today part of the lifeblood of the sport a rivalry game where the results will be remembered for a lifetime as we'll see a squad from the Mountain West the Nevada Wolf Pack taking on a squad hoping to makes his connection how about that effort to get it out across the 20 Market at the 21 it's a first down the Broncos come to the line with a new set of downs the give to the back they stay aggressive and push their way out to the 33 and it's first down here's this offense with a fresh set of down motion from the offense he's looking to throw it fires to the tight end and he laid the lumber to stop him from getting the first down got some of the work done on first now let's see what they have on second down just sort of a relentless run getting everything that was available to him and they'll Mark him down at the 40 now staring at a third and short from the 40 caught near the sideline it's green he's out of bounds but not before picking up enough for the first down and now a fresh set of game the same way but there's just something different about rivalry games Jesse it's because ree I think players are aware that games like this Define your legacy as a player your record in rivalry games is something that people are going to talk about for years and years down the road you have got to show up and play your best football in games like this the offense lines up at the 40 they've got a first down one man in the back field and he gets it they make the stop right at the 30 yd line but it's a 10yd pickup and a first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs looking for a man it's Nelson fires to the wide out excellent coverage and good use of the hands to knock it away you know this defense knew the offense all right let's get it they'll Run play action and the incomplete pass will bring up fourth down well on Third and short and field goal range they dial up the pass play quarter ready double double from the gun they'll try to impose their will they're trying to send a message with this running game he stopped after a pick up of four to the 33 solid pick up of four on first down it's second and six he'll keep it himself and you can forget running in the middle against this defense they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here on third down he'll try to pick it up through the air and the incomplete pass will bring up fourth down yeah and third and short that choose not to run throw the football and wide out in motion going to run it it's Genty creating some space getting just enough good blocking and they've got it up to the 47 yd line and the Broncos come to the line in the hurry up he's looking for a man on second down I don't think that's the way they drew it up incomplete couldn't find his man last time and that leaves him with a third and [Applause] six it's a draw pass the stickon still on his feet crosses the 30 he's got awayan and he almost ran away from everybody on that one a huge pick up on that play they're down to the 25 on First and 10 to the ground he's got it again I like feeding my guy I like getting my running back touches feeding the ball so he can break some of those big runs but I'm also okay with these little ones set the tone stay balanced from the gun they'll try the middle they make the stop after a pick up of three just inside the red zone at the 19 the Broncos have push it inside the 20 to throw it's Nelson into the end zone and he's got it touch down [Music] Bronco single single hand off from the shotgun tackle is made at the 28 after a pick up of three nice run there on first down you know this is a running back that gets better as the game goes on so they're going to want to make sure they keep feeding him the football let him get lathered up he maybe gets a yard they'll Mark him at the 29 balls at the 29 defense can taste getting off the field it's third and long from the gun wants to pass got out of trouble and throws catch in the middle it's green eight quick tackle made but he's got plenty for the first down and the Broncos come to the line with a fresh set of downs this time they'll go to the running game not a whole lot of room there three yds maybe second and seven tried to pound it on first down now back to the line out of the gun the inside K creating some space getting just enough good blocking and they've got it up to the 47 yd line and that last run leaves him with the third down will they keep it on the ground from the gun wants to pass got his man quickly now with a great opportunity as they pick up the first down they've got it at the 40 the Broncos are flying down the field and on that third and short I don't think he was unhappy to see that zone nope was a great job by the offense hey see where the holes in his own arm sit down you only need a little bit of yards on this third down get the conversion move the sticks second down here and maybe they've got time to get one more snap off before the two-minute warning it's the two-minute warning and we'll see if the offense can tack a little something extra on their lead before the break to the air it's Nelson he'll take the Deep shot he caught it and the defense Qui he wants to start this drive with a pass oh picked off bringing it back and he's going to take it Go wide receiver now comes in motion they'll come out on this drive and let it rip using the quick game he's run out of bounds but not before turning in a big pickup and moving the sticks for a first down looking to move it through the air throws to the wide out wide open down field plenty of room on that play and they find their way to the 36 this offense absolutely humming as they come to the line again he unleashes a long one R is the sideline and it's complete and they've got a big play just like that a hat trick of completions and they're on the door all right let's get it wide receiver shows motion unleashes to the end zone and it's caught touchdown boy state let go on second down looking to throw and that ball is picked off oh what a move and they'll drag him down after a good return on the interception in situations like this it's night time it's so cold it's so hard to comp let's go here we go fast motion from the offense back to pass it's Nelson and he's picked off again his night vision hasn't been up to speed his third interception didn't get a chance to show off those return skill here we go ready give to the running back they can rely on this guy to pick up solid yardage when they needed and he's out to the 43 got six on first down now a lot of options on second and four on the run it's Genty dances away from one and he found plenty of Running Room on that one before the defense was finally able to get him down now they've moved it just inside the 40 first and 10 from the 39 he wants to throw got rid of it quickly but it's incomplete INE now second and 10 wide receiver coming across in [Applause] motion he's back to throw on second down snagged in the middle it's green knocked down at the 24 yd line but it's a big game 15 yds on the play and this offense is in business they're going back to the ground looks as if we have an injury on that last play and we'll take a break to check him out got eight on first down now looking at a second and two motion from the offense quarterback on the keeper tackle is made after the first down oo I like that option play I'd keep running that too because it's obvious the defense right now is really keying in on this running back that was a big point of emphasis for them all week long in practice and it's opening up holes now for the quarterback to work picked up some of what they needed on first down now it's second and goal from the five the receivers often will run their route based on a side adjustment looking for the score and a flag flies as the pass is incomplete let's see who it's on so the decision has been made and the coach will take the penalty offense trying to pay it off on second and goal looking for room it's Genty brought down at the seven after picking up three third and goal from way back there BR up from the gun wants to pass fires into the end zone and it's his fourth interception of the night still on his feet he's out of bounds showing off the hands on the pick and then the Nifty moves on a terrific [Applause] return single single leaves it with the back able to scr three yards out desperate to keep this drive alive trailing by multiple possessions and it's getting late looking downfield it's Nelson oh they really could have used that catch there physical pass defense it brings up a fourth [Applause] down let's go single single wide out in motion wasting no no time throwing on this drive oh the Freshman lucky that one didn't get picked off after the incompletion it's second and 10 from their own 25 man as a quarterback you got to be careful he's lucky there if you miss high and here's the fifth interception by this quarterback and he's wrapped up after a solid return on the pick it doesn't get any better from your defense you know exactly the situation wide receiver now comes in motion trying to start the drive with a pass gets it out fast he will step out of bounds but not before the big kick up and a first down for this offense fresh set of downs after the completion comes out throwing on first down he finds his man they'll get him on the ground at the 46 and it'll be a first down a new set of downs after the completion well down two possessions good news is you get the completion bad news though did not get out of bounds you know right now saving the clock that is at a premium for this offense halfway there on first down it's second and five they go to the draw he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three they line up with some serious work to do if they want to convert this this one third and long and he'll try to throw for it right on the money to the outside he dragged the toe and how about the ball placement only the receiver could get it let's go here we go set back to throw it's Nelson setting up the screen each brought down but he went backwards after that completion not the way they had it drawn up seventh play of the drive coming up but a long way to go on third down from the gun wants to pass unloads to the white out working the middle they've got it just outside the Red Zone they'll move the chain it's at the 21 and even though so as big as that touchdown was equally as big converting this two-point attempt and making it a one-score game the snap sets up the throw he makes the grab for the little bit short of the first down quick Tempo no huddle off and second down clock's running he's looking to throw and he got a hand in there knocks it away incomplete you've got a third and manageable back up in your own end but convert here and you get some momentum they'll try to get the first through the air can't make the grab quarterback just missed him a little bit this really has been a Master Class by the quarterback with the fast motion from the offense the aerial assault continues they make the stop but there is a flag on the field we'll see what that it's all about illegal it stick with you no doubt about it Reese this was a game circled for a very very long time they knew how important this one was but David you can't let games like this beat you twice because this losing team now has to find a way way to rebound and go out and play again no doubt got a rebound but this one stinks this is the one that you have circled for a reason it's it's a rival it's bragging
