NOT GOING TO BE NEARLY AS WIDESPREAD AS WHAT WE HAD YESTERDAY, BUT EXACT TRACK 40 IS SHOWING THOSE HEADING INTO THE LATE AFTERNOON HOURS TODAY. THOSE RIGHT NOW. NORTHWESTERN PORTIONS OF LIVINGSTON COUNTY. THERE'S HOWELL. SO WORKING UP TOWARD CHOCTAW. THEN WORKING BACK TOWARD OWASSO AND WORKING INTO INGHAM COUNTY TOWARD LANSING. NOTHING SEVERE. WE ARE NOT EXPECTING SEVERE WEATHER TODAY, MUCH LIKE WE HAD YESTERDAY. WE COULD SEE SE BRIEFLY HEAVY RAIN AND SOME GUSTY WINDS WITH THOSE STORMS. IF THEY MOVE OFF TO THE EAST. BUT I THINK BY MID TO LATE EVENING TONIGHT WE ARE WINDING ANY KIND OF THUNDERSTORM THREAT DOWN. TOWER CAM OVER DOWNTOWN DETROIT. WE'RE GETTING A LITTLE BIT OF SUNSHINE BETWEEN SOME OF THAT CLOUD COVER. FOR SOME OF US, THE FIRST TIME TODAY, SITTING AT 81 HERE IN DETROIT. 84 OVER IN ANN ARBOR. 80 AS YOU WORK INTO PONTIAC AND A COOLER. 72 WORKING INTO PORT HURON. OUR COLD FRONT FROM YESTERDAY SINKING SOUTH INTO THE OHIO VALLEY, TAKING SOME OF THAT HEAT WITH US. BUT I'M ALREADY WATCHING OUR NEXT COLD FRONT OUT OVER THE MIDWESTERN UNITED STATES THAT'S GOING TO MAKE ITS WAY INTO THE REGION AS WE HEAD INTO THE END OF THE WEEK ON FRIDAY, AND COULD BRING US YET ANOTHER ROUND OF SEVERE WEATHER. THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS PLACED AREAS FROM THE OHIO VALLEY INTO THE GREAT LAKES, INCLUDING THE MAJORITY OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN MICHIGAN AND METRO DETROIT, UNDER A LEVEL ONE RISK. THIS IS A MARGINAL RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER. WE COULD SEE SOME DAMAGING WINDS AND HEAVY RAINFALL AND POSSIBLY SOME HAIL WITH SOME OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS. WITH OUR NEXT COLD FRONT MOVING IN BY THE END OF THE WEEK. SO FOR TONIGHT, CLOUDS AND RADAR FORECAST HAS A FEW THUNDERSTORMS ON THE BOARD UNTIL ABOUT 10 1030 TONIGHT. THEN I THINK WE ARE DRY THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT AND INTO EARLY ON THURSDAY MORNING. WE WILL KEEP SOME CLOUD COVER IN TO START THE DAY ON THURSDAY, BUT I THINK AS WE GET INTO THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING, WE BREAK IT UP FOR A LITTLE BIT OF SUNSHINE, BUT WE STAY DRY THROUGHOUT THURSDAY. MAYBE AN ISOLATED SHOWER, BUT DATA NOT IN AGREEMENT WITH THAT AS OF YET. IT IS IN AGREEMENT THOUGH, WITH THOSE THUNDERSTORMS ROLLING IN AS WE GO THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK ON FRIDAY, ESPECIALLY INTO THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING, WE'LL DROP TO 67 OVERNIGHT TONIGHT, PARTLY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY, THAT NORTHEAST WIND AT ABOUT 5 TO 10 MILES AN HOUR. TRYING TO BRING US SOME RELIEF FROM THAT HUMIDITY OUT THE DOOR AT THE BUS STOP TOMORROW MORNING. UPPER 60S BY 6:00 IN THE MORNING. WE HEAD INTO THE 70S BY LUNCHTIME, TOPPING OUT AT 81 DEGREES. BY THE TIME WE GET TO TOMORROW AFTERNOON. PEACH FESTIVAL FOR THIS WEEKEND UP IN ROMEO. WE'RE GOING TO BE TRACKING THOSE THUNDERSTORMS ON FRIDAY. HIGH TEMPERATURES BACK TO NEAR 90 YET AGAIN, AND AFTER AN EARLY MORNING SHOWER TO START THE WEEKEND, WE DRY THINGS OUT ON SATURDAY, BUT HOLD ON TO SOME RAIN CHANCES AS WE HEAD INTO THE WEEKEND ON SUNDAY.
