HOPEFULLY YOU ARE READY FOR FALL BECAUSE THIS IS IT FOR THIS FEELING LIKE THE PERFECT SUMMER DAY. >> YEAH, I MEAN, WE COULD POSSIBLY GET BACK IN THE LOW 80S NEXT WEEK, BUT IT'S GOING TO TAKE A WHILE. I MEAN, MORE JULY LIKE WEATHER ON TAP TODAY COMPARED TO EARLY SEPTEMBER, AS WE ARE RISING INTO THE 80S AND PROBABLY PEAKING IN THE MID, MAYBE EVEN SOME SPOTS UPPER 80S TODAY, BUT THAT'S GOING TO CLASH WITH A COLD FRONT THAT'S HEADING OUR WAY FROM THE WEST. WE SHOWED YOU THAT MAP JUST A FEW MOMENTS AGO, PUSHING THROUGH WISCONSIN, INCHING CLOSE TO LAKE MICHIGAN. SO IT'S HEADING OUR WAY. BUT THAT WILL RETURN TOMORROW WITH RAIN AND STORM CHANCES TO ROUND OUT THE WORK AND SCHOOL WEEK BEHIND IT. A VERY FALL-LIKE WEEKEND AHEAD. AND WHEN I SAY FALL, WE'RE TALKING MORE LIKE OCTOBER MPERATURES. SO TEMPERATURES RIGHT NOW IN THE LOW 80S. THE FARTHER NORTH YOU GO, REALLY. AND EVEN DOWN TOWARDS MONROE CITY AIRPORT AT 82, WE HAVE MORE 80S ON THE MAP IN SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN THAN WE DO 7078 OFF IN ANN ARBOR AND METRO AIRPORT. SAME IN MOUNT CLEMENS, BUT YOU GET THE PICTURE. WE'RE WELL ON OUR WAY TO GETTING INTO AT LEAST THE MID 80S THIS AFTERNOON. THAT TEMPERATURE CHANGE UPWARD SWING ABOUT FIVE TO ALMOST TEN DEGREES WARMER IN SOME SPOTS. AND THAT'S KIND OF HOW WE TOP OUT TODAY. SO THAT HOURLY FORECAST THIS AFTERNOON AS YOU TAKE A CLOSER LOOK WILL BE AT 84 DEGREES FOR THAT AFTERNOON. HIGH AROUND 4 OR 5:00. FALL INTO THE MID 70S BY EIGHT. STILL MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES AT THAT POINT. NOW I DO HAVE A LITTLE BLIP. A CHANCE FOR RAIN AFTER 8:00, BUT IT'S VERY ISOLATED. BETTER CHANCES OF THE RAIN SHOWERS ARRIVING WELL AFTER MIDNIGHT. SO THE CLOUDS WILL INCREASE BEFORE THE RAIN SHOWERS ARRIVE. THAT SERVES AS A BLANKET OVERNIGHT, SO 64 DEGREES FOR THE OVERNIGHT LOW. MUCH MILDER COMPARED TO THE LAST FEW NIGHTS WHERE SOME SUBURBS HAVE FALLEN INTO THE 40S. AS WE LOOK AT OUR CLOUDS AND RADAR MAP THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON INTO TOMORROW. I STOPPED THE CLOCK AT 730 BECAUSE WE ARE PICKING UP ONE LITTLE BLIP OF MOISTURE. THERE AND I THINK THAT WE HAVE ENOUGH OF A DRY AIR MASS OUT THERE THAT THAT WON'T MAKE IT TO THE SURFACE, BUT NONETHELESS, I HAVE TO AT LEAST TALK ABOUT IT BECAUSE IT'S SHOWING UP ON OUR MODEL. HOWEVER, THE DATA SHOWS BY ABOUT MIDNIGHT NOW WE'RE STARTING TO SEE A FEW SCATTERED SHOWERS DEVELOP TO THE WEST. THOSE WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH EAST, BUT THE BULK OF THE LINE STARTS ACROSS OUR AREA TOMORROW MORNING, SO STOP THE CLOCK AT 8 A.M. WE HAVE A FEW POCKETS OF MAYBE MODERATE TO HEAVY DOWNPOURS, BUT DEFINITELY SOME STEADY LIGHT SHOWERS THAT WILL ROLL THROUGH NOW BY NOON. LOOKING LIKE A LOT OF THIS WILL BE EASTWARD. WE'RE NOT COMPLETELY DONE WITH THE RAIN. IT'S KIND OF GOING TO DANCE AROUND US ON THE EAST SIDE THROUGHOUT THE LATER AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SO I THINK THAT GETTING A LITTLE SPLASH AS WE HEAD INTO THE LATER PART OF FRIDAY, BUT THE BULK OF THIS ACTIVITY SHOULD BE FOR THE FIRST PART OF YOUR FRIDAY, WHICH IS PROMISING FOR FOOTBALL TOMORROW NIGHT. SO TOMORROW'S HIGH IS 73. BUT AS WE LOOK AT YOUR FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FORECAST, WE DO HAVE THOSE CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND STORMS. BUT I THINK IT'S VERY ISOLATED. LOOKING AT THE WIND GUSTS FORECAST THAT PICKS UP GOING INTO YOUR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, THOSE GUSTS UPWARDS OF 20MPH. AND SO WE'RE GOING TO BE BREEZY THIS WEEKEND. AND THAT'S GOING TO DEFINITELY PUT A FALL LIKE FEEL IN THE AIR AS TEMPERATURES ARE IN THE 50S FOR TAILGATING OUTSIDE THE BIG HOUSE UPPER 50S FOR A NOON KICKOFF 60 BY GAMES END. HOPEFULLY DRY THOUGH.
