and just try to move through a ball game so if he can find that kind of focus doesn't matter where he's pitching because he has good enough stuff to go out there and win a ball game first pitch 640 the one rolled softly but that goes [Applause] foul the one- one is fouled off little early on that fast ball I'm sure the pitcher taking a note look for an off speed pitch on this next one hard ground ball base now so a man on base to start the inning batting the short stop Bobby Whit J now here's Bobby Wht Jr what a season it's been for him he has supplied a lot of power and that average and there's a foul Ball's go [Music] Cleveland Off the Mark there and the count one and two I don't like to say he wasted a pitch I think that was a purpose pitch change the eye level have him look up Brennan moving under this one makes the grab one away third the first and here now the lineup for the Royals and a key piece a guy having a big season for them Salvador Perez well boo there aren't many guys who have a flare for the big moment like he does I mean batting over 400 with runners in scoring position are you kidding me I I know it's not guaranteed or an automatic but I hope we get to see him in a close late game situation with runners in scoring position and just see is he truly a machine or not man it first one away hit weakly on the ground towards second good feed that's one over to First SA and now it's Salvador Perez to the plate Outfield playing very deep not wanting anything over their heads and a good eye there two gone but the goahead run is at first and we're just a strike what about an umpire's height how much of a role does that play in your experience and what the strike zone is like yeah I think it pushes the strike zone up a little bit which you know as a another payoff pitch and right back to the mound slings to first they limit the damage here so one run in the Inning on this Spas hit it's now one nothing major league baseball is on the show here in things about that two out walk the base runner over at first base is going to have a very aggressive secondary lead so all down the line or into the Gap will produce a two out RBI and those are the best that is if you are the offensive side of it here's a swing and a drive left field and he M it that's one way to quiet the crowd is 26th of the year it's 2-1 one pitch one swing one home run yeah you can say that's efficiency right there didn't need much time in the Box to make it impact well Bo clearly some frustration out there on the mound right now I mean that ball was so close to going front for the strike out he came out of his mechanics there typically likes to shoot the ball the other way but that time little anxious here's Jose Ramirez he's over one that misses the zone and and he'll take first on the strikeout the first so he's able to reach first Bas despite the strike out and that extends the inning kind of a tough turn of events for the defense there yeah that's maybe a little bit of a morale killer for a second you think you're about to go hit but really quickly you have to refocus and be ready for the next play we'll see if they can work around it and now it's Josh Naylor swing and that ball smashed on a line and that will end the inning so no runs no hits and one error but they leave him stranded on to inning number four it's the Royals two and the I'm seeing very patient bats out of them he's only given up one run but the starter pitch count is starting to get up there and that might be the best news yet for this offense next offering down low and in the dirt you know sometimes all it takes is getting to the next arm before an offense does any damage and that might be the case today stays alive another one two knocks that one away and we'll do it again now he's desperately looking for that swing and Miss he's going to have to just change speeds a little bit try to move it around create just a little bit of Illusion at the end and stepping in is the Speedy Andres Jimenez singled and scored his first time that one finds the Zone it's own he's pitching well but not throwing a ton of first pitch strikes usually doesn't work out for success but you can never predict baseball next offering is down base hit that was smoked through the infield so man aboard now with one away oh a swing like that can help you come out of the struggle we saw the numbers coming into the ball game but all he's trying to do at this point is help his team win and up next for Cleveland Lane Thomas he reached on a walk his first time not even close there and that's ball one pretty smart to serve something up for him right there he's really good at hitting the first pitch home team down a run we're here in the bottom of the [Applause] fourth this is one of those situations the infielders have to pre-plan and understand that the ball's got to be hit extremely hard right at them if they're going to have a chance to go for a double fourth round back in 2015 rander kicks deals and there's a ball well usually a high level of confidence when you're facing a young pitcher out there on the mound in this situation ahead 2 has put himself in a really good spot there's the strike two and one now goodness I think he just took the best pitch he's going to see in this at bat you don't get many like that in that location I don't know if you take that pitch against any pitcher out there in the mound and that one missing low and he walked him maybe a little loss of focus on the mound right there pretty much gifted him first base with a quick free pass Kyle Isbell steps in for the Royals went down on strikes his first time through yeah that one outside and that is ball one fast ball for a strike [Applause] nobody out runner at first swing and a highfly ball pretty well struck right field that one back there that skips over the fence so it's an automatic double and boy do they catch a break otherwise you're looking at Runners around the bases and probably a run that scores so the lineup flips over Michael Massie steps in for the Royals that one inside ball one and a pitch hammered could be extra bases one runs in now the second run is in it's 4-1 and he's got a double wasting no time he's two for two now on the night and just a triple and home run away from the cycle seriously we're starting with this already so up now for Kansas City Bob BBY Whit Jr he's already homered in this game there's a swing and a drive and it hits the top of the wall coming home relay throw home the tag and he's safe this offense is on fire three extra base hits in a row challenged him with the fast ball right in the heart of the zone and he was clearly ready to jump all over it they turn things over to the Southpaw Tim Heron left-handed batter at the plate and he's been excellent in those matchups this year so this seems like a calculated move Vinnie pasquantino steps in for the Royals and the first pitch misses for ball one well these Royals really impressing me with the quality of their bats in this one it's been fun getting a chance to see him go to work it looked to me like they really wanted to get to either strike this guy out or get a ground ball double play that one misses and it's one and two he missed badly with that O2 fast ball hitter has to understand probably wants to try to put him away with that pitch so got to stay ready for it Lefty out of the stretch Runners at first and third spoils the two strike pitch and he'll see another and the ball leav a count got him and there's two down a Duren thr at the plate it's been such a good hitter with Runners and scoring position some guys just take it to another level for him right now at the plate it's like everyone else is in slow motion strike one well he had a pretty good look at that pitch and not sure exactly what tied him up there couldn't pull the trigger and perhaps the best pitch you'll see in this at bat to hit and the
