uh fats hi Fatima yes I'm gonna call you Fatima throughout the podcast oh God who's that I don't know who this is oh my God wait so how did you get Fat's nickname so everyone in school was calling me nicknames right there was Tim Timbo um my mom calls me fictitious sometimes so I've had a bunch of nicknames but the one that stuck was Fats and everyone was calling me fats like even my siblings sometimes my dad so when I created my insta profile I was like everyone calls me fat so let's put fats Timber together and now that's my name does anyone does anyone ever call you Fatima my mum when she's crossed when she's mad at me now so yeah that's my mom and someone like no no one really calls me no no so how many siblings do you have then I have Four Sisters yeah one brother so big family very big family too big all same parents no my parents were playing the field before they got together okay had two kids each and then when they got together they had three together so my dad's had um three wives really yeah how many kids uh 40 in their passions um he's had seven kids really six kids what's it like growing up in a big family I don't know if it's a good thing I was talking about this the other day I'm like in my family there were so my dad had his first marriage and their two sisters from that and then married my divorced her married my mum had my brother me my little sister I was second bottom okay second bottom I think is tricky why why would you say that you're telling this interview with me and I like it okay I Think It's tricky because uh you have to be loud right and so I was constantly wanting to be heard all the time watch me watch me watch me watch you watch me which is not good then for when you get older for like wanting validation and all that kind of stuff I understand that I think being like the middle youngest is like okay I need to be seen I need to be heard I need to be that person so yeah where are you in the packing field I feel like I'm just in the middle it's just in the middle part I'm the oldest out of my parents kids so it's kind of like when I'm with my other siblings I'm like the young one but when I'm with my younger ones yeah I'm the oldest I have to take responsibility so I think I've got two sides to me where I can be laid back and look be looked after and the other side is taking charge so I feel like that kind of benefits me in a way can you be quite um bossy bossy yes you can very bossy they hate it they hate me sometimes I'm my boyfriend absolutely hates me for it but I'm bossy because um there's not half the things but so there's some things I just can't do for myself so I just lost my siblings and my boyfriend and my family around to help me get stuff even strangers I'm like in the supermarket everything I want is in the top shelf why I don't know but I'm like I'm like can you help me excuse me I need to get the beans in the top shelf you know they must give you confidence there as well yeah it has to do you have to be confident right yeah you have to be confident or I won't eat I won't be eating well I won't get my favorite tuna beans I won't get my like I have to to get what I want in fact tell me so your story is amazing and and I knew we were having this chat so we would just look at all the things you've done can you explain to the audience and I because I don't want to pronounce it you your condition that you have achondroplasia achondroplasia yes yes it's a type of dwarfism right and it happens in one in 30 000 births so my parents it was a shock to them they were like oh my God this is so Random we have a child with dwarfism what the hell so um yeah they just had to learn to adapt to my condition and they had no idea what it would entail they just had to roll with the punches so um with dwarfism it basically stunts your growth and I have a normal sized torso right but my limbs because of the cartilage cartilage is what um builds your bones yeah so I don't produce as much cartilage as an average height person that's pretty much it is that what it is yeah it's funny though because I was looking into it and it sometimes described as well one would say you go okay it's a disability right yes would you describe it as a disability yes because of the world I'm in if I was in a world where everything was you know for little people or I could reach everything then I wouldn't be disabled but because I'm in a world where it's average height people it's catered to advertise people I have to ask for help for so many things then it disables me you know like a lot of people say but you're not disabled you can walk you can do this but I struggle you know I I almost wasn't going down that route I was more saying that if sometimes with a disability people may interpret that as a negative if that's fair yes but but you I'm imagining you wouldn't say it's a negative yeah exactly not at all it's just something I just can't do but I work my way around it that's it so when you were young and your parents found out that you had the condition how how does that manifest itself how does that you can straight away at Birth you know that happens you can find out even before birth so my mom and dad found out at six months because um as they were doing the scans right they were noticing that I wasn't growing the normal rate as a baby so they were doing more tests more and more tests and at six months they said your kid will either have Down syndrome or dwarfism do you want to abort your baby literally get out of here yeah yeah wait hang on a second so people get given that option yeah at six months they do how many weeks is that um maths four times six six I love my brain it's just like is it 24 it's 24 okay 24 weeks thank you thank you it's my accountancy that is insane yeah is it's very upsetting it is very upsetting but I'm glad my parents you know obviously didn't do it my mom she said that she just had this connection with me before I was born and was like I already loved you before because I was like well stop it stop yeah so she was like I already loved you before you came out like you know I she was just like she just couldn't you know this is a huge topic and and maybe and like I I maybe it's the wrong thing to even discuss but it does sort of question the idea then does your opinions of abortion change um the thing is people have abortions for different reasons right you know sometimes you could be super young and you know leading abortion yeah whatever or you have too many kids and you know it doesn't it doesn't uh make me think whoever does have an abortion is a bad person or whatever it's just the choice that the person makes or the couple makes so um I respect my mum for keeping me you know she could have not kept me and been scared people were telling her um you know you're cursed um you're a witch um yeah an African culture if you have like a disabled child you're seen as a witch or seen as cursed and you know she didn't listen to that whatsoever so is your mum spiritual she is spiritual so that's tough as well yeah that's really tough really tough so wow strong strong woman she is very strong woman so that's amazing it's you know it it's funny right because I suppose also we've had I've had loads of conversations with people this as kids when we're growing up we kind of all just want to set them yeah that's all we want to do we'll wear the clothes that everyone's wearing we will listen to the music even if we hate it because that's what we're listening to we just want to fit in and I imagine for you it was quite hard to fit in just because of your condition because was that tricky very tricky because you know I'm I'm growing up I want to be just like everyone else but I physically can't like I physically can't no matter what I do I'm gonna be looked at I'm gonna be stared at people gonna make comments people are going to ask me why I'm so small so that really affected my confidence so much but at the same time it forced me to be different like because I'm Different anyway Stand Out be yourself be that person and my parents always encourage that in me so let's say music would turn on and I start dancing they'll tell me that's my you're really good at dancing you need to keep dancing so I'd go to go to um African [ __ ] parties and start dancing and everyone would stare at me and I'm just the star of the show so they put me into dance school and I think that really helped my confidence because anytime I'd show that Talent off everyone would forget I'm small they'll just see my dancing and that was a great feeling for me because they're not staring at me because I'm small they're staring at me because I've Got Talent you know so standing out was hard at first but I think now it's like you know I am unique no no one is like me and you can you always remember me everyone always remembers me and it's a great feeling to be honest with you I hate I hated the fact that was different but now I'm like when did that switch in your mind and that because that mindset is so great because you do you you give over this amazing confidence which like I think we all sometimes struggle with confidence right yeah imposter syndrome anxieties insecurities whatever it is and confidence is such a big thing nowadays like be confident who you are right when did that change for you and how do you is it a is it a sort of constant coaching yourself I'm confident I'm confident I'm this yeah it is a constant coaching because I do have down days I do have times when like the Discrimination or abuse from people is too much like on the street um and sometimes I'll just come home bursting out crying and then I'm like no I'm actually a bad B I'm actually a bad B I'm confident I'm this I'm that so it's constant coaching as well like even if it's a cool bad B yeah what is a bad B um you said I could swear so I'm gonna say bad [ __ ] oh there we go yeah I was like I'm a bad bee yeah I was trying to censor myself but bad [ __ ] that's what it that's what it means yeah so I'll tell myself no I'm a bad [ __ ] okay I'm all right I'm all right I'm good I'm good I'm beautiful and you've done this you've done that you've got amazing parents like I just remind myself of those things so I always tell people if they feel low about themselves they need to fake it so they make it they need to lie I felt like I was lying for myself especially at the beginning especially when I was doing modeling and stuff I was like I don't even look like a model but I'm gonna try it so give it a go that's amazing that's what helps it's true I agree with you you know I think we all go through struggles I I saw this thing today someone said everyone has a boulder we all have these Boulders that we're pushing up whatever that is something like family issues life issues insecurities whatever it is um but we have to almost lie to ourselves we have to say I'm okay I'm this I'm good pushing that pushing keep pushing that boulder up because if you let go it will roll on top of you and you'll start at the bot again you have to almost keep saying those affirmations to yourself all the time exactly and burn a boy said I've I've watched a interview of him saying that you know we are our ships right and the people that give their opinions and talk and stuff like that's the water trying to get into the ship and if you let the water in you think with them and I thought wow that's that makes so much sense like you've got you gotta just let's not let the water out but you just can't bring it in you know so I saw this other one from I think it was Steve Harvey like you know Steve Harvey that guy doesn't family budget we said this great thing he said that um we're like rockets right and we go into outer space you know when Rockets things drop off on the sides people in life are going to do that to you because they can't go to the place that you want to go and that's okay you've got to keep going where you're going and I was like foreign you can tell me that's cap yes I thought that's cat man is that's cool no no no [Music] it means that's a lie that's a lie just talk to me quickly about you said sometimes on the street you have people in the public can say they mean yeah how does it what what do you mean by that so uh there's been times when people shout out [ __ ] oh you epic [ __ ] what what did I do to you so yeah literally as a child um as a teenager sometimes it's happened a few times as an adult as well or be like especially especially when people are in groups oh my God the confidence is at 10. so when they're in groups they're like oh my God look at her look at her and they're all laughing and it's like I'm on my own hair like this is so why would you do that to someone I would never dream of doing that to someone but if if that if that's to happen today I literally don't even think twice because I I'm so strong in my self and so strong in my confidence and what I've done in my life I'm just like whatever it brushes off it brushes off seriously but when I was younger I was like go home crying all the time do you remember a moment which was really bad I don't want to bring you back to sort of a dark place um probably when I was in school I talk about in my book main character energy but anyway um quick plug-in yeah so in school I think it was this was after school these group of boys I don't know why they thought it was funny to pick me up and put me in an industrial bin and lock me in there and then hold it down and I'm trying to get out I was crying I was like get me out get me out and luckily um one of the girls from my ear group actually got me out so that was very very traumatic and it's horrendous yeah it was horrible I'll always remember it like like it was yesterday you know so have you ever seen those kids again um one of them actually DMS me oh you look beautiful and I was like I'm not gonna say his name a a um do you remember bullying me and then he was like oh I was young okay that was it yeah Scarlett moffatt told me a story once where she was bullied um at school and she was in Iceland I think it was a the supermarket and she went round and aisle and she saw the person who used to bully her she was with her daughter and she straight away went back to that inner child started freak out get really nervous and this person walked straight up to her and said oh my God Scarlett hi oh my God we're such big fans she just come up the jungle such big fans at school and was telling her daughter how they were such good friends at school and Scarlett said to her you made my life hell and I hope your daughter never has to go through what I went through because of you dropped shopping walked out until it was the most powerful moment that she finally confronted yeah it was insane it's amazing that that Karma turns around yeah and that people do these bad things and and it does it turns on its head it really does it really does and I'm sure they're looking at me now like oh wow I can't believe facts has turned our life around or I can't believe when I bullied her like she's not in the gutter I don't know what people think when they're bullying people maybe they want to feel good about themselves or maybe because they're insecure and they want to pick out someone else's insecurities who knows but people do it in group that group wolf mentality yes is tough and people do it because they either get kudos within the group or they think it's funny or whatever it's funny and it is it's all based on insecurities put them by themselves and they're weak right they have to hunt in packs yeah it's bad but did you know you were always going to be a star did you have this in your head yeah don't take it yeah no no I had this feeling I had this feeling that because I've gone through so much in my life um more than the average person not saying you know like I deserve it more than average person but I felt like I'm going to have to share my story one day and that's what's going to make me that star you know so I'm not going through this for no reason one day I'm gonna be that girl so um yeah now I am so that's crazy because yeah you honestly I mean it's classy you got over two million followers on Tick Tock your Instagram is popping you've written a book which you can get on Amazon yeah or water stones you you've done two podcasts you've got a podcast going at the moment you've done TV shows uh you're a model you you in Vogue yes I'm in Vogue 2023 yes crazy talk to me about modeling how that came about and how Vogue came so I think modeling was probably the start of my journey in terms of social media because when when one day I was randomly scrolling and this company called new nude we're asking for different types of models so whether you had dwarfism or albinism or um whatever what does urbanism albinism when you have uh skin when your skin pigment yeah the pigmentation is different yeah it's different so I was thinking okay you're calling my name I've always wanted to do something like this and one before this one time my mom tried to get me into a modeling agency it was one of those ones where you give money nothing happens bit of a scam but anyway sorry wait you can't brush over that you give well yeah it kills me for like a photo shoot and they say they're going to put you in their books nothing happens so yeah sorry that is a complete scam yeah it was it was it was a bit of a scam so my interest for modeling was there yeah beforehand and I thought okay let me apply let me send my form or whatever and then they called me back and they said oh would love for you to come to the casting call so I go there and I see I'm the only little person there's only one girl with albinism there's one girl with alopecia and everyone else has maybe an invisible disability or their average height you know or normal as most people would call it so I thought oh my God this is so nerve-wracking I've never done anything like this it's a scary I go in now there's judges and they ask me about confidence they're asking me about oh how do you feel about doing an underwear shoot drinking underwear oh yeah it's amazing I'd love to do it inside I was like oh my God underwear what the hell never done anything like this before so um I gave it a try and uh yeah so they accepted me they said that they would love for me to be on the campaign and yeah it went really really well at first it was super nerve-wracking awesome you're you're being that's exposed exposed yeah vulnerable and very all these things but I felt so liberated afterwards and I thought to myself this is what I want to be doing this is this is how I want my life to be like I want to do things like this on a regular basis I don't want to be an accountant oh my God no keep going back were you did you see you're trying to be an accountant yeah I've got a first class to be as well and you can do six times four I couldn't do it for a second I'm sorry my brain just froze I haven't done maths in so long next time let's let's forget about that one okay that's how long it's been I haven't trained my work but anyway yeah I don't want to I didn't want to do accountancy at the time I'd rather do modeling it's more fun so I posted the picture that I did from The Campaign on Instagram yeah blew up went insane like I think I got like 2 000 at the time I had like 500 followers okay 500 followers to 2 000 likes out of nowhere and getting Maybe 2000 no 1 000 followers a day for like a week really yeah it just went that quick it went so quickly oh my God you're represented oh my God I love this representation oh my God this is so beautiful so wow yeah that was because because you became a voice yes I didn't realize I didn't realize I was becoming a voice I didn't realize I was representing for the underrepresented I did it for myself at the time and then I realized I could do this for other people oh my God like let me keep this going let me keep posting every day let me build a community um and yeah from there I just started building a following on Instagram and just keep keeping that steady following going up and making like the followers that are there like happy with my work and my content so it wasn't about like because nowadays content creation is changed like as an actual career now totally but back then it was for me to build a community so that I can speak for the unheard in a way you know it's funny we I I do we're doing a series on this which we're partnered with candy cane live was my sweet company and we're talking to people from the lgbtq plus community and the one thing that keeps coming up is the fact that there were when they were growing up they never they couldn't relate to anyone yeah there was no one that they looked up to and so no one in their Community they could say oh I'm like that I'm like that and perhaps you had that same and when you talk about misrepresents or you know do you feel like within the median entertainment industry that you're a minority yes definitely the fact that all I could see little people in were like Oompa Loompas and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory um in Snow White identified as sleepy Sneezy grumpy um all of those things I'm not one of those things okay and then I never even thought of it yeah I've never even thought of it like that literally and you know we're just seeing as jokes like not serious human being we're not even seen as human beings to be honest with you so explain that more what do you mean but that you really felt that not at all like people just look at me like oh oh my God you know and when you're watching stuff and then we're not even real main characters in any sort of thing so when I see Peter Dinklage in in Game of Thrones and when I'm seeing other little people in like EastEnders I'd feel represented like I felt like oh my God they're showing real real little people doing real life things and having real emotion you know so now it's it still needs obviously a lot of work a lot of improvement but I'm I'm one of those people that are you know putting us in the Forefront and showing that we're just as human as everyone else do you know I'm gonna be really honest here that really had a nerve within me like it like a good nerve because I think you know I think probably I've been guilty in the past you know I think definitely when I was younger I I no bullying nothing of that but I think when you see people with a conditional disability you don't even think you just you you look you just look at yeah yeah and then you totally forget that they're human not even of course you know that yeah you know what I mean you don't even think about their story what they're going through their background what's happening with them I remember I listened to a podcast with um uh Richard Osmond who's very tall and it was I think it was on BART this podcast and he said when I go into a room and someone makes a joke about my height I've had that since I was a kid I've had that since I was younger even though he's super tall right it's just being super Tony so I've had that forever you don't need to mention it don't need to talk about it I've had it I've had it a million times and and I can imagine it's it's a um it's a tough thing to go by when you feel that people don't even look at you as a human yeah that's intense it is it is intense it's like oh my God what's it like to be small it's I'm just small that's it but then stuff but then you do can you do Vogue which is that's insane yes and you're you're smashing the game and then you decide to write a book oh yeah and this book has the Ten Commandments in it yes it does it does that's very biblical to be Fearless to be Fearless yes so so why don't you run me through the ten commandments so the Ten Commandments of main character energy is to be unexpected right so to be unexpected I've had no choice to be unexpected in life because as soon as I walk into a room everyone's looking at me because they haven't seen a little person before in their life so I show people and tell people that being unexpected is fine we all want to fit in but we all want to be different at the same time how does that make sense it don't make no sense another one is let love be your superpower so that means basically letting your family your friends hype you up like let them love you for who you are you know and let them support you because a lot of people they push a lot of love away and I did that for a long time really why uh uh why did I do that um because I don't know maybe boarding school and divorce and there's always a bit like but I wanted so much love but I wanted love from strangers okay you wanted you wanted the people that kind of don't matter but kind of do matter yeah the view of the matter was almost too close oh that's deep it is deep holy [ __ ] we'll be just a locked here the 10 is a lot I'm not gonna lie because we'll be here the whole point no no no if you have to I have time I want to hear it honestly okay be heard um a lot of the time in my life um I was trying to impress people because I was over compensating for my height I felt like if you're even my friend or hanging out with me that's a privilege to me you know I felt like everything that I needed to do I needed to make you like me and keep being my friend so um did you feel that people were gonna go yeah any second because if anyone looks at me and you're with me you feel embarrassed to be around me that's how that's how I felt yeah so that makes me yeah that younger fats was sad honestly you're a bad B I'm a bad [ __ ] if you don't likely you can go in the bin seriously there you go so now I speak up for myself I argue a bit more now I speak my mind and I stand up for what's right now so um and what is what's right what's right is Justice um standing up for people standing up for kindness as well and standing up against discrimination really yeah so and then the next one is stop so stop is all about basically looking around and appreciating and being grateful um that's what's helped me quite a bit as well as to appreciate my journey as well to like stop and think I'm grateful for this I'm grateful for that because sometimes on the journey you're just like oh what's the next thing what's that thing what's this thing like I want to get this but I'm I'm appreciative of my family my boyfriend the house that I'm living in you know I just stop and appreciate pretty much so that's what we forget to do that a lot of times yeah we really do that's one of the big things I think in life is that we're so fast forward we're so wanting that that that that all the time that we don't need to appreciate what's going on right now literally and oh my God amazing things are happening in everyone's life in the present and people going through ups and downs and they get it but the present yes sin and appreciate got two hands you've got two feet we can breathe you know we've got all of that I'm really trying to do that a lot of that at the moment exactly so I'm teaching people we don't get a therapy session I like this my book is like a Therapy book yeah a little bit of each of every chapter you have um Reflections as well so I ask you questions about um you know what the Commandments relating to so for example stop like what are you grateful for um unexpected what makes you want to stand out or what makes you scared to stand out you know I ask people these questions that they probably never ask themselves so uh discover New Perspectives I've traveled so many different places and my dad he loves to travel and he's like put that in me so when I've traveled to so many different countries it's given me so much perspective and um when I went back to so early in last year there was exactly yeah I'm from Australia in West Africa okay it's near going on Nigeria a lot of people don't know where it is it's a tiny little country isn't it quite War torn or is that it used to be it used to be in the 1990s but because the Wars ended now but it's still facing like it's still poor from it sure and it still needs to rebuild a bit more and when I went back there there was a time when I came out of a restaurant and I had these like disabled Beggars come up to me and at this day I gave so much money to so many people I was like please just leave me alone like I was just walking away and then they said to me well we're the same and I was like oh my God I felt so bad because he's right like they were right we were the same it's just that I'm in a different and I don't want to say better I am I am in a better circumstance yeah that's fair to say that so it just made me think wow like I'm so lucky to be born in the UK where I get so much support where I can you know adapt my disability where and and then in Sierra Leone they can't even work because they don't even care to to people with disabilities whatsoever nothing nothing they have to beg on the street to get food so it really made me think wow I am so people have it hard yeah in this world extremely hard really they people really have it hard and I just sometimes I mean maybe I'm in a bit of a moment of reflection at the moment but because I got married I don't know whatever it is but you've Jesus people have it hard I get to wake up and have hot water a shower and go out and get a coffee and walk and all these different things and you just totally forget it's actually so blinded by your own existence literally and it just at that moment I really became more grateful for my situation and made me think okay yeah I've been bullied but I can't I can't ever imagine being in a situation where like my disability is holding me back so much in this war-torn country like we had like people with disabilities here they have Pip they get benefits and they can't even get any nothing nothing like that wow so okay so next commandment next command man is trust the journey trust the journey means um a lot of the time let's say you're starting something it's extremely hard it's extremely tiring but if you enjoy the journey you can never get tired you know so I'm just telling people to because for me this whole time I've just been on this journey um trying to get I don't know what I'm doing sometimes I'm like yeah you know trusting the journey enjoying where I'm going um but I just know that I'm inspiring people during this journey I know that I'm being more confident in myself and just just being fat you know and seeing where being fat takes me so we've got to show the book as well here we can show the book here it is yeah this is my book the main character energy um you could get at Amazon waterstones and any good book retailer so um what is the last two Commandments the last two Commandments yes I've got to be cute there yeah I like the cuteness another commandment is rising above yeah so we spoke about being bullied and how it affected me and how other people sometimes they can't recover from being bullied yeah so I talk about Rising above the bullies and Rising above the negativity so I give tips on how to just remember that if you rise above if you remember who you want to be you can those bullies they're down here you're up here at the end of the day it's not to say you're better than anyone but it's to say if you let those bullies get in then you know you can't you can't fly you can't rise above you can't be who you want to be in life so that's so good okay last one uh only doubt doubt itself okay um I've had so much anxiety like everyone else yeah um I've always doubted am I going to be able to do this can I do that am I doing this right but I explained to people I only doubt doubt itself yeah where if you are doubting yourself you need to kind of learn how to not overthink so much because you're the only person blocking your dreams is you yeah because you've got so many things going on in your head I feel like you never doubt yourself because then you did you did an amazing TV show on channel four the undateables right yes yeah oh my God I I love that show I think it's a thing is such a great show in so many ways it feels very wholesome in lots of ways it's because it's really lovely um but did you doubt yourself before going on yeah before for sure even declined it first really yeah I was defended singing me Undateable I'm not Undateable it's a strange title I agree with it it's it's a very strange title so I didn't I really wasn't a big fan of the title whatsoever yeah but at the time I just thought okay I've just done started modeling they've approached me to go on a TV show this will be my first ever TV day GPU so why not give it a go yeah you know and I might if I love who knows so I just thought okay I doubted myself I doubted the whole thing but it might work out for me who knows so I always rebuttal um negativity with positivity just so that I can tell myself positive things and try be more positive in what I'm doing because it's so easy to think oh my God like what's going wrong and you know but it's just you know it worked out well for me it was good but your followers went wild afterwards right when it yeah it did it did it did so you're dating someone at the moment yes okay what I call it dating or relationship relationship yeah we're in a relationship you in love yes okay yes I love them very much did you say I love you first he said it to me I was waiting for him to say it I was waiting for him to say it I was not going to say it first I hate that stubbornness why don't even just say why because I like what you're gonna say oh I like you no because I knew I loved him before like before he told me yeah so when he told me I said I love you too you're straight in I love you I love you too that's amazing have you is this the first time in love yes first time in love we've been together next month uh three years come on yeah I'm not like Alan you know where did you guys meet we met on online actually yeah plenty of fish have you heard of it no so it's an app it's like it's like Tinder yeah almost but I had enough of Tinder Tinder the guys on there a bit much they just want a quick IE yeah a quick looky and for me at the time I got I got tired of such things I got tired of such things and I was looking for something serious you know and I went on POF I thought let me see if I can get better luck there yeah and then you know I saw I saw this cute guy and I liked his picture I didn't message him first his name is Alan Alan it's a great name yeah and it is a great when you pronounce it in a Polish way it's Alan Alan yeah oh that's yeah a bit Yeah but I say in English way I'm not gonna lie everyone says it Alan but it's fine um but yeah I just saw this cute guy and I thought okay he's cute likes his picture then he messaged me straight away and then we realized we had so much in common he was saying that he does photography I was like I love to be in front of the camera oh my God okay and I was like yeah um I've got a disability as well and I was like what you got he told me he's got cerebral palsy so that means that the thing is with cerebral palsy it affects people differently so it means during labor your brain was starved of oxygen so uh when his mom gave birth to him he was staffed with oxygen and he can't feel his is it left his left leg as well so he has a bit of a limp when he walks so um he completely understands what it's like to have a disability and be different and be made fun out of because of a certain thing that you can't help so we connected off wow so much of that and um yeah we're literally just best friends we're both in a big family so when he's like well I integrated to him to my family he was just like yeah this is another one of my family now so what did your mum think oh my God my mom loves him really she says that's not my son-in-law that's my son that's my son my dad was a bit apprehensive at first very very protective yeah but he loves him now he's like I can't wait for you guys to get married you know have kids so yeah oh my God yeah we're one big happy family yeah but also maybe this is a two personal question but just so with with the organization is that is a genetic condition yes it's genetic so because Alan doesn't have um achondroplasia and because cerebral palsy isn't genetic right um there's 50 chance that I pass it on to my child sure and then yeah so it's 50 to 50 so it is very nerve-wracking is that nerve-wracking or is it just like hey you at first I it was because it was like explaining that to you know a potential partner sure it's like oh how would they feel about that you know their child could potentially be have dwarfism you know but when I explained it to Alan he was like oh it's fine like I'm with you you're beautiful I love little people like it's like he's fine with it you know what a rock sir he is you're both wrong that's wicked I love that yeah he's the coolest honestly so yeah it's fine literally we'll see what happens he's he we both agreed though that it we would prefer it if they were if they were a little person if there would be a girl like it would prefer it if they work out because why I think it's harder to be a shorter man in my opinion okay but if that's the case then you know we'll just deal with it but I think if there was to be a little woman or little person that would prefer them to be a girl can you can you elaborate on that why do you think it's harder in your opinion to be um I think as girls it's fine to be short you know it's it's not like as much stigma but for a boy even if you're like not even my height I'm five eight and a half and I struggled with really yeah a little yeah my biggest insecurity was my height I used to always stand on tiptoes really yeah I used to um I used to put these things called heels in my shoes Alan did that as well and he used to do that but he doesn't do that with me always like I'm six foot to you so it's fine I used to do that and then I uh the reason I I did Strictly Come Dancing and um the reason why I hurt my foot was because I had these things in my shoes because it gave me plantar fasciitis and it tore my plantar fascia ligament because I was constantly walking on high heels oh my God yeah they gave me like an inch and I thought hey that's cool and then I roll around at eight and a half five nine like what yeah and I said I'm a bad B yes exactly I have a bad B yeah so um yeah like as you were saying it's it's difficult as a man so imagine being a little man it's tough so but if it is the case then you know we'll deal with it and he was saying listen you're you're a little person you can teach our child what it's like you didn't have that growing up so amazing that's also what I find amazing you're about to do your fourth stand up yes [ __ ] well I've done my fourth one you've done your father I'm gonna do my fifth one okay I've done stand up it's intense yes I said to you before I went on stage I wanted someone to crossbow me in the head because honestly was freaking out so much um how why on Earth do you want to go down this route position I was falling into this route okay okay and I'm just for I'm just going into the path because I've always wanted to do stand up but I need to do what's scary to succeed in a way yeah push your boundaries push my boundaries so um one time I was in The Fringe Festival in Scotland yeah Edinburgh last year Edinburgh and this guy called Josh was like I'm a big fan of your work I think you could do stand up I was like really you think I could do stand up he was like yeah I work with Live Nation we put shows together and I think you could do a show called facts and Friends I was at I think I can yeah yeah I can inside I'm literally like oh my God oh my God and then outside really yeah I think I've always wanted to see stand up yeah let's do it it's amazing isn't it yeah it's crazy as you get when you leave the stage incredible it's unbelievable incredible like I I do want to keep doing it again because I'm getting way more comfortable now every time but beforehand I'm like can I do it can I do it I don't I think I can I think Kelly to cancel I don't think I can do it like it's scary super scary because the pressure of having to make people laugh yeah it's insane they're looking at you or waiting to laugh yeah make me laugh tonight yeah I can talk but if the pressure of making you laugh I'm like what is the um but I love it though what is that what is the comedy do you do do you so I talk about um funny experiences that happen to me because I don't know what how why every funny thing that happens always happens to me I always get the most embarrassing moments my family are hilarious yeah like my brother I explained there was one time my brother he was following a funeral car his friend passed away unfortunately that was a long time no no it's all right okay no it's not all right it's all right so this doesn't feel like much of a joke okay wait wait wait for it so you're following a funeral car he goes in um then he's looking at everyone thinking um I don't recognize anyone but I'm still gonna sit here next thing you know he sees an old Jamaican lady as the person that died not his friend he's part of the wrong one hey what's the wrong funeral right and then I talk about oh imagine if he had to give a eulogy and you didn't realize it oh my I would have still done it I would have come on we used to bang ball we used to play Call of Duty and everyone's like who's this guy this is awful I was playing I was playing catch in Oxford with like a rugby ball and uh these people to come over and told us to stop and I was like yeah shut up I'm a bad B and my friend threw the ball I jumped on court at Landon old lady and broke her hip [Music] and then she died no she didn't no she didn't imagine but why is it at the hip it's just mixing yeah honestly it was I was like 10 and I was like on my head I was going this is a nightmare what is going on you broke her head broke her head she had to go to hospital stop it swear to God to your life is a long time ago if I hit was breaking then I'm not I'm not sure unless yeah okay hopefully yeah hopefully our hip's all right hopefully our head's all right like that I've had some embarrassing moments yeah and and there's been times um my family we just did just dumb stuff like we went to Tenerife once goes to the air like we'll leave in and we go to the airport the ad you know the people at the airport they were like um sorry your flight was yesterday and he was like what like what when I was scuba diving I didn't return back home [Laughter] so we just we just started laughing I was scuba diving I was scuba diving at the time literally so oh man is you're going to get fats with friends yeah fats and Friends fats and friends yeah okay and you're doing Manchester next right yes I'm near Manchester United do you know the date the date is something 23rd of September 23rd September is it 23rd 24th 24th 24 24th of September 2023 baby you can't get tickets yes the tickets aren't out okay don't get tickets but when you check my page and they're there get it okay there you go just say it um professors I've had a such an awesome time thank you so much I really enjoyed this is so it's like I I admire you I I love the fact you're a voice I I admire your confidence I think it's so refreshing and cool and people should really take a leaf out of what they can your book uh literally go and get that book but um I really appreciate you coming on and um I think you said that your boyfriend Anna he's a fella he he likes my stuff yeah he does that sounded weird it doesn't like my actual stuff he likes he likes you he likes me he likes me um so listen I really appreciate you coming on I want everyone to go and check out all your social media Tick Tock Instagram go and get your book go and check you on your stand up do all that kind of stuff thank you so much for coming on private parts thank you so much for having me I appreciate it and you're hilarious too I appreciate it everybody see you next week bye uh [Music]
