from first pitch and starting in this one Simeon Woods Richardson and singy we were talking earlier about how he's doing a great job navigating through tough spots I've just been so impressed with when it seems like there's more pressure he's more calm and settles in he's done an incredible job with runners in scoring position and most guys they get a little tight they start to aim the baseball but for some reason he gets looser the ball comes out of his hand with more life and he's able to wiggle off the hook look of you know tough situations and get his team back in the Dugout gets him to chase after that one those hitters count sometimes can be a little too aggressive and a good pitcher with play off with that he's got to get a better pitch to hit the two [Applause] two two clearly didn't come out of his hand the right way left that curveball way up righty delivers and down on strikes one gone here and that's the first strike out of his major league career and it could be the first of many if he meets the goals he's set for himself and the expectations others have for him he doesn't want to just win games he wants to dominate at this level do you think Young pitchers could sometimes get too caught up in trying to rack up KS early in their career Bo I think they can it's kind of like a hitter that doesn't have power in the air right field and that's a fair ball and and that rolls into the corner the throw into second and that's a double Zack Netto with his first major league hit and this is a moment I'm sure he'll never forget congrats yeah great moment for him and is a team that just needs a calm down relax and understand that they're going to come out of this Brandon jury to the plate sh Miss runner at second two down up the middle tosses to First and the and coming into this one what stands out for me is that right-handed hitters have really struggled batting below 200 on the year it seems that they have a hard time picking up his release point and tracking the ball into the zone so we'll see how right handers do against him in this one bottom of the first and now for the twins edir Julien trying to pick up his first knock in the big leagues line drive and that should be extra bases now he'll turn for second and his first big league hit is it double eduard Julien with his first major league hit and this is a moment I'm sure he'll never forget congrats yeah great moment for him and his family a guy worked so hard and has to wait so long for this to happen and when it does can kind of be overwhelming boo you still have to stay locked Runner around third now a long throw home4 so he gets two mil stones with that hit his first big leag knock and he drives in his first run as well yeah you love to get both of those out of the way with just one swing of the bat and it makes the special moment even more special it's not just an idual accomplishment when you're also driving in a run for your team that's an in bad he's never going to [Applause] forget first and second no outs Matt Walmer the next twin up to hit the one one is fouled off it's great to get on the board in the first frame of the ball game but here's an opportunity for them to really open things up with a couple of Runners on let's see if they can cash in swing and a miss struck him out and now one away he's locked in at the plate when he's using the field he was out in front there just needs to let the ball travel a little more and his timing will be back on track good pitch for the strike out here's Royce [Applause] Lewis and now two and one at this and misses on the fast ball up in the zone for the strikeout well that high for fast it's become such a stateful as a strikeout pitch over the years and what's so tough as a hitters that you see it extremely well the problem is the velocity and spin rate drilled out towards left center field that's well struck back G it's their second home run of the inning it's five Z that was blasted he hasn't been very efficient in terms of the pitch count he's going to need to get some quick outs if he's going to get deeper into this game pass ball for a strike it is interesting though when you consider the way the game is run now doesn't even matter that much if your starter doesn't go that deep because teams are really aggressively building their bullpens tosses across the first and that not only have they already put up a bunch of runs on the board but they've also made the starter work really hard out there like I said his pitch count as high so I got to expect they'll be tur into their Bullpen sooner than they had hoped to third could be extra bases round first digging for two the throw in and he's out try for two got a l the hustle and the attitude there to try to stretch that single into a double but unfortunately thrown out at second base he was so close to being in scoring position Ryan Jeffers at the plate the [Applause] [Music] pitch one and two now and H that gets through so man aboard now with one away the back in trouble Boo and it's just been like this for him most of the game they've been all over him since his first pitch and I think he's got a very pitch sequencing there to change eye levels for the punch out that fast ball on the pitch before was off it was very competitive and that gets you thinking that he might try to climb the ladder but then the curveball out of that same tunnel just falls off the table and you can't make contact kicks and fires swing and a miss and that's strike two double barreled action in the bullpen Samuel alary alary well they didn't get much link out of their starter in this one so they've got a lot of outs to eat up in that I think they'll look for some length out of him right here if they can get it the line and the pitch got him swinging he chased the change up and one away definitely made him chase a little bit out of his own right there I don't think that's a strike if he takes it pretty textbook pitching get ahead in the count get the guy in the Box on his heels and then force him to chase your pitch where he doesn't have much of a chance to do any damage next offering is in for a strike just and guys like that they have a high contact rate and they have more barrels because of that bat being on playe and even when you don't get it great it's still hit hard enough to dunk something in like that in front of the center [Applause] fielder left the out of the stretch Runners at first and third swinging a foul over the screen and back out of [Applause] play on the ground right side they take the force out and that is the third out of the [Applause] inning we're back and they make a change to start the sixth the new pitcher Bailey over and he's got a nice lead to work with so he should
