[Applause] [Music] and they are pumped up for this one this rivalry Series dates back to 1898 and now we bring you the coin toss and is presented by Nissan Innovation that [Applause] excites Buffalo we'll see how these two teams play in this game as they prepare for the opening kickoff he sends this one deep he's to the 20 they'll bring him down at the 26 yd line Nebraska's coaching staff the fans I think everybody's been waiting to see this kid play and here he is he's a Star Quarterback he seems to bring everything to the table the crowd I think senses he's ready to have a big day and when your Star Quarterback feels good at playing at home and he gets off to a good start some big things can happen for this [Applause] offense he gets to about the 34 yd line baby that's good for a gain of eight Ys that'll bring up second and three second and three coming up here ball on their own [Applause] 34 once it all going deep and he hauls it in for the 20 touchdown huge [Applause] play they looked awesome on that play a well thrown football and a great effort to get the ball into the end zone and he converts the extra point a quick two playay 73 yd drive and it's good for seven points boy that is scoring in a hurry offense looking more and more explosive the kicker looks like he's ready to kick this one off and it goes into the end zone down for a Touchback now the offense gets ready to take their first crack at it and he makes it out to about the 27 yd line that's good for y that makes it second and Eight Second down eight yds to go B in the [Applause] [Music] [Applause] 27 throws it to the halfback on the screen brought down at the 26 a one yd loss not much going on there those kind of plays will not work against this defense you can be sure of that third down it's third and nine B on the 26 yd [Applause] line he's taken down the 37 yd line let's give this quarterback a lot of credit he recognized the man coverage and guys I'm going to tell you something he probably knew he was going to go to the Post before the ball was even snapped well done we to go Mike 15 guys Mike 15 off play action now he's on the move that could have been a big play for the defense yeah even though he had a good shot at picking it off it's still a heck of a play to force the incomplete pass from their own 37 yd line it's second [Applause] down with the pass incomplete he tried to hit his receiver in stride but overthrew it a little too much that'll come in time just repetition throwing that same pass over and over and he'll be fine the team the team and he's going to be sacked absolutely perfect call by the defensive coordinator he brought just the right amount of pressure from the right direction and it seemed to confuse the offense fourth and long here after the sack they've got 10 guys up they're coming out after the [Applause] kick tackle made at the 38 they're ready to start another Drive hoping to duplicate the results of the last one which ended in a touchdown you can bet this defense made some adjustments on the sideline though I don't know if they can stop the passing attack but they need to at least be able to slow it down they'll bring him down at the 46 that's on the play that makes it second and two it's second down and there about two yds away from the sticks Nebraska is up [Music] seven tackle made at the 45 but the big fella is not easy to bring down he finally gets his hands on the football there's just too many defenders in his face the guy never had a chance hey we got TI right tie right down down 43 is the f looks like someone got a head start on the line false start offense they'll give this one another try after the flag and on third down too that's when you don't want those kind of things to happen it's third down eight to go all on their own [Applause] 40 they go to the ground and he stop short for a loss loss of two yards on the play that brings up fourth and [Music] [Applause] 11 he Fields a pun at the 20 down at the 30yd line the Corn Huskers really took care of business on defense that first time out Herby one of the great traditions of college football is this defense and the way they play with such passion and enthusiasm in this environment we're seeing that again today you never like to have to play from behind but a deficit this manageable shouldn't be in the front of their minds they just need to go out there and play quick throw to the tight end and they make the stop at the 34 yd line that little play action good for about four yards that makes it second and six it's second down six to go ball in the third got 15 gets it out to his receiver in a hurry tackle around the 47 yd line I'll tell you something I'm loving this quarterback's confidence more and more as this game goes on he's really throwing the ball with some purpose we going to go M your team guys mik your [Applause] team and he's tackled at the 43 call it a gain of 10 y that'll make it second and inches so it's second down and they're only about a foot away from picking up the first down watch your team watch your team watch your [Applause] team he gets hit Out of Bounds at the 25 maybe after a nice run like that you try to go up in the air with a playaction pass [Applause] man left man left four down four down M 15 M 15 he's tackled at the 12 yd line I'm really liking what I see from this guy he's not afraid to go to the air on any down from the 12 yd line first down right let's go hey Mike's Mike Mike's 15 Mike's 15 oh no go and he's taken down right around the 2yd line that's a gain of 10 on the play that'll make it second in inches Roger Roger 15 the 15 the I got [Applause] 15 and down he goes at the one down gain of one yard it's first down and they'll be looking for six points here touchdown [Applause] buffalos when you're that close to the end zone it's always a smart play to find your blockers and follow them into the end zone here comes the kicker to try to tie this game up and he hits the pat so that's an eight playay 71 yd drive and they get it in for seven Brad I thought that was a textbook try I thought they did a really good job of showing balance mixing the play calling with the run and the pass just an overall well executed touchdown drive we get a tie game at 77 and he's taken down at the 31 yd line1 y this is a fun game and I think we're going to see a lot of interesting football before it's over down down ready and a quick throw brought down at about the 43 yd line that's good y first it's first and 10 ball on their own [Applause] 43 we played one quarter we're even at seven in this one and we're ready for more football here in quarter number two [Applause] down3 nice catch on that one he's taken down around the 44 yd line number 43 on the tack y first and 10 ball on the 44 yd line takes it up the middle for a nice run five y that brings up second and five left left down [Music] down throws out to the tight end again completes that's a great tackle at the 29 number 1 BR Down 2 [Applause] y from the 29 yd line first down hey I got8 I got 80 he's at the 20 and he hits him hard at the 11 he kept it himself and picked up a good looking first down great execution and a good decision there by the quarterback first [Applause] left left down [Applause] [Music] down hand off inside they'll bring him down for a loss on the play well these days you've got safeties playing up close to the line of scrimmage almost like a fourth linebacker the only way that you can keep them from cheating up is to take some chances down field from the 12 yd line second [Applause] down up the middle for a nice game The Tackle that's good for a gain of four yard that makes it and this is the eighth play of the drive down down [Music] F fires quickly to the tight end they'll bring him down at the seven yd line a gain of one doesn't look like this defense is going to let him beat him with the Deep passes so they'll allow those short completions to the tight end Nebraska is looking to go up by three kicks away and he got it and you got to think they're pretty happy with holding him to a field goal right there and it looks like they're ready for the kickoff he kicks it off and he got all of that one this one's going to be down in the end zone for a touch back with one quarter down I really haven't seen too much separation between these two squads might be neck and neck the whole [Applause] way a little toss across the middle tackle made right around the 36 yd line number 53 on the tackle the from their own 36 yd line it's first down watch the team [Applause] watch it's caught first down and he out of bounds keep those chains moving just a simple out route that time and it was enough to beat the zone defense mik 15 Mo motion motion motion he's out of Bounds at the 47 second and five y ball on the 47 yd line Second and let's go hey Mike Mike [Applause] Mike throws it in a hurry they'll get the first down on that 8- yd completion it's the protection up front that allowed this play to happen the line controlled the rush and it gave the quarterback an opportunity to deliver a very nice throw I got alert alert he gets out to about the 38 yd line that's what I'm talking about baby for aain one y that makes it and 10 from the 38 yd line it's second [Applause] down makes the catch and the defense is all over him they bring him down for a loss 31 Mak Y Line third [Music] [Applause] [Music] down Watch the [Applause] [Music] watch caught open field and he shoved Out of Bounds at the 23 yd line gain of 16 y that makes it first and [Applause] 10 and this play is number eight on the drive check tight right tight right tight right out there check the out there four down down huge play and it's going to be first and goal so they pick up quite a few yards on that play Kirk well that was an excellent route and he did a great job of holding on to the [Applause] football and this is the ninth play of the current Drive they'll line up with five wide receivers and he's tackled right away the buffalo their second time out they're at the two second down 15 the I got 15 and they get him in the back field for a [Applause] loss that makes it thir and goal here's the 11th play of the drive [Applause] [Music] [Applause] under heavy pressure gets it away and it's a [Applause] touchdown you got to give each of these guys credit for getting in sync really fighting to create that touchdown [Applause] and he TS on the extra point an 11 play 74 yd drive and they come away with seven points you when you can throw the football as well as these guys can you don't necessarily always have to have a Balan attack because you're so proficient in throwing the ball so our score 1410 at the 30 tackled at the 34 return pick off turn 33 y not over here not over momentum swings have been fairly even and with so little separation this game can be drastically changed on just one or two [Applause] plays and they make the stop the 36 yd line that play was going nowhere yeah gave a lot of credit to the defense here recognizing pass and swarming to the receiver second and eight ball on their own 36 quick throw tackle at the 41 number 33 makes the tackle at the 41 yd line that [Applause] makes and he's tackled around the 50 yd line nebras is going to have to use their second time out of the half Mo another Nebraska first dumps it complete over the middle he's tackled at the [Applause] 31 that's good enough for another Nebraska first he fights forward to about the 29 r that brings up second and N pressure got to him and he put first 30 minutes so far so good for both offenses in terms of taking care of the football but now the defenses are ramping up the sense of urgency in terms of trying to get the ball back for their offense absolutely you got to find Rees these ball Hawks on defense they need to find the football they need to make some big plays create some turnovers how about using that hit stick a little bit how about knocking somebody Silly and making them drop the football I mean defense's number one priority is trying to turn the football over try to make a big explosive play for your offense so so they can do more damage and they can take the ball down the field so those ball Hawks need to show themselves the second half we've done what we can do here at halftime time to get you back out to the second half we'll keep an eye on everything going on in college football bred nestler and Kirk herb Street ready with a [Music] call Welcome Back everybody second half action about to begin he really got a hold of that kick he's to the 20 across the 30 and they push him out right around the 34 so now both teams come trotting back out onto the field Colorado is up by [Applause] four he makes it out to maybe the 36 yd [Music] line Y that make second down and seven ball on the third 36 yd [Music] line motion [Applause] motion got a man watch out here knocked out of Bounds at the 44 yd line that's a gain of 20 on the play first down man left man left from the 44 yd line first down hey Mike Mike Mike's slings it and he's taken down at about the 31 number 14 with the tackle at the 31 yd lineer first down down down 15 the M 15 the m he's got it with room to run and down he goes right around the 20 number one on the tackle at the Y Line first and 10 ball in the [Applause] 20 brought down right around the 12 yd line number 14 brings him down at the 12 yd line down down that makes it second tackled after a decent run up the gut that's a gain of seven on the play first down and they've got their eyes on that goal line right Colorado is up [Applause] four and he's level at the two yd line gain of three y that brings up second and goal this is the eighth play of this drive they line up in the jumbo [Applause] set and he is drill at the two no that makes it third and goal it's third and goal from the two and they're trying to make this a two-possession ball game r r r and the fullback plows ahead for maybe a [Applause] yard touch down buffalos that is great tough football right there getting down to the goal line and just punching it in [Applause] he splits the uprights with the extra point a nice 10 playay 66 yd drive and the result seven points Brad I thought the offense did a really nice job of mixing up the play calling on that drive I thought the defense was on its heels most of the drive because of the versatility of the offense taken from the three yd line he's tackled at the 23 [Applause] there's got to be some sense of urgency to this offense right now they don't have the luxury of wasting drives if they want to get back in the [Applause] game and they were lucky that one didn't go for more they looked like they've never defended the option before the tailback had a ton of Running Room there first down 10 yds to go B on their own 35 I got it I got it makes it out to about the 49 the reason why it's so crucial to be able to run effectively like this is it keeps the defense guessing they have no idea whether you're passing or running even if you need medium to long range yards [Applause] got pulls down the catch and he's got room here he's taken down at the 43 y that'll bring up second they need about three yards to get the first here on second down he tackles him for a loss that's not what you hope for from your running game you're looking for some solid North and South progress you never want to give the defensive play like that to build their confidence man left man left down down 43 M throws complete he's got space to work they'll bring him down at about the 25 yd line 25 y first down from the 25 yd line first down the Corn Huskers saw one of their top players going down earlier but it looks like he's going to be able to get back in there he gets out to about the 17 yd line a gain of eight y that'll bring up second and three check tight right tight right tight right solo out there check the outs out there four down four down 4 the M gets to about the 17 yd line the tack no gain on the play that'll bring up third and two so it's third down and they've got about two yards to go down [Music] down takes it up the middle for a nice run it's the ninth play of the [Applause] drive he holds on to it and gets maybe two yards on the that makes it second and eight [Music] that's three down and one to go the buffalos in front by [Music] 11 all right we're just about set to start action here again in the fourth quarter Che number Mo motion motion motion motion motion and they got it man as an offensive lineman this is the worst thing that you want to see is your quarterback not only getting sacked but getting hit like that those linemen better pick that quarterback up and start doing a better job at taking care of it [Applause] and this is the 11th play of the current Drive tie right tie right down [Applause] down sets up a screen tail back's got it good open field tackle I know the defense would have liked to have prevented such a big game but the important thing is that they held and brought up fourth down 43 is the m caught it and tackled he didn't make [Applause] it both teams are well aware that a score on this drive is going to create an almost insurmountable lead this defense has really got to step it up and make a stop they come out in a goal line [Applause] [Music] [Applause] set tackle made at the four yd line that's a gain of two in the play that makes it second and it's second down and as they come up to the line they're going to be in the shadow of their own goal post watch your watch your watch [Applause] your and they make the stop around the four yd line no third down dou tight dou tight tight down three down nice run there just a good showing on all three Downs by the defense that should fire him up fourth down it looks like they're going to go after this punt he's got the corner he's pushed Out of Bounds at the 36 nice yard on the run back the quarterback leads the offense back out onto the field as we get set to resume [Applause] play Oklahoma [Music] [Applause] Oklahoma scrambling around tackle around the 24 yd line first and 10 [Applause] and he makes it out to about the 24 yd line no gain that makes it second and 10 from the 24 yd line Second down just under three to go in [Music] regulation Del layed hand off and he's not going to get back to the line really nice play by the defensive lineman I like this guy's size and Instinct make it third 13 check tight right tight right tight right solo out there check the outs out there down down dumps it complete to the halfback over the middle and he tackles him hard at the 20 gain of seven y that'll make it fourth and six it's fourth down and they're going to try to go for it they spread the field in the gun with five wide receiver this one's going deep to the end zone and a huge touchdown [Applause] play WoW how about that call to the tight end big payoff well the offensive coordinator has wanted to incorporate this young player into their passing attack and he couldn't have picked a better time to get in the ball you knew they had to dial up something big but these kids really dug deep for an absolutely huge play play so the offense will stay on the field and attempt the two-point conversion now he's scrambling he's in for the conversion so with just over 2 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter our score Colorado 21 Nebraska 18 Nebraska lines up for the kickoff number 18 to return he'll take it from the two and he's tackled at the Third Y Line off turns 29 y you know this is a real crucial time in the game it could still go either [Applause] way and they get the sack Nebraska is going to take their first time out of the half on the play that'll make it second and long [Applause] they find themselves in a hole here after that sack it's second and long a little more than two minutes to go in the fourth quarter he gets out to about the 28 yd line Nebraska going to have to use their second time out of the half here we go D get off the field here's a screen pass gets it to the back he's to the 40 he's at Midfield and he's tackled at about the 45 the Corn Huskers using their third and final timeout I'm not sure the defender even saw that pass it was lobed so high great concentration to haul it in it's first and 10 ball on the 45 yd [Applause] line and he hits him hard at the 37 a gain of eight on the carry eight on the play that brings up second and one M 15 M 15 no chance 48 yeah go go go go and off up the middle and he's stuffed did somebody miss an assignment there I mean this kid came in untouched I don't know if it's the wide receiver or maybe the tight end somebody's got to be able to block that corner he's going to make plays all day and so how would you sum up the action in this one Colorado came out here today and played with the heart and intensity that you love to see in a rivalry game they should be very proud of their Victory
