could and literally put it all out there right I mean nothing more that Draper could do yeah maybe a couple less double faults but he he he did everything he could in that match and I respect that you know and I said this before the match win or lose it's going to be a great match for Draper to get an idea of where he is at like this is a great test for him to go am I in the top 20 am I a top 10 guy what where do I fit in the tennis world and I think after today we re we can all say that Draper is capable of top 10 definitely capable uh if you can compete against C in not just one match but two matches now you know being both matches have been close uh yeah you know he didn't play very well C but you know you got to give dra credit for for especially the second set not getting broken and holding his nerve uh to get to that tie break I you know you got to say Draper is very capable of getting top 10 eventually um he's top 20 currently that I think that is fair where he should he should be top 20 uh but yeah he's got some work to do he's got to work on the double faults he's got to work on definitely the the energy levels you know how can he go for 3 hours without stopping rather than getting to two hours and starting to fade and then the third hour was just over you know that's going to be something he's going to work on you know that's the next step because that's what best of five are that's why we love best of five Chat best of three sets that wouldn't have been as uh we wouldn't have found out about Draper as much but he got exposed once we got to the third he was just out of gas even in the second he was starting to run low and there's no excuse because he didn't play that much tennis this week so it's not like he went oh well he played a five Setter last match no he didn't he didn't play that much tennis it's just once he played over two hours he hadn't played over two hours or he hadn't played longer than two and a half hours and today he started to go to third hour and that was three if you go to the four or five sets you're going to play four hours 5 hours right so he's got to figure out how to play for longer you know in tough conditions cuz you know you don't get to play indoors all the time like he would have in the UK um you know most of the time right on Hardcore you play indoors um so yeah look again great to know where he's at and what he has to work on to do the next like it was the it was a the result aside it was the greatest match it was a great match for Draper to to learn from you know and all of us to learn so we can go okay we know what he has to improve on let's see if he does it and then in 12 months time at next year's US Open let's see if he has the same problems or if he's not got those problems because the best players fix those problems and get better let's see if he works on those those issues because if you want Grand Slams you're going to have to go through C and ELR to do it uh will we ever see two Australians in the Australian Open final probably not no not in the final maybe in like a semi-final or quarterfinal that'd be great but not in the final not in a final we haven't seen a an Aussie Aussie final for like 50 years it's been a long time uh wasn't D ill or something yeah he got sick because he wasn't ill coming in he didn't have an illness coming in he was he got sick as the match progressed but it wasn't sick as in like oh he caught a cold he got sick cuz he was physically exerting himself so it's like when you go to the gym or you go for a run and you just feel like throwing up because you just been working so hard and your body's not used to that kind of work dra is not used to playing yanic C this intensely for hours and hours and hours he needs to get better if he needs if he's going to win those matches but yeah he just again he just got physically it was just a totally different thing than what he deal dealt with this week and that's the difference that's his levels chat there's levels and sin dealt with that as well I mean three years ago s was cramping C was getting you know even 12 months ago C was cramping remember against ver in the fifth set he couldn't do anything 12 months later c yeah he gets injured and he you know has the hip problems that come up but overall sinner does not Wilt you know anymore so look 12 months a long time Draper fig it out 12 months time he could be in the semis again and maybe maybe he pushes it further yeah dra is very talented for sure why is there a delay because they have to clean the they have to clean the courts they have to uh bring in the night crowd kick out the day session bring out the night session I can go for Fritz and fo either way but I want whoever to win it straight say so they have the best possible F the final yeah that's probably I mean look if you want to the best chance for an American to win is if one of them wrecks the other you're right you need and look and look there's a possibility that that Fritz does win straight sets that that could happen I don't think I don't know if fo can win in straight sets but I think Fritz winning in straight sets could be a could be the best chance no no not clean the puke they've got to clean the stadium cuz like people leave rubbish and stuff and they got to like a movie theater right the movie theaters aren't like one session after the other they have like a 30 minute break so they can clean the St clean clean the cinema right they pick up all they vacuum all the floors and they clean up all the rubbish and so then the new people cuz imagine chat if you bought a night session ticket and you came in and there was just crap everywhere on the floor because the people before you left all their beer bottles and [ __ ] so they've got a they got to make it feel like the night session crowd are coming to a stadium that's been unused so uh you that's why there's a delay and plus we're talking about the biggest stadium in tennis it's it's I mean how many Lou AR um Arthur rash Rod lab Arena I think's like 15,000 Arthur rash stadium is 23,000 so we're talking like nearly double what actually is Rod La 12 or 15 14 so yeah we're talking about double the size of Rod labor Arena so it's going to take a it's going to take a minute 28,000 people yeah so you got to we got you got to uh you got to kick out the the people before that takes time you got to clean all the everything for the new people that takes time and then you got to bring all the new people have to come in and that takes time as well like it's a it's you know it's not easy as like you leave you come in and we're going to clean it you know in between it's like takes a while why is c not playing the lab cup probably just doesn't see the need why does he need to I don't think he needs to play lab cup there's no reason s's left wrist was injured right he plays right-handed yeah he had a live yeah but in the third set it didn't seem like a problem but maybe in a couple days it might be a problem how would you increase Wimbledon capacity by expanding into the golf course that they got rid of across the street like they've got the plans to do it I would do exactly what they're doing expand the facilities but the local Council are not agree are not approving the plan so they can't exp expand but yeah increase womon capacity by expanding the grounds which they can do because across the street there was a golf course that's gone now and there's like all this ground and they're going to they have plans and everything to to build across the road more courts more facilities but the local Council in uh in in Wimbledon or around Wimbledon are like no we don't want to prove this probably the local residents don't want it either which uh whatever it's fair but um but yeah that's the only way they can increase capacity I mean I've been a Wimbledon it's jam-packed when I went and there's no way of going up so you have to go out and you have to go out to the across the road where there's like a park and stuff there's plenty of room but they're very I mean they're the only tournament that have a curfew right so clearly it's very hard to get anything done and getting and I I worked I worked in London as an architect so I know this this [ __ ] this stuff doesn't is not easy like getting through council is a pain in the ass they're there just stop things from happening it's annoy they're annoying they're very annoying I remember when we're doing we're doing the plans for um the upgrade at London City airport and there's like a tube station right next to the airport we had to like work around like the parameters and like it was it was so it was so hard to do anything because there was so much restriction uh and then you have to deal with the different different bloody people that like you know the transport people you have to deal with the the council you have to deal with the bloody Engineers you have to do like there's just so much you have to deal with but that was just for an airport like this is for a stadium that has to deal with residents who don't want more people in the area because that's their H home right they don't want people around yeah London City Airport I worked on uh a project over there um it was cool I don't know if they end up doing it sometimes You' got to call your opponent and you've got to find out when to play them and then log in the like it was it wasn't really set that way wasn't very structured maybe I joined the wrong one but I did play a couple times in the UK I played this one guy I think he was Spanish and it was a windy really windy day and we played on this like backass nowhere hard caught in the middle of like a bloody weedy crap Garden um I beat him he was a he was tough to play then I played some other guy where um some I think I played in Paddington I played a set in Paddington I played a couple of sets in like cuz wimble didn't have like a facility where there's hard courts not like at the stadium but like in The Wimbledon area there's like a whole bunch of hard courts and I remember playing there a couple times the guy's name I used to play this guy I played him a few times he was really cool shout out to him what forgot his name uh C is see with ice on his wrist that's not good um that's not a good from the backand it forces players to have to hit a slice or take a hand off the racket which is not what one what two-handed backhands want they don't want one hand on the racket so the Lefty serve out wide is really awkward because it goes from I mean it's and look most people don't have their backhand is not as strong as their forehand most players in the in the history of tennis usually backand is not the biggest is is not a strength so serving from left-handed to their backand is out wide moving away from the right-hander is super super effective that that's the main reason also just a different look I mean you don't play right-handers play right-handers 90% of the time or 95% of the time you play a lefty once every never but when you do it's a completely different angle that everything's coming at so you've got to kind of think about the different angles because it's totally totally different to what we're used to seeing as a right-handed you know from from right-handers in tennis so I ditched Athletics and I did tennis um what's athletic it's like Track and Field track and field like Olympics like track it's like track like running running like 100 meters hurdles shot put long jump like all high jump all that you know like Olympic stuff that's what yeah whatever that I know what he call it what do you call it we call it Athletics like PE I guess four hand winner there from 4 3-1 I don't know what you call it you seem like a shot put guy that was a long jump Sprinter that was 100 meter 200 meter Sprinter long jump triple jump missed me with the high jump miss me with long distance okay you call it track and field yeah yeah so we just did that on a Saturday and yeah and then tennis was like on the same time so I was like do you want to play competition tennis or do you want to play or do you want to do uh do that I'm like well I want to play tennis so I jumped into tennis instead I enjoyed do like at the start of doing track and field or
