[Music] welcome to Evon Illinois ryanfield and home to the Northwestern Wildcats where it will be a sea of purle as the fans are more than ready for this one we've got a terrific match up for you today rich and pageantry and tradition and it ought to be a fantastic clash as we'll see the Coyotes Taking on a squad hoping to prevent another L this week the Northwestern Wildcat glad to have you with us for EA Sports college football I'm Rees Davis David poock and Justin Palmer with me in the booth guys we are ready to Tee It Up Western ready to kick it off to get things started from inside his own 10 let's see what he gets really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 K this offense will get the first crack at it here and there he is to this team's fans he is a heroic figure he is the guy who can lead them to the promised land this guy has been in big games in big moments and he's delivered for his football team it never seems like a situation is just too big for him this obviously is a huge game I cannot wait to see this guy compete went to the running game on first down now second down keeps it on the boot leg on the move to his left short gain on the play before he slides the coyotes want to pick up the tempo [Applause] to the ground to try to move the chains really nice job there to pick up the first down and get it to their own 41 and the coyotes come to the line with a fresh set of downs it's a really good sign if you're on offense here you're putting it on your offensive line on third down critical down and distance opening drive of the game let those guys fire off get a hat on a hat you can run the ball pick up the first you're around Midfield and all things looking pretty good here early for this offense creating some space getting just enough good blocking and they've got it up to the 47 yd line off the RPO complete the defense wouldn't let him boost there and it was a completion but they lost yardage off the play fake and that pressure just engulfed him a sack for this defense on the play the defense just simply not fooled by the play action often times an offense you're hoping the Run fake is going to slow down those pass rushers but man oh man they had their ears pinned back the coyotes will punt this one away they'll have to punt for the first time this afternoon [Applause] they'll get down and put a stop to this return they'll mark it at the 32 so the Northwestern Wildcats offense has the ball for the first time offense getting set for first [Music] down from the gun he leaves it with the back just working and poking and prodding and finding his way up to the 36 it's just so nice to know you can start off on first down with positive plays positive yards handle the football off set up a good second down wide out in motion with Jet Sweep pass and he'll be taken down but he does have enough for the first down offense lining up quickly [Applause] running back searching for a hole they pick up half of it it'll be second and five tried to pound it on first down now back to the line to the air it's right he's got it down the middle tackled after picking up the first down the Wildcat it's moving quickly to the line you don't have to make things complicated you seize Zone you throw the hitch you pick up some positive yardage yes Reese that's easy when my gu really fast and quick those guys in the slot get it to them after the catches their specialty can make some magic happen quarterback flips it ahead quickly to the receiver he is stopped behind the line of scrimmage they'll lose yards on that third down coming up on third down he drops to throw just gets rid of it to the running back underneath and he's not going to get there the defense Stands Tall and makes the stop fourth down and the punt team sends it the other way make sure that there's not going to be a return on this one balls out of bounds and I think they'll mark it right around the 25 oh he's looking to throw it falls incomplete how about the trip ration on first down that just goes a after the misfire now on second down out of the gun the inside hand off to the running back and maybe he'll get back to the line of scrimmage but no more than that and you don't want to start this game with two straight punts big third down opportunity coming here pressure in his face and he lets it fly and the coyotes will send out the punt unit this will be the second time they've had to kick it away he's got great speed that's a perfect example of not settling for a fair catch pick up whatever yardage you can and help out the offense looking for a man it's right got his man down the middle and they finally haul him down but not before the good catch and run now on First and 10 from the 35 excellent throw by the quarterback found the window between the zones and then delivered the ball on top he'll get rid of it got a man in the middle and a confident throw and catch and there in the red zone at the 13 the wild cats have pushed it inside the 20 another first down they'll run it it's border not much Running Room he's got one down to the 12 going to work on second down in the red zone is still some ground to cover to pick up that first down trying play action he's got it he gets it in touchdown Northwestern and wouldn't I start for this offense the throw game getting working getting the touchdown pass this quarterback getting a little bit of confidence this passing game getting into Rhythm nice start for this [Music] offense lining up for the Pat the extra point and with the extra point they get the first seven of the game and for a quick update let's go to Kevin Conor in the studio boys if it's happening in college football we've got eyes on it check this out South Carolina is ahead in columia but that's not exactly George Rogers out there scoring touchdowns this game is a long way from being over they're up by seven over LSU we've got our eye on things here and everything else going on right now and any updates you'll see and here guys and how about that one Kevin will be keeping an eye on everything going on elsewhere they run the reverse that play just never had a chance a knock him down for a loss of five the coyotes want to crank the [Applause] tempo on third down going up top hey the pass rush is effective and they tackle him at the 19 things working pretty well for this defense out of the dime package and still getting plenty of heat on the quarterback yeah get off the rock understand the situation all the fast guys got the backend covered it's my job to seek and destroy the quarterback great job by the defensive line rushing after that guy and getting him on the ground and the coyotes will bring the punt team onto the field they make the stop but there is a penalty marker down let's see what the call is personal foul roughing the kicker defense so the decision has been made and the coach will take the penalty so the offense keep this drive alive thanks to the roughing the punter penalty quarterback on the keeper and they try the middle of this defense and that is not happening let's see what they've got on second down yeah and a great job by the defense holding the line of scrimmage playing downhill playing responsibility football and making sure they shut down that option good pick up on the ground and they'll Mark him down at the 39 how bold will they be on third down after that last run from the gun wants to pass got his man quickly tackle is made but not until he gets the first down the coyotes come to the line with a new set of downs quarterbacks are just like anybody else they get rhythms and to get in the Rhythm early on third down and have a little success here and get the sticks moving great chance to continue to get this offense moving down the field and get some point on second down he'll let it fly oh he's going to try to hit him over the top and it's incomplete after taking a shot on second down they're staring at third [Applause] looking downfield and he needs a bunch quarterback floating away from pressure and they got him he'll get him down for the sack what a great job by this defense setting the tone early in the first half they've been hitting the quarterback early and often make him feel uncomfortable make him feel that pressure keep getting him on the ground that's why they built the lead and the coyotes will line up to pun [Music] away makes the catch and now looking for just a little bit of daylight they'll get down and put a stop to the return at about the 28 yd line they'll throw it on first down fired that thing out in a heartbeat but it's incomplete and now on second down for this offense to the air it's right quick strike complete really good pick up on second down there leaves him with third and two and the Wildcats headed quickly to the line they turn to the passing game on Third and short third and short like that on your own side of the field you're just looking for a quick hitter you're trying to get the ball out of your hand quickly but the timing completely off there for the offense the ball Falls incomplete he'll wave for the fair Catch and haul it in at the 25 on first down here comes this [Music] offense he's looking to throw it got his man in the middle I love early in the game getting my quarterback in R coming out short passes easy completions now we're getting in a good spot now the play fake that pass is incomplete and they're probably fortunate that it wasn't knock free for a fumble from the gun on third down makes his connection he's there to make the stop but the damage has been done as they pick up the first down on the throwing catch he might have expected to see this DB up in his receivers kitchen instead nice little Zone and they pick up the first man offenses are getting so good re and seeing the holes in the zone knowing you're in zone knowing where to sit down how to make it an easy pitch and catch for the quarterback and that's what it was on third sh looking to pass on second down didn't have much of a choice there but to get rid of it a third and long coming up here from the gun wants to pass dances way to by time gets down with the slide the coyotes will punt it away on fourth down he's getting a lot of work fourth time he's punted tonight he's shanked it making sure there's no return on that one as the punt sails out of bounds wild cats have it back the Northwestern offense headed out here's another opportunity Jesse to stretch out this lead after punting last time I think it goes back to your Playmakers Reese I think it's finding the guys that have been working for you earlier on in this game and getting them the football yeah and there's obviously no need to panic I mean think about it you got the lead you got the football you got to be smart with the football make your plays put a good drive together here might as well give it to him again and the defense finally makes the stop after the sweet run and good gain lining up from the 34 on first down another first for the off they'll give it to the back shakes off the defender squeezes out a couple of yards down to the 32 offense gets set for second down to throw it's right a little screen to the running back keeps the legs moving and a knock him down but he got past the line to game guys we've come to the end of the period and Northwestern has the lead here and after that first quarter let's see if these guys can get back in the game in the second Northwestern comes to the line with a fresh set of downs wants to throw on first down not quite in Rhythm there incomplete after the quarterback and receiver failed to hook up they'll try it again on second down he's is looking to throw using his legs keeping his eyes downfield he gets the job done picking up the first down then getting down Northwestern wants to go [Applause] quickly touchdown northwester and they made it to the house where they found that six points waiting on him number 14 [Music] lining up to tack one more onto that lead and he did make that extra point no issue with the treacherous footing he marks 58 yds for the touchdown on that one and the Capper on that drive the 10yd touchdown run on the run from inside his own five didn't find any crease in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the 17 a first down for the offense power football with the Run PS through the defense just searching and working for the Running Room as he gets it out to the 26 [Applause] they'll run it out of the shotgun and the coyotes have enough for the first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs the give from the gun and he's brought down with the 40 yd line and that'll be a first down here's this offense with a fresh set of down and that is exactly why you STI to running the football haven't had a lot of success but boom you pop on right that's what you got to do you got you cannot become one-dimensional and just throw the football every down love the offense sticking to the Run nice job getting the first down oh and he drops it on the crossing route on first down he knew that defense was bearing down on him it'll be second down quickly complete found enough room to to get it into enemy territory they're down at the 43 yd line finally this offense starting to show a little juice they've got a first and 10 the he's going to pass caught near the sideline it's Beal and he'll step out of bounds after a very productive play I'll say this man in college football you see a lot of bad tackling you didn't see it right there that was an awesome aome job first off being there at the point of attack once the tight end made the catch there was no doubt he was going down great job for always a welcome play for the defense as they get a sack at the 47 oh that's a missed opportunity you know the quarterback was excited he saw a man coverage he thought he was going to have an opportunity to come up with a big play but up front they could not protect him well enough seventh play of the Drive coming up but a long way to go on third down looking to throw and he needs a bunch and here comes the pressure and there he goes down again what a beautiful day for the defense sack for you a sack for you everybody gets a sack everything good happening for this [Music] defense the coyotes will call on their punt team they may have to pay him overtime he's punting for the fifth time today yet another punt on the way got to make sure that hamstring stays loose he's been busy the Northwestern offense returns to the field they've jumped on them executing at a high level and up 14 nothing David this is the exact start you wanted I mean offense is playing great defense has gotten stops you're in a position now Palmer to put the hammer down and get a three possession lead I'm really impressed with their physicality on both sides of the ball early in this one they've been winning in the trenches so here on offense keep running the football and show your dominance amazing how many times an offensive holding penalty will stall a drive we'll see if the offense can overcome it they'll try the Run found that space and picked up six out to the 33 Northwestern right back to the line back to pass it's right got rid of it in a hurry but he couldn't find his man it's incomplete they line up with some serious work to do if they want to convert this one third and long and he'll try to throw for it and the incomplete pass will bring up fourth down Northwestern will have to punt it away to it away great contact on that ball as it just hangs up in the sky be catch is called for in the midst of all this rain concentrate on one thing make the catch coming out on first down with the play fake can't hang on is incomplete I think he was bracing for the hit and didn't hang on to the football from the gun they'll try to impose their right running game he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple they'll come to the line at the 42 facing a third and long from the gun wants to pass now he's going to break the pocket Just Trucks through it he's got first down yardage as they move it to the 44 and the coyotes come to the line with a fresh set of downs from the gun the G looking for room a strong tackle and wrap up from the junior got three on first down it's second and seven the give to the back nowhere to run on that one he loses four on the carry now facing a third and long third down from the gun wants to pass fires to the wide out makes a connection and they'll finally catch up to him but not before a big chunk of yardage is picked up that's first for the off wide receiver now comes in motion got it behind the line it's hangor and that will go backwards a negative play in that defense on high alert that time they're looking for an advantage in the running game to the right and he has had a long day at the office not to mention the back field as the defense has been all over him on Third and long doesn't need to take the check down pressure is on the way and the pressure has arrived and down he goes at the 30 man I think this quarterback needs to take his offensive line out for dinners more often because they're not protecting him and it's sometimes it doesn't even look like they're trying that now the sixth sack of the game for this defense now on fourth down they'll try to come away with three he's going to have to get into this one a little bit from 47 yds away no no good and after the Miss it's still a 14-point gamew [Music] Wildcats have it back to Northwestern offense headed out last time David it was one two three kick the last drive that three and out and the pressure gets to him down goes the quarterback the second down coming up after not getting a thing done on first down it's second and long from the 24 the give to the back not a lot of room but found his way ahead for two out to the 26 they're going to keep this drive going they'll have to make a play on Third and long from the 26 receiver looks it in it's complete and sure tackling there to keep him from getting to the first down marker Northwestern will send out the punt team fourth time tonight we've seen this guy come on to punt makes a move really good job by the coverage team to make the Stop and that's where they'll put it in play see if they can turn this drive into points they've got it first and 10 at the 50 going to the ground and he's able to bounce off one tackle but still not a whole lot of Running Room the coyotes will hustle to the line on second down wants to throw makes the grab on the left they make the stop but not before they do their work up top and pick up a first down man down on the play as the officials take a break to let him be checked out first down here with time for maybe one more play into till the two-minute warning looking to move it through the air quarterback moving trying to escape and get it himself and he avoids the hit and slides after the short gain we've made our way to the two-minute warning and now they'll try to at least cut a little something off of this lead before the break moving out of the pocket trying to make magic on the scramble picks up the first down and gets down to void Time Tackle and the coyotes look to do some damage in the Red Zone going up top on first down and the defense makes a play and they get the quarterback down at the 26 on the they got more sacks than a grocery store goodness gracious time and time again getting to the quarterback getting him on the ground this defense having their way this pass rush has just been Relentless and you can bet your bottom dollar they're about to bring the heat again and he intercepts it God room on the return he's inside the 40 he's at the 20 and he's going to score on the interception touchdown wild cats no step back in week three they have been sharp as they extend the lead look I know it's only the second quarter but we're starting to see a pretty significant Gap develop between these two teams right now no doubt when your defense is scoring your offense is scoring good things happening for your ball Club this defense on point reading their Scouting Report making big plays [Applause] they'll try to add another to their lead exra point the kick is up and good and put one more on the lead and let's check in with Kevin Conor in the studio Kevin week in and week out guys you never know what's going to happen in college football check this out South Carolina is ruling the roost right now what an offensive showcase today they can't be stopped they're up by 24 over LSU they'll start this drive with a pass that's caught it's hanesworth your boy KC has you covered here in studio guys in case anything changes in this one oh and how about that I know Kevin and those guys will be keeping an eye on it for us he's got the tight end a quick tackle made but he's got PL for the first down enough for first down he wants to throw coming after him and they couldn't hold off the heat and he goes down with a sack a timeout is called as this offense tries to find a way to get more points on the board before the half on second down just keeps firing and the pressure is coming in and they get him again quick timeout by the defense here trying to make sure everyone has the same call and whatever they did on first and second down don't do that anymore third and very long coming up and he's not going to get there the defense Stands Tall and makes the stop referee signals timeout it's the defense wanting to make sure that they have everything just right with a big play coming trying to play a little field position with that high high Punt and this punt will be down just on the other side of Midfield first down for this offense to the air it's right throws to the wide out and the physical play there forces the incompletion on first down let's see if they go back to the air on second down he's looking to throw turns it Loose got it in the middle it's Gordon not a big window and that throw was money and they got it at the 30 first down for the offense motion from the offense they'll throw it on first down trying to burn this defensive back and he'll take it to the house he got loose touchdown wild cast and this offense isck another touchdown didn't have to go far for this drive but this offense is doing what they want how they want when they want [Music] getting set for the point after the extra point and with the extra point they pushed the lead out a little further to get that touchdown right before the half build the momentum and the last thing you need to do is mess it up by allowing a big kickoff return and he takes this from inside the five nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 here's the handoff they finally make the stop with the big run is plenty to move those sticks for the first down and that's enough and as we wind down here in the first half the offense will just take a knee and try to muster its forces for the second half attack as they Trail going to the break we played two quarters here time to go to Kevin Connors in our halftime update all right guys looks like we've got a great environment there today in Evon an entertaining first half and we've got a multi-p possession lead to break down thanks to the surgical Precision of this offense might honestly take more time to talk about what didn't work than what did the running game the passing game Gadget plays have worked now it's just a matter of finishing in the job and with that let's send it back to the guys at Ryan Field the coyotes will boot it away to start the second half he'll bring it out from inside his own 10 and the return man showing great vision to be able to find some space and put his team in much better field position trying to set the tone with the run and the ball's on the ground and the defense jumps on it and they get that turnover and I like that this offense is continuing to try to stay balanced and hand him the football and show confidence he put the ball in the deck last week they still rewarded him still give him the football but man you cannot continue to put the ball on the ground and expect to continue to get [Applause] carries they'll go to the ground moves it forward just a bit a pick up of one to the 35 didn't get much on first down it's second and nine he's looking to throw and he just threw that one away safe move didn't see anything Live to play another play they couldn't connect on second down now staring at a third and nine a shot toward the end zone and good coverage there to knock it away and deny the score and on fourth down they'll try to put three on the board he's going to reach for a long one a 52 yd attempt it is true as he puts three on the board give the defense a ton of credit in this Sudden Change situation their offense just cough it up and this defense comes out they go three and out and force a field goal that's a win if you're on [Applause] defense after putting up the field goal they're set to kick it away to kick this one away from inside the 10 here he comes not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 the Northwestern offense returns to the field and the fumble on that last Drive could have been much worse David they they bailed him out they held him to a field goal so that's the good news now this offense has to get it going forget about the fumble Jesse move on be positive and they're upset with themselves they're an off that Pride themselves onall security let's see what they do right here you want to talk about making it easy for an offensive coordinator you pick up a bunch of yards on first down make that second down really really manageable that's a great job by the offense receiver on the Move gets the touch pass the defense wouldn't let him loose and even though it's a completion they lost yardage third down conversions are a huge stat and this one would be a dooy they can pull it off unloads to the wide out got his man he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense defense is about learning the plays third down what do they like to do how do they do it so far the offense having a little bit of success but the defense now you got to figure out what they're doing you'll take four yards on first down every time second and six second down coming [Applause] Red Pass it's complete he's there to make the Stop and they threw it in reverse losing yardage on that play if they can convert here that type of play can really give you a shot of momentum always a welcome play for the defense as they get a sack at the 47 you know when you go down Personnel package you got extra DBS in the game so it's harder to throw if you're the quarterback there's just not as many windows they've got more guys in coverage you're expecting to at least have a little bit more time but your offensive line man they just couldn't hold up Northwestern will have to punt it away they've been busy out there to punt for the fifth time today he'll get away another punt he's been really active today and no doubt he's going to earn his varsity letter the offense lining up for a first down play [Applause] hes and fires complete he is going nowhere stop at the line of scrimmage they'll line up for a second down play BR up down he's looking to throw and those two couldn't make the connection it's an incomplete pass they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here [Applause] can't make the connection on third down thanks to that top from hard noos pass defense and now it's fourth down a high kick let's see if he can pin them back deep in their own end and good work by the coverage team to get the Return Man Down On The Ground Wildcats have it back to Northwestern offense headed out off the play fake on first down to throw and it's incomplete if you're going to take a hit like that you might as well hang on to the ball second and 10 after the previous play looking to throw it's right snags it over the middle well nice completion there finding the tight end and what's so beautiful about that is while they didn't get the first they were able to pick up enough yards now to make the third down manageable really putting this offense in a good position he makes the connection he steps out of bounds but he's got enough for a first down and the wild cat has come to the line with a new set of downs quick release on the RPO makes a catch and knocked down kept it on the ground on first down let's see what they do on second com off play [Applause] action and the quarterback will be slung down back in 43 you know one of the tricky Parts with play action for a quarterback is that when you turn your back to the defense to sell the play fake you have no idea what's going on behind you you don't know what the coverage has become and you don't know which D lineman have won their one-on ones the worst thing is you turn around after the play fake and Bam that defender's right in your face a third and long coming up here looking to throw and he needs a chunk play got him downfield and he'll go out of bounds and this aerial attack just continues to car this defense into tiny slices Northwestern making quick work on this [Applause] drive just too much juice on that one as he air mails his receiver out of bounds operating in the Red Zone here on second down he's looking to throw he's got it and still on his feet and he goes out of bounds after coming up with positive yardage there not a lot of ground to cover and not much to defend a big third down in the Red Zone looking for the score touchdown Northwestern and the Ping has started like a Thanksgiving turkey they're is being caught no shot they have no idea how to get in this quarterback's head he's on fire everything he's doing is working defensively we got to figure something out we got to try to do something a little bit different bring more pressure at this right shoot he's on so much fire you might as well just send everybody Blitz everybody live with the results cuz everything else ain't working anyways and with the extra point the lead is even bigger we check in with Kevin Connors what's going on Kevin boys if it's happening in college football we've got eyes on it check this out South Carolina is lighting up the scoreboard right now now thanks to a dazzling offensive display they're up by 20 over LSU any big developments in this one we've got you covered with the best studio team in the business gentlemen thanks for the update on that one Kevin let us know when it goes final he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple after getting knocked back to open this drive it's second and 12 give to the running back crosses the 30 he got away he'll move it up to the 37 Y Line and it'll be a first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs they'll run it from the gun One Step WRA twep squeeze this junor knows how to get him on the ground after the three- yd pickup they come to the line Second and seven softened him up with the run now to throw the quarterback bought as much time as he could but the defense got to him and sacked him but we've seen this offense struggle early in this game protecting the quarterback they went in at halftime thought they made the right adjustments but it's not looking like it right now they're still having issues keeping this guy standing up straight up front they're just getting beat across the board Ball's at the 29 defense can taste getting off the field it's third and long he's looking downfield to throw it's incomplete and he's lucky to get that one back almost intercepted and the coyotes send out the punt unit kicks it high and it's just hanging there as if it has helium in it and floating down toward the Earth that's where they'll mark it down and the next snap will come from just inside the 30 yd line the Northwestern offense returns to the field the give to the right and they try to run inside and there is nowhere to go now on second down up second [Applause] guys we've come to the end of the period and Northwestern has the lead here well guys so far this has been a massive beat down and it would appear the biggest challenge is what kind of Records can they set as we have a look at the third quarter stats so will the beat down continue or is this a comeback for the ages in store we'll see as we start the fourth he'll do it himself picks up the first down still moving and the explosiveness the big Gainer gets it to the 49 yd line man that dude just hits the gas and just goes how nice is it as an offensive coordinator to have a quarterback that you can run just like a tailback and you got a tail back in the back field with him all the time and he can throw so many options but you just see the speed when he hits the gas and it is really nice he'll pull it on the read and excellent Vision to find Running Room there and make a really good pick up before the defense put a stop to it first for the off out of the gun the running back has it across the 25 he's got room they get him on the ground but not before he rumbles all the way to the five what a big time run for this offensive physical run getting down almost scoring the touchdown yeah and considering how well they're running it right now why would you just hand it off to this guy right here again touchdown Northwestern and The Stomping has commenced they push the lead out here in the fourth quarter and close to getting back on track and going two and one points points and more points this offense has had their way they just keep their foot on the gas keep putting up points keep putting up touchdowns and you know what this is one of those stats days you look back and you're like that guy had 12 touchdowns on the well four or five of them might have been in this game and the extra point will tack another one onto this lead so that scoring Drive took only six plays and they punctuated it with the 5yd touchdown run he'll bring it out it's James I know he thinks he can house every return but sometimes s you just have to take a knee as he stopped at the 14 wasting no time throwing on this drive excellent coverage and good use of the hands to knock it away the incomplete pass leaves them with second down he's looking to throw quickly complete and he goes out of bounds after a nice pick up on that one first and 10 from their own 24 ydd line he's looking to throw it pocket starts to collapse hit hard just as he released it on first down and just couldn't get it to the receiver after the incompletion back to the passing game flushed out of the pocket on the run and he'll slide to avoid the hit a Nifty pick up there coming to the line of scrimmage on third down third looking to throw for it working the middle of the field and it's complete and he's knocked down immediately but not before he moves the chains at the 3 that's a first down for the off to the air on first down and the defense gets to the quarterback and it's simply been that kind of day for this offense they've had so many struggles and at this point in the fourth quarter you're trailing by a always wants dialing up a second down pass play that pass is incomplete and they might be fortunate it wasn't knock free for a fumble it'll be third down looking downfield and he needs a bunch he's right on Target and he's not going to make it the defense denying him the first down the coyotes line up to punt it away a high kick trying to pin them deep and they'll down this one at about the 40 Wildcats have it back the Northwestern offense headed out this has been exactly the way you draw things up David the offense has really been moving the football and it's been great execution they' done exactly what they've wanted to do build the lead now Palmer is a different animal now you got to protect them you can tell they were paying attention in practice this week in the film room because they have gone out everybody right now on the same page they're going to go right back to him on first down that's a really good job by the defense wrapping him up getting them on the ground take away that run game make them onedimensional put him in passing situations really good job by the defense makes his man miss and a good solid pick up before the defense Cuts him down will they keep it on the ground again here on third down they'll try to power their way ahead just what they' hoped for on third down as they've got a first at the 32 Northwestern moving the ball expeditiously they'll run it trying to drain time off the clock they'll pick up four second and Six coming when with the running game on first down now back at it back to throw it's right caught and it is well blocked as they pick up enough for a first down Northwestern comes to the line with a fresh set of downs a first down they're in the red zone and they'll pass it snagged in the middle it's Gordon that had all the makings of it bug meat windshield but how about the little corner taking on the big tight end and keeping him from getting the first they'll test the right side got enough space and they're going to score again yet another touchdown as they just added their total this has been a complete performance the defense has been lights out and the offense obviously just continues to pour it on this is what you call having a great day putting it all all together offense defense complimentary [Music] football winding up to add another kicker on for the extra [Applause] point the kick is up and good and put one more on the lead lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown drivew 49 coyotes on the move from inside is is five didn't find any crease in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the 17 line gets set first down he's going to pass finds his Target down the middle he's brought down solid pick up but a little bit short of the first down now here on second down see if they keep tossing it around that friends is a busted play in complete they'll try to move the chains on Third and short from the 25 they'll try to get the first through the air fires to the wide out and a missed opportunity on third down as the defense knocks it free and fourth down is coming [Music] up great contact on that ball as it just hangs up in the sky and that's where they'll have to down it just inside the 50yd line the Northwestern offense returns to the field they're in command of this game now let's see if they tried to rub a little salt in the wound or happy with getting the football it's the defense's job to stop him this is what you're looking for when you have the better team go out and show it don't fool around with them go out and play to a standard of Excellence just dominate you know you're going to take care of business you know you're going to win it's it's like how many how many can I win by and I like that you keep your foot on the gas and just continue to pile it on it's their job to stop you let them do their job you just keep going on it's not about the x's and the O's it's the jimmies and the Joe's this is why recruiting is so important in
