all all of that one he's to the 20 he's tackled at the 25 yd line the Red Raiders in their coaching staff Kirk just happy to have a guy like this in the program their offense really clicks when he's playing well well I think it gives them the diversity that they're looking for I mean at times they're going to run the football other times they're going to try to air it out when you have one guy that gets so much attention on the outside it just seems to open up other aspects of their offensive attack and they've done a good job as an offensive staff of putting together a good plan and I'm sure we're going to see it again today and he's finally shoved out at the nine a heck of a play by the receiver we talk all the time about the emotions of college football this play was definitely an emotionally charged Play What a way for the white out to make a statement in this game throws it and it's caught for the touchdown [Music] and he adds the extra point a short two- playay 75 yd drive and a touchdown a result boy that is scoring in a hurry this offense is looking more and more explosive so the score now seven nothing and it goes into the end zone down for a Touchback the quarterback leads the team out on the field for the first drive I got one I got [Music] [Applause] one he gets out to about the 28 y lineing it it [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] he passes it tackle around the 40 yd line good looking play there I think they did a great job up front here allowing the quarterback enough time to look downfield and spot the open [Applause] [Music] man fires out quickly to the tail back he's pushed out of bounds around the 42 yd line that'll bring up second and [Applause] 12 second down at 12 ball on the 42 yd lineer on he throws it the defender had it and then dropped it this is a very well coached defense they know to get their hands up in the air and to try to knock down passes here we go here we go mik [Applause] mik under pressure quick throw to the back it's incomplete you got to give your receiver a chance to make the play that was just underthrown on theth down the punters going to try to pin him deep in their own territory with a good punt here it's away and it's a booming punt this one will go into the end zone and they'll bring it out to the 20 this offense did really well with the Air Attack on their last trip out there let's see if they can do the same thing here I think this defense has got to do something because right now the quarterback is in such a good Rhythm that you've got to do something to try to get him out of it I would suggest trying to bring more pressure try to come up with an exotic Blitz look to try to get him on his heels as opposed to being the agressor and attack from def Texas Tech is up seven and a quick [Music] throw he's tackled at the 31 so the pass was complete for a gain of five on the play and that's good enough for a first down and I like the decision the quarterback made on this play he didn't try to force a deep pass instead he just threw a little dump off pass that was good enough for a first down there's a strike complete knocked out of Bounds at the 35 that makes it second and [Applause] six he's taken down right around the 48 yd line that's good for a gain of 17 yds first down crash and he shoved Out of Bounds at the 45 yd line that's good for a gain of three yds that makes it second and six stop your [Applause] body complete he's got room brought down around the 23 yd line gain of 22 yds that makes it first and 10 [Applause] from the 23 yd line first [Applause] down and he's hit immediately he is such a reliable Target you throw it anywhere near him and this guy's going to get his hands on it and make a catch Texas Tech is up a score gives it up the gut tackle made at the 10s him down that's good for a gain of two y set home set BR up second m m 51 quick strike to the receiver touch [Applause] down and did that play ever develop nicely well it's all about the receiver on this play he beat his man off the line and then ran a perfect route all he had to do after that was make the catch and the secondary didn't quite seem alert enough to defend that pass and he TS on the extra [Music] point roll roll everyone's all lined up and ready for the kickoff nice kick plenty of distance return this one's going to be down in the end zone for a Touchback it's not quite a blowout but unless they do something here it might turn into [Applause] one and he throws it away even though they didn't sack him the pressure was still enough to force a bad pass if you can get in there and disrupt the pocket then the quarterback is going to have a tougher time getting the ball to his [Music] Playmakers and he's tackled right [Music] away y that'll make it third and [Music] one r has some daylight and they make the stop the 42 yd line you talk about a dual threat guy this guy can hurt you in the air or on the ground for another Washington State first [Applause] down che che out of bounds around the 44 yd line gain two y that makes it second and eight they are ready for this man they not ready for this they still playing che check n he scrambled it's complete and he's tackled at the 40 yd line I'll tell you something I'm loving this quarterback's confidence more and more as this game goes on he's really throwing the ball with some [Music] [Applause] [Music] purpose gets it out to his receiver in a hurry and they push him out at the 39 call it a gain of one yard that brings second and [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] N he's out of bounds around the 36 yd line and this play is number eight on the drive third down come on come on seven seven he gets to about the 27 yd line that move the chance for another Washington State rer [Applause] rer he's wrapped up for the sack boy Brad that was a big hit on a quarterback be interested to see how he responds from this hit and whether or not he comes after his offensive lineman and challenges them to start playing a little bit better [Applause] and this is the 10th play of the drive Mike [Applause] Mike and he's got his receiver it's the sophomore they'll bring him down at the 18 yd line what a throw for a big gain that is a great example of the quarterback seeing the whole field and finding the guy who had the best chance of making a catch fires out to his wide out the five 14 that's good enough for another Washington State first [Applause] [Music] down diving for extra yardage call it a g of three Ys that brings up second and goal and that'll put an end to the first quarter of action the Red Raiders lead it by two touchdowns back to the action now here in the second quarter Mike Mike they're crowding the [Applause] linee touchdown cougar [Applause] a short burst for the score that's what happens when you can win the war in the trenches down near the goal line and he converts the extra point so a 13 play 75 yd drive and they come away with a touchdown the kicker looks like he's ready to kick this one off sends it sailing down field and it goes into the end zone Zone down for a Touchback in a game that's this close you can't afford to waste possessions Texas Tech up seven points okahoma okahoma catches it and that's all with the catch number 22 makes the tackle at the 29 yd line 13 that makes it second and six gets to that quickly and down he goes right around the 28 yd [Applause] line throws it out right to the running back and he's taken down at the 30yd line say that went about as well as a defense hoped it would and again they provided great pressure on the play and the offense just wasn't able to get the first [Applause] down he's to the 40 and he's tackled at the 42 down 14 y momentum swings have been fairly even and with so little separation this game can be drastically changed done just one or two plays caught with room to work number makes the Inception that's good for game of n that brings up second and one caught open field he's knocked out of bounds right around the 36 yd line first [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] down and that's his receiver who's wide open tackle at the 23 yd line that'll move the chains for another Washington State first down slings it he's brought down in the open fi on at the 18 yd line that makes it second [Music] and fires it out it could be that the offensive coordinator trying to lure the secondary in to play more press coverage and then they'll try to take advantage by going deep those safeties better be ready [Music] it out and it falls incomplete number0 the intended receiver on the it's Fourth Down they'll line it up for the field [Applause] goal kicks up and it's sails through the [Applause] uprights and it looks like they're ready for the kickoff excellent kick set return this one's going to be down in the end zone for a Touchback in a game that's this close you can't afford to waste possessions Texas Tech is up [Applause] four on the delay and he's brought down immediately that makes it second and 14 from their own 21 yd line Second [Music] down incomplete number one is the intended receiver on the play that brings up third and [Applause] 14 quick throw he gets hit out of bounds right around the 42 yd line Y that makes it first and 10 13 mik [Applause] 13 He steps out right around the 44 yd line that's a gain of two that makes it second and eight disco R disco R and he's hit before he can go anywhere CCH number five makes the tackle at the 45 yd line first [Applause] down gets it to his wide receiver and he's got another one he's tackled around the 28 yd line that's good for a gain of 17 yd first down two minutes left in the half Texas Tech holds a four-point lead [Applause] I love the toughness here by this quarterback of sitting in into the last second trying to make a play downfield only to have this defense get to him he's got to do a better job maybe feeling things out a little bit but at least he has the awareness and a toughness to sit in that pocket here's a run they'll bring him down for a loss on the play L of two yard on the play brings up third and 12 this is the ninth play of this [Applause] [Music] [Applause] drive good job here by the defense if you let this quarterback set and throw he'll kill you all game but they got excellent pressure on that play fourth down they'll call on the field goal unit here for this long field goal attempt kicks away and he just drilled it from Long [Applause] [Music] Range looks like they're ready for the kick he just drills this one and it goes into the end zone down for a Touchback the Cougars really had it going early and things were going their way and now it's a drought here in quarter number two well I think defense that they're facing has done a much better job of playing with more intensity and making it tougher on them it's going to be an interesting battle throughout the entire game to see who gets the upper half makes the grab and steps out right away from their own 38 yd line first down down seven seven down 48 catches it and he's looking for more he's taken down at the 45 the pass good for maybe seven yds good decision here nice dump off it's only seven yards but the offense will take that play every [Applause] time quick strike to the receiver good tackle there in space that makes it first and 10 [Music] the tight end Washington State going to have to use their second time out of the half I'm going to run you I'm going to R [Music] [Applause] you the defender had his hands on it but it's incomplete the defensive coordinator did a great job with the play call there he put his defense in an alignment in a position to be able to make a play on the football everything works perfectly they just dropped the football boy the offense caught a break there and he might want it all here and does and a huge touchdown play and they had a tough time defending that one well Brad one of the things with this defense is you'd leave yourself vulnerable in one-on-one coverage great throw by the quarterback and great speed by the receiver they'll line up for the extra point in an attempt to tie the game and he adds the extra point so that's a seven playay 75 yd drive and they come away with seven points Brad how about the guys up front the offensive line giving the quarterback plenty of time to be able to read the defense and make the right throw good game here 1717 this one's going to be down in the end zone for a Touchback you always want to go in the locker room with momentum so as we get closer to halftime I think we'll see more and more attempts to create big [Applause] plays got it and he goes down quickly Texas Tech going to take their first time out of the Hat second and five coming up here ball in the 30 yd [Applause] line and he's knocked out immediately after the catch gain of 13 yds first down watch The Run gets it he's in space brought down around the 47 yd line the Red Raiders call a timeout that's their second of the half y line from the 47 yd line it's first down they'll spread the field here let's see what the defense does with a five wide Outlook Aon and out the 36 yd line that makes it first and 10 [Applause] and he throws right away Brad I just think this quarterback's got to do a much better job of being able to read that defense and make quicker decisions and especially when the defense starts to get pressure You' got to either get rid of that football or check it down or take off and run with [Music] it throws it deep this one will fall incomplete the field goal units out on the field they're going to try to get these guys has three points before halftime it has the distance and he splits the [Applause] [Music] uprights there's been billing a close game you feel like that it's going to be a great second half and boy we've got the perfect guys in the booth what a reward today for nestler and Herb Street to get this game but you know it's not a secret Reese they get the best game every week that we think's on the schedule right so they got this grave it's great it's close it's going back and forth I mean what a treat to watch [Music] Street very close game now as we start the second half he really got a hold of that kick return and it goes into the end zone down for a Touchback wow close game here and up and down the field with both these offenses matching what the others done well it's fun to watch each offense get an opportunity to go out and make plays and you're right you almost feel as as if one offense feels challenged and has to be able to bounce back and they've done [Music] that this deficit can be easily overcome sure but they have to be thinking if they don't get something going on this series the burden is going to be felt by their [Applause] defense throw and that one's going to hit the ground incomplete number 19 intended receiver on the play from their own 25 yd line it's second down and they make the stop the 33 yd line that's on the play Larry Larry that'll bring up third and two mik mik che check check [Applause] Che makes it out to about the 46 the chance for another Washington State first [Applause] down there's a strike complete and he's tackled at the 47 yd line the that'll bring up second second down and they're going to need about three yards to pick up the first down [Applause] and he carries the ball for a nice game [Applause] that's fires quickly and he's got his man the catch no gain on the play that makes it second and 10 Mike seven Mike seven9 [Applause] gets it out to his receiver in a hurry they'll bring him down at about the 31 y first [Applause] down fires quick to an open man he dropped it number 86 was the intended receiver on the play second and 10 ball on the 31 yd line right here right [Applause] here flips it middle to the running back and he is drilled at the 23 coming I'm cominging s Mike mik [Applause] S goes out of Bounds at about the 21 well they didn't need too much on that play and let me tell you they didn't have any room to spare because they barely picked up the first down go def we throws complete he's hit right away makes it and let's go one more [Applause] throws it in a hurry the 10 touch down Washington [Applause] State and did that play ever develop nicely well it's all about the receiver on this play he beat his man off the line and then ran a perfect route all he had to do after that was make the catch [Applause] and he converts the extra point the Cougars wide receiver had to leave the game earlier with that injury and the word were getting now unlikely to see any further action in this one this one's going to be down in the end zone for a Touchback there's still plenty of time to keep running their offense as usual here I don't think they need to feel any anxiety about trailing there are five wide receivers split out the quarterback in the [Applause] guns incomplete number 11 was the int receiver on the play so it's second and 10 ball in the [Applause] 25 out of bounds around the 29 yd line gain of four y that you ain't going nowhere and a nice catch there before he stepped out of bounds that's good for a gain of eight yards that makes it first and [Applause] 10 he's out of Bounds at the 41 gain the foure on the play that makes it second and six ain't got nothing 1 [Applause] 1 gets it out to his receiver and he can't hang on well he tried to thread the needle with that P well here the quarterback makes a poor decision throwing into coverage needs to look at his progression and find the second and third receiver they'll line it up again on third [Applause] down fires out quickly to the tail back he's gobl up in the back field L of one yd on the play that brings up fourth and seven doesn't look like he's going to have much time to get rid of this punt and he just got drilled their last Drive ended with a touchdown let's see what happens on this possession as long as this quarterback has time to throw and you can guarantee that he'll find the open man and he's taken down right around the 34 that's good for seven y that makes it second and two they spread the field in the gun with five wide receivers [Applause] and down he goes at the 35 yd line that's good for a gain of that'll bring up third and two Washington state is up by [Applause] four tackled after a decent run up the gut s y first down they'll spread the field with five wide open man quick strike and he can't pull it in number 34 the intended receiver on the play it's second and 10 ball in the 42 here I come again here I come again here I come again got it and brought down immediately makes the reception number 29 with the tackle at the 46 yd line that'll bring up third and [Applause] six B in bounds to make a nice catch moove the chains for another Washington State [Applause] first and now he's got room to run tackle around the 26 yd line that's good for game of 11 Ys first [Music] [Applause] [Music] down he gets out to about the 14 yd line 12 [Music] y r this R quick throw he's tackled at the four ydd line number four on the tackle at the four yd line that brings up second and [Applause] one touchdown cougar [Applause] he splits the uprights with the extra point a nice 10 play 72 yd drive and it results in a touchdown Brad I thought the offense did a really nice job of mixing up the play calling on that drive I thought the defense was on its heels most of the drive because of the versatility of the offense so the score now 3120 and it goes into the end zone down for a Touchback the offense is looking to be a little bit more successful with this this drive as they had to punt the ball away the last time they had it down two possessions this offense has to step up and capitalize on this possession pass complete and taken down immediately that's a gain of seven on the play that'll bring up second and three [Applause] he's hit and taken down with the catch number five brings him down at the 43 yd line first [Applause] down he's taken down at the 48 illegal touching offense still second down so at the end of the third quarter Washington State leads 31 20 all right we're just about set to start action here again in the fourth quarter I pressured and brought down quarter y on the play that'll bring up third and one defense hoping for another sack here on Third and long quick out to his receiver that's a huge huge stop here in the fourth quarter they've got the lead they're going to get the football back but there's still a lot of ball left they come out on an empty Back Field he's on the Run wow what a battle and what a stop right there congratulations to that defense that's going to be the ball game I think they had to go for it given the circumstances they just couldn't pull it off both teams are well aware that a score on this drive is going to create an almost insurmountable lead this defense has really got to step it up and make a stop here's the throw I don't think he got anything on that that's aain of one that makes it second and [Applause] 10 check check check slings it brought down right around the 38 yd line number seven on the tackle at the 38 yd line that'll make it third and [Applause] nine Zips it to the back well this offense has got to be elated this is what they had hop for a stop by their defense just to give them a chance that'll bring up fourth and five so it's fourth down they call on the kicker for a long field [Applause] goal the kick is up it's got the distance and he Nails the long field goal and it looks like they're ready for the kickoff he just drills this one back to return this one's going to be down in the end zone for a Touchback the quarterback leads the offense back out onto the field as we get set to resume [Music] play they bring him down BR not only did they give up a sack here but their quarterback just got hit and hit hard if I'm an offensive coordinator especially an offensive line coach I'm getting a hold of my offensive line making sure these guys are on the same page and they've got to take more pride in taking care of their quarterback than that play right there so the sack makes this a second and long they come out in a five wide set he's scrambling he keeps it tackle made at about the 33 yd line that's a game of 17 on the just under three to go in regulation got to set up a little screen gets it to his tail back and they make the stop at the 34 yd line number 95 on the top and it's the offense that takes the field on fourth [Applause] down nice run there carries the ball gain of five on the play first [Applause] down and they bring him down for a sack on the play L of s Ys on the play that'll make it second and long defense looking for another sack in this second down and long situation he and he's level at the 29 yd line that'll bring up third and [Applause] here comes a pressure throw intercept no he dropped it you know Brad the defensive coordinator does a nice job with the coverage call here everybody's in position to be able to make the play the only problem is they didn't intercept the football that's something that they got to be happy with the coverage but not happy with the result he wants it all going long so a big big stop on fourth down here late in the fourth quarter and they're going to have to give the ball back after going for it on Fourth and long not much you can do there you got to go for it and give yourselves a chance nine times out of 10 the defense will make a stop on that play but you know based on the situation this offense did have to go for it they put some points on the board in their last drive and they'll start this one in position to do much of the same the defense has their backs against the wall here they're really going to have to get aggressive if they want to keep the offense from scoring any points here he makes it out maybe to the 26 yd line from the 26 yd line it's second down just under two to go in the game makes it to the 17 Texas Tech going to have to use their second time out of the half that makes it first and 10 Rog Roger f up the middle for a nice game the Red Raiders using their third and last timeout so it's second down now they need about four yds to pick up the first [Applause] what a play and that is first and goal down n y that makes it first and goal touchdown Washington [Applause] State still a long ways to go here in the fourth quarter but that score has certainly put them in a great position to win the football game and he hits the pat a nice five playay 30yd drive and the result seven points boy this offense right now is just being physical really controlling the line of scrimmage and it's opening up some nice big lanes for the running back he's taken down at the 23 yd line up return 23 yd the quarterback leads the offense back out onto the field as we get set to resume [Applause] play now he's scambling so when you feel pressure like that the worst thing you want to do is just to throw the ball into coverage he got away with one right there he's very fortunate next time he should just throw it away out of bounds just over a minute [Applause] left quick throw out to the receiver and he's tackled at the 30 yd line the reception that makes caught out of the open and he tackles him hard at the 36 G of six on the first down [Applause] going long caught sideline and he stays in so on first down they go to the air and pick up huge yardage well that was just a well executed play they picked a perfect time to stretch the defense with a passing play and it worked so the coach challenges the call and they're going to try to determine if the receiver made the catch inbounds so the referee initially calls it a catch but we'll have a chance to take a second look at it and determine if he really was in bounds when he caught the ball well the side judge was standing right there so I'd be surprised if he missed that call review the play the ruling on the field is reversed so after the review the verdict is that it was no catch they missed it on the field but that was a bang bang play the important thing is they got the call right from their own 36 yd line Second down got his man can't tack on any yardage Che call it a gain of seven yards check check check check that'll bring up third and two pulls it in and he's in the open field they'll bring him down around the 41 yd line a gain of 16 y that makes it first and 10 Al [Applause] Al throws out to the running back no good the tail back the intended target well here the quarterback put just a little bit too much on the ball and over here's the eighth play of the series motion motion it's ready of it quickly and that was almost picked great reaction to get his hands in the way of that pass that's not an easy play to make they line up for another third down and they've had no problem converting their first two [Music] [Applause] there's a strike complete and he is drilled at the 28 yd line alert alert y 15 check 15 first down down spikes the ball spikes the ball that makes it second and 10 second down 10 yds to go ball on the 28 yd line out here's the
