GET BACK OUT TO METEOROLOGIST BRIAN SHERMAN OUT IN PONTIAC FOR US THIS NOON. >> MAYBE ONE EXTRA LAYER, BUT NICE AND TOASTY. BRIAN >> YEAH, I DEFINITELY JASON. EVEN I'VE GOT THE VEST ON HERE. PLENTY OF SUNSHINE, BUT WE'RE GOING TO KEEP THE DRY WEATHER AROUND AND WARM THINGS UP AS WE GO THROUGHOUT THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THAT'S TOPPING MY WEATHER HEADLINES HERE AT LUNCHTIME TODAY. TEMPERATURES WARMING UP INTO THE 80S AS WE GO TOWARD THE END OF THE WEEK. BUT THEN WE GET SOME CHANGES MOVING IN. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MOVE BACK IN BY FRIDAY, AND THEN WE GO BACK BELOW AVERAGE IN THE TEMPERATURE DEPARTMENT. IT'S GOING TO BE COOLER THAN WE WERE THIS PREVIOUS WEEKEND. LOOKING AHEAD INTO THE UPCOMING WEEKEND, TOWER CAM OVER DOWNTOWN DETROIT. LOTS OF SUNSHINE AS WE HEAD TOWARD LUNCHTIME. MOST PLACES INTO THE UPPER 60S. 69 THIS LUNCHTIME HERE IN DETROIT. ALSO 69 OVER IN ANN ARBOR, 68 IN PONTIAC AND 68 THIS LUNCHTIME IN PORT HURON. AS WE GO THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE DAY, THE DRY WEATHER IS GOING TO BE STICKING AROUND. HIGH PRESSURE FIRMLY IN CONTROL OF THE FORECAST. MOVING OFF TO THE EAST OVER INTO PENNSYLVANIA AND NEW YORK THIS MORNING. THAT MEANS WE'RE GOING TO START TO WARM THINGS UP THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THAT SUNSHINE IS REALLY GOING TO STICK AROUND UNTIL THE END OF THE WEEK. THAT'S WHEN SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MOVE BACK INTO THE FORECAST. CLOUDS AND RADAR FORECAST SHOWS THAT COLD FRONT HEADING OUR WAY. WE MAY GET A FEW SHOWERS IN FRIDAY LATE MORNING INTO THE EARLY AFTERNOON, BUT I REALLY THINK IT'S FRIDAY LATE AFTERNOON INTO FRIDAY EVENING. IT LOOKS LIKE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL ON FRIDAY NIGHT. COULD BE A LITTLE BIT OF A WASHOUT WITH SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE FORECAST, BUT AS THAT FRONTAL BOUNDARY PULLS OFF TO THE EAST, I THINK WE BRING THE RAIN TO AN END BY THE TIME WE GET TO LUNCHTIME ON SATURDAY, THAT'S GOING TO BE CRUCIAL FOR SOME OF THOSE COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAMES AS WE HEAD INTO THE FIRST HALF OF THE WEEKEND, AS WELL. SO FOR TODAY, 75 DEGREES, PLENTY OF SUNSHINE, A COOL AND PLEASANT DAY WITH THAT LIGHT NORTH WIND AT ABOUT 5 10 MILES AN HOUR AS WE GO INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS TONIGHT, 40S TO RIGHT AROUND 50, UNDER A MAINLY CLEAR SKY OUTSIDE OF THE METRO IS WHERE I'M EXPECTING THOSE 40S INSIDE THE METRO LOWER 50S. SO JACKETS NEEDED ONCE AGAIN AT THE BUS STOP EARLY TOMORROW MORNING, AND THEN LOOKING AHEAD TO THE MICHIGAN GAME. IT'S A BIG GAME. TEXAS IN TOWN ON SATURDAY THAT NOON KICKOFF OVER AT THE BIG HOUSE OVER IN ANN ARBOR. RAIN SHOWERS SHOULD BE WINDING DOWN BY LUNCHTIME. IT WILL BE COOL. IT WILL BE BREEZY AS WE HEAD INTO SATURDAY. HIGH TEMPERATURES ONLY INTO THE 60S BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. I DO THINK THINGS DRY OUT THOUGH, FOR THE LIONS GAME ON SUNDAY FOR TAILGATING AND THE GAME DOWN AT FORD FIELD, AND THEN WE WARM THINGS UP BACK INTO THE LOW 70S WITH SOME SUNSHINE.
