>> IT'S SO. YEAH, IT'S GOING TO BE A WARMER KIND OF DAY FOR THOSE THAT HAVE THEM. BUT FOR THE KIDS THAT HAVE TO STAND OUTSIDE AT THE BUS STOP, THEY WILL NEED THAT EXTRA LAYER. >> SO 52 DEGREES RIGHT NOW AT METRO AIRPORT. YOU'RE TAKING A LE IT LOOKS LIKE THOSE TRAFFIC VOLUMES ARE PRETTY NICE. WE'LL GET A CHECK OF THAT WITH DARNELL IN JUST A MOMENT. 49 IN PONTIAC, 51 IN GROSSE ILE, AND 43 IN PORT HURON, WITH PRETTY CALM WINDS ACROSS THE BOARD. SO TEMPERATURES ARE IN THE 40S AND LOW 50S ACROSS THE AREA, BUT YOU'RE LIKELY GOING TO FIND MORE MID TO UPPER 40S THAN YOU WILL. THOSE 50 DEGREE TEMPERATURES TO START YOUR DAY. SO IT'S A CHILLY START. PLEASANT AFTERNOON ON TAP. IT'S ONE OF THOSE DAYS THAT YOU ARE GOING TO NEED A SWEATSHIRT THIS MORNING FOR SUNSCREEN IN THE AFTERNOON, BECAUSE PLENTY OF SUN AND 70S IN THE FORECAST FOR LATER TODAY. HIGH PRESSURE DOMINATING OUR WEATHER PATTERN, NOT JUST TODAY, BUT FOR A STRETCH OF DAYS. WE'RE ENTERING A PRETTY QUIET PATTERN. SO SUNRISE AT 701 AND YOUR SUNSET AT 803 IF YOU'RE KEEPING TRACK. SO LET'S GO AHEAD AND TAKE A LOOK AT THAT BUS STOP FORECAST. SO BY THE TIME WE GET TO 7 A.M. CLEAR SKIES, BUT WE'RE SITTING AT 51 DEGREES. SO WE'LL PROBABLY GO DOWN A DEGREE OR TWO AT PICKUP. BUT BY THE TIME WE GET TO 10 A.M. 64, WE'RE STARTING TO IMPROVE. AND THEN INTO THE AFTERNOON WE'RE IN THE 70S. SO FOR LUNCHTIME RECESS, THINK PROBABLY ABOUT 70 DEGREES FOR HOW YOU'RE DRESSING THOSE KIDS. AND THEN AFTER SCHOOL IT WILL BE MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE. 75 DEGREES. AND WE'RE PAIRING THAT WITH SUNSHINE. SO HIGHER UV INDEX TODAY. SO I KNOW WHEN IT'S DARK AND EARLY YOU DON'T REALLY THINK ABOUT THE SUNSCREEN. BUT YOU SHOULD PUT THE SUNSCREEN ON THE KIDS BEFORE THEY HEAD OUT TODAY. TONIGHT 54 DEGREES, MAINLY CLEAR SKIES. IT'S ANOTHER CHILLY NIGHT AHEAD, AND I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF THOSE OUTLYING AREAS, THE LOW LYING SUBURBS, GET BACK INTO THE 40S TOMORROW, 79 DEGREES FOR THE AFTERNOON HIGH EXACTLY WHERE WE SHOULD BE FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. SO A SEASONAL AND SUNNY DAY AS WE GET THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE WORK AND SCHOOL WEEK. SO LET'S TALK ABOUT OUR NEXT WEATHER MAKER. THAT'S GOING TO BE RAIN, AND THE POTENTIAL FOR A FEW EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WITH A COLD FRONT. THAT FRONT WILL PUSH THROUGH LOWER MICHIGAN AS WE HEAD INTO THE PRE-DAWN HOURS OF FRIDAY. AND THEN BY THE TIME WE GET TO LATE MORNING, YOU MIGHT START TO SEE SOME OF THOSE SHOWERS DEVELOP. THIS IS A LITTLE SNAPSHOT BY 915, BUT MOST OF THAT ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE STATE AS IT INCHES EASTWARD. NOW YOU'RE GOING TO START TO SEE THAT INTENSITY AMP UP AS WE GET INTO THE 4 TO 5:00 HOUR ON FRIDAY. AND THIS COULD LINGER INTO YOUR FRIDAY NIGHT. SO WE'LL BE FINE TUNING THE TIMELINE OF THIS OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. BUT AS IT STANDS RIGHT NOW WITH THE MODEL DATA WE'RE GETTING IN, I THINK THIS COULD IMPACT FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL GAMES. HOPEFULLY BY SATURDAY, THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAMES WILL NOT BE AS IMPACTED AS WE WILL BE PUSHING THIS EASTWARD. SO YOU MIGHT HAVE A LINGERING SPRINKLE OR TWO A LITTLE DAMP OUT THERE, BUT FINGERS CROSSED THAT WE'RE DRYING THINGS OUT SO THE SPARTANS ARE AWAY. THIS WEEKEND. BUT MICHIGAN IS AT HOME TAKING ON TEXAS BIG GAME, NOON KICKOFF AT THE BIG HOUSE AND FOR TAILGATING. UPPER SECONDS AT 10 A.M. FINGERS CROSSED. DRYING THINGS OUT, BUT STILL PRETTY BREEZY AND COOL AS WE ARE ENTERING THE BIG HOUSE AT 62 DEGREES. AND THEN THAT KICK OFF IN THE 60S. PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES AS WE GET TOWARDS GAMES END AND WILL BE IN THE MID 60S FOR THE AFTERNOON HIGH. LET'S TALK SUNDAY NIGHT BECAUSE THE LIONS WILL BE HOME FOR SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL RIGHT HERE ON LOCAL 4. AND IF YOU'RE DOING SOME TAILGATING IN THE EVENING, IT'S A COOL TAILGATE. WILL BE IN THE 60S AND THAT KICKOFF IS AT 820. AND SO WE'LL BE AT 62 DEGREES FOR FOLKS THAT ARE MAKING THAT LAST MINUTE PUSH INTO THE STADIUM. BUT AS YOU ARE LEAVING, FORD FIELD WILL BE C
