86 he really got a hold of that [Applause] kick tackle at the 20 yd [Music] line so here comes the offense taking the field for the first time today up the middle for a nice game with the tackle call it a gain of six yds brings up second and five finds his receiver and that's a first down and he's taken down at about the 33 yd line the pass is complete for seven yds and that'll be a first down and how about the pors of this quarterback to locate his receiver pass the sticks and get him the ball that was a great throw and the quarterback didn't waste any time getting rid of that one he took the snap and he threw it right out there and he's tackled at the 48 yd line very well-designed play that time to give him a first down the lineman executed their blocks nicely and it went for a good game might have been some early movement up front FAL start offense little stumbles like these can kill your offensive progress still first down so the penalty will make it first and [Applause] 15 going long he almost had it but it's incomplete hey that's a heads up play there by the defender get those hands up and something good may just happen he's at the 40 and he's hit before he can go anywhere very solid gain through the air I'm impressed with the Poise of this quarterback and the ability of the receiver to keep his concentration and get his hands on the football football they'll bring him down at the 27 I really like going to the tight end here on third down it's not even about the defense not expecting it because I think they did it's about mismatches he's probably bigger and stronger than the guy who's trying to cover him and he is drilled at the 25 yd line number 48 brings him down 25 yd line 4 that makes it second and [Applause] eight now he's scrambling that's how we do it it's the ninth play of the Drive long for M 41 M 41 dog and they push him out around the 9 yd Line This is a quarterback who trusts his receivers and he knows they can make plays it's like those two were playing catch out there black black five run run run inside G he's taken down right around the 8 yd line gain of one in the play 41 that brings up second and goal get get get he's tackling around the seven yd line that's a game of R play rer rer flips it middle to the running back brought down right around the 6yd line one yd on the play this was just a little dump off pass to the halfback but it was very well defended keeping them from moving the ball very far down field Old Miss could take the lead with this field goal it's up and splits the uprights even though they gave up a field goal here that defense is feeling pretty good about themselves right now it could have just as easily been a touchdown and it looks like they're ready for the kickoff nice kick plenty of distance he makes it out to maybe the 20 yd line 20 y now the offense gets ready to take their first crack at it Che four down four down 52 he's got to throw it in a hurry the pass is incomplete number three was the intended receiver on the play that makes second and 10 ball in their own 20 down down hey mik 522 two x he's scrambling and he's sacked well that time the big fella got home and came up with a sack but credit the call by the defensive coordinator there with the Blitz the offensive linemen were occupied with those linebackers and it freed up the defensive linemen to make that sack got a man watch out here steps out of bounds right around the 38 yd line [Applause] [Music] ouch pretty big loss on the play and I think they might want to reassess the strategy here perhaps run a screen maybe hit the tight end or short pattern this D line is just a bit much to handle at this [Music] moment from their own 33 yd line it's second down and they got to him before he could get back to the line I'll tell you what for a defensive back this kid is a sure tackler and he showed put it right [Applause] there TI righte right down three down my [Applause] 52 dumps it complete to the halfback over the middle and they make the stop around the 40 yd line gain of 12 on the play fourth down the pting teams got to give their kicker some [Applause] time 32 yd punts Out of Bounds at the 28 yd line so now both teams come tring back out onto the field oh miss holds a field goal [Applause] lead tackle at the 28 yd line picked up a yard of anything on that run we've watched this guy play and over the course of his college career he's made some spectacular tackles nice play K K and down he goes at the 27 yd line L of one y on the play it third and [Applause] 11 third down and 11 coming up here ball on their own 27 [Applause] and he hits him hard at the 19 yd line that's a l of Y that makes it fourth and long the sack makes this a fourth and very [Applause] long made a few guys miss on his way to a quality return you never like to have the play from behind but a deficit this manageable shouldn't be in the front of their minds they just need to go out there and play [Applause] [Music] has some daylight decent run here right side so the quarterback keeps it for about seven yds so at the end of one the rebels lead three [Applause] nothing set to resume action here in the second quarter and we've got a tight ball game down down Mike 52 mik 52 tackle made at the 28 let [Applause] go gets to about the 27 yd line call it that brings up second and down 522 there's a strike complete and he's taken down right around the 20 number four makes the T at the 20 yd line that makes it third and [Applause] three there he goes now it's first and goal as he's knocked out after a nice game that makes it first and goal down down [Music] Swit switch switch touchdown demon [Applause] diak a short burst for the score that's what happens when you can win the war in the trenches down near the goal [Applause] line and he t on the extra point so a six play 48- yd drive and they come away with a touchdown Brad that's one of those drives that can just tear your heart that can really demoralize a defense when they drive the ball down the field and a lot of the Yards came on the ground he sends this one deep and it goes into the end zone down for a Touchback in a game that's this close you can't afford to waste possessions by 41 they give to the tail back gets out to around the 38 gain of 13 y want that that makes it first and 10 want that kill kill [Applause] kill on the throw incomplete pass number 85 the intended receiver on from their own 38 yd line it's second down here we go here we [Applause] go nice run there carries the ball gain of six y that'll bring up third and three on the play that'll make it second and seven 4 there was some movement on the line ball start offense maybe he got the Cadence wrong coming out of the Huddle the coaches have a low threshold for mistakes like that second down about 12 yds to go ball on their own 46 two [Applause] excellent Oak Field tackle they pick up good yardage that time on the pass play here they kind of put pressure on the quarterback and challenged him to find the hole in the defense and in this case he did nice job gets it that quickly they'll bring him down at the 38 yd line The Tackle call it a gain of eight yds first down easy [Applause] easy and he tackles him hard at the 37 that's good for a gain of one yard that makes it second and 10 gets to about the 34 yd line call a y that'll bring up 3 well they'll line it up again on third down two for two so far on this [Applause] drive caught and this is going to be a first down he's taken down at the 15 yd line call it a gain of 19 yards here that makes it first and 10 green n the 10 touchdown Mississippi outstanding run and great execution by the entire offensive unit especially the blocking up front so the kicker will line up here and try to give his team a three-point lead with this extra point he makes the p8 an 11 play 79 yd drive and they add seven points to the scoreboard Brad I thought the offense did a really nice job of mixing up and play calling on that drive I thought the defense was on its heels most of the drive because of the versatility the offense this one's going to be down in the end zone for a Touchback well this is a competitive game it's fun to watch these two teams go back and forth just when you think one team has the edge the other gets right back into it this is exciting with one quarter down I really haven't seen too much separation between these two squads might be neck and neck the whole way quick throw good open field tackle Demon Deacons on this taking their first time out of the half two minutes left in the half the rebels lost one of their key guys earlier to that injury and unfortunately I don't think he's going to play any more football today gets to around the [Applause] 42 down watch mik watch [Applause] [Music] mik fires right s side got his tail back he's tackled around the 49 yd line gain of seven y that'll bring up second and down down 522 slings it right the pass is incomplete number three the intended receiver on the play third down and they're going to need about three yds to pick up the first [Music] [Applause] down and he's level at the 46 yd line well on third down we expected them to go to the air and they did just that picking up the first down [Music] brought down at the 32 yd line number 21 tack that's good enough for another first down red two 3 [Applause] 15 he gets rid of this one the defense got some pressure and forced a bad pass I think been a little bit more aggressive here with their pass rush and that time it paid off with an incompletion and this play is number eight on the [Applause] drive throws in the middle and they make the stop at the 25 game seven on the play Third down2 easyy orang pitches out and the ball is up for grabs so the offense turns over the pickk the ball carrier here was just careless in handling the ball and a great awareness by the defense to jump on [Applause] it the offense will come out again hoping to have similar results as their last drive this offensive coordinator has got to be feeling so good about the execution that he's seeing from his quarterback and his wide receivers because again they put so much time in trying to put a plan together and to be able to see that actually come into play makes you feel pretty good as a play caller you know this defensive end has tremendous athletic ability and speed he also has size to go with it and you combine all those skills it's no wonder he's getting after this quarterback defense looking for another sack in this second down and long situation Old Miss is up a field goal yellow green fires it out tackle at the 36 yd line we owe you that we've played a half of football here H Miss has got a three-point lead [Music] glad to have you with us in like to see defenses dictating to offenses and make them play on our terms and it's it's fun to watch it's something that as a great every great defense Pride themsel Prides themselves on tackling you know you didn't see very many missed tackles in the first half that led to big plays and try to limit those big plays and when they do get down towards the Red Zone make people kick field goals and that's that's how you see dominant defenses year in year out and and that's what we're seeing today I can only hope that nestler and Herb Street will bring the same type of intensity to their call of with a solid punt right [Applause] here and it goes into the end zone down for a Touchback we're about set to start things up again on let's go Old Miss has a three-point lead 10 they're really fortunate that wasn't intercepted not a very smart decision by the quarterback he had no shot at completing it from their own 20 yd line Second down they's in bounds to make a nice catch that's a gain of 20 on the play that makes it first and [Applause] 10 they'll get him for a loss but you can really mess with an offense's game plan if you can take away their ability to run that'll bring up second deficit can be easily overcome sure but they have to be thinking if they don't get something going on this series the burden is going to be felt by their defense easy easy easy [Applause] easy gains fourth down Wake Forest is down three and looking to tie it up he gets it up and it's long enough and he just drilled it from Long Range everyone's all lined up and ready for the kickoff sends it sailing [Applause] downfield he got hit hard you don't want to squander any possessions but maybe now's the right time to dip into your bag of tricks a little think about some Gadget plays to catch the defense now happen the quarterback in the gun empty backfield five wide receivers in the formation on the move he throws complete that's a great tackle at the 25 yd line they fake the hand off and complete the pass good for six yds [Applause] 41 he gets out to about the 28 yd line gain of three y that he throws caught at the 30 to the 20 what a play and that'll set up a first and goal gain of 67 on the play that makes it first and goal [Applause] they'll drop him for a loss no gain on the play that brings up second and goal so at the end of the third quarter this one's all even at 10 [Music] we've played three quarters even fourth quarter is going to tell the difference they'll give it off here room around the corner [Applause] still early in the fourth quarter and although they've relinquished the lead I'm sure they think they can get it [Music] back he splits the uprights with the extra [Music] point and it looks like they're ready for the kickoff he kicks it off and completing these underneath routs because pretty soon the defense is going to start to cheat up that's when the quarterback will have his chance to go over the top for the big Play2 go here we go here they really didn't need that and as a quarterback you can't give up an interception late in the game you got to be more careful with the football let's go let's get this ball back to the offense let's
