hey what's up everybody Welcome to EA college football 25 dasty we're going to continue where we left off playing the two lane game I know I should have probably switched to ug but I want to get like two L up to at least two games especially since we lost that last I'm kind of upset about that let's see what I want to do with the team I still don't want this I want the other qu yeah I want hard started see Step Up see that's about TR we're going step up we're to step up four stas step up I got to learn to keep in let's get to this game South Alabama to L welcome to yman Stadium in New Orleans home to the D Green Wave and as this city likes to say let the good times roll and the two a fans are certainly ready for that what an exciting matchup we have in store for you this afternoon built around the pageantry tradition and everything that makes college football great as we'll see a squad from the Sun Belt the South Alabama Jaguar taking on a team from the AAC the two- Lane Green Wave for EA Sports college football I'm re Davis joined here in the booth by David poock and Jesse Palmer and guys let's get this thing started to will kick it off to get this game underway and he'll just take a KN start the 25 so South Alabama's offense will take the first swing of the game there he is the man who makes everything go and they believe they're going to score every time they touch it when he's on the field Jesse he plays with unbelievable confidence thre always knows where to go with the football the entire Playbook is at this guy's disposal yeah which is so much fun for a coach so much fun to play with him a guy that can do everything everybody on the field is active in a weapon Bill snap it from the 36 they've got a first down you're too old to play in the games they're getting this guy lathered up they can rely on this guy to pick up solid yardage when they my 2 first and my biggest go should I say not my first the 24 years old to run on that he loses on the you know the r just has to ATI give me that block guys return the inter that's whyer in they stay lock rules let's do something with it don't make this a worthless pick Michael Ivory let's see who's why is he the offense set for a first down play from the gun the ground [Applause] game after the three- yd pickup they come to the line Second and seven they go right back to him just ran nice he out ofs but he's got it up for a first down I know this is an offensive line that has a ton of Pride they want come out each and every game and really impose their will on the D line they got just enough push there on that run play to pick up the first he's got an open man and this defense is a half a beat behind they just can't quite keep up they got it down to the 21 they knew they could slip that tight end behind the back from that play ACC remember stay in the pocket the I have theun you know all these things makes me come up and use my eyes and play run and these tight ends are so valuable to find space behind knew where he was going with the football the whole time because the big fella stay in the pocket stay in the pocket I know the tight end did some good things after the catch but got to get the quarterback credit too for the location of the throw because he put it out in front of his big man he was able to make the catch and accelerate creating some dist oh [ __ ] wrong button it again was yeah and just got enough of the football there by the defender breaking on the football getting his hand on he couldn't B it down but he got a fingertip on it tipped that thing away from the receiver made the big play saving the touchdown and he'll step into the end zone touchdown GRE and that's three touchdowns in two games just continuing to find the end zone continuing to make plays this guy is on Pace for a great season he's put the col football World on [Music] Notes The Freshman the rookie he'll try to attack on one more and the extra point is good and it's seven nothing so that scoring Drive took only six plays and it was punctuated by an 11 yd Run for the score Z he thought about bringing that out for a half second but he'll take a knee and they'll bring it to the 25 guys we'll have another look at this South Alabama offense after that last pick David they really need to take care of the ball this time no doubt and Palmer I want to know what spur said to you on the sideline after a pick do that again and you'll be right here beside me for the rest of the game you got to go out you got to call your plays and I hope this coaching staff isn't going to be afraid to throw it this D second down halfway there on first down it's second and five might as well stick with him stopped after a pick up of four good run to get it out to the 34 I think that was an example of the offensive coordinator trying to help out his quarterback he's trying to keep these third Downs manageable you know you throw the ball on second down and it's incomplete now you've set up third and long and now you're set up to fail Power serious he steps out of bounds but he's got a first down on the play the Jaguars come to the line with a fresh set of downs off the play fake on first down to throw and they get the sack just like that when it's a playaction pass that quarterback really has to sell the fake he can't tell his offensive lineman getting beat right away while he's selling the fake he had no shot he'll try to keep that sa from wrecking this drive here on second and 15 from the gun the running back has it they bring him down but a solid pick up to put them in position to pick up a first down and as an offensive coordinator you don't need the perfect play with this guy as your running back he's going to make the play perfect for you because he makes everybody miss spin moves hurdles stiff arms speed whatever it takes to move the sticks and score touchdowns Lopez lost to fire he'll throw it to the back on the screen still running at the 40 and he'll ramble to the 34 before he's finally knocked down the Jaguars racing to the line in the hurry up and they executed that running back screen to Perfection quarterback held on to it he let the rush get to him offensive lineman got out in position and the running back sold it too once he had the ball in his hands he just had blockers and Green Field out in front of him they pick up an explosive play on a running back screen they're looking for an advantage to the right look at this man made a def out BS another nice gain by the offense all right defense we got to change something up here they're putting a big drive together play after play having a lot of and he takes it to the house touchdown Jaguars let's go guys let's go well oh well somebody's been doing their box jumps a ly getting up in the air Hey listen I'm taking a picture of that saving it let go go let go let's go after latest why would I still be playing after the age of 24 so I can still leave I've been in B since 24 years old everybody aged with me I don't care about nobody who said to at a high level they've got to score points but they can't go too fast cuz their defense right now is tied and I think that's the difficulty being a play call like I have to balance all of those things my defense is a little bit tired I can't get on the field but I got to be aggressive because this is a back and forth type game so a lot to process and think about to the ground with the back gets it out to the 38 yd line aftering up 10 on that one all right well look I know the defense was feeling real good about their run de coming into this one and how they've been playing up to this point but finally David the off breaks through and they finally generate something I can't tell you how easy it is when you're going to throw the ball consistently and I know it I'm going to pin my ears back and I'm going to get to the quarterback it makes life really easy on the defensive line but when you can have fowers now the defense doesn't know what's coming they need more of this if they're going to be successful on offense throws tight end come on and this will be incomplete a big hit there forces second down and the big tight end a lot of times that's a bigger Strike Zone a bigger dude and you can tell they put the hit on him and that ball came out and it came to the turf nice job playing physical by this defense they're trying to get to it and this sophomore able to reach some havoc and get the sa one of the things I love about this defense so versatile in ways they can get after the qu in their last game they came away with five sacks came from all over the place they got the win so you know in this one they're going to dial up a lot of different looks for this offense try to keep their quarterback standing up straight Tain forced to send out the putt unit he ought to be able to use his first punt to pin him deep it'll go out of bounds and we'll see where they mark it it's going to be right around the 35 South Alabama has it back the Jaguar offense going to work how big is this drive scored a touchdown the last time they had it defense gets a stopped and now it's up to oh look out there he goes the 20 and they get him out of bounds after an explosive run just chewing up yardage along the way defense is backed up shadow of the goal post trying to defend their own End Zone both teams wanted to establish the run and they have done exactly that in the the first quarter they'll try to open this quarter by sticking it in the end zone here trying to barge their way in he's got it down to the one yd line right on the doorstep of P the Big Fellas line up in a goal line defense looking for the End Zone on second and goal just hammer it with this running back again he knows his way into the end zone up and over yam be there into the end zone I hope this game is trable I really do they have keep playing college football cuz I really want to let to sell other this short in our year CU this game the next game is not going to be enough and here he comes nice job executing all of the assignments as they put a stop to that return at the 22 Tu has it back in the offense coming out to go on the attack that last Drive won't go on the Highlight Reel after ending in a punt they'd like to be more productive this time David and I think this offense has to be a little bit more balance find a little balance between the Run Jesse and working in that pass I think too David it's just going to take a smart it just takes one play to get this thing picked up and gone after the productive first down play it's second and six back to throw it's HJ finds a soft spot in the middle and he's knocked down but not before moving the chain I like the slot receiver because he gives his quarterback a good option working the middle of the field he's a nice weapon in this offense to the air on first down and it's damn man like you might as well hang on to the ball it seemed like there may a miscommunication there between the QB and receiver just not on the same page just is scary to throw second down for this offense TRS through the defender they get him at the 42 but he picked up 10 I love when players understand situations and they understand where the first down bunker is and they understand where I got to get to a lot of people you'll see run nor South and try to bounce out wide and make big plays oh my God blocked him making big play sometimes about getting that first to make sure I get an extra set of downs instead of trying to make those big touchdown runs while the linebacker showing you read and react he knew exactly where that running play was going and he beat the football to the line of scrimmage and forced the tfl pulls it in it's Preston he's brought down solid pick up but a little bit short of the first down well these wide receivers work the middle of the field so much of this is fi understanding where the holes are in the Z understanding how to get leverage on a man and these wide receivers are dangerous nowadays because they do it so fast and see that so quick and make those plays over the middle and the catch was one thing and the r even a big pick up on that I don't always have to P the ball down the field 11 QBs drop back looking at match ups oh I got my running back I think he can get the first down give him the football let him be an athlete with the football in his hands after he catches it nice job by the QB nice job by the running after that last completion it's second [Applause] down he wants to throw it again gets it out quickly he's brought down quickly Minal gain there still a bit short of the first down defense with a chance to put a stop to this drive night snap coming at third and four they'll try to run for it they are on the move as they pick up the first down they'll spot it at the well the offense is in a really nice Rhythm right now it seems like no matter what they're dialing up they're getting positive yards and it just feels so good as a play caller when you know on first down you can get yards like that turning around and handing yeah and on the other side you're scratching your head going what the heck can I do here you got to find something the defense has got to find a way to create some momentum whatever they're doing right now it's not working so you got to keep going through that play sheet and maybe find something a little bit different that can give this offense something to think about off play action unleashes one and the pass is incomplete thanks to a big hit what a hit by the defender that's a good throw and that was going to be caught but how about the defender dislodging the football from its intended target nice job trying to make magic with his feet he gets the job done picking up the first down then getting down tan looking to put one on the board from the red zone they're threatening to score and they'll throw it unes to the big ball big ball big ball big ball and thees and we his that's got that southern in my sister I tell you what I think this gu name will be called aout Theon he's that kind of good [Music] on to attempt the try bangs it through for an extra point and for a quick update let's go to Kevin Conor in the studio lot of eyeballs on your game guys and a few on this interesting match up as well Wake Forest is currently trailing in this one but it feels like the tide may be turning this program has picked itself up before and it's capable of it again today they're trailing by just four to South Carolina just another week of college football where we've come to expect the unexpected fellas thanks for the update on that Kevin let us when go and the Jaguars head quickly to the line well after that last play you can see how electrifying this guy is and how special he is after he makes the catch if I'm on offense I'm trying to find a lot of ways to get him touches in this game he stop at the 42 but they get it across Midfield pick up 10 and the first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs off play action on first down holds it in and a nice grab with a Defender right on him and he's down at the 20 the Jaguars will line it up on First and [Applause] 10 from the red zone looking for a receiver dances away they wrestle him to the ground but he's got plenty for a first down so so close to cashing it in for this [Applause] offense wide receiver shows motion quick pass on the Fly motion how they get perfect blocking touchdown South Alabama lining up to ATT one more perect blocking like constantly and heer almost ready to kick it away after scoring the [Applause] touchdown he'll bring it back from inside his five he was hoping for something a little more Dynamic but they get him on the ground at the 20 the Tain offense headed back onto the field the way this game started you feel as if you have to score a touchdown every time you have it and now we'll see if they can respond yeah and I wonder how much pressure that puts on the offense Jesse like you know this is back and forth I got to score and every possession matters so much what does that do to you as a quarterback well it puts a lot more pressure on you for sure to feel like I got to make every third down throw if guys are open vertically down the field I got to hit them too we can't let our serve get broken and they try the middle of this defense and that is not happening we reached the two-minute warning and we have ourselves a ball game and they have a chance to take the lead here before the half to the ground to try wow was that a direct the play was that it says I pwi by defense being that's your job be up front in the play make get more passing situations but do not let them run the football that's 101 stop the run first a couple of yards the first down in your own territory but they are going to go for it on that's what I'm talking [Applause] about ripping off chunks of yardage they get it to the 33 I like it I like the confidence of the coaches when you're an offensive coach you got to be aggressive nowadays and going forward in your own territory it used to be no you can't do that now everybody's like you know what that makes sense oh and they'll try to catch him with a pass grabs it in the middle I tell you this slot receiver he really does give his quarterback a nice option runs really good routes he's got nice hands you saw it all in that last play still some work to do after that last completion it's second down trying to get to it our to and that is priority number affect hims on him they do it right here get their first of the G way last time they let's see what continue toing with a first down he wants to throw looking down the middle big welcome to M Rogers Neighborhood game comes through man and we need more of that in the second half an extra point away froming this football a what are you doing in M Rogers nebor that does sound better for a quarterback though but yeah ling up for the P like a ball in Mr Rogers Neighborhood been intercepted a drive there of 85 yds and the scoring play comes on a touchdown pass from two yards out looking for those open spaces and opportunity and returner will be dragged down the Jaguars offense ready to go back to work these two defenses have had their head spinning here in the first half and now we might even see a little more scoring with this drive it's going back and forth this is like two heavyweights just trading blows David what does this defense got to do to get a stop here I tell you what man when you're giving up like this and you've got no momentum you got to find somebody that can make a play to create something and listen if you're if they're scoring anyways let's be aggressive let's Blitz more let's let's make sure we're making them feel discomfort in some way shape or form Lopez to pass firing to the right complete he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense time dwindling away as they try to put points on the right before the half he's looking to throw it unloads to the [Applause] out and they there's not right the 3 seconds The End Zone decision [Music] put it in the interception no bows a ball here before the break a oh and the kicker delivers the three to salvage that drive and the field goal to end the half takes it to half time we played two quarters here time to go to Kevin Connor in our halftime update guys who's had a better seat there in New Orleans for a fun first half than you and if you thought that was a quick first half you'd be right on the money an offensive showcase yes but it's been those Dynamic running backs who have set the pace I'm curious to find out if this ground and pound approach is going to continue into the second half or if one of those defenses will actually show some pride and with that let's send it back to the fellas inside yolman stadium the Jaguars will kick it away to start the second half fair catch called for and made Tu has it back in the offense coming out to go on the attack if it's working why change it and that running game was working in the first half I imagine we'll see a lot more of it here third quter you just know the offensive line was telling their coordinator put this on us let us continue to go out there push these guys around we coach has did a good job on the sideline there just talking to the Young quarterback and making sure he's able to turn the page Cal down to go out and refocus this drive yeah and some people do that so much air under when it's short and less air when it's longing at third and and able toak get to out the how you B your claim not what set you claim not what color you claim how you B your claim out we'll have at this sou Alabama that makes more sense they already know how to claim colors yours out a little that from long way out he's one of the best in the no doubt but this offense would like him and prefer for him to kick an extra point on this drive and do that David they've got to have more Rhythm on offense yeah create field goals you don't get very many W's russle to the ground after sometimes for the defense it just takes one play right to create some momentum obviously this guy's been eating him up he's got over 100 yards rushing on the D finally David they get something somebody else really nice job by the defense pressure the pressure coming and this it and quarterback is toast back at the 35 a field goal attempt from this spot would be 52 yd out a few yard on third down would make it easier no no don't fall down godam and he might be known fors but that was a sure and heavy tackle on the tight end and now on fourth down they will put it on the shoulders of the kicker to save them with his foot coming down the stretch in the fourth and we are all up about set to kick it away well they're able to get a field goal and put three points up on the board after original already and with the interception he'll take it all the way back green a teaching or proving anything he scared to go help out your entire State Le I'm responsible for the city wide wide that big play but defense great job making the interception and you're right doing something slide down don't be content take that thing all the way back and the extra point is true and they have a two touchdown lead up 14 in the fourth they'll kick it off and send that defense right back out there to try to score again after the pick six he's going to bring it out from deep I know he think can house every return but sometimes you just have to take a knee as he stopped at the 14 the Jaguars offense ready to go back to work but I should what you going to do old without you cheating what you formula work at all levels of football you pressure the quarterback his numb to drop he's not as efficient nice job by the defense getting some heat and the pressure gets to him than I don't want to offense going get spark get some points on the board and that couldn't have gone any worse they throw the pick not only that they return it all the way back for offense just shot themselves right in the r gang is dead Louis they inspired others to be Uninvited not themselves they're dead Lou they didn't really play a long 317 game that lead they did they would have sacrific the game to be fulls a that matters it's not always pretty U you don't always do everything you want to do or check all the boxes but at the end of the game Jesse you want that W no doubt about it they made the plays they needed to make in order to get I thought the quarterback showed tremendous Poise good leadership throughout the course of the game defense made stops when they had to make them so right there were some things that are going to need to clean up moving forward but UL they were the better team so that's going to do it for us for Jessie so long this has been another presentation of EA Sports
