brought down all right guys here's our first at this offense today and here comes the quarterback and one thing you know for sure with this team as he goes so goes the offense and he's a big time Talent Reese this guy can hurt you in a multitude of ways throwing and running the football he's going to have to be dialed in though because this defense is going to give him a lot of different looks it's really important mentally this QB is on his game and good coverage by the defense just a short gain a nice job by the defense there tackling the catch and smothering the and they know this offense is going to try to find him in the passing game in a lot of different situations that time perfect coverage and nice job bringing the big guy down not easy to do offense gets set for second down he leaves it with his back gets it to the 46 yd line first down for this offense all right defense that's that's what we can't do we can't give up this many chunk yards yards on the ground got to commit more guys to the line of scrimmage got to get those running backs on the ground that's way too easy the offense setting up shop at the 46 first and [Applause] 10 might as well run him until they stop him he's got it again still running at the 40 he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense and already this guy is leaving his on this game opening drive backto back runs where he's found a way to get positive yards he was able to pick up the First on that last carry they should keep feeding him the football the more success they have it's going to open up the Play action [Applause] game from the gun the ground game not a whole lot of room there three yards maybe second and seven all right well the offense here they're trying to get this run game established they obviously don't break off a long run there but they're just trying to find their footing at this point got three on first down it's second and seven the give to the back he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple how about the defender being a heat seeking missile he was on radar lock he found the football and flew down intentions coming to the line of scrimmage at the 30 it would be a long field goal but they'd love to pick up a few here on Third and long that was almost picked off and what a disaster that would have been to throw a pick on the opening drive instead it's Fourth Down nice job by the defense they're mixing up their look they're third and long in field goal range they go Zone coverage so everybody on the back end has the eye on the quarterback and they're able to break on the ball in completion so now on comes the field goal unit he's got it showing off that big leg from 47 y out I'll tell you this is not an easy place to play on the road especially at night time this crowd they get loud that's the way it's been so far but they have a nice drive to open it up they're able to execute they put themselves in field goal range knock it through the ights they did exactly what they needed to do taking a 3 nothing lead here early on the road that's impressive they were able to get a field goal on the board and now they'll kick it away he'll bring it out it's horn not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 so the Colorado buffal offense has the ball for the first time as we take a look at our impact players for this one what are you looking for Jesse for a guy to make an impact well these are simply put the leaders of this football team and generally games go how these guys play if they make plays they've got a shot to win this no doubt they got to show up these are the team leaders these guys have to play well if they're going to win the football and that is just an attitude run running it right up the middle right into the teeth of that defense the Buffalo moving quickly to the line off play action on first down fires to the wide out wide open down field he's Roose and he Motors into the end zone touch down buffal this offense is high octane boy you not a lot of time needed for them to go all the way and score six well done [Applause] on to attempt the try and the extra point is good and it's a fourpoint lead aggressive play calling on that drive just two plays they get the long touchdown pass to pay it off the kickoff team takes the field to boot this one away and he takes this from inside the five and the Return Man is stopped and that'll leave it up to the offense on the next drive all right guys so here's the offense back on the field again they'll start this drive with a pass quickly complete and they'll finally get him down after a terrific pickup the defense needs to have a plan for thisy they weren't ready for that one drag route running all the way across the field and the DB just can't stay with them because of his speed and as a result they give up a big one it's first down from back at their own 24 yd line they'll keep it on the ground not a lot of room but found his way ahead for two out to the 26 and those physical runs take a toll it might not be a big game now but down the road third four late in the ball games they tend to turn into bigger runs picked up two yard on that last one they need eight on second [Applause] down right back to the well good solid run on that one as he gets it up to the 33 yd line and runs like that are like body blows and a boxing match four five six yd gains early turn into 20 30 40 yd gains later they really wear down defenses and they test their physicality will they keep it on the ground again here on third down they'll try to power their way ahead they were all over him nowhere to go as that third down play turned into a disaster yeah I think the running back kind of went rogue on that last running play I'm not sure it was designed to go that direction he tried to make it happen on his own and unfortunately ended up losing yards fourth down and the punt team sends it the other way here's the fair Catch and he'll make it close to the 20 yd line Colorado has the ball back and the Buffalo hoping to put their team in Prime position on offense hands it off now after that run there in pretty good shape at the 30 yd line well it's plays like that that'll help this offense stay in Rhythm all game long if you can have that kind of success on first down running the football it just opens up your entire Playbook moving forward and the buffalos come to the line in the hurry up quarterback on the keeper to the 43 yd line and a first down for this offense well this is one of the fastest quarterbacks in college football and that's why the option's a good idea because if he can get out in space has a chance to get down field he is really difficult to tackle and he's very difficult to catch as you saw in that last play getting a first down they move the tight end all over leaves it with the back they'll rip off eight on that play it's second and two coaches always harp about staying ahead of the chains and when you could run with that type of efficiency on first down man you are doing just that got eight on first down now looking at a second and two got him looking run he wants to throw fires one high and deep hits him in St inside the T and he'll take it in and house it tdch down Colorado well I'm not sure who was closer to the receiver there the defensive backs or us here in the booth that was great execution on offense receiver wins the route oneon-one shows off his speed gets himself wide open there was no question where quarter going nice job they'll try to add another to their lead and with the extra point they pushed the lead out a little further quick work on that scoring drive just four plays and they finish the drive with a touchdown toss from the 49 kickoff team lining up to send this one away he'll bring it out rolling the dice to bring it out of the end zone did not work out as he stopped at the 13 a first down for the offense he Wast no time and comes out throwing got him down field a little more space open up that Playbook even more as they pick up the first down out to the 30 he Unleashed that one some serious spines some revolutions on that one you want to talk about velocity how about the arm Talent this kid has I love watching him throw these curl routes he's in Rhythm he takes his steps and man when he decides to pull the trigger watch out from the gun they'll try to impose their running game and he's swallowed up at the line of scrimmage by the big defensive tackle stopping the run is about physicality it's about I'm than you I'm stronger than you up front really nice job by the defense showing their strength Bo up stuffing their own they got nothing on the last play it's second and 10 from the gun leaves it on the inside with the back and the defense holds firm no pick up at all on that play that back had absolutely nowhere to run the football actually is he counting I think he's counting to make sure there's only 11 guys on defense didn't find a single to run through on the last two plays let's see if they go up top on Third and 10 throws to the wide out he's got it and he gets it done on third down they move the chains and they'll mark it at the 44 well look that wasn't a touchdown but that was a massive play for this offense they needed some momentum they needed to find a rhythm in what better way than converting on third down awesome job by the quarterback getting through his progression to the air on first down finds his tight end and that defense doesn't allow a cut back and they get him out of bounds after a short game must be nice for this quarterback knowing he's got this type of athlete playing the tight end position that can work the middle of the field form he's a guy who can stretch it vertically as well but this is a guy the QB will look for early and often in this [Applause] game wants to fire on second down makes it connection all down at the 39 yd line but he's got 15 yd on the play and a fresh set of downs and because the receiver was able to drive back to the QB on that curl route against man coverage he was able to create a little bit of separation between him and the defender and that was a big key in getting that first down off the play fake on first down going to throw it over the top of the KN and it slips through his fingers incomplete that would have been a huge game if he could have held on and the offense clearly saying we want to take those deep shots we want to be aggressive and and I think that's a good strategy because makes the defense really honor what you're going to do and just missed a little bit but I wouldn't be surprised if this offense finds a way to come back to some little deep B pick up of five it'll be third down and five I like this guy as a running back because he can run between the tackles and he can go outside he can really do it all eight play of the drive and to keep this one going they'll need to convert a third and five from the gun wants to pass fires to the middle pass is incomplete but a lot of contact there I think it's going to be pass interference and a first down and the defender just way too hand on that last play you could see all the contact as the ball was in the air you simply can't do it and the referee's caught trying to find his man on first down he'll take a shot and he's got it in the end zone you know sometimes as a play caller you just don't have to overthink things I've got a guy who's faster than your guys and he's just going to run straight down the field I'm going to throw it way down the field he's going to make the catch and we're going to score a touchdown and that's Prett much what just happened there getting set for the point after and with the extra point they cut the lead to 14 10 76 yd on the drive for the touchdown and they finish things up with a dart from 24 ydd out almost ready to kick it away after scoring the [Applause] touchdown here he comes with return he was looking for more Running Room but none to be found as he stopped at the 23 and the Colorado offense is coming back onto the field from the gun give on the inside at the 35 he's open got a lot of Running Room the 20 he's at the 10 touchdown bucks and once he found open space the might as well start playing man this guy is such a weapon because he's so dangerous if he gets into the second level great vision shows speed just straight Wheels erasing angles a lot of chasing guys that are so fast like this you're like I got him I got him no I do not what a big long touchdown run pad those stats young fell lining up Attack One More onto that lead the kick is up and good and put one more on the lead what a way to send a message huge play in the running game one snap and You' got a touchdown on the board they lining up to boot it away here he comes from inside his own five any crease in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the 17 they'll get this drive going from the 17 out of the gun the running back has it able to pick up a couple before he's dragged down at the 19 and that's what you're trying to do as a defense limit those damages when they run the football get them on the ground short gains to set your defense for positive situations down the road after picking up a couple at second and [Applause] eight looking for a physical attack from the gun tried to move that pile forward he maybe gets two he's down at the 21 they flow ahead with the run but still more ground needed to pick up the first down third down coming from the gun wants to pass and he just throws it away that is not what you're looking for on third down fourth down coming up offenses know and work on it all week third Downs third downs we got to be really really good this offense not good on this third down it could come back to bite him they bring the punter onto the field now he'll go back to work and pun it away for the second time he'll settle for some pretty good field position and make the fair catch at around the 35 Colorado has the ball back and the Buffalo hoping to put their team in Prime position on offense RPO complete to open the drive and they pick up just a few on that completion quarterbacks love the short passing game early in games because it really helps them get into a rhy so nice job by the offensive coordinator giving his quarterback an easy throw something can and something that he knows he can and the buffal are in the hurry up the give to the back that's what you expect from a senior don't give them any extra yards great tackle there third and short from the 44 and we might know if they to go for it on fourth down by what they call here trying to pick it up on the ground oh what a caught really putting together a threat now they get the first it's at the 37 another good run man he has been picking up yards in bunches today Jesse showing off all the skills and he's showing no signs of slowing down D but this guy just gets better as the game goes on he is a beast the buffal have it with a first and 10 they're trying to slow that Rush down with the draw just what this off was looking for sets him up at the 26 with the first down there's really no secret to it David when this guy's running well this offense is so hard to stop it opens up everything and he's having a great day showing you a little bit of everything and this offense has got it rolling on the ground and the buffal look to keep this drive humming he'll keep it himself passes sticks him still on his feet The Tackle is made but he's got it first and goal from the well the design QB run is now a staple play in college football and it's because they get more blockers involved and when you got athletes like this playing the quarterback position it's a noer just let him go do work you saw on that play and the Buffalo trying to cash it in first and [Applause] goal they've got him looking run now they're going to throw it and they get to the quarterback and knock him down back at the 16 just like to see the quarterback have a clock going off in his head forcing him to get rid of that football can't take a sack on first down in gold too situation and move your offense backwards defense rose up deep in its own end on that last play now a second and long coming they'll run it up the middle here looking for a path to the end zone they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one defense becomes even more heightened in this are the field you get the short yard situations the goal of go situations that got to be dialed in that's two big stops in a row by this defense forcing a third and goal putting some pressure now on this offense on Third and long he'll need to loosen up that arm and makes the grab in the end zone TCH down buffal you know quarterbacks and receivers they Dev confidence and chemistry as the game goes on these two right now are definitely on the same page and let's hold on just a minute here as the officials are going to have a second look and they take another look at the play but the officials on the field were right and the play will stand and the extra point sails through for a 2810 lead so it's a 73 yd touchdown drive and the score comes on a 17 yd throw for the touchdown the kickoff team on the field as they'll send this one [Applause] away and no chance at a return here they'll start this drive at their own 25 first down here for the offense out of the gun the give to the back got room at the 35 that's a kind of play that can really get you going as they have a first down at the 43 this is an offense that really sees their identity as being able to run the football nice job there picking up the first down after a big Gainer on that first play now they can really go for it first and 10 right back to the well they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one we have the early makings of a quarterback duel as these stats will show you now the challenge here they've taken a punch but they can't let it get out of hand as we start the second on second down looking to throw that's caught it's Williamson really confident throw and catch there big pick up and they have a first down one of the things that makes this guy so dangerous is how good he is after the catch if he's got any space around him he's able to burst he's able to make people miss and get extra yards for his offense you saw it right there the offense has it first and 10 from the 42 power football with the Run not much working there it'll be second and nine I like feeding my guy I like getting my running back touches feeding the ball so he can break some of those big runs but I'm also okay with these little ones set the tone stay balanced didn't get much on first down it's second and nine a little pre- snap eye candy for the defense on second down just keeps firing fires to the big fella cross the 30 Got Away nice pitch and catch there and they'll have enough for the first down well I know the tight end did some good things after the catch but got to give the quarterback credit to for the location of the throw because he put it out in front of his big man he was able to make the catch and creating some distance there between him and the defense they've got it first and 10 from the 25 he's going to pass he just got rid of that one to save the down didn't see anything he [Applause] liked after the incompletion looking at second down wide receiver coming across in motion he's going to pass on second down he got the toe down that's going to look spectacular on his social media but not so much for the down in distance after he loses yardage seventh play of the drive coming up but a long way to go on third down looking to throw and he needs a chunk play fires toward the end zone and that ball was In Harm's Way and he is lucky to get that one back I tell you what I don't know if the offense was expecting man coverage that time third and long in field goal range you're expecting it to be Zone instead they lock them up manto man everybody on an island everybody won they get the incompletion Now setting up fourth and for the second time tonight they tried out the field goal [Applause] kicker he got it [Music] after that last field goal Drive they're set to kick it away on the move from inside is five he was hoping for something a little more Dynamic that they' get him on the ground at the 20 and the offense is coming back onto the field going to the running game and knock him down after a gain of three to the 23 that's a really nice play it's impressive once it's first down and the defense thinks you might be running the football you still can line up you can get some movement at the point of attack and find a little crease for your running back the buffalos want to crank the tempo leaves it with the back finds his way ahead for five and now they've got it at the 28 when you're a defense it is stop the run first that is your first responsibility it makes the whole game easy and right now they got it going on the ground the defense is going to have to change something up these little tiny Dink and dunk Dink and dunk you keep doing this they'll go all the way down the field on you so you might want to get a little bit more aggressive wide receiver now comes in motion they'll try to drive ahead on Third and short and Buffalo is getting up for the first down and I just love when guys know exactly where the sticks are you could tell ran with purpose finished through the sticks and got just enough for the first down and a nice job up front too right good communication everybody knew where they had to go hat on a hat work the double teams and get some push looking for space it's Hayden got behind those pads and picked up three out to the 35 yeah the running back didn't get much here but you know you clearly want to always establish the tempo run the football be consistent make that defense physically meet the challenge after the three- yd pickup they come to the line Second and seven they'll run it out of the shotgun drag down to the turf but not before getting the first down I know this is an that has a ton of Pride they want to come out each and every game and really impose their will on the D line they got just enough push there on that run play to pick up the first and the buffal are on the move to the air it's Sanders sends it down fi and it falls in complete but it could have been much much worse as a defend was right there well if at first you succeed try try again they've already linked up twice for touchdown passes so no question the quarterback here still in the first half looking for his go-to guy but you got to give the defense credit there they were expecting it they were able to make sure that one fell incomplete he'll try it again on second and 10 caught at the 25 and the defense couldn't Coral him and he took it all the way touchdown Colorado of the Reas this offense is so exciting to watch they've got guys that are dangerous after the catch if this quarterback gets through his progression David he HS you in stride these guys will take it to the house man it's your job to do the rest right you hit me in stride where I don't have to stop running I don't have to break down it makes it so easy the connection between quarterback wide receiver you can tell this is a good one and that's why they got six on that play now they'll line up for what they hope is automatic and the extra point will tack another one onto this lead and they close the deal with a 58 yd touchdown pass the kickoff unit about to go to [Applause] work he'll bring it back from inside is five good job by the coverage unit to stop the Return Man the offense set for a first down play out of the shotgun they go to the ground not a lot of room there give him a couple to the 16 that's a really good job by the defense wrapping them up getting them on the ground take away that run game make them onedimensional put him in passing situations really good job by the defense picked up two yards on that last one they need eight on second down they'll go right back to him on the it's a and he almost ran away from everybody on that one a huge pick up on that play I bet that running back's eyes got so big when he gets that hand off going to the right and he sees the huge holes yes please the defense just didn't flow quickly enough all of the blockers had leverage on their and that defensive line has to get off the ball a little bit better get some penetration to stop that outside run you get a play like that and you feel like you can go in and finish the deal it'll be first and 10 from just inside the 50 the give to the tail back that play just never had a chance a knock him down for a loss of five and defense nowadays they don't look at stats as the yards per rush they look at how many negative plays they can create cuz why now you look at second down man it just became very predictable for this offense nice job creating the loss on first [Applause] down just when they're looking run now up top and they got him he'll get him down for the sack this defense they are tenacious and they've got guys up front that are athletic and that are so strong and can the pocket you saw it right there in that play action and whatever they did on first and second down don't do that anymore third and very long coming up he's looking down field to throw PS one deep down the left side and he's got it inside the T PS it in and takes it in for a touchdown the number one rule for any offense gentlemen protect your quarterback when you do good things happen the number one rule for a defense is to affect the quarterback or bad things happen to you didn't affect the quarterback too much time too clean you're supposed to frazzle you're supposed to find a way to make them feel uncomfortable so they don't have time so they Rush their thought process that wasn't it they'll try to tack one more on their score five and he be brought down after a solid effort on that return Colorado has the ball back and the Buffalo hoping to put their team in Prime position on offense takes his shot nice defensive play to get a hand in there and knock it away well I know that one fell incomplete but what a day this guy has had thrown the football multiple touchdowns and he's done a really nice job with his decision making hasn't thrown any picks which has really helped keep this offense on schedule here they come to try it again on second 10 from the 29 now the play fake unloads to the white out all kinds of room to throw that one in there and he was loose and out the gate and doesn't go down until he gets to the 48 yd line the buffal racing to the line in the hurry up the offense showing motion from the tight end trying to get a read on the D we'll give him a couple on that one second and eight coming up and offenses want to continue to feature the Run they want balance even if it's not super successful you can take it little bit at a time just to keep that defense honest aftering up a couple it's second and eight the lone backs got it and he has a solid gain before the defense bottles him up I know that wasn't a big huge play and everybody's not excited the fans aren't going crazy but those are the plays that in the fourth quarter matter a lot again making you tackle my back making you feel the physicality of the football game throughout so you get tired and get worn down in the fourth qu wants to throw it's Sanders getting some heat always a welcome play for the defense as they get a sack at the 47 this defense needed something to go right man they're down big already in the first half get to the quarterback get them on the ground this could start some momentum going back the other direction and the buffal will send out the punt unit first punt of the day and he love to lock him up close to their goal line make sure that there's not going to be a return on this one balls out of bounds and I think they'll mark it right around the 25 motion from the offense they're going to throw it to start the drive lost one deep down the right side and it's caught inside the 20 he's got the sidelines going NS as he gets it down to the 18 yd line and how about the big strike down the field I love when offenses take shots down the field try to make big plays now they're set up in the Red Zone the entire complexion of this possession changed on that one play now they've got it first and 10 inside the 20 [Applause] from the shotgun the inside K and that last carry puts him right at 100 yard for the game and he's just been so patient he's following his blocks letting it all develop in front of it and then bursting through and they were only in the first half picked up two yards on that last one they need eight on second down he's looking to throw unleashes to the end zone makes the catch and gets the score wow what a play we got we're going to need to see that again to make sure he makes this catch and gets the foot in bounds that was a great acrobatic play understanding where you're at on the field to make that big catch ready to try the point after and the P will draw them one point closer quick strike offense on that three playay scoring drive and they close the deal with a 16 yd throw for the touchdown the kickoff team out there and ready to [Applause] go on the run from inside his own five nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 and the Colorado offense is coming back onto the field here's another opportunity Jesse to stretch out this lead after punting last time I think it goes back to your Playmakers reys I think it's finding the guys that have been working for you ear on in this game and getting them the football yeah and there's obviously no need to panic I mean think about it you got the lead you got the football you got to be smart with the football make your plays put a good drive together here and the buffal want to pick up the tempo he'll pull it on the read nowhere to run on that one he loses four on the car nice job playing assignment football by that defensive end knowing what my job is not letting that quarterback get out get loose making a good play and most importantly being there in the right spot and getting him on the ground couldn't get him blocked on that last one now it's second and 14 hand off to the single running back picks his way and gets four out to the 27 looks as if we have an injury on that last play and we'll take a break to check him out third down always a huge stat and they've got a third and long from the 27 back to pass it's Sanders time to take a shot oh he gets down field for the big catch oh look out there he goes touchdown box he broke away from the defense and they couldn't catch him this guy is officially a problem his second receiving touchdown of the game nice job by the offense dud if I've got a match up I like continue to pick at it until they stop [Applause] it the unit on the field and with the extra point they push the lead out a little further quick work on that scoring drive just four plays they finish things off with some a 73 yd touchdown pass kickoff team has the ball teed up and they're about ready to go and he takes this from inside the five didn't find any crease in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the 17 guys this offense will go back on the attack [Applause] out of the gun they'll run it inside picks his way ahead pick up of three and gets it to the 20 yd line and the running back didn't get much there nice job by the defense you can tell they're focused in on this running back on this run game being physical getting knockbacks and limiting his carries got three on first down it's second and seven he's looking to throw fires toward the target he's got an open man ripped off a huge chunk play on that one as he gets the first down before he steps out of bounds I know it's early in the game but defensively after that play you know you have to tackle the catch when this guy gets the ball in his hands he is so dangerous after the fact so it's okay for him to make catches just got to get him to the ground quickly they don't seem interested in inching the ball down the field that big play sets him up first and 10 from the [Applause] 36 the run from the shotgun and he could not get loose on the run and just a great job by the defense being Stout right that's your job be Stout up front Stu in the Run play make them get in more passing situations but do not let them run the football that's 101 stop the run first got stuffed on first down it's second and 10 give to the running back little too soft in that run defense he picks up four to the 32 and as an offense having success on a run play like that early in the game just opens up all the possibilities of your playbook moving forward play action the ball throwing the ball screens anything is at your disposal at this point trying to move the sticks on third down through the air he can't make the catch had it right in his hands and it'll be fourth down yeah and third and short that choose not to run throw the football and I think a lot of that has to do with they know they're in field goal range they can take the three points on the board and this field goal team has been busy this kicker comes out for the Third time tonight and they weren't able to get him in the middle of the field so now a 49 y from the right hatch oh and he missed it no good guys you want every little bit you can get and they got nothing there 15 game Colorado has the back and the buffal hoping to put their team in Prime position on offense and David how they would love to stick it in the end zone one more time after that last drive and once you get the defense on their heels and you back them off a little bit you get in a little bit of Rhythm it's really hard to stop Jesse and they're going to try to do it again right here and if you're this play caller you're loving what's happening right now because everything you dialed up on that last Drive ended up working out you're just looking at your play sheet everything you're picking is working let's see they can pull it off again here here comes the offense on second down back to throw it's Sanders zings it complete to the right gets away from one he's got space and he was loose and in the open field and on his way a tremendous pick up on that one man this quarterback is having first half he's over 200 yard already heating up setting up this dude might break his career high in passing I don't know what it is somebody get stats for the offense setting up shop at the 46 first and 10 he's looking to throw it fires to the wide out got it in the middle it's Hunter and they'll finally bring him down after he rips off a huge play yeah and you see some quarterbacks who hesitate to throw the ball in the middle I love it when you attack the whole field and middle of the field and being able to throw over linebackers and between safeties is a big skill but show that defense you're you will attack everywhere the buffal have it with the first and 10 from the Red Zone he's going to throw it and it's caught buffal how about the day for this young fell three receiving touchdowns hey defense that guy's good we might want to do something about let's send two at him let's send three at him we can't let this guy continue to beat us time and time again he'll try to tack on one more the kick is up and good and put one more on the lead quick work on that scoring drive just four plays and they close the deal with a 20yd pass for Six about to kick it away after scoring the touchdown [Applause] here he comes from inside his own five just never had a chance to shake loose and he'll be brought down at the 24 and the offense heads out onto the field to get the drive started they'll throw it on first down fires to the tight end and just a short safe pass play they pick up a few I like this tight end he does a really nice job on his route running been man coverage he can find the soft spots and zones you got to get him involved right on target with that last pass now it's second and medium he's looking to throw almost intercepted it'll fall incomplete the defense almost came up with a turnover and that's why these guys play defense that were an offensive player receiver that would have easily have been a catch come on man you got to catch that and make that ack Ball's at the 27 this offense facing a third and long from the gun wants to pass looking to take a shot and they can't hook up on the big play and that brings up a fourth down oh that's one of those where you're breathing a big sigh of relief that ball could have been intercepted and worse could have been intercepted and housed but offense caught a little bit of a break nice play by the defense but the off glad to punt in this situation if they want to punt so no dice on third down and they'll punt it away on Fourth he'll be content with the field position making the fair catch right around the 30 yd line and the Colorado offense is coming back onto the field scanning the field it's Sanders the quick out quick timeout called by the offense after the play this is a very tough slot receiver to cover if you're a line because of how quick and how Shifty he is you never seem to know which way he's going and he always seems to create an open space for his QB going up top and the ball is picked [Applause] off and they'll drag him down after a good return on the interception a veteran in this defense stayed locked in on his rules and made the interception and defensive backs you think don't have good hands the fell shows it how about that defensive back going up and getting the interception nice job breaking on the football you say that's why you play defense cuz you don't have hands I line gets set first down he wants to start this drive with a pass he lets one fly deep pass incomplete the clock is down to nine well at this juncture in the game with how the scoreboard looks no question this offense is going to have to throw to get back in the game and it's going to be tricky now because the defense is expecting it you're going to throw into a lot of big Zone coverages with everybody's eyes on the quarterback not going to be easy misfired on the last play they'll go back to the air this one's complete we've got a timeout in the waning seconds of the half maybe a chance to get off a couple more plays just enough time for one final play of the half wants to throw on first down deep shot for the End [Applause] Zone incomplete he took a shot on the final play of the quarter and couldn't quite find his man that's the end of the second quarter that means it's time to join Kevin in our halftime update phas yman work so far today in Boulder and welcome in to the halime update the passing game for both sides has been outstanding on point unrelenting they've excelled in the short game the intermediate game and especially on the Deep ball all in all a thrilling display of offensive Firepower and these defenses have a lot to discuss here at half time with that said let's send it back to the fellas at fome field kickoff and kickoff return teams on the field and we are just about ready to go in the second half on the move from inside is five nice job executing all of the assignments as they put a stop to that return at the 22 Colorado has the ball back and the Buffalo hoping to put their team in Prime position on offense maybe picked up a couple he's down at the 24 man that D tackle is a freak athlete did you see him come out of his stance and beat the offensive lineman getting to the running back catlike quickness after picking up a couple it's second and eight looking to throw it's Sanders fires to the right and this senior quarterback a little too bold there he didn't get picked off throwing into double coverage oh man the quarterback almost just threw his second interception on his many drives he's trying to fit that football in there it gets tipped up in the air he's lucky that wasn't picked off after the second down misfire looking at a third and eight from the gun wants to pass catch in the middle it's h building momentum picking up a chunk of yardage moving the chains out to the 34 these two guys just on the same wavelength they make clutch connections all the time and that's practice man that's all summer that's all spring just so many hundreds and hundreds and thousands of balls where you know exactly when that guy's going to break you know he's a stud you're going to feed him especially on these third down situations didn't get much on that run he'll fight his way out and maybe maybe pick up a yard maybe that stop shows this defense is tightening up especially the Run game the offense frankly they've been able to do whatever they want to do they just handed the ball off this guy's having success left and right no sir no Moss get it together they go to the ground breaks the tackle just sort of a Relentless run getting everything that was available to him and they'll Mark him down at the 40 well this offense came into the game knowing they wanted to be physical they wanted to establish the line of scrimmage and they're running downhill right at this defense and they're positive yardage early now staring at a third and short from the 40 from the gun wants to pass they're trying to get to it and the quarterback is snowed under that's the way you answer your halftime speech you gave up a lot of points in that first half what did the defense do the first possession you set the tone in the second half get the big stop get the big sack really nice answer by this defense and the buffal decide to pun it away this will be the second time they've had to kick it away and he'll work his way on the return out to the 35 yd line before he stopped on first down here comes this offense quick pass on the Fly motion and I think they'll give him two on that one second and eight coming up and these little touch passes man they're just the easiest completions ever for quarterbacks Palmer I bet you would have loved being able to just Flip It Forward that counts as to your completion percentage which is good and then it's all run after the catch so pretty easy for a QB you wouldn't have been the only All-American in this booth David if I were allowed to put have Push passes when I was playing quarterback I'll tell you that it is so hard to defend it's so hard that edge especially when this guy's Full Speed Ahead coming around the outside and the defense able to drag him down but not before they'll recycle that down marker and a great job by the QB finding the running back getting the football where he can do some damage after the catch and most importantly get the first down the offense will put it in play from the 47 on First and 10 from the gun they'll give it on the inside able to pick his way forward for a decent game before the defense gets him down hey five to six yards a pop I don't know if you guys are really good at math but that usually equals a first down every couple carries so don't forget about the Run game keep them honest pound that rock halfway there on first down it's second and five takes a hand off and he's going right they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one I love this linebacker because he's able to what's happening in front of him and he reacts downhill uses his speed to get to the line of scrimmage and create the negative play third down and this off is already in a world of trouble they could really use the conversion not to mention multiple scores from the gun wants to pass finds his big tight end and he was just a couple of steps away from taking that one even further after the catch from the 33 it's first and [Applause] 10 he wants to throw quickly out to the tight end powerful running as he trucks his way to the 28 I don't think he was the primary reer on that play David but a very productive pick up on first down and these tight ends are so good at understanding zones and where to sit down and listen it's not the huge game down the field but it's always Death By A Thousand Cuts small gains break tackles and continue to move the sticks and he just threw that one away safe move didn't see anything Live to play another play third and short from the 28 let's see if this is four down territory or if they just pick up the first here fast motion from the offense throws toward the end zone and trying to put points on the board on third down now they're staring at Fourth Down third and short in college football today you see so much more pass than you used to the offense stays aggressive I think they stay aggressive because they know they're in field goal range they got that three in their back pocket and on fourth down they'll try to put three on the board and he's got to find the right combination of distance and accuracy from the right hash and 45 y out tried to give it enough Body English but he missed it that can be really demoralizing guys there's something about getting the deficit under they couldn't it's still at 22 and the Colorado offense is coming back onto the field they missed an opportunity to extend this lead the last time they had it Jesse yeah they got to be able to regain that momentum right go back to what was working earlier on in this one and David to me that starts with being the more physical team oh I definitely agree being the more physical team but understanding the situation of the game you're still winning you got the football back now put a nice drive together together and execute didn't get much on first down it's second and nine he'll do it himself they'll give him a couple that leaves him with third and eight well the QB decided to keep it on that one and listen if you had his athleticism you'd want to keep it too almost every time they run these types of option plays but he's just GNA have to do a good job of understanding when to hand it off when to pitch it and try to keep this defense on their heels and read his keys he's got a lot of talent just got to make sure he's making the right decisions moving forward that's reeled in it's h a quick tackle made but he's got plenty for the first down we asked earlier this week who's your favorite receiver and of course he said the open one but we know who he really wants to go to on third down the best one I mean I think the open one obviously the politically correct answer but you want to find the guy that you got that great chemistry with you know exactly where he's going to be you got that Bond and that trust put it right on him sweet play good pick up and they'll move the chain with the first down get you some of that and with that completion now he's over 400 yard on the day that's a really really good game for this quarterback he's been almost Flawless and the buffal are moving quickly down the field on the run it's Hayden really nice stop there from this senior leader small gain I know but again the defense knows he's going to run the football he's willing to run the football not just drop back and pass make him honor the Run game you got to do a lot of this after the three yd pick up they come to the line Second and seven from the gun the G looking for room and they'll stop him after a minimal pick up after the strong run on second down third down coming do they do it again back to throw it's Sanders got his man quickly and it is well blocked as they pick up enough for a first down I was starting to think about what they would do if they didn't pick up the first down here but I guess that's a moot point now moot point for sure and the head coach was probably telling them four down territory we're going to kick a field goal whatever the next decision was going to be now the OC is like don't worry about it new set of downs nice execution by this offense looking to go up top on first down using the quick game he is going nowhere stop at the line of scrimmage yeah nice job by the defense that's what you're supposed to do as soon as they catch the football you want to Li yards after the catch and he went nowhere after the catch nice job by the D and here comes the offense on second down making sure they have good balance keeping it on the ground [Applause] third and long coming from the 27 yd line you can make a field goal from here just don't take a negative play looking to throw setting up the screen he's run out of bounds but not before turning in a big pick up and moving the sticks for a first down and there you go you see you don't have to throw bombs to get big plays in the passing game just screen it to your running back as soon as he catches it gets up fi and how about the downfield blocking by these linemen and the wide receivers as they rip off that explosive play one back in the back field he gets to carry able to get one down to the 15 the big defensive tackles in the middle they're not always the best pass rushers but they are strong and I say Country Strong they put their hands on you you feel it they lock people out on the line of scrimmage they create separation they wrap running backs up and usually they don't get out of the midst of those big boys looking down field it's Sanders he looks that one in nicely and the defense had that one well covered just a short game there you know the defense doesn't have an answer for this slot guy right now they may want to think about bracketing him having a Defender play to the outside and to the inside probably some sort of Zone coverage where you're trying to get two bodies forcing the quarterback to have to go somewhere else with the ball it's a draw they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one well this guy's been eating him alive all game long finally though David you wonder if the defense has been able to make some adjustments find something positive to help slow this guy down hey baby steps right that's a tackle for a loss I know he's got over a hundo on the game but this defense is definitely going to have to be more aggressive commit more guys to stopping that bad man it is perfect and now the lead is even bigger [Music] they're really starting to extend that lead as they get ready to kick it away again he'll bring it back from inside his five nice job by the kickoff team everybody stay in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 a lot of work to do as this drive will start from the 16 yd line and this will be incomplete a big hit there forces second down this defense has a lot of speed especially in the secondary and you saw that speed that Defender got to that receiver so quick and because of the hit incomplete pass after they couldn't connect it's second and 10 the RPO fire complete to the left and the defense settled in to stop that one for a short G the defense has their hands full trying to stop this guy in the slot they're going to have to figure something out to bracket him try and get two bodies around and maybe get some safety help as well cuz right now they do not have the for this now on third down after that run from the gun wants to pass just threw that one away to avoid [Applause] disaster the punt team makes it way onto the field they'll work to pin him deep on the return it's hor he's brought down but a really solid effort to pick up every bit of yardage he could on the punt return Colorado has the ball back and the buffal hoping to put their team in Prime position on offense On The Run fires down field all kinds of room to throw that one in there and play on the name of the game and they get one here before the defense finally makes the stop with the first down they'll put it in play from the 33 quarterback on the keeper they'll pick up four second and Six coming it's the emmo of this offense and they really put a lot on the offensive line to go out and really try and establish their dominance and their assertiveness and they've done a good job of that early in this game running the football kept it on the ground on first down now back to the line give to the single back dropped after a pick up of three down to the 26 Ball's at the 26 it's third and short and they' love to pick up the first down and avoid settling for the field goal going for it all and that'll be in complete they certainly weren't afraid to take a shot there and now it's Fourth Down got to give the defense credit on that play taking everything away forcing the incompletion now it's decision time fourth and short in your in field goal range what do you do here and here comes the field goal unit for the second time tonight absolutely perfect and that lead grows even bigger he keep pushing that lead out and the kickoff team's getting some [Applause] work he'll start the return inside his five and they'll get him on the ground as the offense comes out to start the next drive and now the offense will come onto the field again out of the gun the inside hand off to the running back he'll get it up to about the 32 yd line before he stopped and it'll be first down that is got to be demoralizing if you're on defense because they just ran the ball right up the middle down your throats and they gashed you and now on first down after converting with the run to the ground he's got it again and he was fortunate not to lose yardage on that play able to wedge it back to the line of scrimmage awesome job up front by this defensive line being so good at the point of attack and eating blocks eating some double teams that allows these linebackers to run free unencumbered and get to the football they got nothing on the last play it's second and 10 leaves it with the running back not a lot of daylight he gets one to the 32 they're strong and they're scra defensive tackles they're WR there's such big jokers in the Middle where they just lock out those offensive linemen and running backs listen they don't have much of a chance when you got that 300 plus pound guy grabbing you around the shoulder pad you tend to go to the ground pretty quickly throws to the Wi out can't make the play on the interception and man they were looking for their first pick of the game instead it'll be fourth down the offense gets pretty lucky there third down in your own end you're throwing to try to get the first that ball just a little bit late and as a result they're lucky that wasn't a pick six and here comes the punt team they've been busy out there to punt for the fifth time today not going to risk a return here he'll make the fair Catch and the Colorado offense is coming back onto the field they've got the lead here last time they settled for a field goal but David got to find that balance between being aggressive and careful and I think they'll take that I got the lead Palmer I got the football I got to take care of the football put a nice drive together and just get some kind of points on this drive no doubt lots to be happy about right now if you're this team I think for this one though on this drive it's about finding the one-on-one matchups that are in your favor and then exploiting them looking to pass it's Sanders shoots it to the left he makes a catch that's enough for the first down but not sure they'll get another playoff here in the third quarter we've treated to an aerial show by these two guys so far as you check out their numbers so will the beat down continue or is this a comeback for the ages in store we'll see as we start the fourth running to the left and this one will be stopped for no game great team defense on that run play everybody doing their job people winning their one-on ones D lineman staying in their gaps linebackers and DBS filling you just can't do it better got stuffed on first down it's second and 10 he's looking to throw snagged in the middle it's har and a good job of coverage by that defense just a short pick up I don't know who on defense is going to cover this guy honestly he could be a problem for this def over the middle of the field in the passing it's a makeable field goal from the 29 yd line let's see how aggressive they are on Third and long they'll leave it with him he's off got some room headed to the goal line cown Colarado and the punishment has been extended and this always is the debate of where you fall it's your job to stop me or get conserved because this offense obviously has had themselves a day and apparently their day is not over they're going to continue to keep scoring and the defense better do something about it ling up to add another and the extra point just TS a little bit more onto this huge lead a very efficient five play scoring drive and he put an exclamation point on that drive with the 29 yd touchdown kickoff team is on the field they'll try to drive this one [Applause] deep he'll take the return and try to improve the field position nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 first down for this offense looking to move it through the air gets it out fast didn't pick up a lot there moved it Forward just a few it's so nice as a quarterback when you've got a guy like that working for you in the slot he has such a good feel to find the Open Spaces in the defense just makes life so much easier for his quarterback that completion leaves us with second and medium he's looking to throw just a short pass to the tight end and not much doing there as that defense runs him out of bounds well you hear all the time that the tight end's the QB's best friend you saw a perfect example of it on that last play right second down you need to pick up some positive yards to keep this third down manageable really nice job of executing here on third down for this offense motion by the back forces the defense to adjust he'll throw on third down got his After Burner coming the 20 the 10 touchdown man how hard is it to defend when you have a weapon like this at running back that can play wide receiver you can design ways to get the football in his hand Palmer once you get his he'll do the rest yeah no doubt I mean and often times those are easier throws for quarterbacks and these running backs they're just naturally so good when they have the football out in space their Vision their creativity their ability to make people miss and this guy shows you right there a difficult difficult guy to stop now if you're this defense moving forward lining up for the p right down the middle quick strike offense on that three playay scoring drive and they get it done with a big play a 76 Y for the score about to kick it off after punching it in for the touchdown on the run from inside his own five he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 Colorado has the ball back and the Buffalo hoping to put their team in Prime position on offense out across the 20 to the 21 yd line a three yd gain it's just so nice to know you can start off on first down with positive plays positive yards hand the football off set up a good second down got three on first down it's second and seven On The Run it's Hayden stacked up after gaining a couple to the 23 and these defensive tackles just eat people they swallow human beings when you get near them they're so big so strong those guys those running backs coming they just need a mid they put one mid on a running back and he usually falls to the ground just because of their sheer mass and strength to the ground with the back he'll make a play on third down he's got enough for the first as they mark it at the 32 this guy's been special today coming into this one they thought they had an opportunity really to get him going running the football and he is delivered you've seen the speed the vision his ability to break tackles well over 100 rushing yards in this game and that's why they have a nice lead here late here's the handoff really nice pick up there as they have it out to the 44 with the first down and this is exactly what you want to do when you're on offense you have the lead you want to chew the clock keep the ball on the ground keep that thing just ticking they're just imposing their will daveid and that's something that we've seen I think all game up front they've been the more physical team they're the ones that's getting push and that's getting movement and it's carrying over all the way here deep into the fourth quarter on his feet at the 45 they'll finally drag him down he gets it to the 40 and it's a first down no surprise I mean with the way they're running the ball early in this game they're just going to keep doing it and they're just not hammering out two three four y Gaines they're gashing this defense you saw it right there the buffal come to the line with a fresh set of downs they'll try the Run [Applause] didn't get much on first down it's second and nine to throw it's Sanders LS one high and deep and it slips through his fingers incomplete that would have been a huge gain if he could have squeezed it I spent time with a lot of coaches when you got a huge lead in the fourth quarter and they say run the football ball and run the clock out and I've seen a lot of other coaches that say listen they get paid to stop us it's their job to try to stop us and apparently they live in the second world as this coach on the ground it's Hayden how about this confidence in the running game and he picks up n just of the marker it'll be fourth and one and they'll run the field goal unit back out there this kicker has already banged a couple through and this one is anything but routine a 48 yd attempt from the right hatch knocked it right through showing that big range from 4 y out that lead just keeps getting fatter in this kickoff team doing a little running and he takes this from inside the five he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 first down here for the offense he's going to pass he's got it down the middle and oh he was Off to the Races after the catch and they finally drag him down this guy's having a game that feels like half a season for some he's over 450 yards and he is so dialed in with his offensive coordinator and play caller with what they want to do and how they want to attack this defense it seems like every single snap he's read the coverage he knows exct where to go with the ball and quarterback dropping back understanding I'm getting Zone coverage all I got to do is be a little bit patient manipulate that defense a little bit my wide receiver runs that drag and I get the first down line getting set on second down wide out in motion looking to throw on second down oh almost had the completion just missed it looked like the offense had a chance for a big play there but the running back just could not reel that ball in we'll see if they go back to the air after the incompletion it's third and five pre- snap motion quarterback trying to get a read he wants to throw it again he lofs it high and deep down the left side and they wanted it all on third down but now dealing with fourth down you know it's one thing to take shots early in a game when the defense may not be expecting it but at this point fourth quarter you're trailing by a lot they know you're going to do it and the defense was expecting that one great job in the back end down in the fourth quarter it's too late for empty possessions they'll go for it on fourth down he'll try to throw and pick up the first down makes the grab well past the sticks turns out to be an easy conversion for this offense as they move the chains on fourth down he's not the biggest guy in the world but on big moments big fourth Downs they look for him and those guys are so hard to get your hands on like you want to come up and jam him you know the ball's going to come out pretty quickly but he does a great job winning at the line of scrimmage QB and him same page fourth down no problem and he had it for a second but it just dribbled out of his hand it's a nice adjustment by the defense here with a big lead in the game you're putting extra DBS on the field knowing the offense has to throw to get back in this one in the fourth quarter so your best cover guys on the field and they force an incompletion on the last one after the quarterback and receiver couldn't connect it's second and 10 he's looking to throw pulls it in it's Williamson makes that one pay off and they finally get him down at the 38 it'll be first down this dude is putting up numbers he just cracked the 150 Mark in receiving yards man he's a weapon Reese he runs routes he's fast he's great with the football in his hands and he can line up in a lot of different spots and run the entire route tree I mean what can't this guy do gets it out quickly and a good job in coverage there as they stop it after just a few for wide receiver screen to work you've got to have better blocking out in front by other receivers and they're just not physical at the point on that last play Let's see what they've got on second down he's looking to throw that's caught it's young he's run out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down and at this point the defense looks as if they've been in one of those dizzy bat races they've got no idea where the ball's coming from he's over 500 yard passing yeah this is a Heisman trophy level performance from this guy the accuracy the decision making the athleticism everything has been undisplayed off the play fake on first down wants to throw firing toward the end zone and he's into the end zone for a touchdown nice pitch nice catch and listen maybe this helps next game right like we're trying to find a rhythm find something that works find somebody go to and this offense is struggling you're down by a thousand but I like that they continue to [Music] fight on to attempt the try splits the upright they go 83 yards on the drive and the scoring play comes on a touchdown pass from 22 y out just about set to kick it away coming out with it it's horn really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 and the Colorado offense is coming back onto the field Jesse they had to kick a field goal the last time they had it yeah and often times early in games you're just trying to find your Rhythm some things work some don't on that first drive Dave it be interesting to see what happens here in the second Drive yeah you got to feel for the defense now you understand what they're trying to do what their game plan is now you get to go into phase two of your game plan after the three- ydd pickup they come to the line Second and seven going to run it it's Hayden getting that push a pick up of four out to the 26 I think that was an example of the offensive coordinator trying to help out his quarterback he's trying to keep these third Downs manageable you know you throw the ball on second down and it's incomplete now you've set up third and long and now you're set up to fail facing a third down and short from the 26 wide receiver shows motion try to get the edge with a quick touch pass he'll have enough to move the chains it's first down at the 38 it's so hard for a defense to have to stop plays like that because it really forces you to play with great eye discipline you see the pre- snap motion defense doesn't know if he's just running across the field and he's going to run a route if he's going to block or if he has the football that time he was able to outflank the defense and hurt them to get that down able to SC three yard out of that one somehow it's second and seven you know it's so important for offenses to want to keep third Downs manageable the way you do that is by having success like that running the football on first down got three on first down it's second and seven they'll run it trying to drain time off the clock at the 40 there he goes he got loose almost housed it finally dragged down at the 32 man down on the play as the officials take a break to let him be checked out and the buffal are flying down the field the give out of the gun and he'll pick up one it brings up second and n six play of the drive coming up G to run it it's Hayden NOS is ahead to the 30 yd line to pick up of one this offensive line better figure out a plan for this D tackle he is tough to block with one guy you might want to start double teaming him he's going to be a problem moving forward you saw all of his ability on that last Point third and long from the 30 yd line in this defense hoping to knock them out of field goal range looking to throw it's Sanders throws toward the end zone and swatted down by the defense to stop the scoring opportunity and the offense got themselves in a tough situation third and long so hard to execute especially when the field starts to shrink but the good news is they got a field goal in their back pocket this kicker's leg is getting a workout he's already made three field goals and here he comes again he's got it showing off that big leg from 47 y out [Music] they're really starting to extend that lead as they get ready to kick it away again from inside his own 10 he'll try to help out their field position didn't find any crease in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the 17 and now this offense will take the field again the back goes in motion wasting no time throwing on this drive and the physical play there forces the incompletion on first down at this point of the game in the fourth quarter it is going to be tough for this offense to get some completions here because now trailing by this much the defense is expecting pass and they're putting a whole bunch of extra DBS on the field to help them out in coverage after misfiring it's second down he's looking to throw got it in the middle it's Williamson he's brought down solid pick up but a little bit short of the first down my old coach said you'll never go broke taking a profit take what's there take the positive yards and never complain we hit the twoin warning and this offense is desperate to make something happen and do it in a hurry so they're facing third and short from the 25 they'll try to pick it up on the ground nowhere to run on that one he loses four on the carry well the offensive line had everybody blocked except the defensive end he was able to sneak into the back field and get the tackle for L coach has no choice here the offense has to stay on the field down multiple possessions this late fourth down attempt coming makes a grab enough for the first and he breaks into the open not much of a fourth down gamble when it's that much of a sure thing and easy conversion for this offense that's a great example of the receiver knowing exactly where the first down marker is he got the depth he needed to get so once he was able to make the catch he already knew he had it now a fresh set of downs this offense has to be feeling it after that last one and it'll snap it first and 10 just outside the 20 moving the running back forcing the defense to adjust comes out throwing on first down and it's incomplete it
