Picks Josh Hates In Each Round of Fantasy Football Drafts

Josh's LEAST Favorite Pick In Every Round over the last few weeks Hayden has taken you through his favorite picks on Underdog then I did the same exact thing for all of your home redraft leagues recently he told you the landmines the ones to avoid over and Underdog so that means we close this series with my least favorite picks in your home League drafts how's that sound hay this is one of my favorite shows of the year because I like watching you squirm as you get nervous about your official Fates list nope feel 100% confident in all of this will not disrupt or hurt anyone's feelings out there as you all know for this list we are taking the aggregated adps from the likes of Yahoo from nfl.com from CBS This is a great tool over on 4for4.com if you want to check it out we're going to go round by round and I'll call out at least one name at least one name in each round let's kick it off round one we go to the 10th pick that is Jonathan Taylor this unreal stat Round 1 was uncovered over the last hours even preparing for the show Hayden and his running back one season back in 2021 Jonathan Taylor had 85 Red Zone carries That season the next closest player in the league that year had 46 he also had 26 carries inside the 5 yard line the next closest player had 16 in all of these platform specific cheat code videos that we've done whether it be ESPN or Yahoo or sleeper I'm legitimately stunned that Jonathan Taylor is going in the back portion of round one ahead of the likes of jir Gibbs of Kiren Williams and even saquon Barkley part of me believes it's due to that running back one overall season that he had I just don't think there is an Avenue that is imaginable that he can create the same points in the same manner that he did that season I think with the rushing quarterbacks that's always going to hurt them in two different ways one it's we're not going to expect Anthony richon to check the ball down to Jonathan Taylor as much as a a statue quarterback I believe was that the Matt Ryan or was that the Nick fos year whoever it was jacobe br is one of those statue quarterbacks a whole different ball game now with Anthony Richardson and the other part is when they do get down into the Red Zone the goal line now you have to be cutting those carries into half because Anthony Richardson he'll be keeping some of the zone resep so I have him as a second round pick in half PPR I think in full PPR I would probably only draft him like the back half of the second round and guess what he's not going to last that long so I've only drafted him a couple percentage points on Underdog this year for for all those reasons that you just laid out yeah I like jump and tayor I like the Colts but I just don't understand why we're taking him ahead of someone like K Williams like again about the player we only have two snaps of Anthony richardon and Jonathan Taylor playing together in the regular season two snaps it happened last year so we don't know what that is going to be like near the goal line and as we just outlined all the fantasy football running back one points that Jonathan Taylor scored yes it was from some long gains we also need touchdowns in order to pay off as a first round running back and I understand we can look at even last night's preseason game and see that jonan Taylor had one or two Targets and maybe gets more involved there but does hasn't mattered really what quarterback he's been attached to catching passes has never been a part of his game which again is different than all the other running backs that he's being drafted around whether it be Gibbs or Barkley or Kiren or beon or Bree Hall so it it's just not something that I can get on board with in the back portion of round one pretty much zero Complete bus risk cuz he's going to be on the field for to% but in the first round I think that is uh pretty rich that's for sure a little tangent here Hayden if you don't mind me we had this great comment from Richard P on our video that we did with Mike Clay I'll just quote him everyone worries about Kiren and puts him in the third round due to a new rookie but then they buy Gibbs in the first round when David Montgomery vultures most of the Red Zone touchdown work make it make sense you know we get so focused on these adps it's actually a pretty decent point I mean I love jir Gibbs I love Dave Montgomery that team is going to run the football a lot and score a lot of touchdowns but we can already impart the same concerns with jir Gibbs as people are already putting on Kiren Williams and so I just think that we can take back a step because we get so focused and locked in on these adps that I don't think it's out of the ordinary or unrealistic to draft someone like Kyrie Williams as the running back four in drafts right now yeah he's actually my rv4 uh as well I I see that the same upside case as I did last Year Jan m is not going to rotate those guys in so I actually have kyen Williams ahead of Jonathan Taylor luckily you guys don't have to draft him actually ahead of him just because he does often sit in the second or third round hay just mentioned his rankings I know all of you in the comments have been clamoring for this hay and I are going to release our rankings in PDF form to all of you however the only time you can really get it is through Underdog you have to click the link in the description down below or use promo code the show and sign up there's multiple things you get by using the code one our rankings in a PDF form to your email once they are out positional two you also get a Bree Hall pick them special for week one all he needs is one yard that's it and then three we are matching 50% of your deposit up to $1,000 that's a three for one Hayden yeah it's rack city right there th bucks I will add if you have already used the link or you've used promo code the show before this is going to be retroactive as well so hoping to release those in the next day or two if not right now by the time this video comes out okay let's go to round two sixth pick it's Devonte Adams um there's a few Round 2 things here one I was a big Michael Pitman fan last year and that gave us the wide receiver 18 in points per game attached to Garner muu as a volume sponge that's a massive win but not when the wide receiver attached to Devonte Adams now is going as the wide receiver 11 or wide receiver 12 overall I mean obviously Devonte Adams is a better player than Michael Pitman but I don't believe Devonte Adams is going to get 29% of his team's Targets this year like Pitman did last year and I'll explain why because I think the public is undervaluing the possibilities of forced and manufactured touches to top 15 draft pick brck Powers short intermediate multiple alignments second all reports that we've seen so far from this preseason is that the Las Vegas Raiders coaching staff favored throwing the ball first in order to get the competition correct and the decision correct between G muu and between Aiden okono that when the regular season hits they really want to be a run first operation and throw the football second so that is also not great for Devonte Adams who has more competition and bad to average Quarterback play and then third this team could be bottom five in touchdowns and that terrifies me yeah I see a lot of the same reasons and that's why he's my wide receiver 14 rankings he's still second round pick I think in full PPR I would have a little bit uh more optimism because I do think all these RPO passes that Garder mitchu throws are going to go to Devonte Adams he has a history with Luke gsy uh that's the Raiders new offensive coordinator going back to Green Bay when he had his best seasons ever 115 123 catch Seasons the the one potential Saving Grace uh and I looked this up his contract I think he is going to be a trade candidate uh just because the Raiders could trade him they only eat like $8 million this year they only eat $16 million the next year and the team that inherits him is not going to have guaranteed money into the future they're going to be paying him $1 million per game so I do wonder if Devonte Adams ultimately ends up getting traded by the end of the season but that's pretty hard to predict I would still say it's under 50% chance but I am leaving the light on of with Devonte Adams deep into the second round there's too many guys like the the young guys the niik Collins the Jaylen Waddles that I'd rather have as an another old guy I'd rather have Cooper cup over Devonte Adams um but I do think there's a chance D Devonte Adams late into round two uh becomes a decent pick what do you think about my Brock Bowers Theory I think a rookie tight end getting more than like a 100 targets is pretty difficult to do I I I I don't have my projections memorized but I assume I'm around a 100 targets for for Brock Bowers um there's not a lot of depth in the wide receiver group still though so we'll see okay let's go to round three and in fact round three is a round two player because I actually prefer a lot of the names in round three versus these wide receivers in round two like of niik Collins Cooper cup BR nayuk jayen Wadd again if you watch any of our g code videos those the names that we mentioned basically on every single PL platform that are undervalued and so it is reflected here in these home League adps Round 3 uh but name in round two three is Chris alve he's the ninth pick of round two speaking of a team that could be bottom five in touchdowns I am terrified of the New Orleans Saints oh yeah I mean that's scary because he was already the wide receiver 21 in points per game last year and the New Orleans Saints scored the eighth most touchdowns in the league that was also the eighth most passing touchdowns in the league so I know that in the preseason we've seen this 49ers fication of this offense just a little bit in terms of unders Cinder date play action let's get the ball out that has been the cheat code for many offenses out there but I am just terrified of the combination of poor tackle play questionable offensive line starting talent and depth and then a quarterback that has questionable play when he is pressured on top of that this preseason Saints 0% RPO rate that's obviously the worst in the league 18% play action rate that's the fifth lowest this preseason so I'm not sure how much the offense is going to change because every single time I watch the Saints preseason I just see T Hill getting the ball and that's what happens in the Red Zone that's why Chris has not been a huge touchdown guy because they are going to do a bunch of weird stuff in the Red Zone with t Hill and their backs uh and they always have a backup tight end that gets involved too so I like Chris olve the player I think he's going to be more on the Terry mclen trajectory H as a pro I think might be a little bit better than Terry was but Terry was always getting the yardage but not getting the receptions not getting the touchdowns to be a Difference Maker it needs to be this year if it's going to happen though because uh Derek Carr is aging and Chris this is his third season so this would be the year that he would fully break out but I think that he came into the the league pretty Pro ready he was already a fantastic Run route Runner he's always really fast and I think this is kind of the player he's like a tier two player in an offense that I don't really love so I think that he's more round three than round two you're having to pay a premium though for a bad offense I know I mean I just spoke about the wide receiver 10 and wide receiver 11 in drafts right now I would just rather hitch my wagon to Great offenses and you can do that you can do that with the Rams the 49ers most likely with brand auk and the Miami Dolphins and I understand people getting concerned when we bring up you know number two wide receivers on teams and drafting them over wide receiver ones but again if you go back and look you can still be a top 15 top 20 scoring wide receiver even if you're attached to guys that are wide receiver one and wide receiver 10 on the same team it happens all the time and those guys outscore wide receiver ones on back offenses consistently yeah Chris I I I created a man coverage composite score this year and he was top 10 in that so we know that Chris alive is a baller and he still finished 58th overall in fantasy points scoring so even when he was a baller even when the offense was actually somehow I don't remember it but they were actually scoring points last year it still ultimately just did not matter this is just one season but you had to scroll down to the wide receiver 29 and DeAndre Hopkins to find a player that played in an offense that was bottom seven and touchdown scored I think the year before it was like wide receiver 23 again that's a little bit better but we're talking about the wide receiver 10 and wide receiver 11 you have your draft right round four second pick James Cook Round 4 touchdowns this is all about touchdowns I I do not mind James Cook as the running back 13 in drafts because he catches passes and that's really beneficial to the running back position but let's remember that we all thought he played good football last year on a good team and in the second half with Joe Brady transitioning the offense he was still the running back 19 in points per game and the big difference and it really is the simple is does he get the high value touches near the goal line and this team despite the talent that we can all see with our eyes with James Cook and where he wins in certain ways has never consistently trusted him inside the 10 yard line and inside the 5 yard line Josh Allen had 14 carries inside the 5 yard line last year latavius Murray had 11 James Cook had four Damen Harris had two you know sure Damen l Murray no longer on this team and so some people might be wish casting a role now inside the 10 and inside the five it might happen but I also might point to the big bulking 25-year old rookie that they have in Ray Davis and that's where I believe his role is going to be used as a rookie yeah Ray Davis is like quickly becoming one of your your favorite players he's he's looked good in the pre that's for sure um NFL season long in the pick them Lobby on Underdog fantasy which you can use promo code the show and go look at some of the season long numbers that we have James Cook guess how many rushing touchdowns we have projected for James Cook in the pick and Lobby four and a half four and a half and then rushing yards under a thousand as well so like someone like James Conor he has more uh rushing touchdowns projected goes multiple rounds after so in full PPR I think that James Cook could be pretty solid as a as a upside rb2 but I do think there's a little bit of a CA ceiling to his game which I hate to say because a good player good offense um Young player but just like stylistically how they how they've used him so far he's going to be used between the 20s far more than he is inside the 5 yard line we talked about on your least favorite players in every single round where Josh Allen set the fantasy football record for most Red Zone points ever since Marshall faul that is naturally going to regress including he had 26.5% of his Red Zone points came from just the one or two yard lines again I I actually think those would be funneled in the direction of Ray Davis and and not James Cook I could go down with the ship I could be totally wrong with this but I just think with the the trust that they haven't shown in James Cook and instead bringing in uh guys on their second or third teams or a 33-year-old latavius Murray to do that kind of shows their hand of how they view this player and where he wins and where he actually uh succeeds on an NFL field I also say the bills there's I think it's fair to say that they're not going to be top three top four in scoring this year just the wide receivers that they've lost and they might be closer to 10th overall so there might just be few Red Zone attempts period okay the hate is flowing through us before we go any further do want to shout out because I want to be positive here the 39% of you that watch our videos over the last 28 days that have actually hit that subscribe button that have actually left a thumbs up and even a comment down below you know what we trust you with everything that we have you are the people that we would walk into a fire with into battle with 61% who cares who cares about those people who just watch and just lurk and just go away and act like nothing happened I can't tell you how much a subscription means to us so thank you to the 39% who watch And subscribe okay Round 5 round five he was last year's headliner we're going to run it back Kyle pittz the 11th pick of round five obviously I'm much more optimistic about cowpits this year and really any year so far with this offense versus Arthur Smith but what do we always talk about what needs to change with cowpits he has to get more gimme catches near theine scrimmage and he has to get just more touchdowns it's it's that simple overall I simply feel that this is almost no man's land for tight end because it goes after the top five Elite names in Travis Kelce Sam lorta Mark Andrew CH McBride D concade however you want to draft them and there's George KD and the same exact round that people are drafting D concade in your home leagues you almost have to draft cow pits and that is a leap too far that I'm willing to to make at this moment I would simply rather have the likes of James Connor rashy rice and Even Calvin Ridley in this area rather than dive into this boat with cowpits just optimism and belief that it can happen and instead I would just rather wait two rounds to take David and joke yeah you can't sell me more on David and joku I draft him a ton I will say Kyle pittz does have the rare trait of working downfield in scoring 40 yard touchdowns from this position that you don't often see I wish I've seen more in like preseason action from Kyle pittz to evaluate how healthy he was because there was a huge difference between precl injury and postm injury for Kyle pittz Kyle Pitts did not look like an explosive Dynamic player last season in the first two years he absolutely did I don't know where he is on that kind of spectrum right now so that makes this Super Boom bust that's what we're used to with Kyle pittz I will say like there is a 10 20% chance where Kyle pittz like is just too much of a freak and is used as like a wide receiver and everything clicks and you can finish with as a tight end one I think in the more median outcomes he does become just kind of a mediocre pick and I and I would rather wait uh for for David njoku but he's just he's just a super interesting player because he doesn't fit like the the traditional tight end Lo uh label um which is both a pro and a con depending on how healthy he is yeah I understand that he is one of the few rookies ever to have a thousand receiving yards in his rookie year he also was not a real fancy asset during his rookie season those teams were trash though yeah those teams were trash this team should be a little bit better right but touchdowns do matter and look Evan Ingram doesn't score touchdowns but the main difference between the two is also these gimme receptions I mean there were 30 tight ends with at least 42 targets during last season cow pittz was last with just 41% of his targets located Z to nine yards down the field that number was even lower in 2022 at 37 a half% again hopefully hopefully this is stuff close to line of scrimmage and allowing him to win after the catch I just want to see it to believe it and that can make you lose out on the breakout season with cowpits but again I'm okay with doing that because I think there are some better tight end values later and I like other players drafted in this round too okay round six not to cheat off your Round 6 sheet but I'm going to steal a name from you and that is Aaron Jones the third pick of round six um this is a player who converted a career low 4.6% of his Red Zone carries or just opportunities uh last season after converting a career low in the season before that at 13% this is going to be a split backfield I like the opportunity that Ty Chandler has I don't think Tai Chandler is a perfect player but Aaron Jones uh is more directly involved I believe in the stat that gets pedal out there with Matt leor not trusting one running back every single year yep then Matt laflor is responsible for that so while I believe Aaron Jones between the 20s showed a lot of juice when healthy last year he is just a committee back and here we are in the sixth round where that's not who I want to take especially when two picks earlier James Connor is going who I think is GNA totally own that backfield for as long as he can stay healthy yeah Aaron Jones there's just age risk there's injury risk with this one changing teams risk and the Vikings last year they averaged 17.2 expected half PPR points to the running backs collectively per game Dead last in the NFL well below the The League average there and Tai Chandler is somebody that I do think they want to take a look at and I do think there's a chance that Ty Chandler gets a larger portion of the Red Zone opportunities this year than people are expected because Aaron Jones was so bad and Kevin o connell's already said the best of Aaron Jones is when there's another guy and then he went on to to compliment uh Tai Chandler here so there's not enough upside here and I think the risk is like really falling off we're talking about a age 29 player I would even look at the next round where Naji Harris is going who's also a committee player but I trust that rushing offense and that rushing production even if what we've seen from the offensive line from a pass protection standpoint might not have been great with the Pittsburgh Steelers so far but I I trust again that split more so than I trust the positive split end for Aaron Jones in the Minnesota Vikings okay round seven the first pick here Keenan Allen another one of your names uh just like we discussed in our preseason what week two takeaways the Round 7 meth is starting to get pretty difficult here for the Chicago Bears I mean Shane Waldren was 19th in 11 personnel usage last year with a pretty decent wide receiver Trio that he had in Seattle we've talked about avoiding Cole KT because this is also a tight end Trio that he loves to rotate did the same thing in Seattle he will do the same thing with the Chicago Bears really where the math I don't think adds up is the combination of age and how vets decline especially over the age of 30 and rookies ramp up and that's just like generally across the league but we're going to get an experiment and a sample of it directly with the Chicago Bears uh they made this move before they drafted Roman dun and they have no ties to Keen Allen Beyond this season so yeah we might get a really nice start in weeks one two or three but once the season gets going going and we get to the middle part and the second half I firmly believe that romad dun is going to be the superior player of to ke now the second he's remove from two wide receiver sets it's pretty much a wrap for Keenan Allen because he's just not going to be used down the field I think that Caleb Williams the way that he plays stylistically is going to be hitting more romad dun down the field like what we saw on when he bailed out of the pocket did a spin move in through the ball downfield it's more of those type of plays which you don't see Keenan Allen on but the second they remove him from two wide receiver sets it's going to be a WP because they're going to use so many uh two tight end sets and the second he goes just as a slot only player it's pretty much a wrap and I think by the end of the year romad dun will supplant him in that for all the reasons that you just laid out there so I know that his numbers last year were fantastic everyone knew that if you drafted him but the context there is like Justin Herbert was playing through injuries the offensive line was beat up he was just throwing the ball underneath to Keenan Allen they had nobody else I mean they were actually playing Whit Johnson when Keenan Allen was out there so those numbers versus this year it's like a totally different ball game here um and just the preseason stuff is just not been kind to Keenan Allen and we're here in round seven by this point in my drafts I already have at least two or three wide receivers on my roster so at that point I want to play the long game and if I am craving early season production I can point to Courtland Sutton who's going in round nine I can point to Josh Palmer who's going in round 12 and get that kind of Veteran early season production and so then I'm willing to rank or draft radun Jackson Smith and jiga Xavier worthy who are all going in round eight ahead of keen Allen yep I like it okay A little strategy talk there also for just calling out players names uh round eight might get me in trouble because he's also a round Round 8 seven player he's going one spot after Keen Allen and they share a locker room it's DeAndre Swift and I know it's back toback Bears I actually really really like the Bears I just like DJ Moore Caleb Williams and radun more so than Keenan Allen and DeAndre Swift so we've talked about it before like when they signed DeAndre Swift the words that they used weapon back split them out run the full route tree great for us in the passing game mismatch again you know who's also really good in the passing game DJ Moore Roma dun yeah early season Keen Allen Swift finish as the running back 18 in 2022 running behind a top offensive line in Detroit the Lions traded him for almost nothing then last season he finishes the running back 24 again running behind a top three offensive line and the Philadelphia Eagles and they elected to replace him um I also was pointing in the direction of the athletic this morning who said and suggested that the Bears might keep six running backs on their roster uh that includes vus Jones and a fullback but again the math is mathing at this point and if DeAndre Swift isn't going to be a Workhorse and the football 15 times a game I just don't know how many targets he's going to have to get to make good uh on this round seven draft capital I think maybe the most overrated running back in in the league just based off of his tape and he's been a committee back everywhere he goes and even in this preseason really small sample he was getting subbed out basically immediately because KH Herbert is getting some early down stuff as well um so if deand Swift isn't absolutely dominating there they can get khil Herbert involved I think if they do split the early down work I still think Roshan Johnson is going to play on passing situations because he can pass protect and he can also catch the ball out into the flat so Roshan Johnson's a young player that they want to get involved and then yeah the vus Jones stuff is interesting because like they're like he's like their manufactured screen guy and some of that's going to come at running back some of that's definitely going to come at wide receiver but we're at the point where we can't chop this DeAndre Swift stuff too many more ways or it's a wrap and there's too many guys around him where he's they're not splitting this thing up in a million different directions there so even if it's not in this round in round eight round nine I would rather just go up a round or two and draft somebody like James Connor or David Montgomery who is at least attached to an offense that I know is gonna uh run the ball Aton once once they get down to the Red Zone I mean this same round again is Naji Harris Raheem moard Jaylen Warren uh we've talked about javante Williams we've talked about Brian Robinson Taj Spears single T yeah I mean there there's there's a lot of the these similar if not better bets that I'm willing to take on those names uh and every vus Jones touch is a Touch Away from DeAndre Swift like this team had so much money going into free agency that they probably felt that hey we need to get some explosive plays other than DJ Moore in this roster and as we saw the screen pass in week one the preseason that can be an explosive play for DeAndre Swift I just don't believe that means they're going to make him a Workhorse a featured player a bcal those types of things and a major part of his past was was well he doesn't have Jaylen Herz to contend with at the goal line I mean d Swift still had 27 carries inside the 10 yard line last year and he had five touchdowns yeah he actually had eight more carries inside the 10 yard line Hayden than Shane Waldron's lead running back last year and Kenneth Walker with there Shane Round 9 Waldren is on my radar I'll just leave it at that another running back in round nine this one pains me to say he's a ninth pick here Nick chub this is simple and it's toofold first I think from an overall standpoint we are looking at the Cleveland Browns shifting their offens of identity from chub focused with Baker Mayfield uh to passing focused we saw that in the back half of last year second point if anyone can come back from the injury that Nick chub sustained it's almost certainly Nick chub but if he's the player that you needed in the back half of the season in the middle portion of the Season I'm okay with fading Nick chub I'm okay and missing out on that I'm cool with being wrong I just don't know how different The Dilemma you have is between drafting Nick chub and drafting like JK three rounds later and Rico dat three rounds later yeah you just don't have to draft the players coming off injury either like you don't have to skip over Nick chub to draft JK Dobbins um yeah I see the same way that I think the Browns identity on offense has completely changed they are dealing with some uh injuries on the offensive line something to monitor but yeah even if he is himself I don't think we're getting 20 carries I think they're going to keep this thing a rotation pass the ball a ton and he's not used very often in the past game so he goes like five rounds there there's 150 overall I'm willing to put him at the end of my bench and see what happens but I don't think he's gonna play until around Halloween I haven't heard very many Nick chub updates in in a month since he came out with that uh squatting video and it's The Season's about to start so I think the most likely scenario is he's back for Halloween in a committee and I think by that point you want to turn over your benches in redraft and find somebody that might break out a little earlier than that we've seen Chase Brown on ESPN or these other platforms be drafted as like the 111th overall player he's after Nick chub here in round nine and that is not a perfect profile we have questions about Chase Brown I would take that risk a 100 times out of a 100 over Nick chob Round 10 okay round 10 the 11th pick first tight end I think we're talking about Dalton Schultz uh he's being drafted as a tight end 11 a few different things have happened to him this year in comparison to last year where he of finish right around that tight end 10 tight end 11 Mark uh he now has competition as the third pass catcher on this team someone known as Stefon digs has come to this offense and they might feature just a little bit more three wide receiver sets two brevan Jordan has kind of been a feature player this preseason if you've been watching uh and he's a receiving first tight end and then another point they spent a fourth round pick on Kate Stover I know that they gave Dalton Schultz some money they had a ton of money to spend this offseason and he was quite good for them as a Middlefield presence and had a great connection with CJ Stroud but there's just simply more Target competition here and to me he's a boomer bus touchdown or not player at this point yeah I I see it the same way I think that he is draftable more as like a tight end two streamer type and like once the by weeks roll around we talked about oh the Texans are supposed to score 28 points this week maybe you get Dalton Schultz into the end zone there but yeah I don't think the volume's going to be there this year just there's too many other options there and this offense will be more 11 they will be more throw heavy this year than they were last year but I'm not expecting them to be top five in in those rates either they definitely want to be a little bit more balanced uh than like the elite passing offenses so I think it's a little bit harder to kind of divvy up the the volume here I think like David and joku is the number two target for the Browns and if he goes pretty similar to Dalton Schultz I think that you have to pay the premium and hope that David njoku Gets 100 to 120 targets where I think dton SCH probably be a little bit closer to 80 yeah this section of the draft with tight ends it goes Brock Bowers then Dallas Goddard then Dalton Schultz and then Pat FR mouth I want all three of those names ahead of Dalton Schultz on my teams next round 11 Trey Benson third pick here uh Round 11 it's a bit of a nose dive recently for Trey Benson and I believe it's extremely warranted um from this preseason I've come to the belief that this will not become a James Conor versus Trey Benson competition and at some point this offse on Underdog or your home leagues he was being drafted in the range that people thought he could just flipflop with James Connor in fact I think that there's a potential outcome here that if we get to Pure passing situations Michael Carter is playing ahead of Trey Benson if James Conor needs a break so I'm not out on Trey Benson he showed more explosiveness better Vision in his second preseason game they were getting him on runs that he felt a bit more natural to to me this is more of a post James Conor selection than a hey let's have the rookie come in compete and maybe towards the end of his rookie season he overtakes them and I just prefer other running back values at this point he he would be up there with like best handcuff running backs but he should not be priced as if he's going to have Standalone value even going back to his profile at Florida State super explosive but they would kind of give him like the same two or three uh Concepts usually pointed to the sideline and then he would have to cut up field and that's where you'd see a side speed uh profile never was really under Center and that's obviously a big part of the Cardinals offense here I think it was like 13 career carries under Center and then in the preseason games they've been giving him a lot more different concepts and we seen that be a little bit of a hit and miss so this team me like screams like classic rookie and he was not some complete bcow he has like bcow traits based off how big he is but he was not ever used as a bcow so expecting him to go up a a leap and then also add on more workload is probably stretching it a little too thin so I'm with you that Michael Carter uh or somebody else is going to be the passing down back and then he's basically a strict backup to James Connor and at that point like what's the difference between him Tyler aler Zack shanet even further down the list like Ray Davis um he should be priced like next to those guys and right now that's not the case yeah I never like to put a rookie on my worst picks list espe that can run like he like he can correct but this is warranted to me when you look at the other players in his range like if you want to invest in a rookie running back at this range I just go over to Jaylen Wright because to me they have somewhat similar paths to not playing time to open the season but an injury has to happen either to Raheem moer or aan to miss a game here or there and if that's the case then Jaylen Wright goes into a better rushing offense and is super explosive and will be used in ways that he's going to succeed my my favorite rookie running back in this R is just simply Blake km if something happens to kyen Williams we will be ranking Blake km as a top 10 running back and I think that he's around earlier so I it's it's tough for me to say but but but I just think like the the contingent upside of if something happens I think that Blake korm goes all the way up if something happens to James Conor I still think it's going to be like what you said where it's going to be a little bit of a committee and it's going to be on the Cardinals not the Rams and there's there are different levels to this Tai Chandler is around after we already talked about him we know chuba Huard for the first three or four games is going to dominate the workload in Carolina we've talked all summer long on Rico dat JK Dobbins again in the cheat Cod videos we bring their names up all the time leaving with one Bengals or Cowboys running back and if you really listen to the people who cover the Dallas Cowboys Rico dto has is the odds on favorite to maybe be their lead running back and you're able to get him in your home leagues in round 12 which is banana land just banana land okay speaking of round 12 we'll go to the fifth pick there and this might be dangerous but uh we're Round 12 gonna go to Jerry Judy if Jerry Judy beats me in fantasy football and it's the reason I lose so be it okay I at to that point like through four years in Denver we know he's never hit a thousand yards he's caught a total of 11 touchdowns in that span of time I would assume he's going to inherit the you know the second wide receiver spot on this team that could be in the outside in two wide receiver sets that might be in the slot once they go to three wide receiver sets we've already seen him in the slot to be honest 75% 49% 54% of his snaps in the slot over the past three seasons just big picture look at Jerry Judy I believe he's one of the more overrated route runners in the entire NFL people love how animated and kind of chaotic his movements are to create separation to me it's just all wasted movement and he doesn't actually create a bunch of space out there so I think those visuals those highlights do him a massive favor and maybe a disservice for Fantasy Football so again round 12 for a team that's going to pass more as we said uh sure I think he's gonna get some volume but I don't think he's gonna be one of those players that you lose your league because of him yeah I think there's like a chance like athletic guy and new chain new team that wants to pass the ball more than his previous stops that there's a chance that he has a little bit of bounceback appeal yeah he has been overrated I wonder if like if everyone now has that assumption that he's like really really bad I think that he's kind of somewhere in the middle he's like a fine enough receiver um I think he's going to be in the slot where he belongs they're going to have Cedric Tilman be the ex receiver Amar Cooper play flanker and then Jerry Judy will be uh the slot wide out but David and joku the reports is like they want him to be the number two target not Jerry Judy so I draft him a little bit because this wide receiver range around around here not my favorite some there's some other names I think that are better like again ad I Mitchell's going around later I would rather take a risk on the rookie than I would on Jerry Judy and then just to right around him rank these four okay rank these four okay Josh Palmer donaven Wicks Brandon Cooks Jerry Judy definitely Palmer first and then I think that cooks and Judy pretty similar we're we're not expecting crazy performances from them but the offense could just be good enough uh in terms of passing volume so I think I'd go Cooks Judy Wicks I mean if you it depends on the build with Wicks I want to draft Wicks the playing time him being on the field 24% of the snaps this preseason with the first team offense has not been my favorite stat but if I need like okay I need somebody to win me my league Wix is the best call out of the bunch um I think Palmer provides the most like straightforward fantasy points though Round 13 okay we'll close with the wide receiver in round 13 that is Adam thielen the fourth pick of 13th round uh all of his production was in like the first six games of last year if you really go back and look at it that's when he was force-fed targets and catches and touchdowns because no one including the play caller had no idea what they're doing last year uh and then over the final seven games he was the wide receiver 47 I mean he he is the prime example of over 30 good start the season and he gets slow and declines and injuries build up and he can't move out there and he runs in quicksand and molasses combined um that's just not a player I want to be drafting here in round 13 and if you're willing to I would rather take an upside shot on some of those big play running backs like Jaylen Wright like Jillian mlin or big play wide receivers and Darnell money and AD I Mitchell or even he's going the same round as Gabe Davis in your home drafts yeah I'd rather go with Gabe Davis because we know who he is he's gonna be out there in two wide receiver set for the Jacksonville Jaguars then take a stab here with Adam thei I'd rather take Xavier Legette and see what happens in terms of upside scenarios uh pretty much the same range as well here yeah I I'm not sure if any if Adam Fel made anybody's favorite players to draft list uh I'm actually shocked that his ADP has been where it is I would you rather have Demarcus Robinson over Thelen hell yeah right yes I would yeah I definitely would yeah you would okay round 14 any kicker you might be drafting in this range and we'll throw in defenses too but Hayden you look at Round 14 these adps over on four for four and all that I see is five defenses in this round four in the next round we get kickers coming up here too let's not forget if you go from kicker two to 16 last year the difference is 1.4 points per week okay if you go with defenses anywhere from 1 to 12th that is 2.5 points per game and we know that those are spikes in many instances unless you get the nuts and get that one defense that is matchup proof right do yourself a favor and just draft players that might have touchdown upside draft players that could be with you and be the ones that end the season on the high rather than be the first or second or third or fourth even third fourth or fifth is the worst in your league to draft defenses and kickers in this range I I'll give you the defenses don't draft defenses because we want to use my sick charts every single week where I go over the matchups um but I I do need a name from you because this this is a report card season and and I need a name is is it jayen pul is it Marshon Lloyd I need a official name for you are too too best ball focused at this point when you don't realize that people actually legitimately take I understand it's good advice but we need a name here we got to pull a name out of the Hat Hunter Henry I thought you like him no Hunter Henry is who I would draft instead of these I don't have to pick a name there's more defenses than there are actually players being selected in this round this is weak this officially we no there are more defenses than actual players being selected in this round then this brings me to round 15 okay I don't think people are diving into enough who is getting Round 15 absolutely zero Buzz or negative buzz in training camp because a lot of players being drafted in this range are just total of voids based on Camp Buzz kendre Miller is being drafted in round 14 right now they don't even want him on the team Dennis Allen's like I've never seen him he doesn't exist so yeah fantasy players are more willing to draft kendre Miller than the New Orleans Saints would want to draft kre Miller right now you know there's other ones too pop Douglas what have you heard about pop Douglas so far this offseason right Marvin Mims Marvin Mims is like fifth on the depth chart at this moment because Shawn Payton's fetish is now massive wide receivers that are six foot2 and 220 plus pounds and there's W Del Robinson like talk about pop gun wide receivers what is w Del Robinson gonna offer you in this round so like again think about it don't just take a player that you might have heard about or picked up on waivers previously these guys get zero or bad Buzz at this moment just be aware of what the camp Buzz is doing to some of these guys and avoid them okay you listened to some names I I'll give you a pass there I was I was ready to leave the show uh early but you threw out some names so so I'm here that was that was nice it's insane to me that again Ray Davis is going after this kamani Vidal is going after this these stabs are so much better to take than your kendre miller in round 14 then your pop Douglas then there's a million of them there's a million of them I I just I don't get it but these are why home leagues exist yeah this is why I wanted you to pick a name in round 14 as well there's so many absolute what name would you pick in round 14 the the round 14 names are kendre Miller Derek Carr pop Douglas will Levis Xavier Legette Jaylen pulk and Isaiah likeley I all all of them except Legette every single one of them in do you say Stafford I I would draft Stafford but the rest of them all on my 14 list ah Stafford's going in round 11 in home leagues how dare you he's going ahead of deshun Watson in home leagues and Juno Smith in home leagues all right if you want to pick up the rankings
