WE'RE CRANKING UP THE HEAT AND THE HUMIDITY AND STORM CHANCES RETURN AS WE HEAD IN THE LATER PART OF THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SO WE'LL TALK MORE ABOUT THAT BECAUSE WE WANT YOU TO BE PREPARED FOR IT. WHETHER YOU'RE TRYING TO GET TO THE PEACH FESTIVAL FRIDAY OUT IN ROMEO, OR MAYBE YOU HAVE JUST SOME PLANS, OR HEADING OUT TO SPARTAN STADIUM, WE GOT YOU COVERED. SATURDAY, 83 DEGREES. WE'LL BE DRYING THINGS OUT, SO LET'S TAKE A LIVE LOOK AT DOWNTOWN DETROIT RIGHT NOW, WHERE WE HAVE THAT CLOUD COVER OUT THERE AND STILL A LITTLE HAZE AS YOU LOOK UP TOWARDS THE TOP OF OUR HIGH RISE BUILDINGS. BUT 69 DEGREES IN DETROIT, 66 IN ANN ARBOR, 65 IN PONTIAC AND 68 IN MONROE, AND LIGHT AND VARIABLE WINDS ACROSS THE AREA. AS WE LOOK AT YOUR HOURLY FORECAST BUS STOP. A LITTLE HAZY UPPER 60S AT PICK UP. AND THEN BY THE LUNCH HOUR WILL BE INTO THE LOW TO MID 70S AND RECESS TIME. BUT THEN 81 BY DROP OFF LATER ON THIS AFTERNOON. AND WE'LL GET A LITTLE MORE SUNSHINE WORKING ITS WAY IN FOR SOME OF THOSE AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES. MARGINAL RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER TOMORROW. SO LET'S DIVE INTO THE DETAILS OF THIS, BECAUSE OUR ATTENTION REALLY HAS SHIFTED TO FRIDAY BECAUSE MORE STORMS ARE ON TAP. AND THAT'S NOT GREAT NEWS IF YOU'RE JUST TRYING TO GET YOUR POWER BACK, BECAUSE HIGH WINDS WILL BE THE PRIMARY THREAT ONCE AGAIN. AND WE CAN'T RULE OUT THE CHANCE FOR SOME HAIL. AND SO THE TIMELINE OF THIS WILL BE JUST AS FOLLOWS. WE HAVE THE WARM FRONT THAT LIFTS THROUGH THE REGION AS WE HEAD INTO THE PRE-DAWN HOURS AND BEYOND. THAT COULD BRING A STRAY SPRINKLE, BUT THAT DOESN'T BRING THE INSTABILITY LIKE THIS COLD FRONT. WILL THAT COLD FRONT CLASHES WITH THAT WARM, HUMID AIR MASS THAT CAME WITH THAT WARM FRONT? AND YOU SEE HOW THEY'RE ATTACHED HERE. SO IT'S PRETTY QUICK AS IT MOVES IN. WE'LL HAVE ABOUT A 30 MILE PER HOUR MOTION THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON. AND AFTER ABOUT 5:00 IS WHEN I THINK WE START TO SEE THESE THINGS FIRE OFF IN OUR AREA. SO AN HOUR BY HOUR, LOOK AT WHAT WE HAVE. 60S TOMORROW MORNING, KIND OF SIMILAR SETUP, BUT PROBABLY A LITTLE CLEARER AS FAR AS THAT CLOUD COVER BY TOMORROW MORNING COMPARED TO TODAY, A LITTLE STRAY SHOWER CAN'T BE RULED. THE THUMB IN THE MORNING, BUT STILL PRETTY DRY FOR MOST OF US NOW. THAT LINE BEGINS TO FORM IN THE HEAT OF THE AFTERNOON WITH THAT PASSING COLD FRONT, AND STARTS TO SWEEP THROUGH SIX SEVEN, 8:00 AROUND SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN. BUT BY THE TIME WE GET TO TEN, MOST OF THAT SHOULD BE CLEARED OUT OF HERE, AND WE SHOULD HAVE A RATHER DRY AIR MASS BUILDING IN FOR THE WEEKEND. BUT WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR THE SPARTANS? WITH A FRIDAY NIGHT KICKOFF THIS WEEKEND, 7 P.M. TOMORROW, AND WILL BE IN THE UPPER 70S. BUT HAVE THE PONCHO JUST TO BE SAFE. HOPEFULLY THAT MOVES OUOF EAST LANSING BEFORE WE GET TO SEVEN AND IS IN SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN AT THAT POINT. BUT FOR THE FOLKS IN ANN ARBOR, IT'S A NIGHT GAME ON SATURDAY AT THE BIG HOUSE AND WILL BE IN THE 70S RIGHT AROUND KICKOFF TIME, PROBABLY FALLING INTO THE 60S BY GAMES END WITH CLEAR SKIES. SO DRY FOR THE MICHIGAN GAME. LOOKING AHEAD TO THE LONG HOLIDAY WEEKEND, GREAT DAYS TO HEAD TO THE PEACH FESTIVAL SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. LOW 80S AND OVERALL PRETTY DRY. I
