am hello Baseball fans and welcome today the finale of this three- game weekend set it's the Cincinnati Reds going up against the New York Mets with my partner Chris Singleton I'm John I and we got a rubber match on our hands today partner yeah the final game of a three- game set they've split the first two and regardless of how important a series is within the larger picture of the season it's a game you want to get up for every series win feels good so we should see a fun match up in this one all right we'll be back to get this one started after this just about ready to go getting the nod on the mound Shawn manah but Chris he hasn't exactly Stellar here on his home M well I'll say this every player wants to perform well at their home ballpark in front of their fans in front of the city and you know this guy no different he wants to be more effective here so you look at the numbers they haven't been great at home I'm sure he wants to turn that around and we'll see if he's able to start that in this one the Lefty ready and a one1 bing ball here rolls foul they're all sold out and a pitch that one missed [Applause] upstairs now a high fly ball out to left Center Nemo ranging after it he's got it and there's one down in now the Reds TJ Fred Chris he's definitely going to finish the year with a new career high in homers we just don't know how many he's going to hit quite yet hit in the air center field Lindor under it brings it in and there's two down that's a tough play for the infielder ranging back into the Outfield there's part of him that's saying hey where you at outfielder call me off but he stayed focused and made a nice catch right there two out Bas is empty in the air out towards Right Center sizing this one up brings it in for the third out bottom of the first here's Francisco [Applause] Lindor Lindor was born in Puerto Rico but actually played his high school ball in Florida goes down swinging for the strike out couldn't catch up to the heater the line of the pitch Line Drive caught that at B is a positive sign even though it probably doesn't feel like it he hit the ball hard but it doesn't always work out in your favor sometimes a Defender through base head so a man on base to start the inning and play that's a team of B right there nice job of staying back and letting the ball get deep stepping in Matt all tied up top half of inning hitters have been in between with their timing today good fast excellent slider but they've not been able to commit to one velocity and stay there off bring down low and in the dirt chase that time for the last half of the inning Jeff mcneel stands in on the ground right side the throw to first and the lead off hitter set down to open the seven Brandon Nimo up now for the Mets hit the air left field he's got it two away this pitch has done a good job of disrupting The Hitter timing with the mix of pitches and changing speed you want to keep that front foot inconsistent for the batter their swings arees and exactly what you want on the M chases the fast up the ladder struck him out back here at City Field here's the center fielder Tommy f l and that's a base hit and the lead off man aboard oh a swing like that can help you come out of the struggle we saw the numbers coming into the ball game but all he's trying to do at this help his team win here's a one1 double play ball to Second good feed that's one over toono play sometimes plays get so quickly that you don't really get toate all the details these guys ex right there really nice fo and a good feed to was the key to the LOF man gets on you want to minimize the threat by playing sound defense hopefully the pitcher can get aall on the ground and they can roll him up for two pulls it down and he makes the catch and there's one down and now the center fielder Tyrone Taylor in the air right side should have it HS it away for the out and there's two down you can tell by their swings this lineup is having trouble gauging speeds timing is everything in hitting and right now they just don't have it and now the right fieler Drew Gilbert two outs well this looks like it's going to be a wasted opportunity frating the string of the change up great start Trev back the top of the N and there's a new pitcher on the M Phil Bickford he doesn't get a lot of strikeouts compared to other so he relies on getting that soft contact and the defense doing work behind they'll have to be in their toes with him on the so diing in Matt mlan and the rander deals broken bat and it's popped up makes the grab on the run and easy Del Cruz takes it himself for one they get the double play and just one out to go now so last chance for the mens now it's the second baseman Jeff mcneel this could end it hit to right and should do it and he makes the catch b game and the Reds with the rubber match series the goal when you go on the road is to at least play 500 ball well they've been winning series they win this one here and you got yourself a little bit of breathing room but you want to keep the same mindset let's go into the next place we
