-Welcome back. We are hanging out with Justin Theroux! -He stars in the new movie "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice," out this weekend. Now, you're an amazing actor. And a lot of people might not know this, but you and I actually got our start together. -Yeah. We did. I thought you were gonna bring this up. You're talking about "Good Cop, Goth Cop," right? -"Good Cop, Goth Cop." -It was a crime drama, where we played two detectives, but it was the '90s and the goth craze was at its peak. -Yeah, so the director kind of insisted that one of us was a goth. -Yeah, it definitely made things more intense. But, anyway, we had our research department do a little digging, and we were able to find the long-lost episode of "Good Cop, Goth Cop." -Jimmy, you did not. -We did. -Oh, my God. I'm so embarrassed! -Here's a clip from "Good Cop, Goth Cop." -Where do I -- -Take a look. ♪♪ ♪♪ -I'm Detective Dan Harrison, here to get the truth! Now allow me to introduce my partner. Get on in here! [ Cheers and applause ] -I am Obsidian! I am the Prince of the Netherworld! -Now, where were you... -[ Hisses ] -...on the night of August 28th? -Yeah, because I know what I was. I was lost in the cloud of eternal darkness! A.k.a. my mind. [ Hisses ] -Thank you, Obsidian. Now, we know that you robbed that bank. What do you want that money for?! Angel dust?! PCP?! -Yeah. Do you want gargoyle blood?! Bat hearts?! Purple talismans unlocking the darkest regions of hell?! -Hey, calm down! Detective Obsidian! -[ Hissing ] -Wait, wait, wait. He's saying something. He's saying -- What? He confessed! He buried the money in the graveyard! What?! To the graveyard! [ Hisses ] ♪♪ -Wow. It still -- -It still holds up. -It still holds up. Yeah. That was -- -I forgot how intense that show was. It took such a toll on us. -Yeah. But, actually -- apparently it wasn't intense enough because the second season, the director wanted to up the ante and make it even more moody, so he decided that both of us should be goths. -Yeah, That's when it became "Goth Cop, Goth Cop." -It was "Goth Cop, Goth Cop." That's right. Yeah. -Yeah. -Wow. -Yeah. Yeah. -Too bad we don't have a clip of that. -Actually... -[ Laughter ] -What? -Our intern came straight from Kinko's, where he converted an old video tape to a high-rez MP4. -Intern? -Now let's play the file. Click on that. ♪♪ ♪♪ -I am Detective Obsidian, Prince of the Netherworld! -And I'm Detective Nicodemus, shopper of Hot Topic. -Yes. And it's time to spill the black beans! We know where you and your gang spray-painted that school! -Oh, yeah. School. I still remember the end of the weekend getting the Sunday scaries. And you know what? I loved it. -Stop it, Nicodemus. It's not working. It's time to turn the dark level all the way up to pitch black. -Why seek the sun when the moon's cold light reveals the truth? -Ahh. The fog whispered secrets the clouds could never comprehend. Don't you get it? -Doc Martens has a two-for-one sale that ends today. The clock is ticking! -Detective Nicodemus! Get the hold of yourself! Wait, wait. He's talking. He's... -Oh. -Oh. He's confessed! -Wha-- -And the rest of his gang is hiding out -- guess where -- in the graveyard. -Graveyard! -Yes! -To the graveyard! To the graveyard! ♪♪ -[ Laughing ] [ Cheers and applause ] -That -- That one -- That one blew my sleeve off. -Yeah. Got a ring out of that one. -Yeah. It aged like a fine wine, though. -No, it was honestly some of our greatest work that we've done together. -Yeah. Well, apparently not great enough because the director wanted it to be even more intense. -Oh, yeah. -More moody, more gothy. -Yeah, more -- if you can believe it. So, for the last season, he added all these, like, musical elements to it. -That's right. Goth rock. [ Cheers and applause ] -That's right. -Let's take a look. Let's take a look at "Goth Rock." ♪♪ ♪♪ -♪ We'll be here till you confess ♪ -♪ All of life is one big mess ♪ -♪ We see the truth behind your eyes ♪ ♪ You can't shield us from your lies ♪ -To the graveyard! -To the graveyard!
