WANT TO CHECK IN WITH ASHLEY ON OUR FORECAST AROUND HERE, WHICH LOOKS GREAT. GULF OF MEXICO. ANOTHER STORY STARTING TO GET A LITTLE ACTIVE. YOU KNOW, JUST A GOOD REMINDER THAT WE'RE STILL WELL INTO HURRICANE SEASON. THAT LASTS ALL THE WAY TO THE END OF NOVEMBER. AND OF COURSE COULD EXTEND LONGER THAN THAT. BUT HURRICANE SEASON GOES UNTIL NOVEMBER 30TH. AND SO WE'RE STARTING TO SEE IT KIND OF AMP BACK UP AFTER A PRETTY QUIET STRETCH. AND SO FOR FOLKS THAT COULD POSSIBLY BE TRAVELING DOWN TOWARDS TEXAS, LOUISIANA, YOU WANT TO PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THIS. YOU CAN SEE THE OUTER BANDS ON SATELLITE RIGHT NOW MASSIVE. AND SO IT'S STILL A TROPICAL STORM, NOT HURRICANE STATUS. AND THIS WAS JUST UPGRADED TO A TROPICAL STORM RIGHT AROUND 10:00 THIS MORNING. SO NOW OFFICIALLY NAMED FRANCINE. BUT WE DO ANTICIPATE THIS TO BECOME A CATEGORY ONE HURRICANE, MAKING LANDFALL MAYBE IN THE HEEL OF LOUISIANA AND THOSE OUTER BANDS STRETCHING ALL THE WAY ALONG THE GULF COAST, EVEN IMPACTING PORTIONS OF GEORGIA AND FLORIDA. SO LET'S GO AHEAD AND PUT OUR TRACKER ON FOR YOU, WHERE WE HAVE TROPICAL STORM WATCHES FOR THE GULF COAST OF TEXAS. SO THAT INCLUDES JUST OFF OF CORPUS CHRISTI, HOUSTON, AND THEN HURRICANE WATCHES AS YOU GET CLOSER TO NEW ORLEANS. AND SO RIGHT NOW, 50 MILE PER HOUR WINDS WITH THIS SYSTEM. BUT THIS WILL LIKELY BECOME A CATEGORY ONE HURRICANE SOMETIME BETWEEN TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY MORNING. AND THAT WILL CONTINUE TO TRACK UP TOWARDS LOUISIANA. SO AS I STOP THE CLOCK WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING, POSSIBLY MAKING LANDFALL ANYWHERE BETWEEN ABOUT 5:08 P.M. IN LOUISIANA AS A CAT ONE HURRICANE WEDNESDAY, THEN THIS WILL CONTINUE TO TRACK NORTH. NOW IT KIND OF LOOKS A LITTLE BIT FARTHER, MORE NORTH AS OPPOSED TO NORTHEAST AS IT PUSHES THROUGH MEMPHIS. BUT THIS STILL COULD END UP HAVING AN IMPACT ON US AS WE HEAD INTO THE WEEKEND OR EARLY NEXT WEEK. AS FAR AS TROPICAL MOISTURE, BECAUSE YOU CAN JUST SEE HOW THAT TRACK ROLLS. SO RIGHT NOW, AS WE TAKE A LIVE LOOK AT METRO AIRPORT SHOWING YOU THIS CAMERA BECAUSE IT'S SHAKING A LITTLE BIT, THAT'S BECAUSE WE HAVE SUSTAINED WINDS OVER AT METRO AT 16MPH. OTHERWISE TEMPERATURES ARE IN THE LOW 70S. BUT IT'S A BIT BREEZY OUT THERE PAIRED WITH SUNSHINE THOUGH THOSE WIND GUSTS EXCEEDING 20MPH IN MOST LOCATIONS. 24 MILE PER HOUR WIND GUSTS IN PONTIAC. WE'RE AT THE PEAK WIND GUST PORTION OF THE DAY, SO PROBABLY FROM NOW UNTIL ABOUT 2:00, YOU'LL SEE THOSE WIND GUSTS UPWARDS OF 20 TO 25MPH. THEN THEY BEGIN TO TAPER OFF AS WE HEAD THROUGHOUT THE EVENING AND REALLY THE REST OF THE WEEK. SO THIS IS A LOOK AT YOUR CLOUDS AND RADAR FORECAST AS WE START THE CLOCK HERE. AND YOU CAN SEE NOT A WHOLE LOT TO SHOW YOU ACROSS LOWER MICHIGAN. EVEN ZOOMING IN A LITTLE CLOSER, MAYBE A LITTLE CLOUD COVER HEADING INTO THIS EVENING WITH A WEAK DISTURBANCE, BUT PROBABLY NOT GOING TO SEE MUCH IN THE WAY OF RAIN. HOURLY FORECAST THIS AFTERNOON. PARTLY CLOUDY. WE TOP OUT AROUND 78 AND THAT'S GOING TO BE CLOSER TO ABOUT 4 OR 5:00 THIS AFTERNOON. AND WE'LL HOLD ON TO PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES TONIGHT, MEANING WE'LL HAVE A PRETTY AVERAGE NIGHT TEMPERATURE WISE 57 FOR THAT OVERNIGHT LOW. LOOKING AHEAD TO TOMORROW CLOSE TO 80. WE COULD GET SOME FOG EARLY. 2 A.M. TO 8 A.M. PROBABLY THE WINDOW OF SEEING SOME OF THE FOG AND LOW LYING AREAS. OTHERWISE, MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES AND THE SUN WILL BURN OFF ANY OF THAT FOG FORMATION. THE TIGERS WILL BE BACK IN ACTION AT HOME TOMORROW. SIX 41ST PITCH AGAINST THE ROCKIES. PLAN FOR 70S FOR THE FIRST PITCH, 60 BY GAME'S END AND A DRY GAME OVER AT COMERICA PARK.
